It's Pokemon Day, so I'm finally getting around to posting this PokeExchange 2023 (@secretstantler) piece I did for Flufferdoodle (AO3) on here as well!

The prompt was about Maylene trying to tough out the Snowpoint City cold like Candice can, even though she Really Really can't... After reading that, I wondered if Candice might carry that jacket around her waist around for something other than fashion, and this comic is what came out!

Can I have Glistenshipping(Candice x Maylene) headcanons?

Sure can!

Candice occasionally makes “when I was your age” jokes with Maylene despite only being a year older. While Maylene pretends she hates them, a lot of the time she actually finds them hilarious.

The two are usually very busy with gym leader duties, and have a long-distance relationship, but they try to check in and see how the other is doing once a day, just to keep in touch.

Candice’s skin is usually cool to the touch thanks to being in cold temperatures and around ice-types so often, so Maylene really likes hugging her and holding her hand during the summer months.

Maylene often walks all the way to Snowpoint City, and she’s surprisingly used to the cold as well. Candice is kinda flattered that she walks all that way to see her, even though Maylene tries to pass it off as “training.”

Both of them love listening to the other talk about her interests, even if those interests aren’t shared. In fact, that almost makes it more interesting, since that means they’re learning about something new.
