I can smell trouble in the Air.

I always have wondered why the suit of Spades is interpreted negatively when one is reading playing cards? Generally, this element isn’t negative at all, in fact when you actually learn more about it’s influence you begin to see how it’s impact could be beneficial, or rewarding. So why is it more often than not interpreted to be bad? Let’s go more in depth about this unseen force and how it affects our lives.

Many card readers will interpret Air to be something that challenges us, or is meant to teach valuable lessons, though this lesson or challenge does not always align with what we want. Our egos and emotional attachments are the reasons we associate it with negativity. All of us have an them to some extent, it is only human nature. So from our point of view we see it as misfortunes happening now, or in the immediate future, but it does not always operate this way. 

Air has many associations aside from learning. It is linked with heights, wind and the sky for obvious reasons. Which creates a link to the divine. So this connection to spirituality creates more links to things such as enlightenment, wisdom, truth etc. More closely related associations are psychic abilities, thoughts, higher consciousness, visualization & concentration, intelligence & logic, freedom and all forms of communication and travel. I feel that perceiving Spades in a negative way may limit your receptivity, and cause inaccurate readings, or readings may seem unclear. The world is not so black or white, There are several shades of gray in between!

We must not forget about how Air got it’s reputation of bringing pain and sadness. All elements have varying degrees of destructive properties, and when Air destroys, you better get used to being uncomfortable. You should not expect to find much sympathy or relief anywhere. After Air destroys, putting your faith in the universe & letting go is the best thing you can do for yourself because your ego/material/emotional attachments will be akin to the aftermath of a hurricane or a plane crash. 

All elements can have their way of being destructive, but the others differ because they either go unrecognized, could be prevented or prepared for to some extent, and you will be able to find relief and sympathy. If Air was manifested into a human likeness I would imagine their personality would be detached and indifferent when they need to be. A “hate me now, but thank me later” type of person. They would be able to sense toxic situations & people & won’t hesitate to cut you out of their life. They would see a situation with clarity, and will reveal the truth one way or another without sugarcoating to spare your feelings. In that moment you will detest their wise advise, in denial of the truth, but sooner or later you come to your senses and appreciate them again.

Most people experience some type of toxic situation, people or behavior at some point, and even if we can recognize how it is bad for us we still remain sedentary. Air destroys all of the sweet, rewarding, pleasurable, tormenting, painful, unhealthy toxicity we decide to put ourselves in. Usually after a long period of living that way. In my personal experience, I have had readings warn of this kind of bitch slap to the face, seen red flags, and would ignore them because of the attachments I had to the situation and I was invested in those attachments 100%. But eventually I lost control and the elements had to intervene. If it was not for my world around me falling apart, I wouldn’t have known I was capable of rebuilding to where I am today. 

Air only destroys things to save you from your vices and toxic attachments. It will not destroy something that helps grow and prosper. And if you disagree, you probably don’t know how to recognize something that’s toxic/ unhealthy. Even in hindsight, and if I were you I wouldn’t get too comfy because you will have similar experiences until you learn what you have to learn to unblock your growth.

In conclusion, Spades isn’t so evil after all, and it’s the toxic parts of ourselves that makes feel that way in the first place.The downside is it doesn’t care about what we want, it’s trying to help see clearly so we can continue our spiritual growth. When it destroys, the impact is always devastating, however it only destroys things that are already falling apart.  

I covered a lot on the stigma related to Air, but not everything. So I will definitely follow up with a part 2 shortly. One last thing, I said something that made a very good point. All four elements have potential to destroy, they all have potential to create conflict, etc. In fact, all of the elements can manifest into some type of negative influence in our lives, and they are just as bad, if not worse than Air. Let Me Give You A Cartomancy Reading

Humor me, people. Let me give you a card reading.

 Why? 

 I am bored.

 I want to develop better skills reading cards remotely

 I feel like the Tumblr crowd is going to be more honest when giving critique or feedback than Facebook would.

 You all have problems, and could probably use help anyways.

I personally don’t believe it is fair for complete strangers to consult a Fortune Teller with vague details and poorly illustrating important factors to the problem or reason they consulted a psychic in the first place, and expect that person to be able to take their hand, and guide them towards all of the answers to their questions... However, I’ve come to find out even the most vague questions can be provided with answers when you read for someone. So, with that being said feel free to ask me about anything you want more insight to. You can be as vague, or as descriptive as you like.

My reason for preferring more details is because card reading involves putting your energy into the cards and meditatively setting your intentions on what you are asking. While shuffling, use that time to clear your mind then you can review the details in your head: Who am I reading for? What are they asking? Who is involved? What spread will I use? Then you can cut the deck and select your cards.

I noticed that the less information available to me, the less information will be available to you. But any way you look at it, you are still getting more answers than you would without getting a reading. So, why not?

The first column shows the premise of the situation. The third column shows outside or unknown influences that affect the outcome of the situation. The middle column shows the likely outcome. I like to observe the first and last card because they give you an idea of what the entire situation entails . Mainly the suits, but sometimes the card has a huge meaning behind it.The influence of clubs and diamonds together in that order indicates earned rewards, the fruits of labor, maybe even raising energy. I also examine the center card because it is the focus of the reading. The ace of clubs often shows the beginning of a new project or documents that need signed, It may mean focus, drive, free will, institutions & buildings. Even a friends home or the home of somebody else.So we already know due to the lack of hearts and this reading that emotions are lacking so change will require more work instead of coming naturally. In the last column I believe this is trying to tell me that I need a break from working plus like having the stress of my relationship and I need a break. The center column shows us the answer. The nine of clubs at the top indicates time space even distance and as I mentioned before the ace of clubs could mean focus. And the five of hearts often associated with emotional freedom and experiencing many feelings. So I take that as taking time for myself focusing on my emotional freedom and I don’t think I am going toSee a straight answer without a bunch of work. But for now I should just focus on myself.When you add up all the cords digits together and reduce it to one single digit the number you get seven so seven is a number of Healing , Silence, self reflection, and rest. Which again emphasizes the need for me to focus on myself and reflect on the situation.

This week I did my first remote readings for complete  strangers from a Cartomancy group I joined on Facebook... I am very happy with the satisfaction of providing people with insight to any questions they have.
