It’s really sad watching the evolution of the fandom’s perception of the Brazilians cuz I remember when they first joined and the Brazilian members of the fandom were happy that the streamers weren’t being criticized for their energetic and loud nature but now, that is exactly what is happening :/

Like I’ll admit I was harsh on Forever and Cellbit during the second debate because there was a disconnect in philosophy between the two sides of the debate and that frustrated me and I took bbh’s side because I understood his pov the best - but it never even occurred to me that they were “being too loud” or “taking over the debate” like????

These two are incredibly passionate about making the server a better and more fun place. Do I think they are playing into the federations hands? Yes, but so is everyone participating in the election, even the anarchists. Do I think they were being overbearing or talking over other people? No, they werent. At least not any more than everyone else?

This seems to be another evolution of the growing toxicity in the fan base. wasn’t it like last week when the fandom was tearing into the French for both being too into the lore and not into it enough depending on the member?

A little update

//I'm going to be incredibly honest right now. I need to take a short break from tumblr, I'm struggling at the moment, I'm burnt out and I need to recover properly.

I thought maybe I could just focus on Maria for a bit but I don't even know if that's going to work because I literally only have muse for threads with one person.

For the foreseeable I'm going to be on a break, and if I do reply it'll only be to select threads - probably for a specific ship.

some movies i go to wanting to be challenged and to think. some movies i just want to enjoy and revel in the camp. I’ve probably now seen Rocky Horror more than I’ve seen any other movie and I’m definitely not there for the nuance of Brad Majors discovering his sexuality (though, yes, I’ve thought about it a bit as someone who plays him in a shadow cast). the movie has gone on to mean a lot to the LGBTQ community, but is it an actual work of art? No!! 

and I feel similarly about Barbie. I went to be entertained, and I was. I will very likely watch it again. I had fun, it was enjoyable, and it had one of my absolute favorite ending lines in cinematic history. Like, truly on par with Some Like It Hot for me in terms of best ending lines (I know, I’m sacrilegious for saying it).

Danny wakes up, strapped into a rollercoaster train car with a bunch of other civilians, in a dilapidated amusement park, with an insane clown laughing through the speakers.

He can see that the track is entirely broken, and that it will send them straight to the ground.

Danny knows he won't die.

Danny knows the civilians in the train car with him will.

So he slowly freezes the wheels until the car stops, a mere four feet from the edge, allowing the icy tendrils to snake down the support struts and reinforce them. His eyes are letting out a faint blue glow, his hands frosted over, and he isn't so much focusing on keeping the ice stable as he is focusing on getting it into the gears and ensuring that the train car can't be knocked off the track.

Now the civilians are feverishly whispering words of encouragement to him, to keep it up, while the local vigilante family fights the Joker.

Why, oh why, did he think that going on vacation in Gotham was a good idea?
