please it's messages like this that make all the effort i put into writing worth it 🥺 even if fanfic is a hobby, i love making the best stories i can. i probably would've lost it without some form of creative expression. i'm so glad that you enjoyed the hxh and honkai stories, even if you're unfamiliar with the world!!! i feel that nexus in particular might not require being super familiar with honkai star rail, since it's set on a planet that doesn't appear in canon. that changed how i wrote the setup, since the preexisting knowledge readers can draw from is different.

i love being able to ramble away about my influences and inspirations!! i imagine it's added ten years to the lives of the people around me to have an outlet like this 😭 stories just make an impression on me that can't stop at the last word/the starts of the credits.

I have been toying with the idea of making the moon into actual horns since we talked about it (like Maleficent?) - you mentioned opals and shell linings, and I think it would look sick if the moon-antlers/horns had that opalescence sheen to them? Maybe it could mirror the mask?

There's this gemstone called Azurite, that has this beautiful shade of deep blue, with purples, and some greens and gold speckles and spots (seriously - look it up, it's fantastic). 3. My grandparents are jewelers and they used to keep random geodes and gems around their house and azurite was one of them! I remember because they would try to teach me about rocks and gems and different gem cuts and I just sat there “no thoughts, head empty, I only want to look at pictures of agate and peridot”. their azurite was very very small and I’m not sure where it is anymore. My favorite gem has to be zircon though, love that stuff. I will for sure be reading more on azurite though!
