Thinking about stepson Floyd who spends a few days at home. At first you and his father assumed he was just visiting, but then days turn into weeks and weeks into months. Floyd just doesn't want to leave. Every good thing he could ever want is here. He loves his step-mama to pieces, and even though you and Papa Leech love and dote on Floyd and will always welcome him into his childhood home,,,, he's starting to overstay his welcome. ^^;;; Floyd has his own place, his own bills to pay, his own life to live. You try to suggest in the kindest, most roundabout way that, as much as you love him, he needs to leave. T_T

But Floyd doesn't want to. Why should he when he has you right here? Why should he when he gets to poke around your dirty laundry? Or when he gets to be so close to you, using the same shampoo you do, peeping in at the outline of your silhouette against the shower curtain!!!! Why should he when he gets to have you all to himself when his pops is out of the house?

So, even though you didn't want it to come to this, you and your husband make the decision to kick him out. As much as you care for him, he can't move back in. He's too big to stay in the nest. Floyd acts like he understands. He was being a nuisance; he gets it. He knows how much his old man can nag when people become too pesky. The last thing you see of Floyd is his smile as the door's shut gently in front of him. He took it well. Far more nicely than either of you were expecting.

Or maybe that was just the calm before the storm because weeks later you wake up in your stepson's home, and he's leaning over you from where you're shackled to the bed. "Figured you ought to spend some time with me," Floyd tells you, but his smile is too sharp, his eyes too bright. "You're in my home now, and I'm not gonna kick my mama to the curb."

You try to reason with him. Surely he understands... His brother wasn't like this, so what happened? Floyd scowls at you. Don't compare him to Jade. He's loved you more than Jade ever could, and he'll prove it when his hands start to wander. Family doesn't get closer than this, does it? :)

general thoughts on the wk “our blue and green world” special (for funsies)

they had me in the beginning, by the end they completely lost me tho lolol

!! SPOILER WARNING FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN’T SEEN THE EPISODE YET !!

things i liked:

the intro was!! very good!! loved how they started in space and then gradually zoomed into earth, that was really fun :D

always excited to see how the background of the final shot changes in these specials !!

right away i am so glad they finally color corrected everything i couldn’t stand how bright everything was in season 6 T_T

chris being able to just effortlessly fold his t-shirts into a stack made me laugh lol

i don’t care if anyone says the song sounded flat as hell. the disbelief i had when it first came on. “what is this music what is goin- IS THIS A SONG??” the pure, unadulterated joy i experienced from it. it may be cringe but it has set me free.

idk. i’m just glad to see all these characters back after the hiatus :D

the resplendent quetzal is!! so cool!! so pretty!! i’d love an episode just dedicated to it

saw someone say this already but common aviva W for inventing two creature power discs at once !! it’s her world we are simply all living in it

i think ever since i’ve gotten past the age of. elementary school. martin’s nicknames for animals have been kind of hit-or-miss for me? (though it might just depend on who’s writing the script i dunno) but i liked kablooey!! (kabluey?) it’s a very cute name :D

zach remembered that he has hacker bots he can use (which are. arguably his best invention?? i’m pretty sure?? i get why they don’t use them every single time zach shows up bc that would get old quickly but it establishes that despite being a whiny man-child who couldn’t tell a walrus from a wombat or a wallaby, he can still be a threat to the wk team)

and everyone’s been talking about that so um. let me throw my hat into the ring then.

i can see the intention behind trying to redeem paisley, but it just. doesn’t really match with what’s been established by her character?

the entire special hit me with subsequent punches of “wow this is a kid’s show and i am NOT the target demographic” when they were talking about the water cycle and explaining global warming. so it makes sense, in a sort of wish-fulfillment kind of way that they’d try and redeem the villain whose goal is arguably the most realistic out of the main four.

zach’s main gimmick is using wild animals for his own technology. donita uses wild animals for fashion. gourmand cooks and eats wild animals. yes, the latter two can and do happen in real life (not… really sure about zach’s but that’s not the point). but paisley’s gimmick was never about harming animals, but destroying the environment they live in, in order to build things for humans instead. she’s the kind of person who you’d most likely encounter in real life. redeeming paisley has nothing to do with her character (a businesswoman who finds nature “yucky” as seen in the spirit bear and Asian elephant episodes), instead her general gimmick. wouldn’t it be nice if we could get the people destroying animals’ homes to truly see how beautiful nature can be? so much so that they stop trying to destroy it and instead attempt to help preserve it?

(this is just a personal nitpick but paisley’s new design absolutely is NOT working for me srry)

after i watched the special i had some ideas abt how it potentially could have gone instead?:

don’t redeem paisley at all: again, i get the general idea of why they did this but also. it doesn’t?? line up with her character at all?? the way she was acting in the beginning was fine and perfectly in character for her. she just wants nature out of the way in order to complete her plans, and she has no time for zach being overly concerned with the wild kratts. you could argue that her knowing that dolphins and whales weren’t fish but mammals was foreshadowing to her redemption, but like… paisley’s not dumb?? donita has also corrected zach on not knowing his animals in the past so unless you’re also going to argue for a possible donita redemption in the future then. yeah. i dunno. the other villains didn’t need a redemption to make the special they were in interesting, i don’t see how this one should be any different.

another redemption fake-out, but do it much earlier in the story: i have. my own gripes about how the plot of this special went but we’ll save that for later. have paisley initially be dismissive of the wild kratts’s presence, but once she learns that the kratt brothers are arguing and that aviva, koki, and jimmy are spending all of their time trying to get them to make up, pounce on that opportunity. have her go all over-the-top (like she did in her canon redemption) and trick the wild kratts into thinking she’s turned good, only for her to turn on them in the second half. this might be too similar to “a creature christmas” though. this one would take up more of the plot if that’s any consolation?

give a hint to a paisley redemption arc, but don’t make her do a complete 180 right away: if they’re adamant on redeeming paisley (again, i see the general idea behind this gimmick-wise), then they could still do it and make it fit with her character. remember that paisley’s intentions are not to harm animals, but their environment (which is not any better, making that clear). she can still have her awed-by-coral moment, but maybe. tone it down?? she can have second thoughts about going with the plan, but have zach or rex* encourage her to continue. she steels her resolve, but remembers the coral, and hesitates. and the kratt brothers use that last-minute hesitation to defeat zach’s zachbots and paisley’s pavers. have paisley question why she couldn’t go through with it as she and zach leave madagascar. you could have aviva or one of the other wild kratts theorize that paisley has started to have a change of heart after seeing what nature is capable of, if left to thrive. but again: don’t redeem her right away. hint at it, and then explore it whenever she appears as the main antagonist in an episode of season 7.

*i’m admittedly not caught up on all of wk, but like. did paisley fire rex or something. WHERE WAS HE THIS ENTIRE SPECIAL??

as for the plot point of the kratt brothers fighting… yeah that definitely could have gone better.

(again, minor nitpick but jimmy saying that this was the first time he’s seen the brothers fight,, then implied that it happened every single laundry day,, but also he’s definitely seen them fight before? or had disagreements at least?? isn’t that the premise of at least two different episodes not counting this special. this script is also Not My Favorite. not sure how to explain it but some of the dialogue seems a little awkward?)

ik that the brothers get into danger 24/7 but i feel like. martin should be a little bit concerned that chris was getting squeezed to death by a green anaconda?? like you don’t have to make him overtly worried to the point of apologizing, but you could at least. make him look at chris with concern? i get that the point is that “oh no the brothers are fighting so they won’t help each other when one’s in danger” but. martin your brother is dying STOP SMILING NONCHALANTLY.

the resolution between the brothers was. kind of rushed? all it took was chris complimenting martin (“nice one, bro!”) and then activating some creature powers and then everything was fine. is. is that all it took?

if you liked it then that’s 100% fine !! i’m glad you enjoyed it :D it just wasn’t for me

just my personal preference but i think i would have preferred it if we spent more time with the brothers solo (martin at sea and chris in the rainforest) and have them come to their realizations that the planet needs both blues and greens to thrive separately. like martin sees the planktonic soup and acknowledges that the creatures who live in the ocean need a little green to survive. or chris sees how important rivers are in the amazon and remembers how the rivers will eventually flow into the ocean. and both of the brothers remember their adventures with each other (or aviva, koki, and jimmy remind them). they can still be stubborn and not forgive each other, but i’d like them to at least like. acknowledge each other’s pov and respect it.

or: do something with aviva trying to program two creature power suits at once (the brothers are both in madagascar at this point). like, what if there was a creature power suit malfunction where martin is a blue whale at first, but then turns into an indri. and chris starts our as an indri but then his suit malfunctions and he becomes a blue whale. the bros swap places, with martin going on land and chris going to sea, and then they realize that the other had a point - the land is home to so many wonderful creatures and so are the oceans. and how both are connected and make the earth their home. boom, reconciliation.

also another personal preference thing, i really wish they spent more time with kablooey/kabluey and mambiky (?). i’m here for cool creatures and i wanna see more of the cool creatures !! is that so much to ask for !!

also also. i think the indri-conda was born bc someone saw the pun potential and to that i say. no comment.

i still have. a lot of thoughts but i think i’ll just leave it there for now. ik i criticized it a lot but i did genuinely enjoy the special :D i’m happy to have the brothers back from hiatus and can’t wait to watch the other episodes !!

YO PROPS TO WITCH!!!

Hm, I wonder how Leelathae writes in her diary? I mean, does she write them in just dialogue, or narrative, or what? Either she is writes in dialogue, or she described the witch pretty well for Gwen to recognize who the witch is.

I mean, I didn't expect these ingredients, but sure. Does this imply there's a cemetery near The Pastel Kingdom? Cause Leelathae isn't allowed to be far from home, right? And I doubt she would ask someone to get dirt from cemetery for her...

I wonder what Leelathae plan was? Cause she didn't get the chance to execute it since her portrait was stolen by Leland. Or maybe she did execute it while in the Plaid Kingdom?

I agree with the witch so much. The painters fr did Leelathae dirty 💀

Huh. How does the ingredient turn into a paint-like liquid?? None of the ingredients are liquid based. Maybe the dirt?

This whole spell thing is sick man. It's so dang cool!! I wonder if anyone notices Leelathae sparkling?? I mean, one of the maids has got to notice right?

Also I've never knew there's tea inside snickerdoodles (chai is tea, right?). Well, it's not like I've ever tried snickerdoodles, but last time I read the recipe, I don't remember tea being in the recipe. But that was years ago so it might just be my memory.

Well, the mystery of the portrait is finally solved! And yet there's another mystery.. what writing did Leelathae put behind her portrait? Yes, the diary is one of them, but there are other things too. Like those brown and green papers. I'm guessing it's a message toward her kids?

Ohh, that's why!! Leelathae was glowy because of the spell!

BRUH SO WAS IT LIKE, A MISUNDERSTANDING THIS WHOLE TIME?? I did kinda predict it in my really old post, but I was joking T_T

Something's kinda bothering me about what Leelathae said in her 3rd wish. Why is she only talking about her daughters? What about Jamie? Or is there a hidden meaning that I am not getting here? If someone would enlighten me, that would be nice.

Aw. It's actually pretty sweet when you think about how they didn't even know how to speak to each other at first, but they still fell in love with each other <3

Oh. Oohhh....okay. This doesn't justify what Leland is doing right now, but it sure give a big reason for it. Yikes. Damn. That must've hurt.

Okay okay, let me just remember the past episodes to realize all the causes here.

Leland's parents died due to tragic carriage accident (didn't a carriage accident happen more than once? Tho I can't remember to who besides Leland's parents)

His best friend, Jack, didn't arrive to Leland's parents' funeral, which is the moment he needed him the most (not Jack's fault though, since he was literally stranded in an island)

Leland obviously has a little crush on Jack, which is why it hurts him when he found out Jack brought Leelathae to Pastel Kingdom (again, not Jack's fault). I think this is where he jealousy starts, the point where Leland thinks he has to be better at every love things than Jack.

He overheard Jack saying he didn't need him, which is probably the nail in the coffin for Leland. I mean that monologue Leland has? That's kinda internal mental breakdown right there. (I gotta say, this scenario is kindaaa similar to Gwen overhearing Frederick calls her ugly. I wouldn't say it's the exact same thing of course. It's just the overhearing that makes it similar)

So! Looking at these 4 reasons, it is highly likely that Leland has some problems (no shit sherlock). HEAR ME OUT. I don't know what it is yet. I was thinking of abandonment issues, but I have yet to read much about it, so i'm not sure yet.

HAH! Glad Leelathae decided to haunt his dreams tho!

OH SHIT OH SHIT. NAH LELAND NAHHHH. HE BETTER NOT. ....well at the time i'm writing this the next episode is already out so.. guess we're gonna find out...IN THE NEXT REVIEW!!

Yeah I haven't read the episode yet lol. I bet it's gonna be chaotic though.

“Good morning, angel— Oh, who are you?”

Your body froze as Hotaru's voice echoed in your room. Sanemi shot up a glance at the man who was standing by the doorway, holding a flower for you.

Now all you wanted to happen was to disappear. Never in your life have you wished for your dark past to meet your colourful present. But now it has. And even if you deny it, Sanemi's questions would be inevitable.

"Oh... Y/N, is this the guy who saved you?"

"Yep, that's me. But who are you?"

Before Sanemi could speak, you tugged on his sleeve and told him that you didn't feel so well. With the stress, you felt like you'd throw up. And with that, Sanemi helped you sit, and for a while, the questions were left hanging.

But today's not really your day. As you were holding on to Sanemi, trying to settle down, the door opened again, and there Giyu entered, with an obvious fury in his eyes. You observed Hotaru facing him with his usual expression; Giyu's presence had no effect on him.

Sanemi, on the other hand, was clueless with your mini-reunion; the man focused on helping you sit with his eyes rested on you. But then...

"Why the fuck are you here again?" Giyu said that, which astounded Sanemi. Your boyfriend had never seen Giyu mad at all, even when they were younger, and he was still rude to him. So, seeing him this way now made the white-haired man freeze.

"Nice seeing you again, Tomioka-kun."

"Fuck you."

"Oh, I've eaten too many curses since last night. Right, angel?" Hotaru said, facing you, which definitely concerned Sanemi. Your boyfriend stood up, and with an annoyed expression, he spoke up.

"Why the fuck are you calling my girlfriend 'angel'? Who the heck are you, old man?" Sanemi asked, forgetting all the respect that he had stored in his body.

Hotaru's expression changed from sadness to fury. But he tried his best to compose himself. Not answering Sanemi, he looked at you and placed the flower on the table near him. "I guess there's tonnes of things that I still need to know about you, Y/N. Perhaps six years is really that long, huh? Anyway, I'll go. See you around, angel."

Sanemi and Giyu mirrored each other's angry expressions as Hotaru said that. Your ex bumped Giyu's shoulder before closing the door behind him. But Tomioka did his best to restrain himself from punching him there and then. He loathed the man.

But as you averted your gaze back to Sanemi, you were met by his glare. "What's that?" He said it coldly. Tomioka's expression shifted from anger to worry as he saw you shiver. The ravenette sauntered towards Sanemi and placed his hand on his shoulder.

"I'll tell you everything."

"What do you... oh, you know what's happening?" Realisation hit Sanemi, and there he sighed, and without saying goodbye, he walked out of the room. You wanted to stop him, but you felt all your strength had been stolen from your body.

Tomioka sighed and helped you lie down again. "I'll call a nurse to assist you. I'll just talk to Shinazugawa-san. Don't worry too much, okay?"

You didn't react, but that didn't stop Tomioka from going out of the room and following your boyfriend.

Sanemi was fuming. He doesn't understand what's happening at all. Why in the world would some random guy show up in his girlfriend's room with flowers and call her "angel"? And what's worse is that he thinks Tomioka knows what is happening.

Groaning, Sanemi sat on the bench and face-palmed. He was so mad that he just wanted to leave. But of course, a big part of him still wants to stay with Y/N. He's just very perplexed right now. He needs answers.

And there, Tomioka's voice echoed in the hallway, making Sanemi almost run away. He doesn't want to talk right now, but Giyu is persistent.

"What do you want from me, Tomioka?

Giyu sat beside him and sighed loudly while looking up at the ceiling. "You know, you shouldn't be angry at—"

"Why the fuck would I listen to you?"

"Because I know that Y/N has no fault. She wanted to tell you last night, but she was afraid."

"But tell me what, Tomioka? The fuck is happening?"

Sanemi's nails dug into his palms as he felt the anger inside his body. Giyu then continued to speak calmly, unconcerned with the man's actions.

"That was Y/N's ex."

"WHAT THE FUCK IS HE DOING HERE THEN?" Sanemi stood up from his seat, looking down on Tomioka, who was still staring at the ceiling with his empty eyes.

"He's the one who saved Y/N. My friend hasn't been in contact with him ever since they broke up, Sanemi. So don't go accusing Y/N of cheating. The girl loves you so much."

"But why would she hide it? I can't understand!"

"Sit down, Sanemi; you're making a scene."

"Fuck you."

"Dammit, sit down!"

With Tomioka's voice raised and an angry expression, Sanemi finally sat down with his hands covering his face. He felt like his heart would explode in frustration right now. He didn't speak, so Tomioka took it as an opportunity to tell him what happened.

"So... Y/N met him when she was around 18. They were together for a year. You might still be wondering why Y/N didn't tell you about him. It's because the man had traumatised Y/N. You can never imagine what things she endured—"

"Tell me. I am going to murder that old man."

"Alright then."

You were anxious, and the nurse was worried about you as she fed you. As much as you didn't want to eat, you need to if you want to leave this shithole as soon as possible.

What in the world just happened? Why now? Why would fate betray you like this? You wanted answers as much as you wanted to just run to Sanemi and tell him everything. But still...

I hope he listens to Tomioka-san.

You were mad at yourself for not telling me that Hotaru was here last night and that he was the man who had saved you. You remembered the smile Sanemi had on his face earlier and that enlightening aura that surrounded him when you woke up earlier. He was even joking with you about having a family.

Why does Hotaru need to ruin it all?

Tears ran down your face when the nurse finally left the room. You felt scared that, because of this, Sanemi would break up with you. The thought made you shiver and feel empty and sad.

Sanemi had been the man who enlightened your lonely life, and without him, you'd be who you were before, that same sad Y/N.

You looked at the table and saw the flowers that Hotaru had brought. If you could only easily stand, you would rather light it on fire. You didn't hate roses, but you hated the man who brought them.

You can't stand the audacity on Hotaru's end. Showing his face again to her? Perhaps he even thinks his antics will manipulate you. But no. You are not the same as your naive self. Things have changed, and now you'll make sure that the people who ruined you won't be entering your life anymore.

Lost in your thoughts, you didn't notice that the door had finally opened, and there, when you looked up...

"Sanemi, babe, I'm sorry."

"Sshh, don't cry." He said he was walking towards you to finally embrace you. You didn't have the strength to speak, so he did instead. "Tomioka told me everything. He made me understand, and yes, what he said was true. You were innocent, and you don't deserve to be treated as trash. But, babe, I am not like that old man. I love you so much. You can tell me everything."

"Sanemi..."

"Tomioka feels like he failed to protect you before. So now, both me and him would give you all the protection and love you need."

Sanemi pulled out and stared into your eyes. He wiped the tears on your cheek and kissed you slowly.

"But Sanemi, what did Tomioka tell you?"

You asked once you both pulled out of the passionate kiss.

"I don't want you to relive that—"

"Tell me..."

Sitting on the couch inside his flat, Hotaru looked out the window with empty eyes. He never expected you to be taken. He just wanted to get you back to the point of obsession with your pasts for the last few years.

He wanted you back. And he'll do everything for that to happen.

"The fates will work my way today."

He said this as he slashed the sofa in front of him with his knife.

im so curious, ive been dying to ask you this:

which soulcalibur ships interest you the most? for the canon ones (lol the few that we have), what about them speak to you? for the noncanon ones, where is the potential for them in your eyes?

Okay, this is probably going to be a bit of a mess, but I'll try to keep it concise. Not jinxing it at all. Going off the top of my head... (drum roll)

Canon

Kilik/Xianghua: It's not for nothing that I summed this one up as "complicated, but dammit if I'm not there for the emotional roller-coaster" in this ask from a while back. I don't want to harp on why the way it ended in the old timeline makes sense to me, but again, I'm a sucker for star-crossed lovers. 'Tis better to have loved than to have lost than to never love at all, and all that... Also, I get the feeling that some overlook the fact that Kilik was raised in a Buddhist monastery as something that plays into his decisions.

Li Long/Chie: The accidental tragicomedy of "My girlfriend's a ninja?!", as I like to call it. Li Long started off as a hotheaded assassin who bit off more than he could chew while deep in enemy territory, and would've bled to death if Chie hadn't found him by chance. I like to imagine them gradually bonding as she nurses him back to health... all while hiding the fact that she and her father are fugitive ninjas, of course. (I've thought about these two a lot because I've had a fic languishing in my drive since 2020. Also, Chie's muteness gives me an excuse to practice describing a range of nonverbal cues for just about anything.) Long story short (pun not not intended), he went through hell and back for her... And it all worked out. Since he ends up in the ranks of the Fu-Ma clan during the pre-SC5 timeskip, I like to think he was a good adoptive dad to Natsu. He probably left the demon stuff to Chie and Taki, though.

Not canon (but I can always dream)

Siegfried/Salia: The Schwarzwind side-missions in Libra of Soul were my fuel, especially with Salia keeping the group together long after Siegfried ran off. To me, Siegfried and Salia have the sort of dynamic that writes itself. Close friends, erstwhile partners-in-crime, leader and tactician... What was that line in Siegfried's SC4 prologue? Something about not letting anyone touch his heart?

To be fair, having a child born with latent Soul Edge energy would be a reasonable worry for him. That might be part of it.

Bonus: according to this relationship chart from New Legends of Projects Soul (page 118), Siegfried's mother sees Salia as "a nice girl, too good for her own son"!

And now we enter my self-indulgence zone.

I've been playing around with a (very id-driven) Mitsurugi/Taki scenario and went into crackpot mode to flesh it out. It's an AU partly because I think it would take a lot for Mitsurugi to see Taki as something more than She-who-dares-get-in-my-way... Like, oh I don't know, him jumping at the chance to do some mercenary work, even if it means getting caught up in the Fu-Ma clan's business (and Taki watching him like a hawk the entire time). A fair trade for that shard of Soul Edge he picked up long ago? This is all supposed to diverge from some point after Mitsurugi returns to Japan too late for the Battle of Sekigahara (during the pre-SC5 timeskip). For now it's a bunch of notes and scenes clogging my phone's memo app.

There's just... something about a pair of rivals growing to trust each other enough to show their vulnerable sides, I'll say that much for now. Man, that was a lot of words for what started as my brain going NOW KISS.

i'm currently a college student studying science (and kinda regretting it actually. kids, don't choose a hard major just because you want to 'challenge yourself and your knowledge' and you crave academic validation </3). my big three are cancer, capri & virgo. i'm an introvert who loves spending time alone in her room, away from the social life as my social battery tends to drain quickly. although, whenever i'm around my best friends, i can become quite extroverted and loud. i do try to be nice with everyone but i'm only truly comfortable & only open up to the ones i'm closest with. still then, there's always times when i can't tell even my loved ones everything and i tend to bottle up my feelings a lot.

my best friends say i'm the mum friend of the group because i'm always looking after them and taking care of them, making sure they're not getting into trouble (although i do love to play some pranks or tease them sometimes). i'm also the therapist friend and my friends always come to me for advices but honestly, i don't even follow my own advice sometimes (especially the ones related to love). as the middle child in my family, i've got my fair share of independence and i love this freedom. i'm also a perfectionist-procastinator which is such a pain most of the times. i usually either listen to music or clean around my room & house to relieve myself of stress.

taylor swift has been my idol since i was a baby and i definitely think i'm just a bunch of taylor swift lyrics put together. i also love k-pop & animanga and i'm also a mcu fan as well, with spiderman & iron man as my favourite avengers. my love languages are words of affirmation & acts of services and honestly, i get really happy even at the smallest acts of services & the shortest words of affirmation because they all mean a lot to me. i love tropes like e2l and academic rivals. i adore playing video games and i also love f1 & football. i got into f1 at a young age and the reason was michael schumacher & ferrari. i've been a ferrari girl since then and i also love team papaya as well. an exception also goes to rbr as seb's villain era @ rbr is one of my favourite f1 eras ever.

Well I did give an exam today, just 4 more to go. Today's exam went well, then I went to the senior to borrow his BP apparatus, and I finally saw him today without the surgical mask and scrubs and lawdd 😭😭😭 HES THE SAME GUY FROM THE SENIOR CLASS WHO I HAD A CRUSH ON😭😭😭😭

It's weird that I had to ask his friends about where he was because I didn't know his full name, so I was just describing him as "Oh his name is _, and he topped in this subject a year ago-" and they were like🤨🤨 who???? Is he (full name) and I just shrugged. Anyways, those guys were nice enough to give me tips on the next exams while I waited and then he finally came out holding an old man brief case (guys usually bring backpacks, if they bring anything at all. So, my crush- he's ✨️different✨️)

Lol anyways, he gave me the BP apparatus, I returned to my friends and tried to talk to them without blushing. I thought that was the end of it, but when I came home, he sent me texts.

And like idk if he's just asking convo or if he's interested in me(unlikely because my eyebrows weren't done, but my clothes under the labcoat were cute). On one hand, he asks me about my studies, and I also asked him about his, and then he went on giving me study tips but not like vague types. More like, "oh if you're into artsy stuff and crafts, you'll definitely enjoy this field" and so on.

I'm conflicted because I know most seniors view their immediate juniors asiteral children, like ducklings who have just hatched, at least I do. Idk if he's just watching out for me, or if he's into me.

I'm gonna enjoy the attention while it lasts lol. And also borrow more of his instruments because I ain't wasting more money😭😭😭

This one's a fic about torture! ☺Wei Wuxian manages to diverge Wen Ning's arm in the last second and Jin Zixuan gets 'only' very badly hurt, not murdered. The Jin try to get the seal away from him.

Snippet!

"A-Li is...is waiting for you-," Jin Zixuan’s eyes were filled with intention, determination. ‘A-Li’, huh? The endearment barely registered under the panic spreading in Wei Wuxian’s mind. "Shhh, it's okay. I...shit. I can't help you. You have a strong core, right? Try to...try to direct everything to where the pain is. You over there!" He yelled to the remaining Jin and Lan soldiers, specifically a rather young looking Lan. -Wait, was he not wearing a headband? - Wei Wuxian just hoped that even if they partook in whatever this ambush was, they would still care about their rules and help someone in mortal danger instead of focusing on killing him -or whatever they had come here for, "come here and give him some energy!" He could see the question of 'why don't you do it' on several of their faces, but mostly they looked like they did not dare come closer while he was still there and Wen Ning was struggling against the smoky black bonds holding him down. Okay, yeah, fair, he thought.

Meeting you again

This *cough* is a MerGana fic x'D. I know I'm probably in a very small minority with this ship but I just find their magical push and pull hate-love bond very interesting. In this fic we jump to modern day and Arthur returns. Due to #circumstances, all the other characters from before Arthur's death are also alive again. So we meet Morgan, her best friend Jenny (Gwen), etc. Merlin is of course the only immortal one and the only one with the memory of everything in between...

That was the moment the guy turned around. From the sudden movement, Morgan automatically looked up. His gaze flew over to them and both black haired adults froze on the spot. Recognition flashed in the man's eyes, then -she could have imagined it- something like panic. But he was able to overcome it very quickly. A smile spread across his face and he went over to them. Morgan couldn't stop staring. This couldn't be real. Was this what Jen meant? Why he would be interesting? Those piercing blue eyes, full of things she couldn't put her finger on. Those ears, standing away from the head oddly but looking strangely attractive, not ugly. And his full lips, forming that smile. “Hey, my name's Merlin. Nice to meet you.” It was the exact same man. It was Merlin, the one she so often dreamed about.

my spider-man collection !! + loadssss of my rambling (as per usual) and a calculation of how much it costs cuz @marshber's post had me curious about mine !! :3 a lot of my collection is just gifts from people hehe ^_^ the images r all over the place..

ohh my god it's so blurry T_T anyways,, 11 comics, 4 magazines and 1 omnibus :3 i stopped getting the magazines because uhhh.. i couldn't find them in my co-op anymore aha. also they were kinda pricy i guess.. they had these lil plastic toys sometimes. made me feel bad for some reason lol,, @-@ maybe i'll get some specific one of the website but uh yeah.

i think all my comics feature chameleon hehe ☆(ゝω·)v except the daily bugle one. that was my first !!

my plushes !! i thinkkk the first one i got was the 2nd one. his head is like that because he got lobotomised and had to get stitched back up ! ^_^ his head was still kinda funny looking before that though lol. the one i got after that is the squishmallow !! it was a birthday gift from my friend !! yayayaya it's my favourite of the bunch. very soft (๑•̀ㅁ•́ฅ✧ the b i g head one makes thwip sounds !!

oh and my bed covers !! i love them a lot :]

my figures (ignore the black blob pls >_<‶) + some extra !! that gwen helicopter turns into a motorcycle !! i got it for free :3 it's part of a set i think but i don't have it. the lil spidey is a rubber !! it was a mystery thing. i wanted to get one of the villains,, but i suppose nothing beats good old spidey >_^

i keep shocker and electro in the packaging because umm.. it's easier to store lol. and i would keep the packaging anyway it's nice :3 i still have the packaging for my pins lol and chameleon is forever imprisoned because he's made of lead i think. apparently it's fine but i'm an anxious person lol

i loveeee the feel of mayhem's hair.. and i just really like the pop. prowler's heads broken 😔 he was like that when i first got him. tried to fix him but it just broke again.. maybe it's meant to be o(TωT)o

..and everything else !! (+ stuff that i forgot to put in the others lol)

i wear that spider-man shirt for like everything lol !! with a specific pair of jeans. and spider-man socks :P AND OH WAIT I FORGOT TO PUT MY SPIDER-MAN VANS.. ill put those after this !! :3 there's 2 more pairs of socks but they're in the wash.

my spider-man water bottle is scuffed because it fell out of my bag and spent a day outside o_o

Its 2am and I may have lost control of my life...

Even though Jim was the man that held his heart it wasn't like Kaipa was blind. Every weekend, like clockwork, the two men would have breakfast across the street from his family's stall. As Kaipa would be setting up shop he got to have glimpses of nice eye candy. Especially the man with glasses. He wondered if they were together, it seemed like it. It was a nice thought that Kaipa hoped could one day have with Jim.

In the months he'd been watching them, Kaipa noticed a shift in them in the last month. There seemed to be a strange tension and the less attractive of the two sometimes wouldn't show up or often left early, leaving the glasses man and his food. It was a little sad to watch. Soon it was just the glasses man, and then as of this past weekend... no one. Kaipa wondered about them briefly but didn't expect an answer.

Kaipa was shocked to receive one. He learned their names were Wen and Alan. How he came to this information was because Wen was cheating on Alan with Jim. Jim! Not only was Kaipa heartbroken, he didn't expect Jim would be that kind of person - a homewrecker. It was a blow to his heart. Even on the peripheral of the drama, Kaipa saw and learned enough to be crushed. He had to give up on his love...

Two weeks after most of the drama settled and Kaipa took time to mend his heart, the young man was in for a surprise when he saw Alan again on a weekend morning. It was almost like old times, but nothing was the same again. Instead of entering the small eatery, Alan hesitated before looking around. Kaipa watched as he approached his family's stall instead.

Apprehension gripped Kaipa as Alan sat down and asked, 'are you open?' Trying to play it cool like he didn't know most of what happened to this man's most recent relationship and hadn't watched this scrawny man try to beat up the much more muscular Jim, Kaipa replied with, 'no but I can open a little early just for you.' Kaipa winked in the hopes he came off cheeky and normal sounding. It's hard to when you share something so intimately in common and only one of you knows.

He seemed to have because all Alan did was laugh. Oh no. His smile not only lit up his entire face but there was enough sunshine from it to power a house. Kaipa barely caught his next words, shaken by how cute and handsome this man was. 'Well if you continue to do that every time you've got yourself a regular.' His heart skipped a beat at the thought of seeing him every week so near.

It was a little scary to realize he was developing a crush on Alan, but Kaipa tried to take it as his heart was healing. He would tell the other how they really know each other, but for now... Kaipa would bask in spending so close to the other man and cooking a meal for Alan. Who knows? Maybe this would be the start of something new, something better.

anon i am *screams* wow this was so beautiful and perfect i decided to stay in bed and read this 5 times instead of going into work (I can WFH dnt worry too much lol) the way you came for mix's whole career "the less attractive one" sdfghjhgfdsdfg and then kaipa doesn't even spare alan he's like this scrawny idiot i love him and he's right! this is such a perfect wonderful set up for a bittersweet fic. like i love that moment of joy between them how they are giving each other something to look forward to the next week. and they make that little connection kaipa with his terrible flirting and alan with his sunshine smile (it certainly powers MY house). its so mlc in its vibes, looking for those small moments that makes this shitty life worth living. But then there's this other layer that you know they'll have to deal with - that kaipa knows him, that kaipa knows wen and what happened between them. And I can imagine how for a person who's probably looking for some distance from that and likely a diminished sense of trust - to find out that kaipa kept these things from him. oh my heart T_T kaipa will help alan open his heart once more T_T and i love that he seems a little more balanced in the official trailer than he did in the pilot - i think he shows enough maturity to be actually able to do this instead of the crying mess clinging to jim for a chance.

three ships: I'd say it changes frequently depending on fandom, but currently it's Aruani, Adriennette (all of the love square, really), and Catradora

first ever ship: I'm mostly sure it was Ikuto and Amu from Shugo Chara. Man, that was probably the first anime I actually sat down and watched at like 9 years old and I was already dooming myself with a non-canon ship. That show was a glittery mess, but leave it to me to like the cat-themed "antagonist" with a terrible father/family (that's a reoccurring theme, you'll notice)

last song/album: I very rarelyy do full albums (maybe ts's Midnights counts), but the latest song that's been stuck in my head isn't an official song, but a solo edit of Selena Gomez's Calm Down on yt that I'll listen to on repeat until I can no longer stand it

last movie: The Super Mario Bros! It was nice! they probably spent a fortune on licensing all those songs (might've started crushing on a new princess)

currently reading: ....books or mangas? For books I'm in the Tumblr Book Club of Moby Dick, and enjoying it so far. As for mangas: Spy x Family and Noragami, though I'm behind by like 10-15ish chapters for both and hoping to catch up sometime soon :') (unlikely)

currently watching: While I'm not currently binging anything, I guess you could say I'm keeping up with the latest releases of Miraculous Ladybug (that show better raise it's damn rating bc it's becoming too fucking dark for a 7+ kids show)

currently consuming: Sparkling water bc I've been having bouts of nausea for the past few days

even though Mike and Will are the only st characters i'm using in this au, tbh Will's dad in this one might as well be Lonnie 🙄 either way, he's useless and awful and none of us are sad to see him go

but i'm so glad you're enjoying the writing!! it makes my heart sing knowing that people actually like it T_T and i see things really vividly in my head, so it's always nice to hear that that translates into the writing. i am having a full imax movie experience in my brain, and i want others to have the same lol

ahhh and the line about the amber light!! i really liked that one, so i'm glad you did too :D i think i added "quietly defiant" in my last read-through of it before i posted it, and i'm so glad i did because i really like it T_T

they're both idiots in this story tbh. hopefully the rest of this part will address some of their respective obliviousness heheheh

finally - yes!! i've had an idea for a story that involved a walled city and someone being exiled for so long and have never been able to get my mind fully around it to write it out. i guess this au will be the first iteration of it and we'll see where it goes from there

The Struggle of an Aquarius

In my defense, there have been only TWO Aquarii in the whole Genshin Impact, out of 60+ characters. Beidou and Rosaria. And Rosaria was added almost TWO years ago.

Meanwhile I have to sit here and watch how some signs keep getting several characters in a row or in a very short time span. Some even SHARE birthdays already... Well, of course I would complain in surveys... u_u

Alhaitham is bigger win than I dared to hope. They literally gave us prime adult man of Sumeru.

One day, perhaps, there will even be a nice character on my birthday directly. Someone not old like Hanneman T_T

Idk if it's weird but I suddenly had a brain bloom(positivity folks, no more brain rots but blooms ^_^) and it made me tear up??!! SO basically what if you suddenly heard about a dark experience of your darling's life... like say I originally imagined it as ajax's father telling us about how his son 'claimed' to have fallen into the abyss and is still bitter that no one believes him. And us just internally breaking down that no one, NO ONE believed this man when he needed them the most. Then? If that didn't hit you hard enough, she reminds you of what he had to do to Azdaha, his best friend (shhh let's assume) to save Liyue. When Zhongli meets you later at the tea house, you stare at him for a while and break down. And by break down I mean you can't speak because you're crying so hard. This lone god has had to deal with death and the loneliness it brings so many times and yet he still stood strong and firm for Liyue, his Liyue that he so dearly built and raised himself (? I'm not sure, ig Guizhong also helped?) Once your tears start, they don't stop as your mind keeps getting with the thought of everything this man has had to endure alone, until you came along.

Once you calm down, that is after you take a look at his genuinely concerned face and decide that the poor soul needs an explanation. After explaining he just chuckles and asks to take a walk with you to Pervases Temple. On the way there, he remarks how he never really dwelled on it too much until today because Liyue was always the priority. That is until you came along. Now he just lives in the present allowing the old memories to rough around the edges, clear enough to remember but blurred enough to avoid pain and sadness. And then he takes your hand, brings it up to his chest.

You were kind and compassionate enough to share eons of pain with me in just a mere day so let me share an eternity of joy and prosperity with you for time perpetual.
