It would’ve been really awkward if Jon had just kept running into former Statement givers in public. Like, imagine you’ve spent months dealing with some fucked up eye creature haunting your nightmares to feast upon your fear, but then you spot him at Tesco as he’s pulling out a calculator to figure out which loaf of bread (on sale!) offers the most bread per pound (🍞/£). How would you cope with that?

marc being soo lonely and unpopular is my roman empire. you're telling me he's really just a weird kid with no friends, his best friend is his brother? my heart breaks for him. and he's had so many highs and lows in his career and the only one who Really understands is vale but vale won't talk to him and is also the one who made his loneliness a lot worse? turned everyone and especially the media against him.. vale's kids hate marc even though they're too young to fully grasp their history! vale has sooo much work to do after the reunion... getting his boys to like marc and be nice to him, being there for marc again. getting marc to trust him again! no marc, you don't have to deal with everything all by yourself anymore! something is bothering you? talk to me about it i'm here for you! it'll be so worth it though, can you imagine marc finally coming out of his shell again, comfortable to be himself again, still a bit disbelieving that all of those people are his Friends now? he's not alone anymore?? i think about this daily
i love nice things for marc so it is fun to imagine vale looping him in on his abundance of community and that being very healing for both of them... marc IS a pretty isolated dude as a result of being like. ruthlessly competitive and a prodigy and his crazy schedule etc we've all seen it. that being said. i do wonder about that boy's social skills bc vale has a lot of similar traits/life experiences and has like half the grid convinced he's their daddy.

Harry having the apricots-Dora-peaches of immortality-Dolores Dei visceral trauma response to the cover of the inframaterialism book (even though we have also pointed out it’s abstract kimharry with the green and orange and he doesn’t react to Kim’s orangeness or apricot empire in Suzerainty)
is one of the few scraps of evidence for my fanon birth name for the apocalyptic shrike: Nils Ingerlund

one thing that i think is a really interesting difference between the piano teacher (the book) and the piano teacher (the movie) is that you spend A LOT more time around walter klemmer and in his head in the book than in the movie, and, in doing that, you realize that he’s just as nuts as erika kohut in many ways, but because he’s a young, healthy, conventionally attractive man, he is able to get away with it more than she is (and he KNOWS this and uses it to his advantage.)
on another note, another thing i find FASCINATING about their relationship that comes from this is, in reading klemmer’s internal monologue, you realize that he actually does want to dominate erika (i.e. choose her clothes, force her to share his opinions, “teach” her things (in order to reverse the power she wields by *actually* being his teacher)) before he plans on eventually dropping her, but then, when she expresses her own desire to be sexually dominated by him and elaborates on exactly how she wants him to do it (which DOES actually include having him choose her clothes as well as more....risqué things....) he’s put off and disgusted while at the same time, the book makes a point of saying he’s aroused by it.
i think the point that’s being made here is that klemmer (and i would suspect more than a few men irl as well...) wants to dominate and victimize women under the guise of being a “casanova” in the sensitive “soft boy” mode, but once he encounters a woman who WANTS to be dominated and victimized, he (supposedly) loses interest bc if she WANTS it and sets the terms, she’s really the one in charge and klemmer cannot have that, even if he finds himself aroused by the idea of the acts themselves.

fucked-up fic idea:
Y'know that one hannigram time travel au where they both travelled so far back in time that Will woke up as a 10 year old and Hannibal was able to rescue Mischa??
Well what if:
A) Hannibal was much younger when Mischa died (more like 12), and
B) they had the same age-difference as Mads and Hugh?
That would mean Will waking up, potentially, trapped in his infant body rather than his child body?? and being stuck that way for years until he can grow up again? 😬 And what if Hannibal knew that would probably happen, but did it anyway??

alright alright ik about lesbian veronica and marquis machina, but am i the only insane person reading the shapeless one and machina as exes? after all, the shapeless one says “when you were with me” and “i liked your eyes back then”, and machina’s reaction makes more sense if its one of a spurned ex lover imo
