Donald Trump, the Not Above the Law coalition is holding a press conference at Foley Square in New York to emphasize the seriousness of the 34 criminal charges against Trump—particularly his falsifying of business records to deceive the electorate and interfere with the election—and to call for a fair and prompt trial that allows for accountability. Speakers at the press conference demonstrated how this case is yet another clear example of Trump’s pattern of doing anything to get and stay in power—including hiding the truth from voters. Participants will send the clear message that Trump must be held accountable for continuing to upend and undermine a bedrock principle of our country: That no one, not even a former president, is above the law.
