Drawn to Life: Two Realms introduced many human characters - grouped together as "Townspeople" by 505 Games - and all of them were based of the designs of the Raposa cast. As seen in the chart above, created by "guythatexists" on Discord, we can see the list of connections based solely on sprite-work, with unused characters tinted red.
Notably, Pouches and Gary had their counterparts removed from the game - an unnamed child and Rocko respectively - while the Hooded Raposa and Mike do not seem to have a counterpart. Other notably cut characters include Heather's Raposa form and Samuel.
The three sets of characters who are completely tinted red were not found in the files of the game, but rather in a sheet of all the Raposa sprites made for the game, published by Chern Fai on their Twitter (@cocefi).

Drawn to Life: Mario Party Edition (DS)
Tumblr media
Round One
(Last Chapter)
(Also Available on ao3)
💸
After a quick loading screen, a bird's eye view of the board appeared on everyone's devices. The board was a giant pinball machine. It was dark, but with many bright neon colors and flashing lights. Parts of the board looked like it was ripped straight from a casino.
Grinning, Wilfre could hardly contain his excitement. 'It looks just how I wanted that wasteland to be!'
The other three players looked up from their screens at Wilfre. His tail wagged violently. But none of them dared to bring it up and ruin his mysterious intimidating aura.
Then came the time to roll the dice.
"Okay, uh…" Mike, trying to redirect attention to the game, began to explain. "This is what will decide the turn order. Highest number goes first. Everyone ready?"
The Raposa nodded and pressed their buttons.
Jowee rolled a six.
Mike rolled a three.
Wilfre rolled a one, which made Jowee laugh.
Wilfre's grin fell and his tail stopped.
After glaring at Jowee, Mari rolled a nine.
"Woah! Nice roll, Mari!" Jowee complimented.
Mari sheepishly smiled. "Thanks, Jowee."
"Looks like you'll be going first, Mari!" Mike added.
Wilfre grumbled to himself.
Mari shrugged to the group.
After receiving ten coins each, the first star appeared at the top segment of the board.
"Alright, before we get started, do you guys want me to explain how things work?" Mike asked. "Or would you rather go into it blind?"
"Ooh! Don't tell us anything! I wanna see it all firsthand!" Jowee exclaimed.
"Mm, I dunno... I really think I'd rather know what I was doing..." Mari interjected.
"Oh." Mike looked at the two, stumped. "Looks like we're tied, huh."
*ahem!* Wilfre cleared his throat.
"O-Oh. Uh, right!" Mike's skin crawled. "W-What do you think? Uh-"
"Wilfre."
"Y-Yeah, that's it... What do you want?"
"What I want is to get straight to the game. Seems simple enough to figure out."
"O-Oh. Okay well uh.. Guess we're going straight into it."
"Wait a minute, what about Mari?" Jowee argued. "She's going first! Shouldn't she choose?"
"Oh. Well, that's a good point."
Wilfre rolled his eyes under his hood and impatiently groaned.
They ignored Wilfre as their attention turned to Mari. "Well, Mari?" Mike asked.
"Uhh," Her gaze turned to Jowee, who gave her a reassuring smile. Then she turned to an annoyed Wilfre. "Um," She turned to Mike. "I guess I'll be fine without an explanation."
Jowee's gaze saddened.
"Alright then. Go ahead and roll. But if you change your mind, let me know, okay?"
Mari nodded and rolled a five. She moved straight ahead until she got under an archway. "Tap the spinner, see if you're a winner," she read aloud. She pressed a button. Mario cried 'Oh no' as she didn't win.
Moving on, she landed on a friendship space. "What's this?" She was prompted to choose a player to share coins with. "Choose a friend, huh?" She selected Jowee. They both received five coins. "This is for you, friend!"
Jowee perked up and grinned. "Aw, why thank you friend!" His cheeks turned pink.
Wilfre shook his head. 'These two better not be like this the entire time.'
Then came Jowee's turn. His tail wagging, he rolled an eight. "Nice!" He followed Mari through the jackpot archway, and passed by her. Picking up a hex along the way, Jowee had the star in his sights. "I'm gonna get it before you, Mari!" He teased.
"Nuh uh! You're short by two spaces!"
"Well, I'm still closer than you!" Jowee turned to the path of the star and landed on a red space, which made him lose three coins. "Aw, what!? That's not fair!"
Mari giggled.
'God, if he's saying that about a red space, how the heck is he gonna react to everything else?!' Mike rolled a five. But instead of heading toward the archway, he turned left. 'If I go this way, I'll go in the shop next turn. Besides, one of them will probably get the star by the time I get there anyway.' Mike landed on a blue space, gaining three coins.
Then came Wilfre's turn. After looking over the board, he rolled a nine.
"Uh, nice roll!" Mike complimented.
Wilfre nodded. Following Mike, he turned left. Passing by him, Wilfre entered the shop and carefully browsed before buying a double dice for three coins.
Jowee glared at Wilfre. 'He pressured Mari because he was impatient to sit in the shop for a bazillion years??'
After leaving the shop, Wilfre landed on a green space. A flipper whammed against Daisy, making her soar up into the air toward the top of the board. And as soon as she went up, she came crashing down directly onto a bumper.
Jowee couldn't help but laugh a little. 'Serves him right!'
After the fall, the bumper awarded Wilfre with ten coins.
"WHAT!?" Jowee's mood instantly took a turn.
"Whoa! That's a lot of coins!" Mari noted.
"Oh, yeah, that's what those green spaces by the flippers do." Mike explained.
"That's not fair!!" Jowee complained.
Mike shrugged. "That's just how Mario Party is, sorry." 'Oh God no, what horrible mistake did I just make?"
Then came time for the minigame.
"Okay! Minigame time!" Mike redirected. "This is the main way to get coins."
Mario and Daisy's icons changed to blue and red respectively.
"Oh. Looks like this will be a two versus two game."
The game roulette rolled through four of the minigames to choose.
"Two versus two? You mean two of us against the other two?" Mari asked. "Who?"
"Uhh, you'll see."
The game picked a minigame called Hanger Management. Where the players ride a hanger on a wire, and each team cooperates to get to the end first. And the teams were..
"Me and Mari versus Jowee and Wilfre..."
Jowee looked down at his game, distraught.
"Aw, I'm sorry Jowee," Mari patted his back. "Maybe we'll team up next round, friend!"
"Yeah... Thanks, friend." He looked over to Wilfre, who was glaring at him underneath his hood.
"You better keep up."
Jowee sunk into his scarf. "Y-yeah."
Mike looked at the two before pulling Mari aside. "...Are you sure that guy is good now?"
"Um, yeah. Wilfre is just uh. Readjusting to things," She paused. "Jowee will be okay. Yeah." She nodded, reassuring herself.
"Okay," Mike said, unconvinced. "And don't worry about the minigame. I know this game like the back of my hand." He boasted.
"Uh, thanks"
The game started. Both teams got up to a rough start. "Left! No, Right! Your other Left!"
But after a second, Mari saw what Mike was doing and quickly picked up on what to do. Balancing evenly on their hanger, they started going much faster.
"Yeah! That's it!" Mike cheered.
Meanwhile, Wilfre and Jowee continued at a screechingly slow pace. "Watch out for the-" Jowee winced. "-Pole."
"You Baki, we're stuck! Move to the left!" Wilfre snapped.
"What!? You're the one who got us stuck!"
Wilfre and Jowee continued to argue, constantly bumping into things. And as a result of their poor communication, they lost.
Toad and Mario jumped and cheered, as they won. They were both awarded with ten coins.
"Nice work, teammate!" Mike complimented.
"Ah, thanks!"
"Hey Mari, good game!" Jowee shook her hand.
"Good game, Jowee!"
Wilfre stared at the other three, irritated. But, wanting to save face, he took a breath and nodded. "Yes, good work. But it isn't over yet," He looked down at his screen to see Mari had taken first place. "Not even close."

tell us your samuel headcanon !! 👁️👁️
Okay okay so as I said I like to think that Samuel is part of a religion that worships both the Creator and Deadwood as deities. Though Deadwood is respected by many Raposa, most don't view him as a deity and only worship the Creator as such.
I think I first came up with this headcanon because 1. Deadwood seems to be friendly and was only corrupted by shadows, 2. Samuel is rescued in that battle and generally hangs out in the forest and 3. he's one of my favourite villagers and I need to put hcs on him to make him more relevant.
I haven't thought deep into this yet, but Samuel's cloak/hood holds some significance in his religion. Raposa who are part of this religion view forests as spiritual places and greatly respect them. The reason for this is because they believe that Raposa who have died will be redrawn by the Creator as a tree and be reborn as one. Because of this, Samuel wishes to be buried in the Village forest once he dies. Deadwood is sort of the Grim Reaper of this belief. He guides the souls of the dead to their new life as a tree and protects the woods. He also has, similarly to the Creation Hero, a close connection to the Creator.
I think this can somehow be tied into the hero being a wooden manequin but I still havent worked out how wood products work for these Raposa? They probably barely have any and if they do, they avoid wood that was taken from forest trees. I still gotta figure that one out.
unrelated, non-religious Samuel hcs under cut because I care him and wanna ramble more about him
- he's agender because I'm agender and I say so. maybe aroace too.
- he thinks Bakis are cute but is allergic to them
- him and Navy J are introvert/extrovert friendship solidarity
- he lives in a house in the forest close to the observatory
- he enjoys listening to Galileo ramble about astrology whenever he goes there
- this man owns so many flowers he's living that cottage core life

A Drawn To Life AU, that’s more like a thought experiment. It only plays into DTL1, so anything beyond that, I don’t have answers for. The gist is that Drew and Wilfre’s roles are swapped.
I’m deciding to call it, “Drawn Out Of Control”.
To explain:
The Mayor takes Wilfre’s challenging views on creation seriously, and asks the Creator for guidance. Drew is created as a chaperone, to ensure Wilfre doesn’t do anything reckless.
The two end up becoming good friends, despite Wilfre’s own, one-sided rocky start. One night, however, a discussion about drawing in the Book of Life is aired out.
Drew offers to try first.
The Book is taken to Wilfre’s home, but what was meant to be a simple flower turned into a color-dripping monstrosity. It almost kills Drew, who blamed the Creator for not helping him at his most dire.
Please note that Drew here is a Creation Chaperone, not a Hero. Due to this, the concept of lives and dying was an unknown. As for Wilfre, he was pushed outside before he could be harmed.
In fury, the actions at the bridge occur, but Drew is the one tearing out the pages of the Book of Life. It takes the Mayor, Cricket, and Wilfre combined to tousle the Book away from Drew, who flees into the night. He’s been considered missing ever since.
Like before, the Creator seals off Creation Hall in grief, and goes silent on the villagers. The creations disappear with time. As for Wilfre, he takes responsibility for what transpired, and has since been serving a life sentence of village arrest. His views have not changed, but has realized that his method was the worst way to go about proving his point.
A few villagers refuse to believe Wilfre would ever do anything so heinous, while others chastise him. Regardless, most of the well-meaning adults tell their children, once they have them, to not talk to him.
The game portion of information will be under the cut.
At first, the events of the game play out like it normally would’ve. The first big difference is that, it’s colorful, vapor clouds that start covering up the village, rather than darkness. The second is that, since the cause of this is the long-lost Creation Chaperone, there’s no Hero for this task.
In an odd decision upon the Creator’s part, Wilfre is chosen for it instead. In place of the world gate-centric guns and eventual Legendary Sword, he is entrusted in the color draining paintbrush scepter. He is told that it can do as such, but should only in areas where “color is in excess”.
And the Creator was not exaggerating.
Meanwhile, Mari and Jowee are wary of such... Risky choices being made, but ultimately go with their wishes.
On the bridge, it’s here when Drew greets them, now completely covered in pure color. He isn’t happy about not being known or remembered:
Tumblr media
And in the end, covers the bridge in the prisma vapor. Wilfre can’t get rid of them due to its lack of solidity.
Wilfre promises to tell the others everything he knows, once they’ve saved the Mayor.
The story continues without much other differences for a while, other than Wilfre’s sentence being temporarily lifted until everything is fixed, though it’s unspoken. Something he discovers, is how the siphoned color works - as a power source, it makes him more capable of handling these physical situations. He can also fire the collected color at foes!
The rest of the storyline, such as the Mari and Jowee arc, remain the same. Heather is a strange addition, Zsasha causes his thievery ruckus, the festival happens (though Wilfre is not called to the stage; Navy J still promises to write him a song for rescuing him), the same Raposa are saved, Mari is unsure about herself over inheriting Mayor-hood, everyone wonders what’s going on with Mike, the works. The only difference being, Wilfre is convinced that Mari will do fine.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Periodically, Drew would reappear to inform about the impending boss fights. He dramatically laments that he really misses how Wilfre was, when he was so passionate to make his voice heard, to show everyone how things could be.
It eventually turns to a proposal of joining his side of the fight, that Wilfre is above the rest of the Raposa, and that together, they could reshape the world the way they want it to look.
Wilfre refuses. Times have changed him, and he would rather instill change through steady commitment of indirect, but mindful, influence. It would surely catch on, with time.
Drew then remarks:
Tumblr media
After many levels, bosses, and somewhat questionable Raposa rescues, the final showdown is nearing. It is then that the Creator informs Wilfre and the Mayor that the only way to stand against Drew is by emitting a beam of color from the scepter. By this point, Wilfre’s collected more than enough for that feat.
While Wilfre is away at Rapo Towers, Drew comes along and takes away the Book of Life from the Mayor, who was looking for Mari. With all the pages added back, he manifests a weapon to kill the Mayor.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The scene of the Mayor’s passing plays out very similarly, though Mari has no one to lash out at for not protecting her dad. So instead, she does so, at herself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As creations start to dissipate, Wilfre catches on that it’s Drew’s doing. Scepter in hand, he goes through the secret fifth door, to Drew’s hideout. Compared to how Wilfre’s was dark and bleak, Drew’s is rather inviting and pleasant, but clearly still things weren’t quite right.
Drew doesn’t have a “friend” to have fight Wilfre, when the two are face-to-face. Instead, he’s using the Book of Life to pop in more creations from it like a sticker book. He flies on wings, throws Legendary Swords, and drops meteors. All Wilfre is able to do at this point is drain away all the excess color covering Drew, until his normal form remains.
Despite this, Wilfre is unable to talk him out of his madness, and fires the color beam. It shoots the Creation Chaperone out of the air, and he’s reduced to an unmoving, featureless mannequin on the ground within seconds.
“HE MIGHT COME BACK. REMOVE THE REST OF HIS COLOR.”
Tumblr media
“IT MUST BE DONE. PLEASE, WILFRE; DO IT.”
With a heavy heart, Wilfre obliges.
Tumblr media
The remaining excess color has evaporated, along with the rest of the prisma vapor clouds surrounding the village. The creations have returned, and the villagers rejoice. While still quite upset from what he had to do, Wilfre feigns pride and happiness to not draw suspicion.
In a moment of thought about the mayoral tradition of signing names, Mari decides that the Creator should sign theirs, as per usual. Then, one of Mari’s first acts as Mayor is to overturn Wilfre’s life sentence permanently.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wilfre is baffled, but grateful. He decides to hitch a ride with Pirate Beard and Indee, to travel the world “one last time”. He knows he’s going to reach his elderly years soon, so he figures that it’s time to make the most of it while he still can.
This Is Not The End has the same memories and set-up, but of course the protagonist and antagonist roles for Drew and Wilfre are swapped. Jowee bails on joining the trip, like before. He and Mari stay in the Village, while Wilfre and the other aforementioned depart. The story closes here.
Thank you for reading to the end!

Drawn to Life: Two Realms thoughts
Finished Two Realms! Here is my thoughts
Spoilers ahead
So, right off the bat it’s obvious that this is NOT goong to live up to the first two, and that’s ok. I’ll try not to be too harsh keeping that in mind but I’m still a little disappointed regardless.
First, unlike the first 2 games, the character creation is... well it stinks. You no longer have to flexibility that the ds screen and stylus provided in the predecessors, but they try to make up for it with the cute stickers they give you! Abd I wish they had given us all those color options in the first two. That’d have been fun, but ahead of its time for sure. Unfortunately, that’s where a lot of the charm of the gameplay cane from in the predecessors, being able to get really creative. The disadvantange of not having a touch screen really plays against that aspect of the game. Thats ok, we make do
Second, and this is a personal thing, I don’t like that it’s puzzle based. My brain just isn’t built for it and it honestly frustrated me the entire way through. At some point, I eventually started getting angry at every level I played. It kind of lost the fun at some point just because I kept getting too frustrated with having to restart the level every 5 seconds. I liked platformer, fairly linear, gameplay the levels used to have in the first two. The only time I used to get that frustrated in the first two were with the boss battles, which I found myself actually missing this time around. Again, this is personal, and this opinion changes depending on the individual’s preferred gameplay methods. It does, however, make it feel very different from the first two.
Third, ok it DID give me butterflies inside seeing everybody again. When Mari showed up, I screamed. And seeing Jowee, my baby boy, again was incredible. I felt such a rush of bostalgia seeing all the old Raposas, and I love that they added the detail that all the other raposas from the different villages in TNC came to visit our main village! I’m glad to see the little details of what went on in the timeskip. And, I love that they added the detail that some of the humans shared similarities to some of the rapos. I noticed that immediately ;) very clever! The story felt a little rushed, but it seemed to hint at the end that this isn’t the last we’ll see of DTL. Since it was such a short game, I feel like we’re going to see a short series of new games over the next coming years, at least I hope!
Now here’s some major spoilers>>>>>
JOWEE PROPOSED TO MARI?! I will say, it does seem a little out of the blue but I’m ok with that. I feel like their relationship has always been oretty lowkey and chill, and if thats where they’re happy, I’m happy for them! Plus now I really wanna draw the wedding, but that’s neither here nor there. I’m also excited that Mike is letting Aly in on the story!
And of course, we can’t forget our little hooded figure friend... it was never mentioned who it was but I DO think it’s Wilfre. They had silver hair like him, and I can’t imagine who else it could be. Plus he didn’t get mentioned very much... i’m sure Mari would have pardoned him too. I think we’ll find out more in the next game, which again, I assume there will be.
Overall, I can’t help but feel a little sad that this wasn’t as close to the predecessors as I would have liked, but I don’t know what I expected. Truly, the DS was the perfect platform for this game series, but its run its prime. I’m just glad to get any content at all honestly, and I am thankful to have seen all my old friends again. I hope we get another song soon though, the lyrical songs were always SO good. Thats where the games emotion truly lies.

A game I'm really excited for is Drawn to Life: Two Realms! I didn't realize it was coming out this year on the seventh of December so I'm really hyped to get it ;u; I'm not sure if you played that series before, but the previous games were great and it's honestly a child hood favorite so I'm looking forward to newest installment for it ;u;
Omg I played Drawn to Life on my DS back in elementary school! It was definitely a fun game and I thought the concept was neat. Plus the little raposas were cute! Thanks for letting me know :) I’ll check it out

Jamie Dornan concede entrevista para GQ Brasil
Tumblr media
No filme, Dornan é Will Scarlett, meio-irmão de Robin Hood. Jamie Dornan: Eu odeio fazer compras! Eu não consigo. Me deixa meio desconfortável. GQ Brasil: Você estará no novo filme do centenário personagem Robin Hood.
Confere?
Jamie Dornan: Uau!

Drawn to Life: Mario Party Edition (DS)
Tumblr media
Introduction/Before The Game
Summary: Mike brings some DS consoles into the Raposa Realm! He, Mari, Jowee, and Wilfre play Mario Party DS together!
(Next Chapter)
(Also Available on ao3)
🎉
It was a quiet night in Rapoville; hardly anyone was out. Mari and Jowee walked together to the Village Hall, discussing their honeymoon.
"Jowee, we're not even married yet!"
"I know! ..I'm just curious."
"Hmm, I don't know where I'd want to go. There's just so many places."
"Maybe we could travel the world! Finally have an adventure together."
"Uh, I thought we already had an adventure?"
"That was four years ago! Besides," His ears slumped. "I didn't really enjoy it." He fidgeted with the bell on his scarf, lost in thought.
Mari rubbed his back. "Jowee..."
"But we can do it again! But better!" He perked back up. "No saving the world, no leaving each other behind. It'd be a, uh, a no pressure adventure! What do you say?"
Mari smiled, weakly. "I'd like that."
"Yeah! I knew you would!"
The smile faded from her face. "But I can't..."
"What?! Mari!"
"I'm sorry, I just-"
A flash of light shined at the Village Hall. Out from the Book of Imagination's light leaped Mike. Mari and Jowee, putting a pause in their talk, ran up to him.
"Mike! It's so good to see you! What are you doing here?" Mari asked.
"Uh, nothing really. I just wanted a break from Heather."
"How is Heather?" Jowee asked.
"Um, good I guess?"
"Oh that's good. Um..." He fiddled with his scarf. "Does she still not remember us?"
"I dunno. I guess not."
"Well, can you still tell her I said hi?"
"Jowee..." Mari said.
Jowee sighed. "I'm sorry. I just miss her..."
An awkward silence filled the air. Like a suffocating gas.
"Memory is a tricky thing." A hooded Raposa emerged from the darkness. "Who knows when or if she'll remember this place again."
"Wilfre?? What are you doing here?!"
"Jowee, quiet!" Mari scolded. "Nobody knows he's here yet."
"O-Oh.. Right."
"Uh, why don't we go in the village hall?" Mari motioned everyone into the building.
Wilfre glanced at Mike under his hood and continued. "I saw him enter our realm and wanted to keep an eye on him."
Mike started to sweat, and quickly avoided his gaze. "Uhh, are you sure he's good now?"
Jowee questioned it too. "Mari, I know you think forgiving him is the correct thing, but... Are you ok?"
Mari looked away, shaken. She nodded. "Yeah. I'm.. I'm sure."
Everyone in the room was uncomfortable, as the awkward silence returned.
"Uh, I um... I brought some things over from the Human Realm."
The Raposa turned to the Human, intrigued.
"Wow, really?! That's incredible!" Mari exclaimed.
"Yo, what kind of stuff did you bring?"
"Ooh! Did you bring some kind of Special Human artifacts?" Mari wondered.
"Oh! Or Human realm snacks!" Jowee licked his lips, now hungry.
Mari rolled her eyes at Jowee, giggling to herself. 'Rapo he's adorable.'
Wilfre stared at Mike's bag. "Well, what did you bring, Human?"
"Uhh.." Intimidated, Mike opened his backpack and pulled out a Nintendo DS. "I uhh.. I brought this."
Jowee was momentarily disappointed that he didn't have snacks.
Mari looked at the DS in Mike's hands on awe. "What is it, Mike?"
"Um, a DS?"
"A... Dee Es? What exactly is that?"
"Oh. Right, you guys probably don't have these. It's a machine that you play video games with."
Jowee looked at the device, wide eyed. "Woah! That's cool! How does it work?"
"See this slot? This is where the game cartridge goes." Mike pressed on the cartridge, popped it out and showed them before he put it back in. "It tells the machine what game to play."
Jowee looked at the device, this time more seriously. "Mike, can I see it?"
"Uh, sure. Hang on. I got some others in here." He reached in his bag and pulled out another DS. "Sorry, this one's kinda old. So it's clunkier than mine." Mike handed the DS to Jowee. It was an original white DS.
Jowee stared at it, mesmerized. "Woah." 'It's like a white box...'
"Hey, if you want, we could play Mario Party?" Mike suggested.
"Mario Party?" Mari asked.
"Hey, that sounds like you!" Jowee remarked.
"You know, you can play too Mari! I got another DS in here!"
"Oh I don't know, I was gonna sort out some late night paperwork."
"Aw, c'mon Mari! It'll be fun!" Jowee urged her.
"I know, but.."
"C'mon, Mari. You're always so busy... I just wanna spend time with you! Bond some more! Can't you take a little break from the mayor stuff?"
Mari looked away for a moment, ashamed, before returning her gaze. "...Oh, alright! How can I say no to you~!" She hugged him and smooched his cheek.
"So, are we playing or what?" Mike asked.
"Yeah! Sounds like an exciting adventure." Mari replied.
Mike handed her a console. "Alright! Let's play some of that Mario Party!"
"I'd like to play Mari Party any time." Jowee said out loud, and immediately regretted it.
"W-What?" Mari asked, shook.
"I didn't say anything..."
There was an awkward pause.
It was interrupted by Wilfre. "...Can I play?"
Everyone looked at him, unsure what to say. "Um, I guess? I do have a forth one."
"Excellent."
"Wait! You're not going to do anything evil and suspicious, are you?" Jowee interrogated.
"Jowee! Don't be rude!" Mari scolded.
"...I'm sorry. But he's Wilfre! Shouldn't you have something against this?"
"I... I don't know what you're talking about."
Wilfre reached out his paw toward Mike, motioning him to hand over the device. "Mike, I would like to play Mario Party." He said in an intimidating tone.
"Uh... Alright! Here!" Mike reached in his bag, and pulled out the final DS and handed it over to Wilfre.
"Thank you. Mike." Wilfre took the console from Mike's hand and powered it on.
"Okay does everyone have their DS on, or what?" Mike asked everyone.
"Not yet!" Mari answered. "How do I-?"
"Oh! Here," Mike walked up and helped her. "You see this little switch here? You just- Yup! You got it!"
'Wow, that was easy.' "Thanks, Mike."
Meanwhile, Jowee carefully examined the device in his paws. 'A white box...' He opened it up, revealing the dual screens. 'Two windows...'
"Uh jowee, you okay?" Mike asked.
Jowee stared at the device. He almost looked scared. Confused even. "I uhh," He shook it off. "I'm ok," Jowee responded. But he didn't sound confident in his reply. "I just have a lot on my mind right now..."
"I would like to play the game rather than listen to whatever issue he is having," Wilfre coldly stated.
"Uh, Wilfre's right," Mari agreed. "We should really get started. I do have a lot of paperwork to get to."
"Alright! Let's get started then! Hand the devices over to me, and I'll get us all set up!" Mike instructed. "Sound good?"
Everyone collectively agreed.
"Cool," Mike proceeded to set up everyone's DS to play Mario Party.
"Okay! Here's everyone's games back!" Mike handed them over after a few minutes. "So I'm going to set up the game now," 'Party Mode... Battle Royal...' "Okay! Now you can pick your character."
The Raposa quickly figured out the d pad and maneuvered their cursors over the colorful cast of characters.
Mike was the first to make his selection. "I'm going for toad! He's my lucky guy, hasn't failed me yet!"
"Mmhm," Wilfre sounded doubtful.
"Oooh look at this guy!" Jowee hovered over Yoshi. "He's so happy! I gotta pick him!"
Mari meandered through her options, unsure who to chose. "Hmm..."
"Trouble?" Jowee asked.
"Oh, I dunno. I'm kinda torn between all these options."
Wilfre browsed as well, silently hovering over Peach before changing his mind. Moving his cursor downward.
"Well, are there any you like more than the others?" Jowee continued.
"Hmm... Well, I guess I like this one?" She hovered over Daisy.
Wilfre slumped his shoulders in response, and silently hovered over Waluigi.
"She does look the most like me."
"Well, what about Mario?" Jowee suggested.
"Mario? The red guy?"
"Yeah! I mean, he's got your name and everything!"
"Jowee..."
"What? Okay, I mean, your name isn't Mario. But it's close!"
"That's true..."
"Now that I think about it, it's like a combination of Mari and Mayo." Jowee salivated, hungry again. "Mmm... Mayonaise!"
"Jowee what the rapo are you talking about!?"
"Oh, sorry. I think I'm hungrier than I thought."
Mari giggled. "Okay, you've made a compelling argument!" She ruffled Jowee's hair and changed her character selection. "Mario it is!"
Wilfre smiled, moving his own selection to Daisy.
"Great!" Mike went over to the board selection screen. "So, what board do you want to play?"
"Is there any difference between them?" Mari questioned.
"Oh! Well, they each have different gimmicks in gameplay. Wiggler's Garden is the basic board, so we should probably go for that o-"
"I want to play Bowser's Pinball Machine," Wilfre stated.
"What?"
"Bowser's Pinball Machine," Wilfre stared.
An intimidating silence smothered the group.
"Okay... " Mari broke the silence. "I guess we're playing pinball."
Jowee raised an eyebrow at Mari in disapproval.
"Pinball it is," Mike selected the Bowsers Pinball machine board. "So how long of a game do you all want?"
"What's the longest we can go?" Jowee asked. "Five hours? Twenty hours?"
"Jowee!! We can't stand around here forever!!" Mari protested.
"I know.. I was just curious!"
"Uhh I guess it can go for an hour and a half? Maybe two at very most?" Mike answered. 'Especially with everyone being newbies... Oh boy.'
"Two hours?! That's a long time!" Mari exclaimed.
"Well, I guess that is pretty long." Mike thought out loud. "Heather might miss me if I'm gone that long..."
Jowee sighed at the reminder of Heather. "What about one hour?" He asked.
"Yeah! We can do that," Mike set the game to 20 turns. "Okay, are we ready?"
 Everyone nodded.
"Alright. Here we go." Mike started the game.
