Eirian Headcanons Dump

Aside from wish granting, being a starry being, Eirian has cosmic and stellar manipulation, as well as shapeshifting, healing, teleportation, telekinesis, telepathy and empathy. He can also transform himself into a stellar energy. And although a different entity from humans, he doesn't use his powers that much unless necessary or whenever a dangerous situation happens.

It was rarely you see Eirian getting mad, but he would glow orange when this happens. I think what ticks off Eirian are selfish and greedy people, as well as war and injustice. He can't stand seeing them, since they're likely the ones who take advantage of making wishes.

Eirian wouldn't hesitate to step up if this happens. Sure he may be an introvert and reserved guy, but when a situation calls it, he would take the first step and call someone out when someone makes a mistake with brutal honesty. He's smart enough to know how the Earth works, and of course, for many years he lived through and noticed everything.

Eirian doesn't like being called 'Alien', as he doesn't reside on any planets and doesn't have a permanent home in outer space. He doesn't even own a spaceship or some kind of a transportation. His star form enables him to travel across universes and planets.

Since Eirian doesn't have a permanent home on Earth, he frequently receives accomodations from strangers so he doesn't need to worry where he would stay. He was also offered by his previous human clients for accomodations. A cute and interesting fact that if someone helps Eirian, that someone will get a wish granted by him.

Eirian likes to receive gifts. However, the only thing that he won't accept is money. He just finds it useless since he goes back and forth frequently on Earth and is always gone and up on the stars. Eirian also doesn't buy food and drinks that much because he doesn't get hungry or sleepy. He's mostly up day and night, but that doesn't mean he declines the food that's being offered to him when that happens. So whenever he says he's hungry, he's actually not and he simply just wants to try eating something new.

How aware do you think the kids are of their father, uncles and aunt’s childhood? I can see both it being an unspoken thing, but then a drunk Rhys or Arthur occasionally letting something slip. And would they ever talk about their mother?

I think stories from what Arthur considers his halycon childhood between the 1st and 4th century C.E have slipped through. Even with the Roman invasion and the displacements it caused and Boudicca's revolt that literally scorched themselves into a layer of ash still visible today in English archaeology, he remembers being relatively protected and high status both in the Roman world and in the British. Britain under the Roman empire wasn't the most important place in the empire but there were a lot of natural resources the British exploited, and conflict along the borders of northern England and southern Scotland made and unmade several emperors, with at least one being crowned in England iirc. Eirian was forced to negotiate with Lucius (a tentative name for Rome) about Rhys and Arthur but she did keep all four of them close. So Arthur remembers her and references her most when doing human activities done even in a modified sense, since the dawn of time. Things like spinning weaving and ship building he learned at her hand even if his memories of that are kind of bundled into Brighid too. The first apple crop after the Romans introduced them to England, the emptying of the beehives for winter storage, being taught to draw his bow against his cheek and shoot straight. Being scolded for running off without his cloak because he was a high energy ambitious little shit who never thought things through. Those things and the mentions or her make it into his children's lives.

They're less aware of who Eirian was as a person because Arthur especially looks at his earliest years under her guiding hand with rose coloured glasses so thick he's looking at anything pre 500s like this. But they are aware of her existence.

He leaves out the headhunting or maybe not really human sacrifice (the mine level amount of salt I have with the popular interpretation of Lindow man is kind of insane.) He leaves out executions and exile, torture and terror. Eirian loved her children in the way Boudicca did. The kind of love that leaves scorch marks in the earth for millennia. Her death was 1000 years before any of Alfred's generation came into being but considering that craters leave marks millions of years later, she's a presence.

It is a lot of So much of what we consider "Celtic" today is a result of the Celtic revival of the 19th century. Most profoundly in Ireland, but also to a fairly wide extent in Scotland, Wales and surprisingly for me who studied the lionization of the Anglo-Saxons by the British empire, England as well. So Eirian was a shadowy but present figure. The diaspora in the U.S. Canada, Australia and NZ often being referred too as Anglo-celtic gives me brain rot. This perception of her as viewed by children, particularly Arthur, something still concrete and visible. A lot of who Eirian was surrounded this lot as they're growing up. Just in Arthur's Manor house I think there are post holes from roundhouses, reused Romano-British masonry in the first floor, Viking age bodies in the back garden. At least one statue of her that either survived when the anglos saxons reused old Roman and British villas or that was uncovered in church foundations or even an actual pig sty (this actually happens) is around the house.

Also... There's one headcanon I've had for a very long time where he always waits for them to wake up and start breathing again if it happens around him. Sitting vigil through a long night, turning the other way when Matt outright leaves to go check on Alfred and watching him carefully for answers when he returns. He searched Matt's face for what news, what despair, what relief marked his expression when he returned from tugging Alfred's corpse from the piles of dead at Antietam. And that, I think, stems from Brittania's death. When the sun went dark in the sky and pestilence followed hot on the heels of famine and their mother did not wake. Not that last time however it happened. And that may be burned into their perception of their own deaths.

Tldr: God I'm never going to recover from the brain rot that one asinine piece of dialogue from the dub gave me.

Fun TMI Tuesday fic question today: If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed, which would you choose, and why?

I hope this counts as a legitimate answer, but if we're talking fantasies here, I would LOVE for a multi-season tv series to be made for my entire "Sons of the Woodland King" saga, which I have not written in its entirely yet (I mean, it's a massive timeline), but I hope to chip at it piece by piece through both headcanons and fanfic stories.

It covers most of Thranduil's life, starting from his bachelor adventures in the the early Second Age, then his meeting, courtship, and marriage of the Elvenqueen, and ALL the way through the Third Age, during which he raises five beautiful sons and rules and grows a magnificent kingdom. But then what follows is the tragic decline in the latter part of the Third Age, when Dol Goldur rises and Thranduil suffers great loses protecting Middle-earth by defying and warring against the Necromancer.

It would make for epic, delicious, magnificent cinema, I like to think. <3

Oc Height Canons?

Since I Headcanon Eagles to shapeshift to the height of 3rd age elves which is around the 6' range Aerdis would be 6'4 - 6'5 i would also say in this form he would have a 10ft wing span in his eagle form he would be around the same size as Thorondor and having the same wingspan as him

Thalion I would say would be like an inch taller than Thranduil (Movie) so he would be 6'6

Lúthion i found somewhere Elrond's twins are 6'3 so i would say he would be about 6'2

Faeron honestly this one i could probably talk about for some time given most sources I have found they either say Maedhros is 7'6 or 8' and then i Hc Caranthir to be the next tallest and then Maglor and so i say Faeron is between Cara and Mags Height i put Cara at 7'5 and then Mags at 7'3 so i would say Faeron would be 7'4

Valkor would be in the possible height zone as Maedhros with the 7'6 to 8' but i would say Valkor would be 7'8

Kyaris lets assume Elrond is 6'1 which I think he is thats the same Height as Kyaris

Rae is the same height as Thranduil and lets go by PJ Movie height so he is 6'5

Kiiron is a Dragon shifter technically in his dragon form he is the same size as Thorondor but the dragon version in a humanoid form I would say he would be about or just taller than Aerdis

Levos is easy he is the younger brother to Legolas and I would say he would be about the same size if not shorter than Legolas and i would put him at 5'11 so Movie Legolas height one of the main reasons why i didn't bump him up to 6' is i believe wood elves would be shorter than their high elven kin sure i made Thalion tall but he gets because his mother is one with the forest.

Thilion to make it fair for Luthion i will say Thilion can manipulate his height he is Manwe and Varda's son after all so Thilion let your imagination go while but he would probably leave his height in middle earth the same height as Luthion.

Nyeldo is the brother of Ecthelion so I imagine they have the same height so he would be 7'3

Hyamro would be 6' i don't have a reason he would just be 6'

Faelyn would be around 6'3 given his family were high elves still short for a high elf but he would be 6'3

Eirian since I put the Lords of Gondolin all around the tall 6' to 7' zone he would be 6'11 (I am thinking about reembodying this boy because i just want him to go up to Bilbo and be like how's my knife i killed a dragon with doing and bilbo just being flabbergasted)

Ardian Thalion's mother i would say shes around 5'6 the forest and Thanion gave him his height

EIRIAN x SOLANGE

We both know Eirian is adamant about his distaste for reading and learning how to write. However, should Sunny offer to work with him while he’s trying to piece together the words and sentences, he might be more willing to give this reading and writing a proper shot.

When he’s making sweets absentmindedly, there has been a trend of him decorating the treat by making it somehow resemble Sunny’s color scheme and vibes. So... it’s not a coincidence when there’s a bunch of sun designs or sunflowers on his cakes. 

I’m pretty sure Sunny will eventually learn how to sneak healthy foods into all the snacks he eats due to how much he eats them and how he sometimes slacks on eating healthy.

Eirian takes extra care to make sure Sunny never finds out he ended up getting himself branded a criminal upon them reuniting in Fates verse. This is why he’ll never let her pull away the bandages he keeps wrapped around his wrists.

Due to her habit of leaving without a word, it’s likely Eirian will insist on going with her. However, he never ends up winning that battle, always left behind to wait for her to return. This is why he won’t move away from base camp—he wouldn’t want her to think he finally gave up on her because he decided to change where his home base was.

Some of his high quality gifts tend to come from questionable sources (AKA he stole retrieved them while out on a mission), and every time Sunny finds out, she gives him a huge amount of scolding. Even despite the immoral acquisition of it, I can still see him convincing her it was better than leaving it to gather dust where he found it. He wouldn’t actually steal things from anyone but bandits anyway.

It surprises him that he is even willing to give her as many chances as he has, considering how quickly he can drop people at the drop of a hat and not care. At this point, he is seriously questioning his sanity. He keeps telling himself he’ll give her ‘just one more chance’, but then it ends up being like ten more chances. I guess that shows just how much he does love her.

okay, this one was a lil’ tough for me to decide, but i can imagine eirian waking up on his own & just turning on his side to see sunny sleeping quietly & soundly-- and the image is so soft to me?? like, he’s prolly a lil’ anxious that she may not be there with him (bc of her traveling) and so it’s his unconscious habit to wake up before her & be so relieved that she’s there??

she’s kind of a menace in the kitchen- like, she’s gotten better depending on her verse, but like, generally speaking, it’s sunny. eirian is just that more proficient at cooking i’d say.

how do they let each other know they’re leaving the house:

sunny honestly forgets to say something, but if they ever make up & she’s living with eirian, i can see her trying to be better at saying she’s leaving the house?? like, sometimes she’ll mix it up & find the courage to give eirian a peck on the cheek before she goes- that kind of thing.

eirian, on the other hand, is much better at letting her know when he’s off. without fail, he tells her he’s going, and maybe like sunny, he’ll try to catch her off guard by giving her a goodbye kiss-- iuhdskdkv

how do they greet each other when one of them gets home:

sunny likes hugs. so, she’ll throw her arms around him & just squeeze- eirian may or may not have to pry her off bc she gets oddly cuddly?? it rlly depends aha-

as for eirian.  . . he probably has sweets for sunny to try?? like, i can just see him saying “welcome home” & just goes over and plops a piece of candy in her mouth with a nonchalant smile-- 

who brings home little gifts like flowers/chocolates more often: eirian

yep. eirian is much better at getting lil’ gifts & sunny can’t even compete. but like, she’ll try, but he’s just so more consistent at it??

who picks the movie for movie night: both

okay so i feel like it’s more of a spur of the moment thing where they’re like “let’s watch a movie” and they don’t really care what it is?? i mean, sunny probably doesn’t even have the attention span to choose out of the catalog, so more or less, it’s eirian scrolling to see what movie. . . and then they’re both like “oh this looks good”- 

catch them just cuddling and ignoring the movie altogether while they quietly speak about their day-

i don’t see them as movie fanatics, so i can’t say for sure. i bet sunny & eirian have their favorites for sure, but it’s not just one genre?? mhm, they probably watch everything from comedies to horror. it depends on their mood-

yeah i think it depends on who’s feeling particularly mischievous, but sunny & eirian prolly have this childish game going where they see who can evoke a bigger reaction from the other?? like, honestly this happens more often than not- i rlly think they just enjoy each other’s company to the point movie watching isn’t the biggest priority.

sunny has random ideas pop in her head all the time, so i can see her just sparkling with the idea of doing a pillow fort. she’ll look cute to eirian with that childish gleam in her eye that they end up building it-

big spoon is prolly eirian & little spoon is sunny! if they do end up cuddling, eirian just has to wrap his arms around sunny especially since he prolly likes knowing he has her & she’s not going anywhere except his arms-- it’s just more comforting?

they probably tried to switch it up sometime with sunny holding him, but it wasn’t the same? and so, they go back to the usual !

Forgive me for imposing my own headcanons on you but I like to think your characterization of Arthur was greatly regretful and mournful of his mother's sacrifice for him UNTIL Alfred is born. Only then does he completely understand her decision to give herself for him because he knows he would have given absolutely anything for his son

Respectfully disagree! When I write about Brittania's death or Eirian's death, her sacrifice was not her death but how long she endured and strove to survive before meeting her end. Rhys ending her life was her choice, not a sacrifice. It is a choice many people make when survival no longer outweighs the losses of independence, identity and dignity. Her son spearing her through the heart with her own sword is the final sacrifice to the woman who was once a patron goddess in her own right. Her death was a release from her sacrifice.

Every moment she survived was another moment and another chance for Arthur to grow and mature before her death. Every harvest she saw was another year to teach her children how to survive her end. I don't think any nation will willingly go to their permanent deaths on behalf of another. And even if she had, Arthur's co-opting of the human term 'parent' is not the same to his children as it was to him and his mother. Arthur replaced her on their land as a result of cultural changes and a breakdown of what fueled her existence. His own children came into being as the direct result of something far more sinister, and there's a very inherent difference. Kill for his children? Yes. Endure the temporary damage of a human death? Occasionally. Volunteer his permanent national destruction for them? Never.

Whoa!Whole two years!No londer the fic is so well thought out!Tumblr chara limit didn't allow me to gush over the characters' design in my og ask so will do here-I loooove Zanthus' cape! I see ya king of the jungle:D I also LIVE for the diversity of your characters.Another thing that is more of a headcanon of mine,as someone with ADHD I painfully relate to Eirian's inability to finish certain tasks and struggle w school.Does she have ADHD or is she just a ditz? Here are some Maleficent headcanons I came up with. If you haven’t seen both movies I’d suggest watching those first before reading these. They’re rough and unpolished, but I hope they’re interesting enough.

*Once upon a time there were two kingdoms. The first was inhabited by humans who worked tirelessly to ensure its prosperity. The second belonged to the mysterious and long-lived creatures of the moors who observed them from a distance, amazed at their industriousness. Over time each race's curiousity for the other grew and eventually the Faerie King, Eirian, sent an ambassador to the his counterpart to request a meeting.

It was accepted and he traveled to the great castle where he was welcomed by King William. The two men talked at length about the realms they ruled and the wonders to be found theirin. Both were equally fascinated by the others tales, hanging on every word that was spoken. A friendship was formed and the two monarchs decided on an alliance. 

To solidify it they exchanged gifts. Eirian gave William a sword, named Heddwyn, forged from the fae's most precious metal and decorated with brilliant gems. Its beauty was not the weapon's only quality however. It would not rust nor break and could cut through all but the strongest of steel with ease. William gave Eirian a torc forged from solid gold and inlaid with the most valuable gems in the land. 

Peace flourished between the two kingdoms for many years, the bond between the friends strengthening as time wore on. However, Eirian knew that William was mortal and would someday pass. When he did, the Faerie King was heartbroken, but he had vowed to William that he, as well as his heirs, would uphold the alliance. William's son took his father's place, and his own child took his, and so it continued. That was, until the darkest of days came.

The latest king, Alaric, was the youngest of five brothers, all of his other siblings dying in accidents that seemed too suspicious for Eirian's liking. Nothing had been proven, though, and he still remembered his vow to William all those years ago. Alaric was under no such inclinations, for he lusted after Eirian's kingdom. He also harbored a deep hatred for those who dwelt in the moors, as did a number of his subjects. But, most of all, he feared that Eirian would one day take his kingdom from him.

Embittered by his own greed and full of pride he demanded that Eirian surrender his own lands to him. When he declined, Alaric renounced the alliance and declared war on the fae and their kin. A long and bloody battle ensued, the fair folk retreating to the moors after Eirian was slain. Alaric's men pursued them, but, after much struggle, in which Hedwynn was reclaimed by Princess Rhonwen, the daughter of King Eirian, they were pushed back and eventually relented. From that day foward, the two races were divided.

The great rift between them was only healed by Queen Aurora who brought the two kingdoms under one rule at last.

*Maleficent releases Diaval from her service and gives him the ability to shift form at will.

*When Maleficent first encountered Diaval she said “form of a human” which, as she did not know how ravens aged at the time, resulted in him turning into a one year old child. She raises him as her son and he becomes close friends with Aurora as a raven. He is sixteen when he meets are as a young man. (Note:Diaval looks much younger than he does in the film in this AU)

*Maleficent is not Aurora’s adoptive mother in this AU, although she does help her aunties take care of her.

*Aurora and Daival grow to be close friends throughout the years, and, as they grow older, Maleficent sees that there is something more than friendship between them. She has come to view Aurora almost as a daughter-in-law of sorts, though she and Diaval are not wed yet.

*Diaval marries Aurora when she is the age of twenty-three and together they have a son, Crown Prince Corvus.

*When Diaval becomes King Of The Two Realms he is gifted Heddwyn and King Eirian's torc by Aurora, who had been given them when she became Queen. A black suit of armor with golden patterns is forged for him as well, made from the same materials as Heddwyn. Both were give to Corenlius' family to guard after Alaric's War.

*Armor made from the same material as his own is forged for Diaval's stallion.

*Emmaus is Stefan's older brother who raised him after their parents died. When he learned of Maleficent, he wanted to meet the faerie himself. She was cautious at first, but soon grew to like the young man and the three became fast friends. Emmaus took whatever jobs he could find to provide for himself and his brother. Stefan began working with him as well once he was old enough.

Things all changed when they came to work as servants at the castle. They both heard of what had happened to King Henry at the moors and of his decree that any man who should slay Maleficent would be given his daughter to wed. He later told his brother that he would go and warn her, but Stefan convinced him to stay while he went to tell of her the news. When Emmaus learned what Stefan had done he was furious. When he confronted his brother Stefan replied that at last they had the life they deserved.

Emmaus bitterly stated that he did not deserve to be King at all. Angered, Stefan stripped Emmaus of the title of Prince and banished him. Even so, Emmaus refused to let Stefan sit on the throne and ventured into the moors where he sought out a powerful faerie named Islwyn. Hoping to defeat Stefan in a duel he asked him to aid him in his quest, giving his father's ring as payment. Islwyn granted his wish, but twisted his words and turned him into a beast.

Even then Emmaus was not dismayed, and approached the castle gates. At first the guards moved to attack him, halting only when he announced who he was. Unsure of what to do, they brought him before Stefan who taunted his brother. Once he had found out why Emmaus had come he agreed to fight him in an honorable duel. The next morn a crowd gathered to watch the battle.

Although both wielded a sword and bore a shield, Emmaus was only clad in a few pieces of armor that could barely fit his frame. Stefan wore a full suit of it. Still, Emmaus was determined to try his best. He could not let Stefan cause this kingdom to fall any farther or cause harm to any more innocents.

The two men launched at each other, their blows falling like rain, the clang of sword against armor echoing like the piercing wails of some tortured creature. Back and forth they went, first one seeming the victor before he was beaten back by the other. Then, slowly, but surely, Emmaus begain to gain on Stefan. The king panicked. He could not lose. Not after all he had went through to get there. He subtly struck at Emmaus thigh, the iron biting into his flesh. Emmaus roared in pain and fell to the ground. Stefan pressed his blade to his brother's throat.

Emmaus snarled that he had cheated. They were only supposed to strike where armor was worn. Stefan coldly stated that he had agreed to no such thing. Emmaus had requested an honorable duel. He was not required to adhere to his version of honor. Either he get up and leave or Stefan would slay him where he lay. Emmaus relunctantly yielded and was allowed to leave. Tired and bleeding he limped back to the Moors. To his surprise he ran into Maleficent. Upon learning who he was and what had transpired she took pity on him. She allowed him to stay in the Moors under her protection and healed his wound as best she could. He was also given a staff to make walking more comfortable.

Emmaus questioned if Islwyn's magic could be undone. She replied that only the faerie himself could remove the spell. So they set out to find him, Maleficent using all the resources at her disposal to locate the elusive prince. No matter how far they travelled, though, they could not find Islwyn. At last they relented after months of searching, Emmaus certain that he was condemned to be a beast forever.

That was, until a certain resident of the Moors informed of how a wizard had lived there not long ago. Perhaps there was something there that could aid him. Emmaus replied that was not possible, for only Islwyn could could help in that regard. The creature told him that not even Maleficent knew everything. Emmaus tried to forget about it, telling himself that there would be nothing there. Still, even the smallest possibility that he might be wrong at at him. Finally, unable to let the matter go, he travelled to the wizard's home without informing Maleficent. It pained him not to tell her, but he knew she would object to what he was doing. He had to know. It did not take too long to arrive there.

Emmaus inspected every inch of the structure, and, although he found many things of interest there, nothing seemed to be able to aid him. Then he stumbled upon the library, the worn and faded tomes lying upon the floor amid half-empty inkwells. Emmaus carefully looked through them, hoping that somewhere within their tattered pages were the answers he so desperately sought. He was overjoyed when he found a spell that would possibly allow him to regain his human form.

Emmaus took the book with him, working for months to gather the correct components. He made sure to hide what he was doing from those around him. After much time and effort everything was ready. He readied himself and began the spell. It him like a tidal wave, pain the likes of which he had never felt before coursing through his body, crushing like a vice. Emmaus roared in pain, ripping Maleficent from her sleep and causing her to burst into his small cabin.

Emmaus managed to gasp out what he had done. She was horrified, trying to undo the magic with her own, but was unable to. Maleficent could only hold him to her as he writhed in agony. Tears fell from her eyes onto his fur as he lay in her arms for hours on end until at last the pain began to ebb and slowly fade away. When it was all over Emmaus asked her in a weak voice why it hadn't worked. He had done everything right.

It was discovered shortly thereafter that that Emmaus had read the book incorrectly. The spell only removed his immortality. Maleficent whispered to him that he was a fool for doing what he had did, that she had warned him that there was only one way. Emmaus agreed, apologizing for not listening to his friend, begging her to forgive him and not to punish the one who had told him about the wizard's home. Maleficent agreed and the two sat there for a good while, taking comfort in each other's presence. Afterwards they destroyed the book, as well as anything the wizard had owned that could possibly be a danger. Maleficent then decided to teach him about the proper use of magic, and Emmaus learned many things. He even started to dabble in alchemy, Maleficent allowing him to keep those tomes that weren't destroyed. Emmaus even wrote down his own findings in journals.

Years later, when Emmaus learned about how Maleficent cursed Aurora he was furious. He understood her hatred for his brother and what he had done, but that was no reason to punish an innocent child. A heated argument ensued that left them not talking for a long time. Then one day Maleficent visited Emmaus, telling him of how she had grown fond of the child and regretted what she had done.

Emmaus asked if she could undo do it. She replied that it was not possible. There was no way to take it back. He tried to relieve Maleficent's anguish as best he could, holding her in his arms like she had done with him so long ago. When Aurora ventured into the Moors he refrained from showing himself. She did not need to be reminded of her father and he did not want to lie to her about his identity. Instead he observed her from a distance, smiling to himself as he watched her play with the fair folk.

When Aurora discovered that it was Maleficent who had cursed her, his own heart broke along with the faerie's. He moved beside her and they talked long into the night, Maleficent grateful for his company. Emmaus aided her in whatever way he could, including going with her to the castle to try to prevent the curse from being fulfilled and fighting Stefan's forces with her. Upon seeing Aurora alive and that Maleficent regained her wings joy filled his heart. Once everything was over he introduced himself to her, telling the princess everything that had happened to him.

Aurora was surprised to learn that she had an uncle. Emmaus told her why he had refrained from meeting her and asked for her forgiveness. She gave it freely, embracing him and inviting Maleficent, Diaval, and himself to live at the castle. They graciously declined, for the Moors were their home. Sometime later Diaval visits Emmaus, telling him of his desire to become mortal so that he won't have to live for years on end while Aurora and his future children age and die. Emmaus, of course, refuses. He will not put anyone through the kind of pain he suffered.

But Diaval begs and pleads with him until Emmaus finally relents and does as he wishes. Thankfully, Maleficent is not nearby and Diaval is stripped of his immortality. He is severly weakened from the ordeal and has to stay in Emmaus’ cabin for some time, which does not surprise either Aurora or Maleficent as Diaval had told them he would be visiting Emmaus for a while. Under the older man’s care he recovers and is able to conceal what happened from his loved ones.

Aurora can not help but feel, though, that her beloved is hiding something from her. When she confronts Diaval, he at last confesses. The queen is horrified, immediately running off to tell Maleficent. Furious, she bursts into Emmaus' cabin, for, although Diaval did not tell how he rid himself of his immortality, Maleficent knew her friend was the only one with the knowledge to do such a thing. He does not try to stand against her assault, confirming that he was indeed responsible and that this was not the first time he had done such a thing. Maleficent is hurt and betrayed, in disbelief that her friend would do something like this behind her back again.

She asks who was the first person he turned mortal. Emmaus is relunctant to reveal their identity, but she presses him. Just then Cornelius, Aurora's Chief Advisor, and Diaval arrive, the latter revealing that it was he that asked Emmaus to remove his immortality. They tell Maleficent that they had begged Emmaus to do it, that he had warned them of what would happen, and that they had accepted the risks.

Maleficent is convinced to leave Emmaus be, although she is still angry at him. Sometime later, Cornelius approaches Maleficent and Aurora. He tries his best to explain why he wanted to be mortal. He didn't want to watch his wife and children die while he stayed forever youthful. It would be a pain far beyond that of Emmaus' spell. His wife had forgiven him for what he did long ago, and he hoped they would do the same for Diaval and Emmaus. The queen and her guardian take his words in after he departs, finding it in their hearts to make amends with Diaval and Emmuas, who promises never to do such a thing again.

After Diaval and Aurora are married Emmaus notices that he has feelings for Maleficent. Unbeknownst to him she felt the same way about him.Try as they might to dismiss them, they could not and eventually they confess their love for each other. They are shocked but overjoyed and thier relationship changes. One sorrow grips Emmaus, though, and that is the fact that he is mortal unlike her. He finds himself wishing that he had his immortality back, which is ironic considering what he went through to get rid of it. Then, Maleficent kisses him and his life is changed forever.

Emmaus' body begins to transform, but the sensation was nothing like he had felt before. It is not painful at all, but warm and pleasant. At first he thinks he is becoming a man again, but then he sprouts wings and it dawns on him that he is becoming a faerie. Not only that, but he feels his immortality returning to him, as well as the pain that was always in his leg disappearing, though his scar does not fade away. When he has fully metamorphized Maleficent flings her arms around him, kissing him deeply. When Emmaus asked how this could possibly happen she says that magic is a strange thing. Not even the faeries know everything about it.

Their love for each other had transformed Emmaus. He had given her what she thought she would never have again. True love. Time passes and they too are married, happier than they've ever been before.

*Emmaus still keeps his staff which serves to channel his magic after he is a faerie.

*Both Emmaus and Maleficent attended Diaval and Aurora's wedding, even if some people were uncomfortable about a beast and a faerie attending. Later, Emmaus, now a faerie himself, and Maleficent are also there for Corvus' christening. They, of course, are welcome to visit whenever they want.

*Emmaus blesses Corvus with wisdom, Maleficent blesses him with joy, Knotgrass blesses with him kindness, Thistlewit blesses him with generosity, and Flittle blesses him determination.

*The dragons, who had long acted as ambassadors between the Kingdom Of The Moors and the Kingdom Of Men, fled after Alaric's War. Some remained behind, though, many of them having fallen in love with mortals. They fled to places far away from Alaric and his men, only returning after many years had passed. They and their descendants lived among humans who never knew of their true nature. Cornelius, an advisor to King Stefan, was born to a dragon couple.

*When a dragon and a human have a child they have the chance to have a dragon form, although they are still mortal.

*Cornelius advised Stefan not to attack the Moors and its people, but the king did not listen.

*Cornelius’ true nature is revealed before Diaval marries Aurora, which the nobles had hoped would ruin his chances of becoming king. To their surprise, not only does Aurora promote Cornelius to Chief Advisor, but she welcomes the dragons back into her lands.

*Maleficent and Islwyn are Rhonwen's children.

*Fae-touched creatures such as Diaval or Emmaus are able to wield magic. Its color is usually similar to that of their progenitor. Diaval's magic is the same color as Maleficent’s before she unbinds him from her service and a dark green when he is no longer bound to her. Emmaus'  magic is a warm orange when he is a beast and a golden color when he is a faerie and longer attached to Islwyn.

*Although Aurora accepts Phillip's proposal, she has feelings for Diaval.She does not acknowledge them, though. Throughout their engagement they grow stronger and stronger. After Ingrith's War is over she tells Phillip. He wants her to be happy and let's her go. Aurora reveals her feelings to Diaval and he responds that he feels the same. The three kingdoms are still allied and Phillip remains a good friend to them both.

*Ingrith's brother, Jacob, was never killed by the faeries. He was injured by a pack of wolves, but the faeries found them and nursed his wounds. He told them that the people of his kingdom were dying and that they needed their aid. They promised to send it, nursing his wounds to the best of their abilities. Unfortunately, he passed away, but the faeries buried him among their dead as an act of compassion.

Upon sending an ambassador to Jacob's kingdom, his father, David, welcomed them with open arms and thanked them for their help and for taking care of his son. Even though the kingdom was healed, many were convinced they had killed him. They overthrew David and chased the ambassador out.

*Emmaus fell into the water with Maleficent and was also rescued. When the faeries found out who he was, they were furious. Maleficent grew aggresive when they tried to remove him, convincing them to let him stay. Emmaus goes to live with them after Ingrith's War is over.

headcanons are under the cut because I wrote a decent bit.

ROSE: How much does your muse value other people? Do they wish to have many friends, lovers, and/or associates? Are they an easy person to love?

REANNE

Reanne doesn’t seem to value other people that much from her conduct. She appears to only care for herself while others are an afterthought. This is true in most scenarios and with people she hardly knows. When she happens to bond with you, her care tends to show itself more, such as going out of her way to explain why she is acting a certain way to you, even if you didn’t ask for her motives (simply because her methods are more on the mean side than not most of the time). In short, she only values you if she has bonded with you.

As for the types of relationships she wishes she could have... she wants a boyfriend she can love until the end—a guy she could end up marrying someday and have a wholesome and completely trusting romance with. She wants a partner who can communicate well and not be shaken by her attempts to show her affection. Looks would be nice, but she’ll love you in whole as long as your character resonates with her innate criteria of a good relationship. But still, you have to make the effort to look like you care about yourself. 

For friends and associates, she would like to be around people who don’t get insulted easily, because Reanne often says things crudely and without thinking, throwing out insults or harsh commentary more often than anything nice (remember: she talks crap to people’s faces and tends speaks nice about them behind their backs—being openly nice to someone in front of them is a thing she is working on). People who aren’t afraid to call her out for the misstep and give her the reason to try to amend it are also good types of people for her to hang around—she doesn’t realize her mistakes unless people point them out most of the time.

Reanne is not an easy person to love because she shows her flaws first, before any sort of good quality (aside from her aesthetically pleasing visage). She is also someone who finds it hard to connect deeply with/love others, even if she may form short/fleeting crushes on them. 

EIRIAN

Eirian wants to be surrounded by good people and friends, people who don’t mind his antics and don’t get easily angered with him and his brain dead moments. He wants to have friends who will have fun with him and a partner who’ll join in on whatever adventure he decides to go on next with no questions asked. The boy is a spontaneous character and tends to act on the first thought that runs through his head (unless he’s in a gloomy/agitated mood). Be ready to deal with a hyper kid who likes talking to the point of saying the dumbest things possible.

As for valuing people... it really depends on who we’re talking about. He can easily shift from highly valuing someone to not even caring about their fate in a span of seconds (even within the same event/moment in time such as a single conversation). His moods are unstable and he is quick to cut people out if he feels the other party is going to abandon him or throw him to the wolves to any slight degree. Though, he’ll never not value his family. He values them so much; it’s impossible for him to not care. He tends to value his romantic partner quite highly, but that is still a relationship susceptible to being changed within seconds.

Loving Eirian is not hard to do if you see him as a kid who has a lot of growing to do. Most tend to view him as a younger brother figure and treat him with familial-like love. A few of his older acquaintances have been like that. However, it’s difficult to for others to like him in a romantic sense, but he is quite lucky since there is one person out there like that for him.

KOEN

Koen values people mostly on an even field. There isn’t someone he cares about more than others and there isn’t someone he cares about less than others in most scenarios. Even a lover isn’t going to get much special treatment from him—not that he ever intends to have one for himself. Remember, he isn’t close to people. He is akin to a bystander or a stranger to most people, a person who won’t likely be remembered since he hardly tries to stand out as a prominent memory in someone’s mind. Though, his family is probably the one exception to this rule as he would throw them under the bus for what they did to him.

As for friends and other relations, he honestly wants none of it. He’s too used to being alone and staying off on the sidelines to know how to operate properly during social situations. He doesn’t feel comfortable when dealing with familiar people. More interactions with the same people tend to get him feeling uneasy due to the risk of them learning about him. He doesn’t like being seen much. If anything, he’d rather watch the world through a glass window instead of participate in it.

Koen is not easy to love because of the distance he puts between himself and other people. He’s a bit of an odd one, so only those with that specific type would have a chance to develop romantic feelings for him in the first place.

SALVIA: Is your muse possessive over people or things that matter a lot to them? How do they express that possessiveness or lack thereof?

REANNE

Reanne is technically possessive over people she feels like she has connected with. She doesn’t like sharing because she is afraid that the person she bonded with will find better company than her and ultimately leave her for good. Her expressions are what give her away, and she can’t help but direct hate and envy towards the other person her friend may be sticking to. It’ll take her time to accept that she may not be someone’s only decent friend, but until then, she may act a bit irritated and passive-aggressive. 

In the case of her boyfriend having another party he’s close to in what could be too close for her comfort, she acts a little bit differently than being passive-aggressive towards her friend. She trusts her partner no matter what, so she will try to suppress her innate want to hate the other party. When all three are present, Reanne will cling to her boyfriend quite tightly and be hesitant to let him go, though if he insisted she would reluctantly release him. Expect sad faces.

EIRIAN

Eirian is really hands-off. He lets people do what they want unless it ruins his mood or fun. That’s when he starts complaining and demanding the other person fix the mood somehow. So, if people don’t actually ruin his mood, he isn’t likely to step in or do anything. He’s completely fine with his friends, family, and lover hanging out with other people, he’s fine with them not talking frequently as long as he has a way to keep in touch whenever he wants to talk with them, and he’s capable of giving them space if they need it in the cases he is being too clingy. 

Just because Eirian doesn’t seem to outwardly care about what others do, he still tends to keep tabs on the things he notices and sees. When he sees some evidence of things going wrong (ex. someone betraying his earlier displayed trust), he may shift to a confrontational approach and try to address the issue (though he tends to be angry and hardly rational when he brings up the topic for discussion). Alternative, he may give someone the cold shoulder and refuse to humor any sort of conversation. Or as a final option, he may end up clinging to the person even more and watch them like a hawk to prevent them from doing something he doesn’t like.

He does have the stealth skills of a thief, so he most likely will be lurking around when you least expect it. He has ways of getting information as well, so he most likely will know about events even if he isn’t physically around to take it in.

KOEN

He is really possessive and he makes it obvious to the target of that possessiveness. He is quick to pull someone aside when things start getting sketchy, such as potential betrayal or lying (if the lie needs to be called out). It starts with a simple conversation, one that is so direct and to the point about the breach of trust that it creates a strain in the relationship.

From there, he may grab onto the person’s arm a lot more, even just subtly, as a warning to not do something that would incur his wrath even more. Koen isn’t violent, but he sure knows how to stare into the depths of your soul with those eyes of his; they are all he needs to communicate his rage. His voice will turn colder, and he no longer looks at them with interest or curiosity—it’s all distaste and hate for betraying his trust. 

In public he won’t act a smidge different from usual, but privately... well, you just know you messed up. He will take measures to ensure someone’s loyalty to him and the bond they have with him—it may include him forcibly pressuring them into agreeing or submitting to his words without letting them speak a word, and he may cross lines that shouldn’t be crossed. And he doesn’t care if that person’s opinion of him changes after seeing this side of him either. They’re stuck with him whether they like it or not given they haven’t done too much damage.
