HC would be a food creator on tiktok who isn’t a professional chef but clearly knows what he’s doing in the kitchen.

His videos are always beautifully filmed and edited; sometimes overlayed with music, other times he lets his cooking do the talking.

The recipes he cooks are usually complex and extravagant, explained by the fact that his work hours are flexible and can be done from home.

Additionally, he has a playlist of videos to explain simple techniques to viewers newer to cooking.

In response to a dismissive comment on one of these videos saying, “if you don’t know how to properly cook an egg, what have you been doing your whole life??” HC states that he himself only had limited cooking instruction from his mother when she was alive - the rest he taught himself - and that not everyone has the privilege of growing up in a house that can afford to cook each meal from scratch, or learning from a guardian.

Interactions like these always increase respect for @ paradisekitchen .

HC doesn’t show his face on camera, though he is recognizable by the illegible scribbles on his forearm. He also wears a variety of aprons in his videos and lives. His favorite one seems to be a cartoon drawing of a fox and a ferret cuddling!

At the end of HC’s videos, two pairs of chopsticks dig into the elegantly plated dishes. Viewers assume it’s a close friend of his because it’s the same hand appearing every time. Often, they give a thumbs up, a finger heart, or an OK sign to praise the delicious food.

Once, they even lifted their chopsticks forward, presenting the next bite to HC.

That video has the most liked and largest comment section on HC’s page thus far.

Say what you want about Luo Binghe (I have a lot to say about Luo Binghe, the guy is a menace - well canon Binghe from the first plot), but his creativity when it comes to punishment speaks of an evil that did not start from adulthood.

The ripping of arms and legs WITH HIS BARE HANDS aside, he threw his second biggest bully into a pit of fiery ants. Really sloooow and painful death.

(But why am I surprised? We're talking about the guy who learnt from Shen Quingqiu the original, aka the dude who killed his senior by firing a thousand swords into him at the same time, dissecting him so badly that not even a strand of hair was left of him. Ok I know probably a lot of people in the SVSSS fandom don’t ig like Liu Qingge and Yue Qingyuan as a pairing.

BUT HEAR ME OUT.

I feel like they have a LOT of potential and I know it very much is a Liu Qingge, Yue Qingyuan or BOTH of them like Shen Qingqiu,

But what if, it’s more of a they’re kinda overprotective of him, like Liu Qingge is his younger brother who wants nobody else around him and Yue Qingyuan is just Liu Qingge’s boyfriend

You'd think it very clearcut -- two swords that eat your life force in exchange for massive strength and power to quickly return to the person you love, and whose presence backfires immensely.

Except consider this: In your hubris, you didn’t pay attention to the warning signs, and here you are now, almost dead -- and you will die soon, if nothing is done. The only way out, to survive, is to bind your soul to something inhuman. It will constrict you, will make whole swathes of the world unavailable to you, and if you try to do said things nonetheless, you will die. For real, this time.

But you need it, and you think, fuck, well at least it has given me the power needed to make an impact on the world, to transform it into something kinder to the person I love.

So you carry it with you, for the rest of your days. But you do things; have done things in the past; are unable to do what you need to do; and it causes hurt to the very person you wish to protect, and the thought of explaining doesn't even come to your mind. It wouldn't help things, you are sure.

The only difference between a happy ending and a tragedy, is whether or not they will turn their back on you, or try desperately to be allowed to be close to you, despite what they percieve to be rejection.
