ok ok i know a lot of posting i just have a lot to say and i feel bad making my friends hear about it on my private story😭 anyways!!

first of all, did a deep dive about the 1982 drivers strike led by niki lauda. my thoughts? DRIVER SLEEPOVER!! that’s so so funny to me, and my main question is could they even all understand each other? like did they all have a language in common or were they just like. using each other as translators if they couldn’t understand another driver? idk, it’s all just so interesting to me.

second of all, kevin magnussen. i don’t know how to even convey my feelings and opinions on kmag. i love him. he’s one of my favourite drivers, because he’s always seemed so chill and down to earth. i was going back through his old instagram posts from when he left f1, and the way haas still liked every post of his? his post wishing romain well after his crash. the way romain consistently liked his post. the one comment from esteban saying they’ll see him again soon when he left. just. ugh. i have a lot of feelings about kmag. the way he talked about wanting to be an f1 driver when he was a kid and his teachers laughing at him and how he had no idea how he was gonna make it but he was sure he would. AND HE DID!!! i think about him a lot guys.

nico hulkenberg too. i think about both of the haas drivers like an unreasonable amount. they are the haas dads, how could anyone not love them? also, nico and kevin are actually both so unbelievably fine, don’t even try and argue!!

trying to organize my thoughts after this race. unfortunately i fell asleep and didn’t watch it, but just based on the results. my first thought, carlos is beating charles, this year. maybe that hasn’t always been the case, but this year? carlos is racing for everything and it shows. the three races that carlos has raced in, he’s beaten charles. second, hulkenberg near points!! haas i will always be proud of anything you do!! also being lewis hamilton in this race must’ve been so scary, because max lapped everyone up to him. also, danny ric dnf 😭 im so sad about that, because he was looking good in quali, and then that happened. good for yuki getting points tho!! i don’t have much else to say, just kinda interesting results but fairly expected!

i cry over the haas boys constantly, cry about lance stroll, cried about logan, cried about the carlando podium, cry about daniel being outshined by yuki, cry about liam lawson not getting a seat even when he was outperforming yuki, cry about lewis and nico, cry about lew to ferrari, cry about every mention of jules, like im such a crier

-this was my rant to my friend about a tiktok i saw saying they cried over the drivers a lot, and just yeah. of course i cry over the drivers all the time. i cry over everything.

AS WELL!! I watched the Melbourne grand prix last night, it’s the first race I’ve ever watched and honestly? I’m so happy my first race was a non redbull win! It was so so cool, and the ferrari team all singing the italian anthem together at the end? like driving me insane this sport is so gorgeous guys. i just love it so much. also go aston martin, really sucks about the fernando penalty but did kinda look like he was breaking early. george russell crash 😭 the panic in his voice over the radio calling for a red flag? so so heartbreaking, i was so scared for him. i’m really proud of haas for getting two cars in the points, slay for yuki for getting points, shame for williams after all they’re shit about taking logan out of the car just to not get points, and then more horrid pit stops for stake/kick/sauber whatever they’re called! and alpine, driving their tractors.

no because what do you mean two millionaires who were childhood best friends grew up and were so so excited to race cars together for the same team and then they started getting jealous and both of them wanted more and it took such a toll on one of them mentally that he couldn’t eat anything but a food they ate together all the time in the weekend he won the championship, and that within three days of winning his only championship he retired, all because he couldn’t handle the sacrifices or losing his bestie but the friendship was already wrecked and there was nothing they could do to save it AND THEY STILL BRING EACH OTHERS NAMES UP EVERYTIME THEY ARE GIVEN THE CHANCE and one of them constantly says his best times in racing were when he was in karting when their friendship was still good and one still brings the other’s daughters presents and they live in the same building in monaco and one of them has “dived” into his place to avoid seeing the other in the hallway.

ok so this was inspired by a tiktok about brocedes, aka lewis hamilton and nico rosberg and specifically a comment saying that people never believe that f1 could produce a story so crazy, and how it’s insane that these things actually happened. and just. yeah. i have so many feelings about lewis and nico. also side note but one of them saying that toto wolff has never been angrier than when they crashed into each other? i have so many thoughts about these guys i will post more about them i am sure
