People have commented on my fic that I constantly bully Yuji when he appears. But the Yuji-bullying is innate to the series, I'm nothing but a messenger amplifying the message.

Thoughts on JJK Chapter 258 (spoilers)
Tumblr media
We get an explanation about what happened to Gojo after his two BF and what should've happened to Sukuna but didn't because Yuji's BF disrupted his cohesion to Megumi's soul and body.
Sukuna of course, in complete bitch mode, expanded his domain as an answer to Yuji's attacks. His domain construct looks significantly different to his previous ones though and there is an explanation for that as well.
Sukuna is still suffering the effects of Gojo's Unlimited Void but he compensated for that by using other areas of his brain. He also had to use Binding Vows and a different hand sign (the fuck) and he expanded MS with a shell.
When I first saw that new construct I thought that Sukuna had somehow incorporated the 10Shadows into his domain but no, he changed his domain so much that the construct changed with it.
The shape isn't out of the blue though: it has hands symbolizing how Sukuna uses his slashes and the eyes and spine are like the mouth in his normal construct. The antlers on top are from his inner domain where there are deer skulls everywhere.
The many eyes could also symbolize Gojo because, as we see in a few panels clearly but can guess in this panel as well, Sukuna used Gojo's hand sign. The eyes have Sukuna's double/triple iris though.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another explanation, this time on healing others. This is huge for Shoko's part because we've had trouble understanding the full extant of her healing ability. She can't e.g. regenerate an arm but now her healing has the potential to shoot up when her patient is someone she's compatible with (like Gojo?)
The gang is at the beginning of the time skip (no Gojo here again) and they discuss Yuji eating his brothers to gain a CT and RCT. We also find out what the soul switching is (Ui Ui's CT) and how they utilized it for their (cheater) training.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yuji and some others have also learned Simple Domain like this. Ui Ui's CT has some limits on how often it can be used so I'm curious who did which switching with whom. We're also talking about souls again so could Ui Ui switch Megumi's soul too?
We also learn that Sukuna DE is incomplete and can't be maintained for long. Because his domain has a shell, it's range is smaller (only about his Megumi-induced range of Shibuya.) But the Sure-hit still activates everywhere making sure that Maki is also targeted.
It's only 99 seconds though that Malevolent Shrine lasts and the four panels showing the gang enduring it with their SDs is pretty cool.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I have no idea what is going with Maki though. Who's with her? Larue???)
The next panels were awesome but I did take 3 seconds to understand it so here:
Tumblr media
Yuji re-attached his cut off foot with blood manipulation and RCT!
But of course, Sukuna is still in bitch mode and activates his secret technique that we've been waiting for all this time: It's FURNACE
Yes, his CT really is a kitchen. Don't be surprised when he opens his faucet next and don't forget, Sukuna one-shotted Jogo and Makora with his fire arrow.

When the rest of the world looks at the united states right now, we see a government who sends billions to support genocide but cannot help their own people starving on the streets.
We see a police force who won't go in to save children from school shootings, but deploy at a rapid rate to arrest peaceful protestors using their right to free speech to protest a genocide
America, you are a war mongering snake eating your own tail. You will protect and support war criminals in another country but let your own people starve and die
To the students bravely protesting now, we see your strength. We see what we saw when students protested the Vietnam War. We have faith you will prevail

i think its so funny that alumni from schools like harvard and columbia that were there during the protests in the 60s-80s are expressing support for students currently protesting against the genocide in palestine, and random zionists that were NOT at these protests in the 60s-80s have the never ending audacity to tell these alumni "well thats different, what you protested was good and what they're protesting is bad." as if protesters against the vietnam war and apartheid south africa were not also demonized, arrested, brutalized, and even killed for their activism. history only remembers them fondly after the damage has already been done.

Hundreds of Jewish anti-war demonstrators have been arrested during a Passover seder that doubled as a protest in New York, as they shut down a major thoroughfare to pray for a ceasefire and urge the Senate majority leader, Chuck Schumer, to end US military aid to Israel.
The 300 or so arrests took place on Tuesday night at Grand Army Plaza, on the doorstep of Schumer’s Brooklyn residence, where thousands of mostly Jewish New Yorkers gathered for the seder, a ritual that marked the second night of the holiday celebrated as a festival of freedom by Jews worldwide.
The seder came just before the US Senate resoundingly passed a military package that includes $26bn for Israel.

In the spirit of encouraging people to comment on fanfics while also making it easier to do so, I feel obliged to share a browser extension for ao3 that has quite literally revolutionized the comment game for me.
I present to you: the floating ao3 comment box!
From what I've seen, a big problem for many people is that once you reach the comments at the bottom of a fic, your memory of it miraculously disappears. Anything you wanted to say is stuck ten paragraphs ago, and you barely remember what you thought while reading. This fixes that!
I'll give a little explanation on the features and how it works, but if you want to skip all that, here's the link.
The extension is visible as a small blue box in the upper left corner.
(Side note: The green colouring is not from the extension, that's me.)
Tumblr media
If you click on it, you open a comment box window at the bottom of your screen but not at the bottom of the fic. I opened my own fic for demonstrative purposes.
Tumblr media
The website also gives explanations on how exactly it functions, but I'll summarize regardless.
insert selection -> if you highlight a sentence in the fic it will be added in italics to the comment box
add to comment box -> once you're done writing your comment, you click this button and the entire thing will automatically copied to the ao3 comment box
delete -> self explanatory
on mulitchapter fics, you will be given the option to either add the comment to just the current chapter or the entire fic
The best part? You can simply close the window the same way you opened it and your progress will automatically be saved. So you can open it, comment on a paragraph, and then close it and keep reading without having the box in your face.
Comments are what keep writers going, and as both a writer and a reader, I think it's such an easy way of showing support and enthusiasm.

When I made this post just ten days ago, it was about mass graves discovered at Al Shifa hospital and now we have learned that the same had happened at Nasser hospital in Gaza. The same genocidal pattern: a hospital is put under siege, patients and medical staff are abducted, tortured and buried in mass graves.
But to build on the last point I wanted to bring attention to in the previous post, it is very crucial to also keep in mind is that the Palestinian Civil Defence have reported that Israel had deliberately concealed the identities of those it killed and buried in these mass graves. Close to 400 bodies have been buried in these mass graves, 58% of the recovered bodies have not been identified.
In a press conference, a spokesperson of the civil defence in Gaza said that Israel had intentionally disfigured the bodies postmortem in order to remove any identifying markers such as birthmarks. He also mentioned that they suspect that the bodies have been placed in body bags that expedited the decomposition process, destroying any possibility of them being identified.
One of the main and only ways families have been able to identify the bodies of their loved ones is through the clothes they remember them wearing the last time they saw them. I saw a video of a mother identifying her son by his striped jacket. You can see the grief mixed with relief that she will be able to give her son proper burial.
Remember when months ago I said that to be identified and buried in Gaza has become a luxury? This is very much still the case.

New chapter for GoWaD is up! We're nearing the end of Part 1!
This chapter is about the reunion between Toji and Benimaru. It's introspective, a bit depressive but also uplifting at the same time. Most of the chapter also takes place inside the shower but no sexy times happen unfortunately.
Right now, I'm also working on the new chapter for Bandaid. Megumi is filling out his application for JJ High which will prompt Gojo to harrass him about 10 minutes later until Megumi snaps and fights 70% of the students presents.

Both Toji and Ryomen survive the happenings of the past, stay low and apparently go separate ways (they kinda do but still fuck on occasion).
The Itadoris are heartbroken about it and Ryomen becomes somewhat of a taboo topic but the boys are extremely curious about him especially Sukuna. Later it turns out that Ryomen works with Kenjaku and the teens end up on a mission where they meet him.
Only the first years though and Ryomen beats them bloody but doesn't kill them because Toji's son is with them (that's an excuse he tells himself because he wouldn't be able to bring himself to kill his nephew) but then Sukuna sees his brother with broken bones and deep cuts and he takes that badly.
How dare his uncle hurt his brother and that with his technique on top. He swears vengeance against him especially because they're related. Yuji isn't so keen on that but the next time they meet him he's with his brother fighting his uncle.
Their parents told them about why Ryomen turned out like that and how he was disillusioned about the world and how he thought that when he controlled everything everyone would become happier but his mind became darker and darker as time went on.
They fight but at the end Ryomen simply leaves. He had the opportunity to kill his nephews several times and he was even extremely close to it more than once but he had realized that he couldn't kill his own family. He had played with these boys when they were really small especially with Sukuna. So he simply leaves when he had the opportunity.
No one knows what to do with that later and no one knows where Ryomen went to, not even Kenjaku. Except Toji of course because the big bad sorcerer needed a (sex) buddy to cry his eyes out drink his problems away and one-armed Toji was a good listener when you paid him enough.
They end up in a 5 Star restaurant, Ryomen with his head in his hands and Toji eating his money away but then... Megumi, Yuji and Sukuna show up.
Turns out that Toji had invited Megumi to the dinner fully expecting him to decline like always but Yuji had convinced Megumi to go to mend family relationships before you lost them forever and he would help with the awkwardness by coming with him. Sukuna went with them too just so he could protect Megumi's honour or sth when his old men turned out to be as bad as his uncle.
So all of them were flabbergasted to hell and back when they found themselves in the same restaurant BUT no one was able to fight it out despite half of them wanting to really badly.
Just as a precaution, Megumi insisted on a binding vow with Yuji and Sukuna where they wouldn't start fights without his approval. A binding vow that was suspiciously similar to one that Ryomen and Toji had between them to ensure peaceful outings.
In other words, without the approval of the Fushiguros, the Itadoris weren't allowed to throw hands again. They were also too proud to leave so the most awkward, stressful, intense and anxiety inducing dinner took place.
For the Itadoris. The Fushiguro father-son-pair found common ground in their relationship for the first time in years, and that was to silently watch, analyze and judge a family dynamic even more fucked up than theirs.
Hmm. A thought occurs, as to how nothing bad happens between Toji and the 2007 kids--
If Ryomen was already working with him and Shiu, and there was a non-zero chance that any conflict with Jujutsu Tech was going to touch his family, you know he'd shut that shit down. Killing other main house sorcerers? Sounds like fun! But what if Kaori is getting an assignment the day of and tries to intervene? What if Sukuna is using the training grounds--he's not a first year yet, but he's got to practice somewhere that isn't on people, right?--and gets roped into it?
Guy's definitely a murderer but he's got, like, three and a half people he's not getting involved in this shit.
(the "half" is Jin because he still smacks Jin around sometimes but ONLY Ryomen gets away with that)
ooh but let me put the twist (and possibly angst), what if ryomen decided to betray his family and actually going down the same path as toji? Like, he starts to hate sorcerers and not gonna hesitate to off them for money or something like that.
yuuji and sukuna having a “battle” with their uncle, do you guys get my vision here

Sukuna's Fingers
Tumblr media
Now that we know that Yuji was born with (or created with or being fed) a sealed finger from Sukuna, what does that say about the finger count?
First, being sealed means that the power of the finger was inaccesable to Sukuna and even its presence was hidden from him and anyone else. We can directly compare this with other humans who had been fed the cursed objects of the past sorcerers, especially Tsumiki.
From what we know, Gojo was never able to figure out how Tsumiki was cursed, in other words, even with the Six-Eyes the cursed object inside of her was invisible to him, which was definitely intended that way by Kenjaku. If he had met Yuji before he ate the finger from the school, then Gojo wouldn't have seen the first finger in him either.
(It would be interesting to know if Toji and Maki, people who can see souls, would've been able to see the cursed object.)
Still, the sealed cursed objects can have an effect on the hosts otherwise Tsumiki wouldn't have fallen into a coma no one managed to wake her up from for 1 and half years. The popular theory that I like that Megumi felt that sealed finger during his first encounter with Yuji can still work as well by assuming that Megumi (the 1 in a million chance at surviving Sukuna's finger) has a special compatibility with the King of Curses.
The count of the fingers in terms of strength stays the same as it was told in the story. When Sukuna fought Megumi he was 3 fingers strong, when he fought Jogo and Makora he was 15 fingers strong. Only after Kenjaku broke the seal of all the cursed objects he had given people, did the strength of that very first finger count towards the others.
Tumblr media
Yuji did not react in that moment even though it would've made great forshadowing. It's logical that he didn't react though because Sukuna's strength is completely irrelevant to Yuji suppressing him. But Sukuna definitely felt the additional finger and used it later.
So when Sukuna took over Megumi it was with 16 fingers and their full strength. Consequently, Yuji, Maki, Ryo and Yorozu fought against a 16 finger Sukuna as well. When Uraume gave Sukuna the fingers she collected, we were only shown 3 with the remark that 1 finger was missing.
Sukuna compensated the strength of that last finger (somehow) by eating his past body's head (eating his own flesh and blood is a favourite pastime of him as we learned last chapter.) He was then 19 + 1 fingers strong. He said that Gojo probably hid the last finger to postpone Yuji's execution indefinitely and in his fight against Yuta that was confirmed.
So how and why did Kenjaku do this to Yuji? What were his plans for him? Most likely he wanted to own Sukuna in some way and him changing to Megumi probably derailed his plans somewhat. It also seems strange how callous he acted about Yuji's survival this whole time but that might be explained by
having replacement Yuji's walking around (secret Yuji twin anyone) but they would lack a Sukuna finger, or
having a plan to use Yuji as his next vessel so he would be able to suppress Sukuna on his own.
It was already said Geto appearing made Kenjaku change his plans in some way, so that might've saved Yuji from being killed and possessed by his mother.

A commonly overlooked symptom of depression is anhedonia, the inability to feel joy or pleasure. The reason that it's easy to overlook is that it's easier to miss the absence of something that's not around all the time than it is to miss a symptom that causes active distress, such as feeling tired and miserable all the time.
Anhedonia is good at being a persistent undercurrent to your life. My aunt, who has major depressive disorder, related to me that she figured out that something was wrong when she looked at the daffodils she had planted blooming, and couldn't recognize the emotion that she felt when she looked at them. It had been long enough since she had felt happy that she lost the ability to recognize the emotion.
It's a particularly dangerous depressive symptom, because it robs you of the ability to feel those little spots of joy that keep a lot of people going, while not doing anything to impair your ability to function. If you don't know that this is a treatable symptom of depression, it's easy to assume that your ability to feel good is permanently broken, and decide to commit suicide because you don't want to live like that. It's not an irrational conclusion, but it is an uninformed one, and everyone deserves to have all the information when making a major decision.
This is what a lot of questionnaires are trying to look for when they ask about "loss of enjoyment". If you can't remember a loss of enjoyment because you can't remember enjoyment, then you probably have anhedonia. If you struggle to define how it is to feel "happy", "content", or "good", or how it feels when you feel those emotions, you probably have anhedonia. If you can't remember feeling any of those emotions for a week or more, you probably have anhedonia.
Symptoms commonly co-occurring with anhedonia are fatigue (often the cause), clear and thoughtful consideration of suicide, loss of desire to socialize or do activities that used to make you happy, and weight loss (due to lack of enjoyment of food).
This section is anecdotal. In what I have observed, anhedonia due to fatigue rarely responds well to depression treatment unless depression was causing the fatigue. If fatigue and anhedonia are co-occurring and are not both alleviated by depression treatment, consider other causes for the fatigue.
