LISTEN. the Water 7 Saga absolutely rewired the way I understood the crew and how each member views themselves and the roles they play. And it’s been some time since the Strawhat’s exploration of the New World has allowed them to really take time and consider themselves and each other like that again.

And Elbaf just sounds (MUAH) like such a wonderful opportunity to do exactly that, it sounds perfect, primarily in the way it ties all the way back to the Strawhat’s early days on the Grand Line. And when you look at the presence of the Giant Pirates in Little Garden and Enies Lobby, what they share is that both times the Giants Served the purpose mirroring the conflicts between the crewmates and highlighting the importance of loyalty and comradery. Shit writes itself. Come on Elbaf don’t let me down. Come on Usopp I know you can hit us with another world shattering arc just take the stage love.

this is 153, legal advisor and lawyer extraordinaire! they’re very cheerful and funny and kind of silly, the type of person to play pranks for fun, but when it comes down to it they can also be brutally practical. arguments to make, things to do, paperwork to fill, ya know?

153 is stupid busy- there’s a surprising amount of lawsuits people try to send to SFAR, esp when people get angry about things like taking so-and-so stick into their custody. “that stick has done horrible crimes” “you stole my stick figure” “your organization is untrustworthy”, osha regulations, that sort of thing.

most of the time, that kind of stuff never goes anywhere, and the attempted lawsuits have been dying out over time (153 does good work), but the bulk of what keeps him busy is his job as a public defender for those who are unwilling to or cannot afford to hire a private attorney! ace attorney joke here.

is there a courtroom in SFAR? it’s that or 153 leaves the building, which (probably) isn’t an option, so yeah, i guess there is. 153 works from there.

anyway, in terms of cosmetics, 153 does paint the gaps in their joints so that the joints show up blue when they bend their arms and such! they need to get it retouched once every two weeks or so. they can do makeup, although a lot of it is hidden behind their glasses, and the little beads on their glasses chain get swapped out on occasion!

i do like to think that bc he’s funny and pretty and good at his job and he technically interacts w/ the public, he has a bit of a reputation as “that One Lawyer. you know, with the glasses”. it’s not going to go anywhere, but by god does this bitch have charisma!

Fairyteens has a fun supplemental called Fairy Land News that originated in the app Faynet, but a lot of them have been put on the official instagram (both in English and Russian), though you have to sort through the other posts to find them.

Each entry is paragraph about the goings on in the fairy world, whether that's new products that have come out, the latest gossip about various fairy and elf celebrities, news from young fairies and elves living in human households, or even quick interviews with ordinary fairies on the street.

Besides fleshing out the world of fairies outside of the main characters (though they do show up there from time to time), it also has super cute artwork. I've highlighted a few of my favorites here (and if you click, there's a brief description of the story they were attached to).
