Some photoshopped NEO Joshuas and some Composer versions cause I was feeling rusty. Plus some before and after gifs cause it was cool seeing the changes.

The Composer versions are actual redraws but for the human forms I just drew on top of the anime screenshots cause I was feeling lazy and wanted to try and keep the anime feel. I thought it might be easier but honestly I don't think it was because of the gradients they use on top.

Tagging @rainbow-nijisaki and @black-quadrant since apparently we were all thinking of anime NEO Joshua about the same time. I was doing Composer form redraws from anime screenshots when the redraws were first posted by rainbow-nijisaki, (so if you like these and you haven't seen those ones, please go check them out!) which inspired me to try some human NEO Joshuas. I guess we had anime related Joshuas on the mind!

the struggle between not wanting to buy industry food super market garbage but having anxiety on the weekly market because you actually have to talk to people

i'm so glad once my garden is finished so i can have my own veggies, fruits and herbs

Guess I'm reading "A Snapping Sound" again.

#danny phantom #a snapping sound #so good #I hope the author succeeds in getting it published as a book and it becomes a best seller #because holy heck I love it #and they are great at writing #and it would be great to have a physical copy for when I go to the cabin #because it is the middle of nowhere and internet and cell service is a myth #an audiobook for said travel to said cabin would be great #look I am from a small town and this cabin is in an even smaller town #we are talking 40 minutes away from the closest grocery store and the town only has 1 stop light level of small #great uncle owns half the town including acres of forest level small #most of the town got taken out by a single tornado a bit ago level small #the only interesting thing is the cemetery with graves back to the 1800s #what I am saying is this is 100% something I want to read in fall surrounded by trees in a closed down historic cemetery alone #because I can only imagine how wrong that would feel #like the levels of something is wrong here I get when I read this book would 100% be amplified by doinf that #maybe at night #i want the uneasy oh no feeling to evolve into all consuming dread and fear as I walk back #while hoping that a cougar or bear does not decide to eat mw #the fun part is there are multiple snapping sounds the titlw could refer to #and this is a much more tragic read when you read it again knowing what you know #kinda like how we find out about his car AFTER the junkyard scene #or the realization of historical events around the time paired with his interests #boy missed out on so much #i mean I had a feeling regarding some of those scenes knowing what I know from source material #but it still hits different

Still thinking about how the coven head battle remains my favorite scene to this day.

Eberwolf immediately reacting when things go south, ready for the kill or maiming. There was absolutely zero hesitation, they would have done so without any regret.

They were going straight for Terra, but she's not even flinching. She remains exactly in position while Graye is like "oh shit" but Mason reacted just as quick as Eberwolf, smashing his hammer towards them.

But is Eberwolf getting smashed away? Nope, they manage to grab onto the hammer just in time, holding tightly onto it. When they come to an halt, Eberwolf handles the situation swiftly again, summoning their flesh eating beetles which covers the arm that is holding the hammer. It doesn't stop there, no, they jump onto his head, while also pressing their claws on it.

Mason can't even react properly anymore at this point, his face now covered by the flesh eating beetles as well. He drops the hammer and Eberwolf also managed to bring him to his knees. In just a few seconds, this little witch managed to bring down someone who was taller than themself.

Nobody, at this point is helping and that's the funny thing about it. Graye is just watching this in shock (valid), Terra is still holding Eda and the rest is also just watching.

Vitimir only reacts when the hammer is dropped and rushes to help Mason. Darius, watched this completely unfazed. It does make sense given how close they are. He knows exactly what his friend is capable of and has likely seen Eber feral more than one time. Just the "oh, for titans sake." before going after Vitimir to stop them from getting Eber.

He tries his toxic breath on Darius, but he is quick to dodge the attack and just cut his hat off. Darius kinda did him a favor there considering he bumped against something earlier with it. Hat's too large.

Eberwolf, in the meanwhile is focused on keeping Mason on his knees. They are entirely only focused on him now, to a point where they forgot their other surroundings, so Osran was able to snatch them and smash them onto the ground.

They gasp and it brings Darius's attention. The wide eyes when he sees what's happening to Eberwolf, the angry face as he rushes over but with a smirk, Hettie is just going to hold a knife towards Eberwolf's throat. Darius expression when he sees that and surrenders instantly, no questions asked.

It's the fact that Hettie knew what would get Darius to comply with them. It's the fact that Eber and Darius genuinely care for each other. It's the fact that they would have died either way if the draining spell had succeeded but Darius wasn't going to take his chances or sacrifice Eber. He didn't had to think twice about this.

It does make me sad that we never saw more of the coven heads so we could have seen more of their powers.
