Agony fought out of survival, but had little to no skill or technique. He had patterns, like any other enemy. 

Once Green knew that, he could pick them out. He allowed himself a smile. 

“You know what the difference is between you and your sword?” Green said, their swords clanging. Sparks shot out to either side, but he didn’t flinch—benefits of working in a forge. 

Agony didn’t answer, just snarled and continued his predictable attack pattern. 

“It’s sharp.” Green countered and slashed, tearing the front of Agony’s shirt and cutting him on his chest, too. He jumped out of the way of Agony’s retaliation swing. 

“And it has a point.” He ducked and blocked, which pushed Agony back a little. “That’s a little cutting, I know, but the truth has a way of piercing.”

I've come to the realization that I've known about mdzs for about 4 months and so far I've been juggling in my head 3 different songxuexiao fic ideas (ones actually not ship fic only about post canon song lan and inner turmoil which we love) and SOMEHOW all of them involve little kids to a certain degree, either raising them or having a group of little ducklings following u everywhere u go.

This is a first and a pattern I wasn't expecting but I guess I'm welcoming it!

I just think that 'animals are living intelligent creatures that have feelings and deserve to be respected' and 'when done properly farming is beneficial to both people and animals and there's nothing wrong with raising and killing animals for food, clothing, and other products' are concepts that very much can and should coexist

#i think a lot of people get too carried away in farming discourse to actually remember both of these things #some people are so aggressively anti-farming that they forget that meat and fur are necessary for some people #and that farming helps prevent overhunting of certain species #but some people are so aggressively pro-farming that they begin to think of animals as objects #that only exist to provide them with a product #animals deserve to be treated with respect and be given the best care possible while they're alive #but that doesn't mean that its a bad thing for them to die
