Hi guys,
Every Christmas I am very kindly gifted a new fragrance which I will obsessively use for the following year and this year I was given Ariana Grande Cloud Pink!
Now when it comes to celebrity beauty and fragrance brands we can all be a little cynical about how good they are or worth the money. But I can honestly say that Ariana Grande has made several of my favourite perfumes ever. I don't know if it's her or her team but her brand of fragrances are amazing! While she has a lovely range I tend to lean towards her sweet scented fragrances (I hate vanilla scents) and currently I have 5 of her perfumes and 3 of her fragrance mists I use all this time.
This Christmas I was given Cloud Pink which I was so excited to try because I'm not the biggest fan of the original Cloud scent on me though it smells lush on my friends. It's the odd thing about P.H levels because what smells amazing on you might smell awful on me and vise versa too. Now I am terrible at describing fragrances as we all know by now so here is the information from the Boots website: " blend of ambery woods, magenta moss, and a touch of sweetened praline. The journey begins with a velvety blend of rich berries and sparkling fruit while the delicate floral of vanilla orchid and blush ambrette wrap you in an embrace of feathery, cotton-like clouds. The lasting impression, a warm blend of addictive, skin-sensual musk and amber woods indulge the senses".
Now while this fragrance has hints of vanilla, it is more subtle then her other fragrances which is why I think I like this fragrance so much. I just love how fresh this scent wears on me and reminds me of her BLUSH perfume which is another favourite of mine I got on my birthday. Can we also just take a minute to appreciate the Pink Cloud packaging because her bottles always look so pretty and gorgeous to display in my makeup room.
If you like to shop around celebrity fragrance brands I really recommend you checking out Ariana's collection because she has some beautiful scents in her brand I am obsessed with. As always all products mentioned are linked above.
Lot’s of love

Astrology observations 🧡🐱🍊
Credit goes to my Tumblr blog @astroismypassion
Tumblr media
🧡 Libra Chiron and Chiron in the 7th house native can often attract a partner with a “man child” behaviour. They might go that far to give nickname to their partner, such as “mamma”, “daddy”, “mamacita” etc.
🍊 Saturn in the 7th house people can divorce around the same age as their parents age were when they got a divorce. This native can disconnect emotionally from their partner around the age their parents divorced.
🐱 Why Sun in the 12th house often comes across as a victim is often, because they change the narrative. They present one story and later they change it or present another aspect of it, which people don’t end up accepting and would often accuse the person of trying to portray themselves as a victim.
🧡 Gemini IC or Gemini over the 4th house native: some of your family members tend to have allergies
🍊Libra Moon men inherently have a knack for what women like in partnerships and how they enjoy being seduced. They just have this natural knowing and instinct. They also think that they seem to prefer big romantic gestures (such as picnic) over gifts.
🐱 Saturn over the 2nd house transit: in the middle of the transit you might realize that money and financial stability doesn’t buy you happiness, emotional stability, confidence, optimistic outlook or status.
🧡 Cancer Venus loves the idea of marrying their first crush. Or someone they have known since teenage years or their whole life.
🍊 Capricorn Jupiter ends up marrying someone older than them. Or a bit younger, but often older. Similar Aquarius Jupiter, either someone a lot older or someone younger. Meanwhile, Libra Jupiter often marries someone with the same age, their peer, because they like an equal partner. Gemini Jupiter ends up marrying someone with whom they have 2-3 years age difference.
🐱 Pisces Venus really enjoys reviewing red carpet looks, fashion choices and outfits. They also really like to discuss fashion and they sometimes idealize it. They share this with Taurus Venus as well.
🧡Aries Moons love dance soo much. Even if they just broke up with someone, failed an exam, broke off an engagement, they are like... at least I can still have dance and have fun. They really express their emotion through dancing.
🍊Celebrities who have Libra MC are often known for their perfume. Such as Gabrielle Coco Chanel and perfume Chanel No. 5, which remains one of the best known perfumes of all time around the world.
🐱Taurus Venus women often face remarks of other people about their body, I would say even more so if the woman also has Taurus, Libra or Aries Moon and Scorpio Rising or Rising at a Scorpio degree. Much like in the case of Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez.
🧡 People who have Gemini Moon or Gemini IC: your parents might often criticize your partner.
🍊Virgo MC often perfects their craft to the last detail. Their clothes are really carefully chosen and curated when younger just to have nurture this image of being flawless. But with age, they tend to dress down, show themselves just as their are. Often they grow to understand that what their identity is and who they are (Pisces IC) is already enough on its own. That they don't need to be perfectly dress or put on a performance without any mistakes. Celebrity examples would be Kim Kardashian, who dresses down with age and likes to present herself in a more "natural" light. Also Justin Bieber, who used to plan out all of his performances with perfect dances and clothing. All was well curated for the audience and the public.
🐱Also, when you have Virgo Midheaven you are more likely to SELL something. Like your own perfumes, bracelets, tarot readings, astrology chart readings, your own music, clothing etc. Even if you are working as a waiter since Virgo is related to service, you are selling drinks and food in the end.
🧡 People with Libra MC or Libra over the 10th house might get accused of having a job or a career only because of their spouse or partner. Like "Kanye made Kim" who has Libra over the 10th house. These people can also end up working for their spouse's business.
🍊Composite Pisces Mars or Mars at a Pisces degree (12, 24) can often cause delays in who one person sees things and when the other learns about them. You might write them a love letter or decide to tell them your feelings months in advance. But they don't really know about your intentions and might hear things for the first time much later than you. Or you might plan a birthday surprise months in advance, but your person might only learn about it much later. Or they mention something they like that you have already bought them or plan to give them.

Lolitaland- Lolita Lempicka Review
For my first ever fragrance review, I've decided to start with the one I'm wearing right now. I've always loved the idea of having a "signature scent", the smell people automatically associate with you. Besides the obvious pro of gaining the ability to haunt loved ones with your absence, this concept has always been appealing for a similar reason the TikTok aesthetic of the week is-- that being, it grants a sense of belonging and identity for those of us too indecisive or lazy to imagine our own. I bring the concept up because I would consider Lolitaland to be my signature scent. This dream of peaches and boozy undertones is what the idealized version of myself wears daily (in between pilates classes and coffee with her many affluent friends). She's youthful, but never childish. She's luxurious, but always humble. She's everything I want to be, and this fragrance brings me closer to that image than any other. Where every other fragrance feels like a costume, Lolitaland enhances my natural essence in a way other perfumes have only dreamed of.
Without further ado, the bottle:
Tumblr media
Undeniably the most gorgeous, kitschy, feminine bottle on my shelf. The apple shape, the peach bellini color, the simple, voluptuous design. And the cap. Dear (deer?) God, the cap. The winged fawn rests on top of the bottle, imploring you to come closer. The bottle is unapologetically soft, thus being perfect in representing the girlishness of the scent. She tempts you in the flirty, coquette manner, batting her eyelashes and promising you exactly what you'll get. Lolita Lempicka has some of the most beautiful bottles in the world of perfumery, and Lolitaland is the peak of the summit.
And now, the scent:
The website describes her as "a bold and bewitching fragrance", citing notes of mandarin, white peach, Madagascar vanilla, and jasmine.
Lolitaland is a bewitching fragrance for sure. While many perfumes who boast "complexity" assume they must lean toward heavier, darker (and muskier) scents, she takes the opposite (and in my opinion, more impressive) approach. Bold, she is not. She is subtle, complex, light, and above all, easy to wear. If I were to rank my collection based on agreeability, she will sit with Ariana Grande's Cloud at the safe-to-wear end. She morphs constantly, holding true to her syrupy sweet roots. Every sniff is a new takeaway; she is bewitching in that her presence begs to be studied, and hopefully understood.
Upon first spray, I was greeted by plunging into an unguarded vat of orange syrup. Just falling short of medicinal, the first couple seconds of synthetic plastic give way to a warm, citrussy embrace.
Once it's settled, the cocktail inspiration comes through. Hints of musk and white florals (luckily not overpowering) appear, remaining grounded on a plush bed of vanilla. Perfumes don't last well on me (or I go noseblind quickly), but Lolitaland can easily grant 5 hours of mandarin goodness. This dry-down of boozy musk and jasmine separate her from the other citrus fragrances. She's the same girl who loved orange creamsicles by the boardwalk, but she's a grown woman now, who drinks peach bellinis at an outdoor garden party.
Lolitaland is a woman who embraces her inner adolescent. Instead of masking her nature with patchouli and leather, she enhances her loving, flirty personality. This evolution into adulthood, combined with the preservation of youth, combine to make a truly delectable, fun, and sensual fragrance.
Hope you all enjoyed my first post, and I hope to make many more!

I have a random question. When you reblogged pictures of Anthony Perkins and said they looked like someone named Eddie were you talking about Eddie Kaspbrak? Because I just had a random memory of reading It by Stephen king (my favorite book) were that is mentioned. If not please excuse my randomness. 🤣
It was eddie kaspbrak!! I was in the IT fandom for like two years and I will love him for the rest of my life! And yeah as soon as I thought that I was like oh duh he even said it in the book. I’m glad to meet a fellow Eddie lover!!

I’ve been having a ball using Reddit to find reviews of fragrances. I’ve learned so far…
Ariana Grande makes great perfumes.
Don’t sleep on Bath and Body Works!
BBW actually makes dupes of designer perfumes (I had no idea).
There’s a brand of perfume called “Kayali” that people really like (is it from Huda?).
Victoria’s Secret Bombshell (original scent) usually gets compliments from men.
Knockoff perfumes from pharmacies can be just as good as the designer version!
All that’s left for me to do is buy samples and do testing. I’m really sensitive to scents, though. I’ll get turned off easily. I rarely wear perfume and don’t often find one that doesn’t make me want to vomit after a week of wearing it.
I may come back and make a list of all the brands and scents that were recommended.

you’re on your own, kid is for the girls who were a pity invite to birthday parties by the cool girl’s parents and then eventually stopped being invited to things. for the girls who try too hard planning parties and gatherings and worry about what works for everyone else’s schedules instead of their own. for the girls who really just wanted to fit in but never fit into a particular group. for the girls who still haven’t had a real relationship in the early twenties. for the girls who fear that when they leave the room, they’re the ones being talked about. you’re on your own, kid! you always have been!

Since getting into perfumes and reading a lot of reviews on fragrantica/reddit, I see a lot of people lamenting the fact that so many classic and vintage perfumes with history and depth are being discontinued while the market continues to be over-saturated by sugary sweet, tooth-decaying gourmands and faint, soapy-clean fresh perfumes.
While it is sad to see so many classic perfumes be phased out or turned into a shell of their former selves, I also believe that these kinds of perfumes are not dead or gone forever.
The fragrance industry is subject to trends and change like any other industry. It has fashions and eras just like clothes. The key difference here is that change in fragrance trends happens at a significantly slower rate than that of clothing/visual items.
I believe that part of this is due to the fact that fragrance is closely tied to our collective cultural memory and scent, which is slower to change. Meanwhile we can visually cycle through clothes etc a lot faster because we are only processing things visually. Scent is tied extremely closely to memory, with the part of your brain that processes scent being right alongside the part that handles memory retrieval.
For example, consider what makes Chanel no. 5 unpopular with younger women. It smells ‘old.’ The aldehydes and heavier composition give it a ‘dated’ smell that is challenging for younger women to wear. It makes us think of our grandmothers and older female relatives.
But in 50-60 years, we will be those older women. And the younger generations won’t associate Chanel no. 5 or White Diamonds with old ladies anymore. All of their grandmothers are going to smell like Ariana Grande Cloud, Baccarat Rouge, Not a Perfume, Light Blue, etc. Either sticky-sweet, gooey vanilla and sugar, or a soft soapy musk.
And once that happens? The younger generations are going to want something new, something that distinguishes them from the past generations. All of a sudden Chanel no. 5 and it’s ilk will smell ‘new’ again. And then we’ll be likely to see the comeback of chypres and heavier, powdery scents.
In summary, trends are a cycle and you shouldn’t be too cut up about gourmands/skin-scents having their moment. It’s only a matter of time until we wear them out and new gens come along wanting something ‘new’. It just takes longer for perfume trends to change than clothing trends because there’s a cultural/generational aspect to it—scent memory and familiarity.

Hi! I'm Laura and I chose to take A level Media following the GCSE course that I really enjoyed. I think that being able to decode the media that we see constantly in our lives is an important skill and I would like to be able to use this to help me make more educated decisions in navigating the world.
I love music, so I would say that music videos are my favourite form of media because I love how they are able to add new meaning to a song visually. Some of my favourites are: Survivor - Destiny's child, Spinnin - Madison Beer, She's all I wanna be - Tate McRae, Cardboard box - FLO, No tears left to cry - Ariana Grande.
youtube
I really like this music video because of the way it is able to portray the song's lyrics visually. The video follows the journey of Stella, Jorja and Renee as they enjoy a tropical trip in Greece. The hand held video camera and scenes of the girls having fun conveys the idea of a girls trip which reinforces the lyrics of the song. I like how these scenes are interspersed with clips of dialogue, as this adds to the overall fun atmosphere of the video. The mise-en-scene of the summer clothing, pool and beach also aligns with the lyrics and creates a clear visual image of summertime.
youtube
I think this is a great film trailer and after I saw it for the first time back in March, it influenced me to watch the film itself. I really like the way that the beginning of the trailer instantly engages the audience by utilising scenes with high tension followed by blackout. I love that throughout the trailer, the visual aesthetic of the film is captured, as we see key moments of the storyline including action, beautiful images of the sea life and we are introduced to the main characters. I like the way that the moments of daring action we are shown contrast with the calming scenes of life under the sea. Towards the end of the trailer we hear a snippet of the reimagined 'Part of Your World'. I think it is important that this was included because it gives the viewer a sneak peek of the new soundtrack whilst also reminding the audience of the familiar music from the original animated film.
youtube
I think this advert is very entertaining as it is a humorous continuation of Ariana Grande's 'thank u next' music video, which recreates scenes in reference to the iconic early 2000s films: Mean Girls, Legally Blonde, Bring it on and 13 Going on 30. The original music video caught the attention of many, breaking multiple records including the most watched music video on Youtube within 24 hours with over 55.4 million views and it was the largest Youtube premier ever at the time. I think making the advert an extension of the music video is clever marketing, because those who enjoyed the original video are more likely to watch the perfume advert as it is associated with something they know they enjoyed, also making it more likely that they will purchase the product. The song is also featured in the advert, which was very well received as it currently has over 16 million views with users commenting "If all commercials were like this I would never skip them". Overall I think this advertising was very successful as it includes details of the perfume in a fun way that stands out from other fragrance adverts.
Personally, I enjoy this media website because it shares content that I find interesting, including music and pop culture news. I like the layout of the site because it is clear and easy to navigate with categories at the top to help you find something that interests you.

Schyler Hoard Design Review 6: Package Design
My first examples good package design are the Rare Beauty makeup products. Rare Beauty is a makeup brand founded by Selena Gomez, and is known for how the shape of its products encourage accessible use. Selena Gomez, the founder, has lupus herself and has spoken openly about her desire to create makeup products that are easy to hold and use for application. She cites her experience with lupus as a primary source when looking for inspiration for how to design her packaging. I appreciate Rare Beauty Packaging because it is indeed accessibility friendly, as evidenced by the large, globe like modules as handles on the lids of each makeup product. The brush handles are also larger than average, compared to the normal skinnier makeup brush, which make them easier to hold and use. All in all, the ease of functional use when using Rare Beauty products makes for good package design. I currently use the blushes, which are great!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Though I am a huge fan of Ariana Grande, I must say that her most recent perfume bottle packaging is an example of bad package design. The bottles are meant to be evocative of her mod, 60s spacegirl aesthetic, which make for bottles that are gorgeous to look at but extremely difficult to use. I currently use the one pictured (it's a vanilla scent), and I often have to hold the entire bottle within the palm of my hand and support it on the sides with my fingers while pushing down on the nozzle to spray with my thumb. When I am in a rush, this coordination often proves to be excessive and leaves me dropping the bottle or putting the lid on incorrectly (the unique shape allows the lid to only snap on correctly when you orient it the exact way it is supposed to). Overall, due to issues of coordination and the just the fact that the bottle makes for cute room decor more than functional perfume spray, I would say that this is an example of bad packaging design.
