unnamed appears as though they are between thirty-five and forty-five, they are a werewolf, who is connected to rafeal perez as his ex-pack member. he looks an awful lot like oscar isaac and thinks they may look something like garrett hedlund, diego luna, charlie hunnam, john david washington, daveed diggs, riz ahmed, d.j. cotrona, brie larson, tessa thompson, keke palmer, ming na wen, danai gurira, alicia vikander.

This connection would’ve signed up for the Dog Soldier programme around the same time as Rafael, or perhaps they were already there when he arrived. They would’ve become part of the pack that was formed, under their Alpha named Conor with Rafael serving as second in command. After the ambush that left only 4 of them still alive, the pack disbanded. Rafael did not keep in contact with the other 3 due to the guilt associated with surviving the ambush and not trying harder to stop such a thing. The rest of the character is completely up to muns interpretation.

Title: My Wife is Missing

Author: D.J. Palmer

I finished this book a few days ago and had to sit on it before writing a review. For starters, it was fantastic! The perfect mix of lies, betrayal, paranoia, and suspense. I was on the edge of my seat until the very end! But I didn’t feel I could put into words why this perfect mix worked so well for this story without giving away too much, so I’ll do my best to keep the important details under wraps.

The book begins with Michael taking a trip to NYC with his wife Natalie and their two children, but we only get Michael’s POV initially and soon discover that his wife and children are missing from their hotel room. After viewing security footage, it appears that she left willingly and in a hurry with their kids. But why? The story then progresses with scenes from the past and present, and the reader gets more insight into their marriage problems and Natalie’s struggle with insomnia, which could very well been a source of delusions. But the real question in all of this is: who is telling the truth?

Overall, I thought this was a page-turning suspenseful read and the ending caught me completely off guard. Highly recommend!

Stacking the Shelves is a meme co-hosted by Tynga at Tynga’s Reviews and Marlene at Reading Reality, where you share the books you’ve added to your shelves in the past week. You can include books you buy, books you borrow, review books, gifts, and ebooks.

Last week’s restraint of adding only a single ARC and one purchased book feels like a miracle after this week. This time around, I managed to add eleven books. (Yikes! I better slow down or I’m going to have a huge TBR for 2020.) The genres consisted of romantic suspense, historical fiction (of course), thrillers (including a supernatural thriller), chick lit, dystopia, and history.

I seem to be falling into a pattern of adding World War II books. Three of the novels are set during or just after the war, and the nonfiction history book I added is about a group of people sent to Auschwitz. I previously added other books set in this time period (some are focused on the Holocaust, others are not). I wonder how many book set during the World War II era I’ll read this year?

In other exciting news, I was granted auto-approval status for Kensington Books on Netgalley! I was absolutely thrilled when I received the notification, because I’d been working (and hoping) for this for four years. Even sweeter, they approved one final request of mine before granting the auto-approval, a book I thought I’d missed out on—The Moonshiner’s Daughter by Donna Everhart. That was definitely a happy day for this book blogger!
