so many thoughts i want to put into words, but

i realise that i feel more enriched from discussing my ideas with one person that i love than i do potentially showing those ideas to tens of thousand of people

it's relaxing, to feel my ambition shrink, from fighting to try and change governments and sway the beliefs of the internet masses, to only needing to be heard and understood by people that love me back

and to realise i'd rather be accumulating rsi damage on my overwork hand by playing videogame than writing essays for fandom types that think i just gave them permission to write magical eugenics because they didn't want to stop and actually introspect

i know many ppl make amvs in their head as they listen to music but uh. what about making video games in your head as you listen to video game osts...

#i love to listen to video game ost and imagine a gba style cram/p twins investigation/mystery video game #kind of based on AA you have to go around looking for clues to prove that hazchem wants to destroy the swamp (undercover though)#and agent x is the main enemy and it would be so cool and epic #you play as lucien and tony is ur assistant. he is small so he can help you explore smaller areas #you have to collect clues to build your case (to the town officials) that the swamp needs protecting #you can travel through the swamp to look for clues or walk through town and talk to ppl for clues #wayne and wendy would be like mini bosses. they arent your main enemy; they are just in the way lol #the real bosses are the hazchem employees; mr. winkle and agent x #and the battle scense could be like undertale or something. maybe its a bit hodge-podgey but its just my imagination yknow. so shrug.#i get lost into making this silly game in my head as i listen to old videogame osts its so fun #ct posting

okay ik i’ve said a lot already abt my thoughts on how seoul drift is ooo’s most typically 4th gen bg-sounding and least uniquely Onlyoneof track so far and how i wish they didnt go that direction for a title track, but, all of that aside, by god if they didn’t execute it so well by standards of typical 4th gen bg noisy tracks + choreography, bc it rly is such a fun track w interesting layers and vocals, etc, and the choreo has so many interesting points and their performances keep getting better on better, like, the energy, the synchronicity, etc etc etc

also, with regards for it acting as a wrap-up for underground idol, i do feel like it’s a bit more structurally incongruent to ui than i’d like, like i think the mv couldve benefited from a bit more storytelling like the ui mvs, but i also dont think it was ever meant to be, nor do i think it was meant to be, a direct sequel or continuation to the characters in ui, i mean even between ui mvs, they were playing different characters (i.e. kyu playing the teacher in molo/nolo while taeyeob was playing a student vs yolo/kolo), kinda in like an alternate universes type situation, instead of one story, esp since ooo lore and storylines have always been more abt recurring themes in different iterations and contexts rather than continuing one line of lore

and not to engage in like,,extratextual justification or whatever, but i do think tonal dissonance, on some level, can/does serve a purpose, bc like the whole point of seoul drift is that seoul (and loosely by extension other big cities) has a very fast-paced and glittering image that hides the reality of the pain and loneliness that gay youth feel, that feeling of being lost and isolated and wandering, so like part of seoul drift would indeed be abt portraying that fast-paced vibe, in contrast and as an antithesis to the more focused and intimate portrayals of relationships in the ui mvs; whether that dissonance was properly/best executed, i dont Necessarily think so, but i dont think the dissonance itself between the tone of seoul drift vs ui inherently was a bad choice tbh

#ooo #ennuitxt #i have a lot of complex thoughts abt seoul collection bc like #i know ooo can do even more/better #like this isnt nearly as cohesive as for example ip1 #but i also know this is under very different circumstances and in a different context from when ip1 was made #and i think they should indeed have room to explore and experiment and we should also have the room to offer feedback #abt the things we liked and didnt like #and yea when i do set aside the more meta criticisms abt the lore/concept cohesion and how #seoul drift does or doesnt do ooo's signature sound justice #it Is a well executed 4th gen bg track and choreo imo #like i Know im biased bc they're my beloveds but #as a 4th gen bg enjoyer in general (as in i like 4th gen noise music a lot of times i'm not a noise music disliker by any means #so what im abt to say is not just an artifact of being a noice music disliker)#i do feel like w such oversaturation in the industry a lot of times the songs and choreos of this vibe are rly lackluster #like for example #i will not lie while i like n/ct's ay-yo /song/ and i usually like a lot of their choreos #i found the choreo kinda boring and generally lacking cohesion and conviction in performance #but i've actually liked seoul drift both the song and choreo more and more with every stage they've done #so u know #there's definitely smth going right #even if it's not everything we wanted/hoped for #this cb season has been v v busy for me since it was midterms week and then right after it's my break rn so im travelling #so ive just mulling over this slowly in bits and pieces in between the busyness

He half-expected a vest around her, patches sewn to the front, something for cookie sales and best campfire starter. Something for stamps. Nothing. "I grew up with a runaway," Cliff starts wistfully through his cigarette, voice drifting up, so casual as though it were about the weather. "...And she never invited me." It dissapears into the clouds.

He stops patting his pockets, and he turns back down to her, the look in his eyes foggy. With a serenity, he says, “I'm very sorry you feel that way.”

Years ago I was officially banned from watching greys anatomy bc I ripped it apart for all its medical inaccuracies and annoyed my sister and I'm still like 'no my sister says not I'm allowed' when anyone asks if I watch it

#they did what they said was an mri but it was clearly a ct machine on a woman for abdomnial and pelvic pain #and its ofc one of the surgeons or pas doing it idk like they teach how to work either of those things in med school lol #and the woman is. fucking SCREAMING and the guy is just rolling his eyes and telling her its almost over #as if any radiology tech worth anything would ever let that happen. as soon as a pt starts screaming everything stops #and then we find out that the guy didnt even bother to ORDER a hcg test like what??? fire him immediately #that sticks in my head a lot #also it just bugs how the drs always do everything in these shows #never let a doctor collect blood or put an iv in you btw they havent done it in years and youll get poked a lot #also they somehow always have time to fuck between doing literally EVERYTHING

hmm, maybe there's yet a use for my tomestones after all

#reviewing the relic materials for all the anima weapons (if i feel like pursuing that grind in the future) and i can just keep dumping my #tomes into unidentifiable materials that the idyllshire tomestone vendor sells. 4 mats (1 each) for 2 cryst sands. 13 total weapons.#60 sands for 1 weap == 720 sands for all weapons. so i need 360 ct of each unidentifiable mat + 130 of each bc u use them for an earlier #step too. so in total 490 ct for each of the unident material. 490x4=1960 mats from tomevendor. 1960x150 tomes = 294k tomes??#IS THAT RIGHT?? ok whatever atm i have like ~530 total mats so i've spent 530x150= ~79k tomes so far L O L. bc i dont hv anything to spend #tomes on so it's been ez funneling it all into relic mats xD. i already bought all the aether oil i'll ever need + the enchant ink so #i've actually spent like 105k tomes overall LOOOL Hismena must looove me xD. this is over a span of 1-2 years mostly from roulette lol #its not a specific thing i've been working on- its more like 'oop i hit my 2k cap lets go dump it on smth somewhat useful rq' LOL #i've recently started hitting white crafter scrip cap more often from running squadrons bc my lil characters all have some sort of #scrip bonus thats applied when theyre in a specific team makeup and theyve been doing well. so i've been dumping scrips into crafter tokens #which i can ALSO use to buy crystal sand later. so thats helpful. i wont necessarily need to fund everything by tomestones lol #i need to get back into the zodiac atma grind. i've got 30 atma left lol. these ROCKS have been collecting DUST in my inventory over #the past YEAR or so lol #has it been a year?? idk it was either like this past sept/oct or the previous years' lol #actually lmao. getting back on the zodiac grind would solve ALL my hitting-max-cap-on-gil issues now that i think about it... xD
