Idk why this popped into my brain but it occurred to me that Eddie was probably on those celebrity editions of game shows. Celebrity Jeopardy, Celebrity Who Wants to be a Millionaire, etc…

And it just made me laugh so hard. The idea of Eddie Munson with Regis. Of calling Steve as a phone a friend for a basketball question and Steve being like Eddie I don’t know everything about basketball. But the answer is Larry Bird.

Just TikTok finding clips of Eddie yelling “suck it, Dan Cortese!” after obliterating them all at final jeopardy.

This fills me with so much joy! I love it so much.

Eddie does not go on Celebrity Who Wants to be a Millionaire by choice. He pissed off the band’s manager just enough that they signed him up for it without his knowledge, and he’s not doing it. He got the letter in the mail and it’s not happening.

Eddie ‘Six Years of High School’ Munson is not going on national television and making himself look like an idiot when he doesn’t even get to be in on the joke. No way.

“Dick move, man,” Gareth shrugs after Eddie put his foot down. “Even if you fuck the first question, they’re still gonna donate to your charity of choice. And like, maybe this is just the amount of money needed to cure cancer. Or epilepsy.”

“…You fucking suck, Gareth.”

“Yeah, I do!”

Eddie begrudgingly shows up and goes through the whole rigmarole to get mic’ed up, just ready to make a fool out of himself and call it a day. It turns out that he knows a lot more than he thought he did because he breezes through the first round of questions.

He knows enough about history, music, and the arts just from planning his D&D campaigns and reading about things he likes. He’s surprised by how much surface knowledge he’s gained from listening to the kids logic their way through their science and math homework, but sports are a bust.

He gets lucky on a few questions, but ends up using his Phone a Friend to call his partner, Steve. Steve and Eddie spend the first fifteen seconds arguing about how Eddie shouldn’t have wasted his phone a friend on Steve because he doesn’t know anything. And then once he hears the question, he’s like, “Larry Bird” and hangs up.

Eddie doesn’t win a millionaire dollars for his charity, but he wins quite a bit.

Afterwards when he’s still so hyped up about not being dumb, Steve’s just like ???? “Ed, you were never dumb. You just had trouble taking tests and none of your teachers accommodated your very obvious ADHD. You’ve always been brilliant.”

“Now everybody knows it.”

“Yeah,” Steve agreed. “Yeah, they do.”

Eddie signs up for Celebrity Jeopardy himself.

One of the first things that Steve and Wayne bonded over was a love for Jeopardy. Wayne has watched Jeopardy before he left for work for as long as Eddie has known him, and Steve was more than happy to sit with him when it was on. They both continued to watched even after Steve and Eddie moved to Chicago and sometimes they’d call each other if Final Jeopardy was “crazy.”

The band wasn’t touring as much as they used too and they’re all pretty much working on their own projects at this point. Steve’s finishing up his master’s degree while teaching full time and doesn’t really have a lot of time for him. Eddie is in between projects and creatively tapped out, and worst of all, he’s bored.

So when his manager passively mentions Celebrity Jeopardy, Eddie tells him to sign him up for it. When they accept his application, the only people he tells about it are Dustin and Nancy.

He only tells them because he wants their help studying for it because he wants to win this time. So, they study and it sucks. If Eddie ever sees another world famous Nancy Wheeler flashcard again, he’ll tear off his arm. He hates every second of their study sessions.

Eddie makes it through the quarterfinals and then he makes it to the semi-finals (knocking out Dan Cortese). He doesn’t win the tournament because he bets big on a Daily Double and gets it wrong, but he’s fairly close to the lead after Final Jeopardy.

It’s not bad for a guy that failed his senior year three times.

The fun part comes when it airs. He painstakingly sets up their camcorder so Steve won’t notice it before the show starts. The video he gets has a good five minutes of Steve fussing with a blanket up until they say ‘Eddie Munson.’

Steve looks up and then looks at Eddie, and then back at the tv, “Wha- what? Is that – that’s you! You’re on Jeopardy! Eddie, you’re on – oh my god, we’ve got to call Wayne.”

Before Steve can even do that, their phone is ringing and Steve answers it like, “HE DIDN’T TELL ME EITHER!” while Eddie is laughing his ass off.

When Eddie posts a TikTok about it like, ‘LOL remember when I was on Jeopardy?’ it includes this moment. It also includes footage from the semi-finales where Steve is just pacing the living room and repeatedly telling Eddie to just tell him if he won or not. Steve cheers like he’s at a football game when Eddie wins.

It’s just as tense when the video cuts to Steve watching the finale. Steve knows the answer to the daily double that Eddie gets wrong and is like, ‘This is why they should do Jeopardy Couples, we’d win so hard.’ Steve’s not even disappointed that Eddie lost, keeping the same enthusiasm through the show and then is like, “I’m married to a Jeopardy contestant. I’m so telling Janet about this at the staff meeting tomorrow.”

I just had such an odd dream?? Abt Lego monkie kid season 5??? It was so weird and I wanna share it, but I’m also gonna leave a TW for suicide because ??? Idek what this dream was 😭

It started with my friend (who doesn’t even watch the show) sending me a video on Instagram that’s just, like, the entire first episode?? So I start watching it and it follows MK and his friends (minus Monkey King) checking out this spooky abandoned building that kind of looks reminiscent of Macaque’s theatre

Macaque is there too, as part of the group, and he’s just depressed. Like bro is gloomy, talking like Misery from Ruby Gloom. Anyway, I’m not sure if they’re trying to track down this ghost or stop some sort of paranormal activity, but the gang needed Macaque’s help in order to do it.

But for some reason, it’s super dangerous for Macaque to do whatever he has to do, like only the strongest shadow magic can do this (I still don’t know what it even is that he’s supposed to be doing) and because of how depressed he is, his magic is also weaker. Pigsy and Tang straight up roast him saying he has the weakest shadow magic they’ve ever seen, and that if he tries doing whatever they asked him to do, he’ll likely die but Macaque knows this and makes it clear that’s what he wants

He tries doing it and there’s some really cool black and white animation from his magic that swirls around and he does some mega anime yell then BAM they’re all in an arcade.

They all go looking for Macaque since they don’t believe he’s really dead and eventually they find him on this game that’s a table projecting the game 3D onto itself. It’s formatted very much like Street Fighter, with the health bar, and opponents one either side ready to fight, but it’s macaque fighting the most random characters. Like, think Smash Bros. He’s fighting Sonic and Kirby at different points.

Anyway, it’s revealed he’s fighting them because the thing he did didn’t end up killing him, so he’s hoping to die in combat but he keeps winning which makes him even more depressed 😭

MK somehow uses his phone to send these messages that project into the game so Macaque can see them, and it’s all messages about how much they love him and need him in their lives, and to not do this to himself. The messages end up getting through to him, and decides to leave the game. But when he does, he stays small and sort of turns into a squishy version of himself?

Like one of these squish toys but that version of himself.

He was still sentient as a toy tho, and kept trying to fall out of MK’s hands to splat to his death, so I guess he changed his mind abt not wanting to kill himself?? Like it is a STRUGGLE to not let him fall, he’s like a cat that turns into liquid, or just super liquid-slime and droops down, and is just barely caught but he keeps drooping so MK has to just cup this tiny squish toy macaque in his hands.

Anyway, that’s the dream. Why did I dream of this? Idk, maybe it was a sign to rewatch the series while we wait for season 5 🤷‍♀️

Hopefully Macaque isn’t suicidal next season 🫡

Rise- this is the Cleo song. Epic. Thank you Cleo :) Joe can be the monitor in this scenario I think he’d be good at it

Hell’s Game- Blaseball is a death game and this song leans into that so naturally it fits pretty well with the life series as a whole. Would make a great AMV

5am Shift- Ok bear with me here. This doesn’t really fit Pearl other than the song title (lol) and maybe you can make some parallels to cleaning lady Pearl but it gives me her vibes. Plus it’s just a whole jazzy banger and one of my favorite songs so it’s going here anyway :)

Nullified- for the end of limited life. pretty self-explanatory ‘wasted all my minutes/trying to stay alive/and look where it got me/I’m just the last one nullified’ honestly worked better before the actual finale because martyn was more manic about it than this song would imply

STRIKEOUT!- life series mumbo my horrible wet cat. this song is a little weird but it suits him I think

incoming hot take/rant about natsu and his romantic pairings and his understanding of love

gonna say something thats gonna get me in trouble

natsu has more objectively romantic moments (and i would even dare to say romantic chemistry) with lisanna than lucy.

now, with that being said, i like n*lu more than i like n*li (i do still like n*li tho. dont know why pol hate it sm. its cute!). but like. on a romantic level, natsu has veryyyyy little moments w lucy. he has way more emotional, powerful, and deep moments with lucy. but they’re not romantic.

but as its been shown especially in 100 yq, natsu doesnt really have a grasp on romantic love. he doesn’t get flustered or blush around lucy (for the most part), he doesn’t understand that lucy clearly has romantic feelings for him, and i think the most obvious piece of evidence of this is in 100 yq when that lady (please forgive me i rly have a hard time keeping up w all the villains) cast that spell that made snow dolls out of “the woman held closest in ur heart” or whatever. for gray, just juvia appeared. for natsu, literally every girl in ft appeared.

i just feel like even in the very small moments natsu and lisanna have, and as insignificant as they are in recent ft, natsu always seems a little nervous/shy. at least in old ft. now, its also very obvious that these moments of awkward natsu who may or may not have a crush on lisanna are waaaaaay less frequent now. but in the very beginning of ft when we first learn ab lisanna was literally the most romantic interaction ive seen natsu have with anyone. and i would argue this is the most romantic interaction his character has EVER had. in the whole series.

now, im not an idiot. i know nalu will be end game. as they should be!!! they have arguably the strongest bond of literally anyone in the whole show. u cannot deny their insane compatibility and how they just make sense! i also know that natsu loves lucy more than ANYONE (ok maybe other than happy. theyre prob tied). but i think natsu doesn’t differentiate this from romantic love. YET.

i think something will definitely go down where natsu has this huge revelation that he not only loves lucy but is IN love with her.

but for right now, the most romantic interest natsu has expressed with another person is lisanna. im standing by that.

there should also be something said for the fact i feel like mashima dumbed natsu down over the years???? like in the beginning he was playful, optimistic, brash, and fun loving. i think he is still all of these things but mashima has steadily made natsu less and less understanding of social queues and more socially unaware. idk if that makes sense.

^but i feel like if u asked ep 1 natsu the difference between love and romantic love, he would be able to tell u. now, i dont think he understands the difference. i do think this will change, but for rn thats how i see it.

anyways blah blah blah. to end this senseless rant, lisanna should have stayed dead. bringing her back to life was one of the DUMBEST things ft ever did. not even bc i like n*lu better than n*li. but bc the significance that lisanna had for natsu and what she meant for his character completelyyyyy went away. his childhood gf came back from the dead and he literally could not give less of a fuck about her now lmao. its so bizarre.

I don’t remember if I ever rlly elaborated on my potential Ninjago s12 but I’m listening to GRRRLS and it reminded me of it, so briefly here’s all the ideas I had for it (and are currently having for it because I am now coming up with stuff on the fly):

The focus on Jay would be forshadowed by the fact that Jay doesn’t get a resolution to what he does in s11. He seemingly feels bad about ignoring Zane’s dream and in general feels more of a disconnect to the group. This is subtle and he tries not to let it bother him. This is highlighted more at the start of the season, as they are investigating the mechanics hideout.

We would see that Jay gets transported as player 2. He arrives at the very core of prime empire, the tower, which also serves as menu screen. He’s greeted by Unagami, who offers to play games with him, an offer he takes due to being excited

I think on the ninja’s end it would mostly be the same. BUT Whilst Zane and Pixal can’t enter the game due to risk of their data getting scrambled (how that works I’ve decided is that, Prime Empire works by translating bio matter to digital but it can only do bio matter bc it knows how it works, and it doesn’t know how nindroids are made and therefore can’t translate them without risk of error), zane and pixal can set up some sort of communication system that allows them to contact the ninja. Essentially zane and pixal are video calling the ninja from their minds and over the course of the season they chip in with gaming tips (canonically zane and pixal are both gamers so)

The ninja end up meeting superstar rockin Jay, and it goes on as normal, although Okino is a little weirded out by him

In the just dance episode, Nya finds out on the dance floor that Jay is the sussus amogus imposter. Shock horror on the dance floor

It turns out that superstar rockin Jay was just an artificial construct being controlled by the real Jay who is still in the tower with Unagami. But recently Jay and Unagami had a real fight and that’s lead to Unagami taking control of superstar rockin Jay in an attempts to stop his friends’ progress

Not entirely sure how the superstar rockin Jay thing ends tho, all Ik is that I want Nya to have an “oh my god what happened to my boyfriend”/“wait a minute Jay would never say that”

There would be an episode detailing Jay’s pov, showing how he and Unagami became friends and started playing the games together after feeling similarly lonely, exploring Jay’s tendency to ignore his problems and how it’s resulting in him growing distant, before Jay realises he doesn’t want to give up on himself and he’s gonna try to reunite with his friends (probably after seeing how hard the ninja are trying to find him). Then Unagami reacts badly to the idea of being abandoned by Jay and they fight, ending with Jay falling through the walls and into the core of prime empire, in like this weird void of pure code.

I kinda also wanted to idk make more lava moments but that’s just me

I never really worked out what I wanted Libber (Jay’s mum) to do in this but she’s gonna be relevant

Like something something she’s been here, there’s an echo of her buried in the code. Maybe the game was based on her travels somehow. I kinda wanted Jay to be guided out of the code void by some sort of depiction of her

I kinda want Milton Dyer and Scott to have both somehow known Libber

Maybe libber really did abandon Jay. Maybe like Jay she also had issues that made her feel like she had to distance herself. Maybe there was a genuine reason and she was taken from him. Maybe the point of the season is that it’s hard to tell what happened in the past but that doesn’t stop you from carrying on in the future

Idk I just need there to be a more conscious parallel between jay and Unagami and themes of abandonment

There’s also some kind of theme of giving up not giving up seen with Scott, Okino and Blazey (racer 7), where they’re all encouraged to keep trying. I gotta do sometime with that idk…

Also the mechanic deserves to be cooler. Like can we make him more badass I want his villain resume to look so good that he actually qualifies as a Crystal council member

Ehh I used to regularly. I still try to respond to the comments on Stolen Moments, because it’s my Casablanca, my Godfather, my… Ferris Bueller’s Day Off lmaooo, though I’m kinda slow about it. Listen, in a perfect world, I’d respond to every comment, but at this point I’m just lucky if I get the fic posted. My readers know I love them (all five of them lol).

If I wanted to see my fave have a bad time, I’d just watch his show 😒😂 Anywho, I want to say Stolen Moments has the happiest ending, because they get to live happily (and safely) ever after, but… can that be the happiest if someone… Hmm never mind idk, I’m just gonna say Stolen Moments lol.

Yes lmaooo. Folks have lost their minds lol. Hell, sometimes it’s not even about the fic. Sometimes it’s just some idiotic college kid & their friends, pressed because I said it’s wild to ship the “he murdered her mom” fanon couple… in a post… on here… on my own blog, and so they try to come into my comment sections on ao3 being cunts unprovoked… Or it’ll be some unhinged Bucky stan, upset because I had the audacity to mention something that actually happened in canon, again, here on my own blog 😂😂 Anyway, that’s why my comment sections have restrictions on them now.

Hmm. I think I’m realistic when writing stories, or at least as realistic as the plot allows. Like, for example, you ever read a fic with a kid, and you can tell that not only has the author never talked to a kid (or even met a kid) as an adult, but they’ve also somehow forgotten everything about being a kid? Well, yeah, that’s not me lol. If there’s a kid in my fic, they’re gonna be more Huxtable than Griffin — not to use the word normal, but they’re going to be normal.

I also think I write family interactions pretty well. Plus I’m good at adding drama that’s soapy, but that could also totally happen. This is just a long winded way of saying, I can write characters that seem like someone you could meet, and that’s harder than one might think.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Smut. Definitely smut. Enjoy reading it, feel super weird writing it. (It’s probably my inner cradle Catholic jumping out lol.)

Okay here’s my thoughts on the leaks.

P5T looks weird and I’m intrigued but I need more info. Mostly I’m glad for the confirmed English dubs, meaning Western release is likely going to be day to day with Japan release. Very cool.

Anyway so P3R-

A lot of people seem disappointed, and I don’t get it. I feel like Atlus fans are never satisfied. We’ve been demanding a full P3 remake for years, and Atlus delivered! It’s on P5’s engine and everything, what more do you people want? I’ve seen people call it “ugly” which I don’t get at all. It doesn’t look incredibly polished, but it’s leagues better than the original persona 3. I’m not making excuses for Atlus, but I’m not going to sit here and whine about a freaking full from the ground up Persona 3 remake. That’s heckin awesome.

The reaction feels very similar to like, everyone’s reaction to every announcement Atlus makes. It’s ridiculous. At least wait until the game comes out before you start complaining.

Secondly, some speculation: I have heavy doubts about FeMC being in the game. That is disappointing, but not unsurprising. Technically it’s still possible she’ll be there, but I don’t think so. If she was in the game, they definitely would’ve showed her in this trailer, and if they had plans to develop her she would’ve already been ready by now. So I don’t think we’re gonna get FeMC. I do think it’s likely we’ll get paid DLC later that let’s us play as FeMC, and I do think that if that were to happy everyone would complain again because “FeMC was available in the base game” despite that not being true. But I digress. We’re not getting FeMC, at least not upon release.

I do hope Atlus doesn’t release a second version of P3R. I’m not counting it out as a possibility, but I think it would be a waste of time, and it definitely wouldn’t be received well.

As far as the Answer, there’s still a chance that will be in the game. It’s post game content so maybe they don’t want to show it yet. I’m not counting it out totally, but I’m not holding my hopes up.

I think the most likely thing Atlus is gonna do is a completely new side story, with one or two new characters, right in the base game. I doubt they’ll just rerelease vanilla P3. Maybe I have too much faith in them, idk. If it’s not in the base game, they’ll definitely release paid DLC with new content, just like they did for Soul Hackers 2. And the new characters are gonna be extremely controversial and half the fanbase is gonna love them and half are gonna call them garbage.

Also, just as a side note, I am curious why no voice acting was shown in this trailer. I don’t doubt we’re getting an English dub, Atlus would be incredibly stupid to not give us one, but I am curious about it. Mostly because I’m wondering if they’re gonna recast Junpei or not. They didn’t for the rerelease, but that wasn’t a full remake. Odds are higher they’re gonna recast him, and if they don’t that’s gonna be another source of controversy for this remake.

My one hope? That they revamped the social links. It’s already clear they updated the gameplay to stay current, but we didn’t get much idea how the social links are gonna go. I really hope they introduce social links with the male party members, and allow you to friend zone the girls. If they just kept the vanilla social links, it’s going to be worse off for it. And if FeMC is never in the game, at least we’ll get new social links for MaMC with Akihiko, Junpei, Shinjiro, Ken, and Ryoji for the first time ever.

Sirens and Gorgons are born that way, with some minor changes as growth happens. And I’m taking from N/Canon that psychic powers don’t show up until just about mid-puberty. Wednesday’s psychic powers showed up after the Fester-like electricity did to a noticeable degree…that’s all I’ll say about that for now, since it’ll probably be covered in Chapter 7. And BTW, male sirens and gorgons are rarer than females; Kent and Ajax are the outliers of their kind. Telekinesis is male-dominated outside of vampires (where it’s gender neutral), but there are Addamses who have that. They have a wide array of powers in the family.

We saw how a “siren song” actually works (twice, once with Tyler and once with Coach Vlad). In order to manipulate someone, they have to state what they want them to do. With this aspect of a  siren song, it’s more like a deep sea mating song. They’re not telling anyone to do anything, it’s not produced out of manipulation; it’s produced out of pleasure.

That said, have you ever heard a female cat's mating call? It’s not purring. A whale's call sounds like this. But the wails, as pleasant as they are (and they are pleasant, not as harsh as whale sounds) just happened to remind Xavier of cats/Morella.

This is part of N/Canon that pisses me off; Noble used to be Sheriff. Meaning he was a cop, investigating crimes. So AB/C Noble heavily suspects that it really isn’t a bear, given the wounds. He tells Weems and the public that they’re bear attacks because he’s working to preserve their symbiotic relationship. Nevermore gets left alone from any ordinances/bigots like David Breeding because Nevermore contributes to his campaign and gives shitloads of cash to the city in taxes and donations.

Wednesday lives by her own rules in all canon, LOL And a man can’t control his wet dreams. Also, the power of the mind vs. body is a strange thing. I’ve seen some men last through multiple orgasms. I’ve seen some who are one weak little stream and that’s it. So there is always the average, which is a big pond to find average fish in, but then you have the special ones, like Donovan and shape shifters.

Francie’s DNA may have been wiped from CODIS, but testing might still have record of it, thus Donovan wasn’t going to take the risk of the official channels finding the match. He’s a little paranoid since he’s pretty sure he still has copies of files that were otherwise ‘lost’.

That she has a ‘way’ with animals is canon.  She has hibernated with bears and swam with sharks. Those weren’t one of her usual ‘Wednesday being edgy’ lies, since Wednesday and Gomez confirm the shark thing. Bear hibernation was sort of confirmed with Eugene.

“Bucket list” N/C comment was one of her lies/shock value/edgy comments, see above about her lies/sarcasm, to mess with people. AB/C Wednesday is pretty accurate to that except for how she behaves around Donovan, which is the softer part. And yet she will still say her ‘Wednesday lies’ around him, too. It’s just how she is. I feel like she does this to keep people at a distance so they never know the real truth around who she is…kind of a defense mechanism.

I’ve watched this scene more times than I can count just for the surprised and shocked gasp of hers that happens when Noble is hit, and to watch her hurriedly get the fk out of his SUV (hurried so much that she didn't bother to close the hatch) and run towards them.  She was shocked by it/took no pleasure in it. 

Regarding Eugene, I believe he survived because he had that thick jacket on. Rowan had his vest but it wasn’t zipped up, same goes for the camper in the beginning (I think). Eugene had layers that could’ve helped save him from deadlier wounds (Tylermonster didn’t have too much time to hack and slash at him like he did with Fabian, since Tylermonster could hear that Wednesday was on the way via them calling out to each other).

Also speaking of Eugene: Laurel fucking Gates could detach Noble from his ventilator, but not Eugene from his?  COME ON!!!

For all we know, it leads to the outside (probably N/Canon, but again...the house’s interior doesn’t match the exterior, as there’s another door on almost the same corner as that kitchen/dining/living room door below):

I wrote this scene before I discovered that in the original script, Donovan was supposed to smack him. I see why they cut it out, violence is never a solution and that saved Donovan from being a terrible guy in N/Canon, but at this point in the AB story, Donovan is overwhelmed. Think of how much higher this makes his stress level (to think that his own son could potentially find out or figure out that he’s been fucking ((and is totally in love with)) a younger girl). He’s unraveling, like Wednesday.  Except Wednesday doesn’t have to look at a killer ((that he loves)) every night.

I think they were trying to keep on the fact that Wednesday is still old fashioned. Hence her batteries for her flashlight instead of getting one that you can recharge, etc.  Though she has a really weird flashlight that flashes red. I dunno why they did that (the scene where they come upon the Cadillac at the mansion).  ETA 9/10/23: This was the one mistake I made so far in interpreting the series, the red flash was not her flashlight, it was the above lamp she turned on. Which still doesn't make sense, why red? Weird. Anyway, I missed that at first, but I know it now. (Another reason why I need to keep watching 7 and 8 while I write my 7 and 8. The sequencing and details are a bigger mess.)

Rowan’s body wasn’t (which to him is still an unsolved mystery at this point), the cave got destroyed before they could get to it (THIS IS STUPID CANON TOO! The minute she gave him the claw she should have also told him where she fkn got it…there was more than enough time to get over to the damn cave to search it for prints/other evidence). AB/C Donovan also suspects that this evidence could’ve helped figure out who unlocked Tyler, so having a promise of it only to have it not pan out is frustrating to him, so he’s taking it out on her.

You’re probably the only one reading this thinking that smoking weed is on par with cutting “self-harm”. They are not the same. For her, weed helps her mental health and electrical discharges (and it doesn’t do much harm to her anyway… 🙂). She hasn’t been smoking as much lately, so you’ll notice more zaps here and there. My father is an 81-year-old microbiologist & botanist (that I consult about a lot of things for parts of my writing)...he grows the weed I smoke for my own problems. I prefer to eat it and prefer to encourage eating over smoking, though.

psst, hey, you. what sort of hobbies do you think casey would have in the 2020s now that his life isn't the apocalypse? traveling is definitely one of them, he deserves that, but other than that? i'm thinking maybe fashion or gardening, but i wanna know other people's ideas too :-)

GARDENING SOUNDS SOOO CUTE, SO DOES FASHION TOO ACTUALLY. I think he would pick up a ton of hobbies, he’s practically in this whole new world! I’d imagine he would want to try it all.

Especially taking interest in the boys’ hobbies, like cooking, painting, or even gaming with Mikey. If Casey got into any artistic medium from Mikey’s influence I could totally see him sticking with graffiti!!! Not sure why. I just think graffiti is cool and Casey wanting to make these big encouraging murals sounds cute hehe. Back to the cooking bit too, Casey would want to explore all the flavors and experience them ALL for himself. Boy has some catching up to do! He wants to try something new every day, and he does. But he still finds pizza to be his favorite, for sentimentality, and because of how easily you can customize the toppings.

Leo would TOTALLY try to get him Jupiter Jim comic pilled, have you seen his room? Posters n knick knacks EVERYWHERE! Casey probably heard a bit about JJ from his sensei, but just snippets of occasional references he would make. Not a lot of time to gush over comic book heroes when the world is literally being taken over by an alien life force. Would Casey like JJ? I think after being introduced to it by Leo, he would quite enjoy it!! Not to the extent Leo does, of course, but he does appreciate the action!

With Raph this one is a little harder, stick with me. Listen. I really wanna imagine Raph is the one to get Casey comfortable and settled in this new timeline, obviously everyone wants to show him around New York and show him all the sights! Their favorite pizza spots!! Go get a genuine New York Pretzel! But Raph is the one to take it slow with Casey, show him the little comforts of the current timeline. Comfy bed, fluffy pillows, cozy blanket, cuddling with teddy bears and other plushies. Casey LOVES IT! After how ever many years of sleeping in damp, dark caves, he looks forward to a safe, comfortable place to sleep and call home. That, AND they can be work out buddies when they aren’t comfy cozy! Raph loves a new sparring partner (even if he does have to go slightly easy on em ehehe, or would he? Idk Casey stopped an entire missile mid-flight and flung it back at that Kraang helicopter. Raph might be underestimating this boy a little bit.)

And now we’ve got Donnie, oh Donnie you are a treat. This one is tough. I wouldn’t say it’s a HOBBY, but Casey sure does like to watch the Master Donatello work on inventions in his prime. Casey will sit there silently and respectfully, watching in awe as Donnie rambles on and on about the inner workings of his tech while working on repairs or anything. And who is Donatello to usher Casey away? He craves the praise! As long as Casey isn’t disturbing his work, I’m sure he would be fine with a few visits to Uncle Donnie’s liar

And I’m gonna throw this last one in just for fun, if the turtles are taking Casey in you already KNOW they’re going to be sitting him down for a mega Lou Jitsu marathon. Everybody is recovering from the events of the movie and has nothing else to do, it’s the perfect time to get cuddled up on the couch with a big ol bowl of popcorn! I’m so bad at picking favorites so please excuse the fact that I have like two answers per question.. since this is a Thai bl list I’m not listing gls or non Thai series or else I’d probably list like 3+ per question fnskfjfj

Favorite bl: bad buddy or not me (PLEASE DONT MAKE ME CHOOSE). They’re both very different but very important in their own ways. The bad buddy experience is incomparable and the beauty of not me and its basis in reality is historical

Favorite pairing: following suit, patpran & seanwhite. Both series weren’t just plot driven, they were character driven as well (possibly more so). Each are fantastic, though wildly different, romances.

Most underrated actor: my boy chimon! I think generally people know he can act but I wouldn’t be surprised if he gained more recognition after dangerous romance aired. (Also bonus, stealing Mel’s answer cuz sing always needs more attention he can do any and everything!! I’ll eat up any role he plays. I always do)

Favorite character: really hard to choose. maybe Sean (from not me again). I’m ngl I blocked someone once bc they talked a bit of shit abt him. He’s never done anything wrong in his life <3

Favorite side character: yok from not me. I’m gonna keep putting not me here srry but NO ONE will ever be as slutty as yok was. Not even First in only friends. He encapsulated Slut energy in such an immaculate way. (OR heartliming. They stole the show in moonlight chicken for me!)

Favorite scene: the pride flag scene from not me. It’s one of the most impactful scenes I’ve seen in any ql and I love the reason why it exists in the first place!

Favorite line: the build up to patpran’s rooftop kiss. Got me holding my breath screaming crying heart racing you know it. We’ve all been through it. I have it copied into my notes in case I ever need it (or just to. Cry idk)

Most anticipated bl and why: hmmm probably cooking crush literally just cuz of offgun in a romcom bl lmao I luv them. The pics they’ve uploaded lately have had a different vibe from the mock trailer and I’m liking it! Maybe cherry magic too as I’m curious to see how it’ll be adapted to Thailand as a remake

Healthiest relationship in a bl: patpran. Do I even need to say more? They might’ve had a little drama before they got together but you HAVE to have a healthy mf relationship to maintain it while “lying” saying you’ve broken up to your parents & some of ur friends

Most toxic relationship in a bl: vegaspete. See they’re lowkey more toxic in my head than they are on screen. Like yes vegas electrocuted Pete’s balls but he could’ve done worse and I think he should’ve! The toxic aspect was what made it fun (also who would I be if they didn’t make it on a fav Thai bl list at least Once)

Guilty pleasure series: idk what I’d consider a guilty pleasure BUT I thought the first episode of tharntype (which I actually only watched recently lmao) was kinda camp. Like it literally OPENS with Type saying he loves college except for one problem… GAY PEOPLE EXIST 😡🤬 that’s comedy. I burst out laughing. Can’t say I love the show as a whole tho

Most underrated series (mel I love that u added this bc I kno exactly what to say): SECRET CRUSH ON YOU. I NEED TO PROMOTE IT. I think people who dropped it did so bc it was so over the top but that’s exactly why you should keep going??? It’s SO saturated and the emotions are ALWAYS at 100 it’s hilarious but in the moments it gets emotional (episode 13…) it GOES ALL IN!!! The constant secondhand embarrassment made me literally start sweating but in a good way?? Ppl who reduce it to just cringe have missed all the beauty it offers. I regret not watching it live and I feel like I don’t see enough people talking about it… also I am literally toh <3

Spelljammer 5e Reaction

Not going to lie, having gotten the Spelljammer set, I was expecting a little bit … more? Particularly on the Astral Sea and Wildspace as a setting. I mean more of … who all is out here, where do they live, what kind of things do you find floating out here. Maybe a glimpse of Tu’narath? IDK, it just felt a little bit basic and lacking? Some basic rules for air and speed and gravity, and then a lot of ships. And they’re cool ships! I just … would have liked more setting first?

And I know there’s a design philosophy of less-is-more here, so that people can put whatever they want out there without the game contradicting them, but … some starting seeds would be good?

The adventure gives a bit more in that regard, giving you sample wildspace systems and some things en route (the shipwrecks are cool). But that’s a thing in itself, that the adventure is worth more for the setting than the actual setting guide? The Astral Adventurer’s Guide gives you 6 pages, out of 64, actually describing the setting of Wildspace and the Astral Sea (really 2 pages, the other 4 are air and gravity rules), and the rest of the book is ships and player races, and a bit about the Rock of Bral (which is cool, not gonna lie, but it’s also only another 6 pages).

Like. I have my character! I have my ship! Now where am I going in it? What is out here???

There’s one map-slash-diagram, showing the Astral Sea with wildspace systems, astral dominions and dead gods floating in it, and that’s pretty much it?

I mean, give me a sample dominion! Give me a legend of a god corpse and what it contains! Show me Tu’narath, the githyanki city built onto the corpse of a dead six-armed deity. Show me a salvager’s moon or a vampirate trade city! Put some legends of famous spelljammer wrecks with unimaginable treasures floating lost out there, and the obsessed captains seeking them like Ahab tracking the whale. Flavour. Put some damned flavour in!

Honestly, this is one of the most anemic setting guides I’ve ever read. Put some meat on it, for crying out loud! There’s hints, the bestiary and the adventure give a little bit, but …

6 pages of setting in 64. 12, if you’re in the Forgotten Realms and you’re gonna be able use the Rock of Bral. That’s it. That’s all you get. In a setting guide.

The art is gorgeous, but please. Put some actual setting in your goddamned setting guide?

I still love the idea of Spelljammer, don’t worry, space fantasy will always be my jam, but wow, there was an awful lot of not a lot in these books? Like, Ravenloft had so much, all those domains, and some meat on all of them. Spelljammer got absolutely nothing by comparison. I’m disappointed? You’re in magic outer space, where the corpses of dead gods and the palaces of living ones drift serenely, where galleons full of a vampiric pirates sail between worlds, and creatures from alien realms of existence extrude and meet in a silver melting pot of realities. Give me a hollow moon full of ithilids! Give me a trail of astral breadcrumbs left by a trickster deity to lure adventurous spelljammers to their dominion to regale them with stories! Give me a thriving trade in alien artefacts excavated from the bodies of dead deities! I mean, give me something? Anything.

I’m half tempted to just transpose half of Sunless Skies onto Spelljammer and call it a day.

Sorry. It’s just … a bit of a disappointing set? There’s not a lot there.
