When I think I truly started to like them (or dislike them, if you've sent me a character I don't like)

It's been a long time since I watched PLL and to be honest I've forgotten a lot about that show lol. But I know I liked Spencer from the very beginning. I mean, anyone who knows me knows I'd love such a go-getter.

My journey with Elena is a lot more complicated LMAO. I remember disliking her because of her attitude regarding Caroline in 1x05. But I was also very impressed by some of her stunts. And now I call her my schrödinger fave for a reason xD

My favorite ship of them

Caroline-Elena for Elena (see previous post) and, hmm. All the Liars for Spencer, but I did have a soft spot for Spencer-Hanna.

My least favorite ship of them

OBVIOUSLY Damon for Elena lol.

I didn't like any single love interest for Spencer, but then, I didn't like any single man in PLL xD. Although, given how it was to create drama between the girls, I have a stronger antipathy for Spencer/Caleb, I guess? It's not like I remember much of their actual dynamic, but it did annoy me that the show went there.

What’s the first thing you think about when thinking about the character?

Spencer's "hope breeds eternal misery" quote. And Elena's downfall.

Sexuality hc!

As a lesbian I can't help but think you have to be very heterosexual to fuck some of the guys these two have fucked, and VERY VERY heterosexual to marry Damon tbh. I want to go with sapphic headcanons for both because I'm gay and they're hot (and I have a little one for Elena lol) but. I'm gonna be honest with you fam. I don't know if I can xDD

I could see Spencer as bi, ig. Elena could get into situationships but that girl does not like woman, in any sense of the word LOL.

Your favorite friendship they have

Caroline-Elena, for a poor definition of friendship LOL. And again, the Liars for Spencer, with Spencer-Hanna as a particular favourite.

Best storyline they had

I found Spencer's struggles with addiction and her stay in Radley interesting, if not exactly devoid of issues. The actress really brought in her A-game.

As for Elena, season 4 has a special place in my heart. Objectively, she's having a terrible time! But it's the season that really gets deep with her, without the rose-tinted goggles of the previous ones.

Idky but winters are always a reminder to me that things are still possible. Especially love. I am not a romantic, well, atleast I try not to be, because the hope breeds eternal misery (s/o to Spencer Hastings). But i genuinely can't shake this feeling of wanting to be in love in the winters or autumns of my life. Maybe it's that we crave warmth in these seasons, so our mind automatically associates it with a season of love.

Being a nostalgic doesn't help the case either. Some of my fondest memories, of feelings of crushes, love, infatuation and whatever else, have a strong connection with the season of the sweaters.

But alas, can't help it if the memories and my imagination are the only sustenance in yet another cold dark night. :/

S1 E1:

Can we talk about Spencer when the girls woke up and both she and Ali were missing?! I know it could’ve just been shock or she thought it wasn’t that serious, but the way she says, “she’s gone. I think I heard her scream” is just so cold. Like should you not be even slightly freaking out a little?? I definitely considered her a suspect at first bc it was a little sus

Holly Marie Combs my beloved!! I swear I love all the moms in this show (Pam took me awhile tho)

Forgot that Aria’s brother (Mike?) played lacrosse. It’s funny considering Cody Christian was in Teen Wolf and they played lacrosse too. Is it really that popular in schools? (Did you know pll also stands for Premium Lacrosse League)

Byron (derogatory) Completely forgot about him cheating tbh. I just don’t like him or his vibes

Not Ezra saying he tried writing but didn’t get to far while the poster of Ali is up on the wall and he knows all about Aria bc of Ali and his book 🤢 l was really about to defend him this one time but then I remembered. It’s so predatory and 🤮

Honestly the original Ian actor was so much more attractive than the one who replaced him

I know what I just said about fat shaming Hannah but having her causally pick the croutons out of her salad while talking with her mom is genius. It shows she’s still struggling with an eating disorder but doesn’t focus in on it. It’s subtle. Her eating disorder isn’t supposed to be known to the audience and yet this provides a sense of consistency. It’s a nice touch.

Emily saying she knew Alison was back and then the coroner coming about with the body bag is just so sad. My poor baby 🥺

Ezra you and I both know you have no right reason to be at that funeral. Also you know damn well she was a friend of hers. Just stop, turn around, and leave town now.

I can’t believe Ezria used to be my OTP. It’s so hard to watch now. She is 16 sir. Not to mention your student.

Such a dramatic ending to the first ep. Absolutely ICONIC.

Honesty this was fun. I might do more. It just depends.

I actually had such a nice day to myself in the city today, makes me wonder if maybe I’m actually starting to wonder if I’m getting… better?

I barley dare think it, but honestly just six months ago a day filled with busy stuff, traveling, lots of people and the botox injections would have me knocked out, but recently I’ve just been doing quite alright with busier stuff?

I’m still obviously ill, most of my stuff is chronic, but finally getting the right meds for my adhd and having found painkillers that work without making my head mush have truly changed stuff, and I’m actually feeling some sort of hope for the first time in many, many years ~
