childe, who never misses christmas. he could be somewhere far away, doing work or just simply relaxing—but exactly at midnight, he's knocking on your door, a gift in his hand and a wide smile etched on his face, as he waited for you to open the door—but when you do, his lovestruck face and voice will be the first thing you'll see and hear. “merry christmas, baby.” he greets. and before you could even say anything, childe wraps his arms around you, his face buried in your neck and shoulders.

childe breathes in your scent as he hugs you tighter, not wanting any space between the both of you in the cold of the night. you smiled, gently patting his back. "merry christmas, ajax." you whispered in his ear. childe pulls away slightly, his gloved hands cupping both of your cheeks before leaning in and placing a peck on your forehead, your nose and lastly, your lips.

thoma, who lights up when he sees you open your front door, dressed up and ready for your christmas date. he grins, as he gently nudges you while you lock your door. “you're looking way too pretty...are you perhaps the 'gift' you wanted to surprise me with?” he teased, before receiving a slap on his arm. “sorry, sorry!” he says in defeat.

after that, thoma took you to a park. it was filled with christmas decorations, lighting up the whole place. both of you stopped in front of a large christmas tree and you couldn't help but admire it. however, unbeknownst to you, thoma was admiring you from behind. after a few moments, you heard him say your name. you turned around and saw thoma kneeling on the ground with one knee, and a small red box on his hand.

diluc, who went home before midnight. to hell with meetings and paperwork—being with you right now is what he needed. he didn't even bother to announce his arrival as he immediately took off his coat and walked towards the living room, to see you watching a movie while drinking hot chocolate.

he sighed in relief, before joining you on the couch—his arms wrapped around your waist and his head resting on top of your chest. no questions were asked, you were used to it. “i'm home,” he mumbles. “merry christmas.”

kaeya, who catches you off guard as he starts giving a heartfelt speech about your friendship, and how important it is to him—what he felt, what he learned about himself, how thankful he is to you and how he wanted this relationship to last forever.

kaeya chuckled, before turning to you. “you make me feel like the most important person in the world.” he said. “and this time, i want to give it back or repay you.” he added, as he walked closer towards you. he stops and gently holds both of your hands. “i want to make you feel so special...so loved.” he whispers, but loud enough for you to hear—and as the clock strikes midnight, he says...“i want you, and i want to be yours.”

zhongli, who lets himself get pulled by you—a hand on his wrist as you navigate through the night market. he smiled when he saw you laugh as you rambled about the stuff you wanted to purchase.

with adoration in his eyes, zhongli watched your every move—from the way you held his wrist a tighter, but not too much, to how you showed him random things that reminded you of him—zhongli wanted those saved in his memory. he wanted it all, and he wanted you for himself.

honey’s notes : I thought about this fic watching ponyo really late at night, but Diluc as ponyo’s dad is so fitting you don’t even know!!! Albedo walked towards you slowly, your hands wrapping around the small bundle in his arms and lifting it. In it, a small child, her eyes staring straight as you as she chewed on her fingers. Although the child of yours is born out of alchemy, the little thing carries yours and diluc’s blood. You could hear Diluc’s footsteps behind you, “are they..is it?..” his timid voice was soft and gentle, looking over your shoulder to see the sleeping child in your arms.

You nod, turning towards Diluc, wanting to place the child in his arms. you slowly place your daughter in his arms, Diluc could feel the chills down his spine, this little moving bundle in his arms stared at him with such curiosity. All Diluc could see was her. The small girl in his arms. His child.

You can see diluc’s eyes start to water, a parental love in his eyes as he scans over each feature of your daughter. A smile graced your face, if someone told you, you’d get trapped inside a game you loved and was forced to play god, then have a child with one of the characters, You’d laugh in their faces, you weren’t one to want a child, you weren’t sure if it was the fact that you’re afraid to fail as a parent or you just felt like you don’t see yourself with having one.

You laughed silently as he jokingly glared at you. “I can’t wait till she grows up.“ he mumbles, looking back down.

It seems that Diluc can’t get enough of just staring at her. You hug Diluc from behind, lacing your fingers together as you place your chin on his shoulder, a comfortable silence washed between both of your for a bit.

“Have you named her yet?” You ask, Diluc jumped a little. “Don’t you want to, your grace?” He turned to you in surprise, you just shook your head and maintained eye contact with Diluc. “no, you can name her. I suck at naming, I don’t want our child to hate the name given to her.” You answered. Diluc stayed silent for a few minutes.

“Elise.” Diluc uttered. His thumb gently swipes against the sleeping baby’s face, for a synthetic being, her skin felt so, human. “Elise it is then.” You agreed.

“Elise!” Diluc called for the four year old girl. Today was the little girl’s birthday. It was a busy day at the winery. You’d been on expedition, going through all seven nations, you missed your family dearly, but now you’re coming home, coming to see how big your daughter has grown.

“Elise! Where are you, baby bird!” Diluc called out once more, he was trying his best to get Elise ready for her birthday party, being the creator’s daughter, Diluc has a lot of pressure on his back since the whole of Mondstadt will be celebrating his daughter’s birthday. “Oh your grace, please give me strength and patience.” He silently prayed as he looked through each aisle of his vineyard for the little red-head child of his.

A giggle reached his ears, a small girl peeked from behind the bushes, diluc’s eyes landed on her as the girl jumped and screamed out, laughing. Diluc chased after her, “come here, little troublemaker!” His strong arms wrapped around his daughter as she screamed out of joy. “no! Stop!!- it tickles!” Elise shrieked as Diluc tickled her in his arms.

“You need to get ready young lady!” Diluc jokingly scolded, taking her back to the winery to get her ready for her big day. “Mhm! Mhm! I’m turning five today papa!! Is big sis Klee gonna be there?? Please tell me she is, papa! She promised!” Elise talked diluc’s ear off as he opened the winery’s doors, Adelinde sitting by the door to help dust Elise off.

“Of course big sis klee’s coming. You’re her bestest friend after all, she told me herself.” Diluc pinched Elise’s little nose as he took off her shoes, Adelinde picking her up. Diluc felt like he was living a dream. He wonders what he could’ve done to just, get this kind of life given to him.

Adelinde took his child to her room, getting her ready for her big party. Diluc sat down at the table in the foyer of his home. One hand held his chin as he thought deeply, failing to notice the opening of the door and the greetings of the maids of butlers of your presence.

Gentle arms wrapped around his figure, the embrace was nothing short but affectionate, a smile plastered on your face as Diluc opened his eyes to come into contact with yours. “Good evening, love. I’ve missed you so.” you caressed his cheek as he leaned into your touch, placing a gentle kiss to the inside of your hand.

“your grace, I’ve missed you too, how was inazuma? I hope nothing went wrong?” Diluc asked, his hand now affectionately wrapped around your hand, looking at you lovingly with adoration and love. You pout jokingly, “you’re still calling me your grace? We’ve been married for so long and that’s what you address me as, still?” You tease him as he shook his head in denial.

“I just thought that- well?-“ Diluc stumbled over his words, believing you were upset that he wouldn’t call you by your actual name or even just a pet name. “I’m just teasing, love. We’re married, so that means we’re equals. You’re allowed to call me anything you’d like, Diluc.” You pat his head gently, the warmth of your palms sends shivers down Diluc’s spine.

“Baba!! You’re home, I missed you! Baba! Baba! Baba!” Your little girl came rushing at you, her arms outstretched, expecting a huge hug from you. You opened your arms as Elise jumped into them happily, you both spun around as your child’s loud cries and giggles filled the winery. Elise’s laughs put a smile on anyone’s face. “Hey, little Angel. How are you today? You’re turning five today! you’re gonna be a big girl now!” Diluc watched the scene between you and her with a smile on his face.

He felt his cheeks start to hurt from smiling so much, but he could not help but smile so much with you being here. You and him, and Elise. Finally together at last. He cannot help but just indulge in this moment. Diluc snapped out of his thoughts when he saw Elise and you walk up to him. “We’re both ready, Diluc. You should go get ready too.” Elise looking up at him with such adorable eyes.

Diluc took a moment to straighten his daughter’s dress, the dress was a beautiful eggshell yellow and a beige fabric folded into a bow in the back wrapped around her waist, she looked so.. he couldn’t put it into words. “Luc, you’re crying.” You pointed out, wiping a stray tear on his cheek as he stepped back and wiped his remaining tears away.

You laughed softly as he apologized, “sorry, I just, she’s growing up so much. I get emotional.” Diluc recomposed himself, a shaky breath leaving him as he sniffled away his happy tears. “go get ready, papa! My party’s about to start! Hurry, hurry!” Elise jumped around her dad as Diluc nodded laughing. “Okay, okay I’ll go get ready.” He agreed walking up to his room.

you watched as he closed the door to his room, you look down at Elise who looked excited. “Guess what, little angel? I’ve got something for you. All the way from inazuma.” You pull out a kite from behind your back. Elise let out a big gasp as she held onto the gift, the kite had a beautiful deisgn, the background was a orange to yellow gradient, at the front, Elise’s favourite animal, a bunny with wisteria surrounding it.

“Go have fun, little angel.” Elise nodded before running off with Adelinde to help her fly the kite. You headed up the stairs to diluc’s room, to see if he’s done trying to get ready. You opened the door to see Diluc in the most intricate kind of suit you ever saw. His hair was in a high ponytail, a few braids done to make his hair look more intricate, you walked up to him, his figure turning towards you as he fixed his gloves. “You look amazing luc.” You complimented him softly, running your hands down his suit before patting it.

“so touchy, your grace.” Diluc teased as you slapped his shoulder jokingly, both of you share a laugh before Diluc turns back to the mirror, you give him a quick peck on the cheek as he jumped from the sudden affection. You laughed even more, placing a brooch on his suit while he was distracted by the kiss earlier. “There, now you’re ready.”

Loud music from the bards of Mondstadt played happily as you and Diluc held Elise’s hand throughout the streets, every civilian greeted her with a small “happy birthday” and a small wave and bow. They also of course greeted you, which made you a little uncomfortable. Where the fountain was, it was frozen into a statue-like state as the floor of it was surrounded in presents bought by the civilians of Mondstadt, plus some gifts from travellers and important people from all over the nation come to see your little daughter’s birthday.

Venti came flying towards you, landing gracefully before bowing before you and Elise who grabbed one of his braids and tugged him down, a yelp coming out from the windborne bard as you and Diluc gasped and pulled Elise back. “Are you okay, Venti? Elise, apologize.” You scolded Elise lightly who giggled softly and hid behind diluc’s legs.

“It’s okay, your grace! Just a little dusted, ehe!” Venti dusted himself off as you shook your head, sighing. “Anyways! Other than, whatever happened, I have a gift for you, little grace!” Ah yes, little grace, the nickname everyone in Mondstadt has called Elise ever since she was a babe. Elise poked her head out, the shimmering gift wrapping taking over her attention in a snap. You could see the excitement in her eyes as she looked up to Diluc, hoping to be able to open one of her parents early.

Diluc felt challenged as Elise gave Diluc the cutest puppy eyes you could see. Diluc gulps, glancing at you helplessly. You smiled and nodded, your hand slowly pushing Elise to the gift. “Don’t give your father such eyes, little angel. Go on, open the gift mr. Venti got you.” Elise took her eyes off Diluc as she turned to the big wrapped box, slowly pulling off the bow.

The box started to rattle, in which Diluc stepped forward, looking at venti as if warning him, Venti stared back with just a small smile. A squeal erupted from Elise as a white bunny came out from the glittery box. “Baba! It’s a bunny! Look, look!” Elise spun around, hugging the bunny close to her.

“Careful Elise, you might squeeze it too tight.” Diluc helped Elise carry the little fluff properly as it was trying to jump off from her arms. “That’s a lovely gift, Venti. Thank you, say thank you Elise!” You pat her back as she says a muffled thank you from the fur of the bunny as she nuzzled it. “A great gift indeed. It’ll teach Elise responsibility.” Diluc nodded with your opinion.

“Can i open the rest of my presents papa? Pretty please? There’s so many!” Elise walked around the fountain, which was covered with her presents as the little bunny dangled in her arms. While she circled around, she bumps into someone’s legs, she lets out a small oomf, looking up at the person she had bumped into. “little one, already exploring I see?” It was Zhongli! With a small present of his own as well.

“Mr. Li!” Elise laughed as Zhongli carried her up, a biege present being presented to her. “Happy birthday, little one.” little one has been the nickname chosen by the people of Liyue to refer to their grace’s heir. Elise thanks Zhongli as she opens the present, it glowed like jade, opening like a ring box. In it, a jade necklace. Diluc snatched it out of Zhongli’s hand, startling both the man and his daughter.

“I think, she’s too young for this type of gifts. She’s just five, I don’t think it would be good to give her jewelry so early on.” Diluc held the gift within her palms, Zhongli’s eyes were widened out of shock, then snapped out of it, shaking his head and placing Elise down. “If that’s what you wish so.” He replies to Diluc, who seemed to have his overprotective face on.

“Luc,” a warning came out from you as you patted the small of his back, trying to calm him. “Your grace! I apologize for being so late, I just couldn’t finish my duties fast enough and-“ you put your finger up to your lips, silencing Ei’s ramblings. “I’m just grateful you’re able to come to my child’s birthday Ei.” Diluc coughed, recomposing himself as he bowed to the archon of Inazuma, who bowed back.

“Master Diluc, nice to see you as well, your wine does well in Inazuma.” Ei greeted, making small talk. “Ah, that’s good to hear.” Diluc responded, hiding the jade box given by Zhongli behind his back. “Speaking of which, where is the little bird of yours, your grace? I have a present for her!” Ei clasped her hands together looking around for your little redhead daughter. You look around as well, not being able to spot your child.

“Elise?” You called out, Diluc started to look around as well, he could feel his heart start to pump a little faster, he couldn’t help but be worried, a child of the creator would be targeted by rebellions of course. He knows how it always works. This is why Diluc hates the big parties thrown for his baby bird and now she’s out of his sight and- “Diluc. It’s okay. Calm down.” You caressed his cheek with your hand, Diluc has just been made aware of the panic attack he started to have.

“It’s okay, I’m sure Elise is just around Mondstadt, you know she never leaves Mondstadt without her papa.” You try to calm Diluc down, who’s eyes showed nothing but downright delirious. “Venti, scan the area please. Find my child.” You ordered. Venti nodded, floating off in his gust of wind as the rest of your acolytes present went to search on ground.
