hinata fans lie about hinata “being abused by hiashi” to draw your attention away from the fact that hinata exploits (what is a real form of abuse) Neji and Ko as her slaves and uses them as her teachers and bodyguards.

hinata fans try to gaslight you into thinking that “hinata has a bad dad who hates and neglects her” so that they can trick you into sympathing with hinata.

By the way,even if hiashi really was an abusive father,like Gaara’s dad, this still would NOT justify hinata abusing Neji and Ko by using them as her slaves.

hinatafans are desperate to white wash hinata and to make her seem oh so innocent and oh so pure,so they lie,lie and lie some more.

hiashi being slightly strict to hinata one single time in the whole Naruto/Boruto franchise does NOT make him an abusive father.

hinata lost to hanabi,who is FIVE FUCKING YEARS YOUNGER!

Imagine that your child is worse in mathematics or any other school subject that someone who is 5 years younger: will you praise your child for failing?

Also,y’all are forgetting that this is a shinobi world full of political games and wars: hiashi is raising future clanhead,obviously he is forced to discipline his children and to pick a worthy candidate.

hiashi could and should have banished hinata to side branch and claimed her with caged bird seal,but he did not do so,he left hinata with all the sweet privileges of being in main Hyuga branch: owning slaves and using them as her bodyguards and teachers,having free access to the strongest Hyuga justu,being protected even against chunin exam rules; but without any responsibilities at all: hiashi dead straight tells hinata that she has no responsibility in the clan and can do whatever she pleases to.

I once read a fic where sakura was written exactly in character and when she discovered n and s relationship she immediately got angry at naruto ( like I think she would in canon), but then some people started to flame the author about why are they writing sakura like that, like they're being too harsh on her.

So yeah, I think in some cases authors write H and S more likable so they don't upset anyone and get bullied.

Hmm it's plausible. However, writers usually write what rings true to them, what seems believable to them, otherwise it reads insincere and it shows in their writing. I can't say much in relation to fanfic writers given most of them aren't professional writers, they mostly just write for fun or self comfort.

What I do know for sure is that if one is sincerely writing a canonverse divorce SNS fic in Boruto era, one has to pay attention to the granular nuances that Kishi himself so shrewdly wrote and drew himself in Gaiden and Boruto the movie. He insistently puts repeated emphasis on how Sasuke mindfully keeps physical and emotional distance from Sakura. Their relationship looks dysfunctional, stilted and forced. While Sakura still tries to establish/force intimacy with Sasuke like usual, he still consistently keeps her at a distance, even now when they are married and have a child together, to the point he doesn't even know what his own daughter looks like. Sarada suspects her own mother is hiding something from her about her own father. Kishi succeeded to do one thing that he definitely wanted to achieve with Gaiden. To create doubt, suspicion. To make SS look shady and phoney. Because it just wouldn't have been in character for Sasuke to be happy or content in this sham of a marriage. Because he is a gay man stuck in a het marriage with a woman he doesn't like or respect. He is unhappy and displeased to see her, doesn't even crack a smile, hasn't seen her in years btw. They talk to each other in such a cosmetic manner, calling each other my husband and my wife. Never kissed, to Sakura's great dismay. Does this look like a dynamic that would facilitate Sasuke canoodling casually with Sakura?

Kishimoto insistently shows Naruto idle away his time at his office, counting headbands, even when there's nothing significant keeping him there. Like he purposely doesn't wanna go back home. He sends his clones to attend important ocassions with his family. But for Sasuke, he is always, always there in person. He sleeps anywhere but in his own master bedroom he shares with Hinata. His wife knows nothing worthwhile about him that she can tell to comfort her son about his own father. Instead, Kishi makes Sasuke satisfy Boruto's curiosity that Hinata wasn't able to. Naruto thinks of Sasuke when receiving the love bento and not Hinata who made it for him. His own son reminds him of Sasuke and not his spouse who birthed him.

Both these families are pointedly portrayed as highly dysfunctional. The husbands aren't there more than 90 percent of the time, the women know nothing of worth about their husbands. Sakura doesn't even know if Sasuke wears glasses. They have been married for over 12 years, happy families who have been together for such a long time don't behave like this. Naruto and Sasuke look perennially tired, wretched, and downright miserable.

If two gay men were forced by circumstances to keep appearances, by being married to entitled and self absorbed women they have no love for, wouldn't this be exactly how they would behave? These women who were only motivated by what the boys represent and not by who they really are. Hinata and Sakura don't know their own husbands. And it's in character for both of them. A spouse who wants to possess their object of desire without any concern for anyone but their own selves, wouldn't they behave exactly like Sakura and Hinata? They would.

And thing is, when the boys are with each other, they clearly look like their older selves. Spirited, lit up. Happy. Never with their families.

When writing a divorce SNS fic, one has to at least try to write a believable narrative. And no one has to even look anywhere else, just look to Kishi, he has already given us a lot of material to judge and interpret the characters the way it would be, realistic, believable. Kishi's writing rings true.

Naruto and Sasuke are akin to two outsiders living in a world that doesn't or wouldn't acknowledge their truth. A world where they can't be their true selves. An unfair and prejudiced world. A reflection of the real world as understood by Kishi. Naruto and Sasuke are driven to live in the shadows, having secret meetings. So if one decides to write a fic where they are made to officially unite, they will need to acknowledge the reality of world that had been stopping them until now. Hinata and Sakura are not only part of this world, but are also complicit in Naruto and Sasuke's suffering. So if one wants to portray a narrative that culminates into Naruto and Sasuke taking a stand against the world that had been the reason they were apart till now, then one will need to portray this world in character, including Hinata and Sakura. Otherwise, the narrative will not only not ring true, it will be disrespectful and unjust to Naruto and Sasuke's characters.

And then and only then, will their union look justifiably and accurately portrayed. If Kishi's worldbuilding depicts Konoha to be unsupportive of same sex relationships, and Naruto and Sasuke are a part of this world, then one will have to develop the narrative accordingly to justify their official union. If you write this world, which includes Hinata and Sakura, out of character, then you aren't really doing justice to SNS canon narrative, nor to Sasuke and Naruto's own characters.

Before anyone leaves some whiny, non-sense comment or remark about subjective interpretation on this post, please know that I don't have the energy nor the patience to deal with such comments kindly. Please really think about what I am saying. Deconstruct canon narrative, peel the layers, see what lies underneath. The issue I am talking about is bigger than some sorry ass fic. If you don't depict the challenges and conflicts of the characters in a well rounded way, you will never be able to write a believable or just narrative. Characters are not written in abstraction, they don't come out of oblivion. They are shaped by their surroundings, people around them, their world's weltenschaung, their accepted way of life, a certain philosophy, a belief system. Without taking that into account and building the narrative accordingly, one simply can't write a story or characters that ring true. And Kishi KNOWS this, given he is a master writer. Look to him, be guided by him, if one can't figure it out by themselves. Do your due diligence. Put some effort and understanding in it. Watch other gay media for research, see how these dysfunctional relationships are portrayed. Try and stay true to gay narratives, establish the gay characters' conflict, their struggles, their compromises, their woes, their bitterness with respect to the world they live in. If you wanna write a fic that does justice to SNS and Sasuke and Naruto's characters ie.

If anyone could just “learn sensor jutsu” and “invent their own form of sensory jutsu”,everyone would have mastered sensor jutsu and use them daily.

There is a fucking reason why sensor type shinobi compared to ninjutsu and/or taijutsu type shinobi are the minority.

Do you see how Tenten doesn’t use sensor jutsu just like she does not use lava release? There is a reason why.

Do you see how Shizune doesn’t use sensor jutsu? Just like she does not use wooden type jutsu? There is a reason why not.

Do you see how Tsunade doesn’t use sensor jutsu? Despite Tsunade being smart and talented and extremely experienced? There is a reason why she doesn’t.

Sasuke needs to stop neglecting his family or come up with a better excuse to do so

Sasuke leaving the village all of the time and not contacting his family for over a decade so that no one attacks his family to get to him is so stupid. At first glance it seems nice that he cares so much, but if you actually think about it, it just doesn’t hold up.

I can see how a letter getting intercepted could be a concern, but I feel like there are ways around it. You can seal the letter shut. You can make the letter coded. You can be purposefully vague. You can teleport it or yourself. You can send it with a shadow clone. You can just send a shadow clone to talk to your family.

If Sasuke is so paranoid of people finding out about his family that he refuses to contact them, why does Sakura and Sarada use the Uchiha name and symbol? Sasuke is known worldwide as the last Uchiha. I don’t think coming to the conclusion that the grown woman that looks nothing like an Uchiha and her daughter that does, who both use the Uchiha name and crest, being the wife and daughter of Sasuke is difficult. Shouldn’t they both be using the Haruno name and symbol?

Who is Sasuke so scared of anyway? He claims that his wife isn’t weak and he knows that Naruto's stuck in the village as Hokage, isn’t he confident they can protect themselves? Does he think Sakura would be neglectful of their daughter? Does he think Naruto would be neglectful of the village? Also, why is Sasuke, seemingly, under the impression that if Sakura and Sarada were attacked or kidnapped, he wouldn’t be able to deal with the situation? He is the second most powerful shinobi in history and he knows it. Maybe he’s worried about Otsutsuki, but Sarada was at least born and old enough to have memories with her father by the time Sasuke had any reason to believe Otsutsuki were a risk. Why wasn’t he at home before that?

I’d like to add that Sasuke also hasn’t been characterized as paranoid or even overprotective before this, so this decision is out of character not only for his sudden disinterest in his family, but also for him abandoning his family because of the risk of them being hurt. If this is all caused by the situation being different because of his feelings or whatever, then why doesn’t the Gaiden or Boruto manga make it clear? If you argue that Sasuke’s feelings are different, then you’re also saying that Kishimoto expects his audience to write his story for him.

If the risk of his family being hurt bothers him so much, why does he have a family to begin with? He never interacts with them, so it isn’t for emotional support provided by or to him. He’s never in Konoha, so it’s not so he has somewhere nice to return to. I doubt it’s for tax benefits. If it’s for his lineage, then why not donate sperm or be in an uncommitted relationship?

Even if this entire excuse made any sense, Sasuke would still be so shitty for abandoning his (potentially pregnant) wife and child in the village before having to be dragged back over a decade later. He comes across as so neglectful and Sakura comes across as having lost all of her self respect because she not only puts up with it, but she actively defends him. Is Sasuke even paying child support?

I don’t know if I’m angrier at Sasuke for leaving, SasuSaku fans for defending or even romanticizing this, or Kishimoto for writing this.

i too am a Shikanaru fan and am watching Naruto for the first time i basicly know most of all the spoils because i had a lot of questions and needed answers when i was watching the og series im on shippuden now and i've just gotten to meet sai but thats not why im here im here because Naruto likes boys in a filler ep he said "ITS A DATE" to a boy and i recorded it because im insane also i will not explain

I love ShikaNaru. It’s probably amongst my Top 5 Naruto ships. Yup. Naruto definitely likes boys.

Oh! By the way, I advise you to stop watching Naruto Shippuden once you get to the episodes where Kakashi and Jiraiya are shown as little kids. I think it’s called Jiraiya & Kakashi.

Because, anything after that sucks. They make ALL the characters OOC and ugly as hell! They also take away all of Naruto’s cuteness both, in looks and personality.

They erase all of his bonds with the other boys except for Sasuke, Gaara and Shikamaru. But, still it isn’t worth watching. I actually watched ALL of Boruto and I hate the show so much!

It’s so, so, so bad! It actually made me hate my straight OTP and my favorite female character. And speaking of Sai?

He’s probably one of the gayest (not gay as in lame. But, as in gay gay.) characters in the anime. He falls for Naruto HARD! And I do mean hard.

That’s why I hate Naruto Gaiden and Boruto so much. They actually make every boy "straight" and specially Sai. They practically erase his entire memories of Naruto and just replace them with fake ones of Ino.

Naruto is the one who converted Sai. Yet, Sai keeps on saying it was Ino. He didn’t even like her. Near the very end of the series. They’re all put to sleep during a war and they’re dreaming about their deepest inner desires.

Sai dreams of being best friends with Naruto and everyone complimenting him on his smile. Naruto even hugs him and tells him that his smile is so cool and that he’s his best friend. Sai is really ecstatic about this and hugs Naruto back as he laughs from happiness.

Umm… after seeing this episode their ship was practically canon. But, everything after Jiraiya’s and Kakashi’s episode just sucks. I think it’s because, Kishimoto didn’t write it himself. Nope. He actually stopped writing after Sasuke’s and Naruto’s last fight.

I’d also advise you to just stop watching after Naruto Shippuden — Road To Ninja Movie. Unless you’re a NaruHina fan. I used to be one but, Boruto made me hate it and Hinata. Because, they make Hinata completely OOC. She acts more like Sakura now. But, much worse.

She actually threatens and scares poor Naruto whenever he’s home. It’s no wonder he’s almost never home and always working in his Hokage office.
