set in a dystopian society in a nation suffering from ecological disaster that caused most of the population to bear the brunt of it

i'd love an assertive but goofy muse who's also a bit naive while being capable of casual murder/violence, to go against someone incredibly world-weary and reluctantly living on autopilot, resigned to his circumstances yet still harboring a lot of rage. in spite of bedroom roles, hit me with some trope subversion and characterization beyond those please.

the vibesTM: asking about your favorite candy and your relationship with your family over takeout after an unceremonious bathroom hookup; a bloody kiss after one protects the other; hysterical, broken laughter right before a breakdown during sex (or anything that's supposed to be an intimate and tender moment); tracing scars in fascination with a sense of pride that you're the first/only one to see them; looking at the lights and motions of a city from above and feeling a sense of longing/alienation; whatever emotions you experienced while watching Netflix's Beef.

A + B somehow meet and get attached to each other, forming a genuine connection and feeling something for the first time in years in spite of how it draws scorn from their respective communities. give me flawed people who aren't necessarily out to fix each other that get their own sort of happy ending (happy being subjective here LOL).

B is intrigued by someone as "real" as A, being delighted that A treats them something close to human and is blunt about how they abhor B's standing and what they represent (looks at A with a hint of romanticization of poverty too) while A can't help but find it fascinating that someone who's so removed from regular people and is capable of destruction manages to have such childlike wonder at life. plus, B pays for food.

to some extent, they're both spectators gawking at each other as if the other is some animal in a zoo. they're both also very lonely people aching to feel seen and wanted.

important: my activity levels vary significantly since I kinda work 2 jobs and my main one takes a lot of my energy. if long gaps between replies make you anxious/irritate you or if you prefer fast-paced plots and rapid-fire responses, this probably ain't gonna work tbh--ofc i will try my best to communicate with you when things come up. busy people with loaded schedules that still like writing in their downtime to the front pls🥲

hello there and welcome to my roleplay request thread! my name is josephina but please feel free to call me josie. i am twenty-three years old (she/they) and i've been roleplaying a little over a decade now and i currently live within the est timezone. please note that this roleplay search thread contains a triggering topic; legal age gaps. please refrain from reading further if this topic triggers you.

my reply time/activity level is medium to low at the moment due to my current work schedule. i am an incredibly slow replier and generally enjoy writing with those who are also as slow─ i can, however, promise at least one reply per week though it is usually more.

onto what i'm searching for! (minors dni!)

i am currently on the prowl for a mlw/bxg original small-town romance roleplay featuring a old grumpy man. (bonus points if he's a cowboy) i am searching for writers to play male while i play female. i've been nose-deep in romance books that feature that grumpy/sunshine pairing and i'm truly craving it. though, I'm also completely down for a good ol' masc!golden retriever/fem!black cat dynamic as well.

i have lots of ideas, however, none of them are fully fleshed out and I'm keeping this rather vague on purpose. i'd like to flesh something out together with someone rather than do all the work with the plot. however, one thing i'm really looking for in our pairing are (legal) age gaps. if you're comfortable playing old men, I'd love to talk. (to give an example, some face-claims i adore are josh duhamel, jeffrey dean morgan, hugh jackman, jensen ackles, tom Hhdleston, pedro pascal, and oscar isaac.) i am currently not interested in writing against male characters that are younger than forty. (my character will be late-twenties to early thirties.) if that isn't something you're interested in/comfortable with, i suppose now would be the time to exit my thread.​

i love tropes such as friends to lovers, strangers to lovers, soft rivals/enemies to lovers, grumpy/sunshine, power imbalance, pet names, affairs/cheating (stemmed from abusive or neglectful situations only), hurt/comfort, soulmates, size differences/small woman and large man, experienced/inexperienced, omegaverse tropes/werewolves, widow(er)/new lover.​

i do have some things that i am looking for in a writing partner and just some general conditions when it comes to writing with me so please read them over before messaging me.

please be at least 20+! even if we don't write smut, i'm simply not interested in writing with teenagers and would rather write with folks who are closer to my own age range. thank you!

i write via email, gdocs, or tumblr posts. i'm not very experienced writing on gdocs or tumblr posts, but i'd love to give them a shit because it seems fun! i do not write on discord, please do not ask. (lots bad experiences, i forget i have it, i'll probably accidentally ghost because i rarely use it.)

i can write in first or third pov, but i'm not very picky. i am more experienced in third pov, but again not picky. i typically write a mix of past and present tense, however i can stick to past or present depending on your preference. ( my roleplay responses always have proper capitilization, i just write with a lowercase aesthetic. )

i am an advanced literate writer and my responses typically range from 700-800 words. i am hoping to write with folks who can also meet this standard of length, and description, and maybe even push me to write more. however, i am a firm believer in quality over quantity and there is no reason for long paragraphs of fluff and nonsense just to meet a quota. as long as your replies have substance that pushes the story forward, i'll be happy.

please do not rush me for replies. checking in after a week or so is more than okay, however if you are the type that gets anxious after a day or couple of hours of no response then please steer clear. i have lots of anxiety about being rushed to do tasks and it makes me avoidant and i do not want my writing hobby to become a chore i avoid like the plague. ( things such as "hello??" and "???" are rude and i'll end the roleplay/block for that. )

i am more than happy to add in spicy themes and scenes into the roleplay, and i am typically one to write them out fully rather than fade to black. however, i am a strong believer of build-up and timing and will not force a spicy scene if it doesn't come naturally or pre-planned by us. i ask that you do the same, we can chat more privately about this though.

🌟 Looking for a long-term roleplay partner to do a fantasy plot through e-mail

⚡ I've decided to reach out here on tumblr to try and find a long-term partner to RP with. I can be very picky, so please read through everything before reaching out to me! ⚡

A little bit about me. I am 25 years old, female. I studied creative writing and I am both an avid reader and a hobby writer.

There's practically a whole essay below, so I want to summarize some of the infomation here at the top! 🙈

⚡ Writing: - Literate descriptive writing - Preferably 1st person present or past, or 3rd person past tense - Replies from once a day to twice a week

⚡ Characters - 3 to 8 characters each - Any pairings, love alternative dynamics such as open relatioships, poly and RH - Any fantasy race, any personality, good or villain, idc - Only (new) OC's

⚡ Most wanted tropes (relationships) - Age gap - Arranged marriage - Touch her and die! - Fated mates - Enemies/rivals to lovers

I love open-world RPG games, with Dragon Age: Inqusition being my all-time favourite. The option to explore the world, get to know the companions and affect the outcome of the world feels a lot like the freedom of writing.

I would love to explore a big fantasy concept with a potential partner. As of right now, I am especially interested in two types of concepts.

⚡ Something inspired by Dragon Age or similar (such as DnD, Baldur's Gate), with any or all of the following tropes/elements: - Found family - Quest - Magic - Romance - Party of companions - Age gap - Taverns, travelling - Only one bed/horse - Large overarching plot - Chosen one

⚡ Something set in either a fae court or other type of fantasy court situation, with any or all of the following tropes/elements: - Found family - Arranged marriage - Age gap - Forbidden romance - Magic - Seelie/Unseelie - Lesser fae/high fae - Bodyguard

First off, since this may be a dealbreaker, I want to stress that I absolutely require that we each play more than one character! To me, making an interesting and engaging story requires several characters to keep the plot moving and develop relationships. Not every character has to be a main, but I want us both to add characters as fitted while the story moves along. Some characters will be inactive most of time time, but still needed at certain times.

Preferably, we would have 3-4 pairings (3-8 main characters each), as well as "side characters." These sides can be either friends, family, rivals, a guard - you name it - and they don't have to be fully developed.

I do want to ask that you take the time to come up with new characters fitting the plot and world, and not recycle existing OCs that you have written before or fully developed a storyline for.

Another must for me is romance. I want multiple romantic pairings and for the romance to be central to the plot. I prefer a mixture between NSFW and fade to black, depending on my own mood and the storyline. In terms of NSFW, I have very few hard no's, mostly just toilet and blood play.

In terms of characters, I expect you to be comfortable with using faceclaims (real models or artwork). I love writing characters with flaws and morally grey personalities, as well as kind and sweet characters (cinnamon buns!). Alpha males are not my strongest suit even if I love trying, so if you're only looking for those characters for your own subs, then we are probably not a good match.

I write a range of characters and like to keep the ratio of male to female equal. For these fantasy plots, I would be happy to play anything from a high/lesser fae, human, halfling, shifter etc. I am especially itching to play a male half orc character as one of my mains.

I want the roleplay to feel literate, with long replies and discriptive language, but I won't set a limit on paragraps. I'll try to match length, and hope you'll do the same. In terms of replies, you can expect a reply from me anywhere between once a day to twice a week.

I hope to find a partner that doesn't easily get triggered. I don't want to tiptoe around the plot to avoid triggers. 

While the RP develops, please tell me if something isn't working for you. If you think we're a good match writing wise, but a character/plot/couple isn't working for you, I am super flexible to change things up. Finding a new partner is way more difficult!  I would feel really bad if you leave the RP just because you don't like a character of mine, but you didn't give me a heads-up to change or drop the character.

But, if you don't think we're a good fit at all, that's okay too! Just let me know so I can move on.

Here's the rough idea of what you would be going into for this roleplay.

You control a house of people. That can be a family, a house of roomates, a party. Anything, i will leave that up to you. My character will arrive as a roommate, staff, invited in the party etc. and will assume full control under threat or action of harm / blackmail all sorts.

Hi! 20+f looking to do a OcxCanon ship in Honkai Star Rail! (More specifically my OcxWelt!)

Though I don't play the game at the moment, I've been watching videos, reading up on the lore, making fanart and been obsessed since! I'd love for us to possibly chat ooc about it, and even share headcanons, and/or art!

- Please be 18+. No minors allowed.

- NSFW is a must please! I'm also okay with certain dark themes, but I prefer to discuss these privately

- Semi-literate. With a length of about 3 phone paragraphs. But ofc, the more the better! It's just that three is the limit in order for me to work with.

- With the game being so new, the plot/theme can either be canon, canon divergent, or an Au. I'm willing to do which ever!

- I'm quite patient with responses for I know people do have lives outside of rping (As do I). But please let's try to communicate if we're gonna be busy and unable to respond for awhile. I usually give my partner a week before I try to reach out and make sure things are okay. If things just aren't working anymore, don't hesitate to tell me! I won't get offended!
