Oggi alla radio mi sono imbattuta in questa canzone di Alanis Morisette, che non sentivo da secoli e che avevo praticamente dimenticato. Si tratta di una lettera a cuore aperto, dove in mezzo a tutto il profondo senso di inadeguatezza, di smarrimento, di insicurezza che può provare qualcuno di fronte ai cambiamenti della vita, chiede solo di essere accettato per ciò che è. Per tutta la canzone si ripete sempre la stessa strofa ossia: "che io sarei stata brava se...". Sì, ma brava per cosa? Brava per chi? Negli ultimi tempi ho capito sulla mia pelle che, per quanto doloroso possa essere, a volte per qualcuno semplicemente non sarai mai "abbastanza bravo". Questo ti farà soffrire, certo, soprattutto quando si tratta di qualcuno da cui vorresti un'accettazione incondizionata di te, di tutto ciò che sei e invece inevitabilmente ciò non accade. Oggi però, voglio dirti che tutto questo dolore non deve fermarti dal portare avanti quello che sei o quello in cui credi, anche se d'un tratto ti ritrovi con tutto il mondo contro, anche se potrai venire presumibilmente etichettato come " quello sbagliato" di turno. Perché sì, potrà succedere che farai qualcosa che nessuno si sarebbe mai aspettato che tu facessi, potrà accadere che prenderai una decisione che gli altri contesteranno, non capiranno e potrai venire giudicato per questo. Ma la verità è che non c'è niente di peggio che vivere non tenendo conto di ciò che sei e di ciò che vuoi tu. Sentiti bravo per te.
