YOU HAVE A PLETHORA of memories with your significant other, your boyfriend heeseung, that have left a lasting impression on you. whether they were moments of immense joy — such as the day you both went on a romantic picnic and watched the sunset together, the time he surprised you with a thoughtful gift on your birthday, and the day you both went on a road trip and explored new places together — or times of difficulty, like the occasional disagreements and fights that every couple goes through — you have held onto them all with great value.

however, the one memory that stands out above the rest is the day you both visited an amusement park. the excitement, thrill, and happiness of that day have been etched into your mind and heart forever.

the sun's rays gently kissed your face as you stepped out of the car, the distant hum of laughter and cheerful music filling the air. the moment was here — the day you and heeseung had been eagerly anticipating: a visit to the amusement park. as you approached the entrance, the vibrant colors of the rides, the tantalizing smell of popcorn and cotton candy, and the distant screams of thrill-seekers painted a picture of joy and excitement.

"are you excited?" heeseung asked, his eyes twinkling with anticipation as he intertwined his fingers with yours.

you nodded, grinning from ear to ear. "absolutely! it's been so long since we've been to an amusement park together."

the sunlight reflected off the colorful carousel horses, making them shimmer like jewels as you passed by. children's laughter echoed through the air, mingling with the joyful melodies played by the park's organ grinder. you and heeseung made your way through the entrance gate, the excitement palpable between you.

a smile danced across your lips as you remembered the previous trip, filled with laughter, shared ice creams, and playful competitions. "i have no doubt about that," you replied, your heart swelling with anticipation.

your first stop was the ferris wheel, its towering structure casting a long shadow across the park. the line was short, and soon enough, you found yourselves in a cozy, swaying gondola, slowly ascending towards the sky.

as you reached the top, heeseung wrapped his arm around you, pulling you close to him. "look at that view," he whispered, his voice filled with awe.

you looked out, the world below transformed into a miniature wonderland. the sun cast a golden hue over the park, making the rides sparkle and the water glisten. "it's breathtaking," you murmured, leaning into heeseung's embrace.

"not as breathtaking as you thought," heeseung said with a playful smirk, his eyes lingering on your face.

you blushed, feeling a warmth spread across your cheeks. his words, though light-hearted, made your heart skip a beat. you looked into his eyes, seeing the genuine affection and admiration reflected in them.

"cheesy lines now?" you teased, trying to hide your growing smile.

heeseung chuckled, tightening his embrace around you. "well, it's true. the view is beautiful, but it pales in comparison to the sight of you enjoying it."

his words melted your heart, and you couldn't help but lean closer, resting your head against his shoulder. the gentle swaying of the ferris wheel, combined with heeseung's comforting presence, created a moment of pure serenity and bliss.

as the gondola continued its descent, you both continued to admire the view, pointing out different landmarks and reminiscing about past visits to the park.

when the ride finally came to a stop, heeseung helped you out of the gondola, his hand lingering on yours as you both made your way to the next attraction. the warmth of his touch, coupled with the shared experience of the ferris wheel ride, deepened the connection between you, making the day even more special and memorable.

"we should try the roller coaster next," heeseung suggested, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

a gleaming steel structure dominated the skyline, its towering loops and spirals casting dramatic shadows on the ground below. the roller coaster's track twisted and turned, promising an exhilarating experience for those brave enough to ride it.

heeseung noticed your hesitation, the slight furrowing of your brow and the way you unconsciously bit your lower lip. "unless you're not comfortable with it?" he asked gently, his concern evident.

you looked up at the imposing roller coaster, feeling a knot of apprehension tighten in your stomach. "i'm not a fan of rides that go upside down," you admitted, your voice tinged with uncertainty.

heeseung's expression softened, and he gave your hand a reassuring squeeze. "that's okay. we can find another ride to enjoy together."

but seeing the disappointment flicker in heeseung's eyes, you quickly added, "but maybe you could ride it? i'll cheer you on from below."

heeseung shook his head, a determined glint in his eyes. "how about we compromise? there's a milder roller coaster nearby. it has no loops or inversions, just some twists and turns. would you be willing to give that a try?"

you hesitated for a moment, weighing your fear against the desire not to disappoint heeseung. finally, with a hesitant nod, you agreed. "alright, let's do it. but if i scream, you're not allowed to laugh."

heeseung grinned, his eyes brightening. "deal."

as you both joined the queue for the roller coaster, heeseung stayed close, offering words of encouragement and support. the line moved quickly, and soon you found yourselves strapped into the coaster's seats, the safety harness secure around you.

the initial climb was slow and steady, the rhythmic clanking of the chain pulling the coaster upwards adding to the suspense. you gripped the handlebars tightly, taking deep breaths to calm your racing heart.

as the coaster reached the summit and began its descent, you closed your eyes for a brief moment, bracing yourself for the twists and turns ahead. the wind whipped through your hair, and the world became a blur of colors and sensations.

despite your initial apprehension, you found yourself starting to enjoy the ride. the adrenaline rush, combined with heeseung's excited laughter beside you, made the experience thrilling and memorable.

by the time the roller coaster came to a stop, you were both laughing and breathless, the shared adventure bringing you closer together. heeseung looked at you with pride and admiration, his eyes shining with warmth.

rows of colorful plushies were displayed, each one more enticing than the last. among them, a cute deer plushie caught your eye, its big, expressive eyes reminding you of heeseung's own captivating gaze.

you paused, captivated by the resemblance and the fond memories it evoked. the soft fur, the gentle eyes, and the playful tilt of its head — it was as if the plushie had captured a part of heeseung's essence.

noticing your gaze fixed on the deer plushie, heeseung followed your line of sight and chuckled softly. "that deer does look quite adorable, doesn't it?" he remarked, a playful glint in his eyes.

you nodded, smiling warmly. "it reminds me of you," you confessed, feeling a bit shy.

heeseung's cheeks tinted a faint pink, and he looked at you with a mixture of surprise and delight. "really? well, if you want it, let's try to win it."

with a determined nod, you stepped up to the game stall, ready to test your skills. heeseung stood beside you, offering encouragement and advice.

"remember to aim slightly to the left," heeseung advised, pointing towards the stack of cans. "and use a gentle throw, focusing on accuracy rather than power."

taking a deep breath, you picked up a softball, the weight and texture unfamiliar in your hand. you tried to steady your nerves, focusing on the stack of cans before you. with a swift motion, you released the ball, but it veered off course, missing the target completely.

you sighed, feeling a twinge of disappointment. "i don't think i can do this," you murmured, the frustration evident in your voice.

heeseung looked at you, his eyes filled with determination. "don't worry, let me try," he said, taking the softball from your hand.

you watched as heeseung stepped up to the stall, his posture confident and relaxed. he took a moment to assess the setup, adjusting his stance slightly. and then, with a swift and graceful motion, he released the ball, its trajectory smooth and steady as it soared through the air towards the stack of cans. the impact was swift and precise, the ball striking the cans with just the right amount of force to send them tumbling over in a satisfying clatter.

"you did it!" you exclaimed, clapping your hands in delight.

the game attendant handed heeseung the deer plushie with a congratulatory smile.

heeseung turned towards you, the plushie held out triumphantly in his hand. "for you," he said, his eyes shining with pride and affection.

It was one of those rare days you spent, waiting in the living room while your boyfriend was occupied with his new inventions.

You know it was his passion for putting on great shows and you love them of course but sometimes... you just feel very lonely.

You slapped both of your cheeks unconsciously, leaving behind two reddish cheeks... just what the heck were you thinking?

"Haa... maybe I'm more tired than I thought..." scratching your head, displeased as you stand up from the sofa before picking up one of the many cushions.

You stared…before turning to the black screen featuring a channel promoting some valentine's day special ads "Hmm...I guess a nap won't hurt, better than being miserable about this whole thing...haa"

Grabbing the remote on the table before turning the TV off and silence came into the room, you immediately went to make your temporary bed on the sofa.

It's just for a short nap while you wait so it won't hurt anyone if you just rearrange some things... right?

Just as you finish setting up your makeshift bed, the loud click of a door opening and the shuffling footsteps get louder as if it's coming towards you...

In a panic, you tried to make it look like you were already asleep while making yourself as comfortable as possible.

Rui smiles proudly when he saw your expression went from gawking at him like a goldfish to a blossoming pink as you stumble over your words from the shock.

Shinonome Akito is the kind of person who isn't a big fan of being very open with his emotions, not like he hates those who are more vulnerable with their emotions... it's more like he just doesn't understand it.

When he met you for the first time, he started to understand how such emotions can make one becomes so vulnerable.

... though he does it in a subtle way because it's embarrassing for him.

"Where is it...?" You let out a groan, annoyed as you put the book back on the shelves before sitting down on the bed.

You were waiting for your boyfriend who have plans with his band so his mom let you wait in his room and now here you were...stuck.

"Haa... maybe he hides it somewhere else this time" You sighed, slightly disappointed.

Now you must be wondering...why exactly are you were so keen on finding this book of his?

Well time to rewind for a little bit...

-ˋˏ✄┈┈┈┈a few days ago...

It was around the time when the school bell rings, signaling the students that it was the end of the day.

You were practically just giggling to yourself while humming a song as you started to pack your stuffs into your school bag.

"(name)-san, you seem really happy about something...did something good happened today?" Your seatmate asked, putting the bag over their shoulder.

"Mmm! It's almost our 1st year anniversary, ahh~ I'm so excited that I don't know what to do!?" You squeaked, hands holding your blushing cheeks.

"Woah, hold it right there. Don't go running around while you're daydreaming about your boyfriend, what am I going to say if you knocked yourself out?"

"Whaaa?? How could you be so mean to me, you have no faith on me at all! I can't be that dumb-"

"You bumped into the bathroom wall after having your first kiss with him" Your friend looked at you with an unamused expression.

"I-....okay fair point" You sighed, defeated.

They laughed, making their way out of the classroom "Well, don't be late~"

"Ah!" You gasped, hurriedly packing your bag and make a run for it.

Akito was already waiting for you, leaning against the shoe lockers as other students walked passed him. He looks bored out of his mind.

Gosh...he looks so dreamy...Ah, wait snap out of it (name)!!

At that moment...

Olive green eyes met your (colour) ones.

"What took you so long?" Akito asked, walking up to where you were and you could have swore he was smiling...

But something else caught your attention before you could comment on it; an orange coloured journal drop down from his halfway opened bag.

You bent down to grab it, the book have its pages open and you can see his handwriting on them.

"Hmm? Aki, what is this-" Before you could finish your sentence, the journal was immediately taken away from your hands to which you blinked and turn to look at him.

"Don't look at it" He let out a grunt, looking flustered.

"A-Aki??" You called out, confused by his expression.

"Let's go home" Akito grabbed your hand before practically dragging you out.

"H-Hold up, it's no fair that you have longer legs!!!" You whined and you could see his smug face from the corner of your eyes.

You couldn't help but think back to what you just saw in that book...

After that day, he keeps hiding that book away in different places every time you come over to his house.

And today was no luck as usual until now...

"Is that...?"

a few cm away from your right foot was a familiar book with its bright orange color peeking out of its hiding spot.

You found it, you actually found it...

You flipped through the pages and many of those were filled with Akito's handwriting and a complete different handwriting was circle around some sentence with corrections.

By that, you mean very very dramatic corrections...

"...is this Tsukasa-san's handwriting?? Huh..." You were confused but that didn't stop you from reading some of them because you can't help but being more curious on finding out what he was hiding in this journal now...

Tsukasa-san said writing a love letter might be a good idea...why do people like this kind of stuffs? This is so embarrassing...

How do I love you...?

Let me count...

There are many reasons what make (name) as a person.

What I love about you is simple.

You're patient and understanding that it's hard for me to be honest, I like that you're always trying your best in everything you do and sometimes, I want to poke fun at your weird facial expressions when you're concentrating. I like that you are always supportive of our dreams to surpass a legend and you always think of others even when we were on a date... though I do find that kind annoying at first.

The door slammed open.

"Hey, (name) I'm back-" Akito's eyes widen when he saw you sitting on his bed with his journal wide open.

"You weren't supposed to read those!" He grunts, the tips of his ears turn red when he realized you saw what he wrote to which he couldn't help but cringe.

"...Aki"

"What?"

"I love you too!!!"

"Huh-"

He was cut off by you pounced on him, making the two of you fall down onto the wooden floorboards.

... let's just say he wasn't happy with you teasing him about it afterwards.
