#I am both Steven and Pearl in that last gif

Note
So I'm making White Diamond! Reader being shatter kinda like Rose Quartz.
So, White Diamond! Reader wasn't really shattered, and her pearl was a part of it all, so when they managed to get their pearl to reform, they wouldn't say a thing under their diamonds' last order.
When their pearl couldn't keep it a secret anymore, they had to show Yandere! Noir and Miguel, what really happened the day, White Diamond! Reader was "shattered"
( It would kinda be like when steven was taken, though Pearl's memories )
( Could this be a oneshot? The story I had written above could be an idea of it )
Tumblr media
TW/CW:Yandere behavior, unhealthy behavior, unhealthy relationship, abusive behavior, abusive relationship, I can’t get over the gif it’s just so funny to see, Reader was thought to be dead but they alive!, reader pulled a rose quartz, White Diamond being BLINDING AS FUCK in the gif, tell me if I gotta add more
Summary:It was the only way to have freedom..to fake your death. You wish you told your lovers yet you didn’t have time to do it as it happened so quickly. Pearl promised not to tell a soul but she is forced to tell the truth despite trying not to.
Tumblr media
Miguel and Noir looked at Pearl who was now unpoofed who looked a bit sadden but concerned, Noir just rested his head back in his arms still not over your death. “What is it pearl?” “Y/N…Y/N isn’t dead..” Miguel looked away from the work he’d been drowning himself in and Noir immediately snapped his head towards Pearl. No one spoke for a while as the two grieving boyfriends were surprised while Pearl waited. “You…..you aren’t pulling a sick joke are you?” Pearl shook her head and brought up a recording.
It showed you. “Is it working Pearl?” “Yes My Diamond, it is working” “Oh good! Well uh I guess I should say what I’m recording this. I am going to change forms or try to just do I don’t deal with the Diamond order and live a peaceful-ish life. To whoever sees this, this is all going to be new to me and it’s a 50/50 chance I don’t make it or I do. Noir and Miguel, if you see this…I love you. I love you both so much, I would’ve told you sooner but I kept feeling suffocated that I needed it to be done soon. I’m sorry for all the worry and grief that I’ll make you have to do, I know I should’ve told you just so you felt some peace but I didn’t and I understand if you do not forgive me. I love you Miguel. I love you Noir”
In the video Pearl was smiling softly as you backed away and nodded then went into your diamond form..beautiful ad ever in each way. “Are you sure my diamond? No backing out now” “of course Pearl…let’s do it” pearl sighed in the video then it happened all to quickly for them to understand but to only see..YOU in a different form. You and Pearl started laughing and hugging. “WE DID IT! HAHAHA!” Your laugh..it was so angelic.
Then it ended. Miguel didn’t realize he was crying until Noir hugged him. Pearl just wanted them to know it wasn’t their fault as you never did die.

~Crystal Clear Affection~ Chapter 4: Shopping Sensation
Summary: You and Steven are finally able to go on your monster-free shopping adventure...at least you hope it is.
Warning(s): Recounting of trauma & Swearing Word Count: 8,056
Authors Note: This story is intended to be inclusive of all readers, regardless of their race and physical features (besides Reader's gem), but please let me know if you find any mistakes as I am not perfect and sometimes don't realize I write them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After returning from the dock, and the gems rushing to their rooms to escape Steven's onslaught of cat puns, you and Steven go about performing your unspoken routine.
He sets himself up at the stove to start making breakfast, shuffling through cupboards to collect his needed ingredients while you settle on tidying up the house a bit. For such a small kid, you wouldn't think Steven could make such a huge mess in the span of a few hours. But you were very wrong in that conclusion. Though no amount of clothes to fold or trash to throw away will ever be enough to deter you from living with the ball of sunshine.
You're about halfway through reorganizing Steven's dresser when a delicious smell wafts from downstairs, effectively distracting you from cleaning any further. The unmistakable scent of waffles ignites a new hunger within you. A deep rumble, not unlike a grizzly waking up on an empty stomach after a long hibernation, accompanying your newfound appetite.
You silently thank whatever deity there may be for Steven's mysterious ability to cook amazing food, no matter how simple. He must have learned from his dad since the gems don't seem to know how to cook unless you count Amethyst's attempt to bake a bag of chips as cooking. Though there's also the possibility that he taught himself like he has so many other things. Which, while utterly frustrating and sad, is equally as admirable.
Steven's call that the food is ready breaks you out of your thoughts. Shaking your head to clear away the haze of your spiraling mind, you jump up and make your way downstairs. You take your seat just in time for Steven to walk over and hand you your plate with a wide smile. Returning it with a grin of your own, you gently take the offered food from him, giving him a thank you before you both dig in.
Breakfast is only consumed by the sound of forks scraping against porcelain instead of the cheery conversation that usually floats through the air. Your actions are rushed, both of you swept up in your shared inner flurries of excitement for your plans for the day. Not only is it your first peaceful morning, well, so far at least, but Steven is also taking you shopping.
In the grand scheme of things, it's really not all that awe-inspiring, nor should it be exciting enough to nearly have you both choking in your hurry to finish breakfast. But you really can't remember the last time you've been able to just go out and get things you've wanted without having to worry if it will hinder or help your survival. So this is a nice little treat you've been looking forward to almost as much as Steven has.
After finishing your food in record time and thanking Steven again for the amazing meal, you make your way to the sink to wash the dishes. The goofball follows you, placing his plates in the hot water and standing at the ready to dry any dishes you hand him before putting them away.
For once, you don't argue about him not needing to do anything since he cooked you breakfast. Because with the added help, the dishes are done in no time, and Steven eagerly bounces away to track down Pearl to tell her of your shopping plans.
You giggle at your close friend's demeanor, the boy spinning in circles as he hops on the tips of his toes in his dizzying quest for Pearl. No matter what happens or what groggy hour of the morning it is, he's always such a ball of energy. And you've never seen someone smile as much as he does, especially not while having to go through as many trauma-inducing experiences as he's had.
It's an unlikely dream, but you wish that he'll always be like this, always able to find the silver lining in things no matter how impossible it seems. His optimism is enough to keep others motivated, and his happiness is nothing short of contagious. And while you know that most likely won't last, you also know that if he ever seems to lose that hope, you'll be there to help him find it again.
Steven's excited chatter shatters the silence that houses your lingering thoughts as he walks back to you with Pearl in tow. Well, actually, the pale gem strolls beside him, narrowly avoiding any swinging limbs as he hops around her in circles waving his arms about.
Steven stands at your side, rocking on the heels of his feet, absolutely jittery at having gotten Pearl to agree to your shopping trip. It takes your hands being placed on his shoulder to keep him relatively still. But nothing in the world could stop the sparkle of excitement in his eyes. Not that you'd want to anyway.
With Steven partially subdued, Pearl takes the time to speak, “Okay, now remember. This money is only to be used for clothes and shoes for Jewel, maybe a few accessories, a phone, and some food while you two are out today. Do I make myself clear?”
“Yes, Ma’am.” You both chorus to appease her so you can get out shopping as quickly as possible. Steven throws in a salute for extra effect, his face hardening into a serious expression or as serious as it can get with his tongue peeking out the side of his mouth.
She seems a bit unsure, her face twisting as if all the possibilities of what could go wrong are spinning in circles through her mind and pulling the skin taught. But after a few moments contemplation, chipped away by Steven's impatient whining, she hands you the money. Mumbling that you'd be more responsible with it, earning an offended ‘Hey!’ and a pout from Steven which she pointedly ignores.
“Know that I’m trusting you both. And be sure to be back before it gets dark!”
“We know Pearl.” Steven groans, his shoulders sagging forward with his head thrown back to let his whine drift to the heavens. As the last desperate note escapes him, he jumps right back up, fists clenched and shaking with the exertion it takes for him to keep himself still, his dramatics causing you to laugh and shake your head. “Can we go now?!”
“Okay, okay. But you have to-”
You don’t get to hear the rest of what the gem is saying because as soon as her acceptance registers, Steven grabs your hand and drags you out the door. It’s a bit of a struggle keeping up with the boy's fast pace as he takes the stairs two at a time to get away from what would no doubt be a continued lecture. But once you do, you quickly pull him to a stop, his sandal-clad feet skidding in the sand from the abruptness.
“Steven, that wasn’t very nice.” You scold, free hand placed against his shoulder to help him regain his balance from your tug on his arm.
Steven's face shifts, a guilty expression twisting his features. On instinct, his fingers squeeze around yours as if offering a form of apology, his eyes dropping to his shuffling feet, where he pushes sand around in order to avoid your disappointed gaze. His free hand reaches up to scratch at the back of his neck, fingers nervously toying with the curled locks they come in contact with. "I know, but I reeeaaaally want to hang out with you! But if we stayed and listened to Pearl, we wouldn't have as much time to do stuff."
His eyes slowly drift back up to meet yours, and the look he gives you yanks your heartstrings so roughly that it almost sends you tumbling to the ground. Sparkling obsidian eyes peek through his fluttering lashes, his face still downturned and a wavering pout curling his lips. You sigh at his saddened look, you may be strong, but those damn puppy dog eyes will get you every time.
And he is right. Pearl tends to get out of hand when it comes to her rules and lectures on safety, so you probably would have been there for another hour, at the least, if you let her continue.
"Okay, stop with the look; we can go." His face brightens, but you hold up a finger before he speaks. "But you have to apologize to Pearl…when we get back."
"Okay!" With no more interference, he takes off towards the boardwalk with you in tow.
You match his pace, playfully shaking your head at him as you pat his head, "You know you're lucky you're cute, Universe."
"I'm not cute." Your hand that ruffles his curly locks is quickly batted away, Steven's face turning a deep shade of pink.
"You are as cute as the sky is blue. I don't make the rules here. That's just how it is."
The embarrassed pout that settles on his face only fuels your chuckles. You didn't mean to tease him, but you weren't really expecting him to get so flustered over what was just supposed to be a playful comment. And for some reason, the blush growing on his cheeks spurred you on, which might make you a little evil for playing into it, but that's something you can dwell on later. After all, you can practically see the gears turning in his mind as he tries to think of a comeback, and it'd be rude of you to miss it after the slight teasing you've put him through.
"You're the cute one, Jewel!" Not only is his declaration made in a slightly raised voice, but it's also much higher pitched than you've ever heard it. The change in his voice is enough to catch you off guard, but his bold words leave you frozen, gawking at him.
The few people besides yourselves on the boardwalk stop in their tracks, turning to stare at him for his outburst. He spares them all a fleeting glance, their inquisitive eyes beckoning his attention. And then, after scanning over the onlooking crowd, it finally clicks into place what he did, but his head still snaps back in your direction as if to confirm it.
He openly gapes at you, words tumbling from his lips in jumbled gibberish that even he can't decipher. His face burns redder at each failed attempt to speak, and you figure that if his cheeks grow just a little bit hotter, they would probably be visibly steaming. Seems like the heat from his blush caused his mind to short-circuit.
It would be worrying if it weren't so funny. He's utterly mortified, speechless in a way you would have never thought possible for him, as his raging flush threatens to burn away his very existence. And yet, even with his ever-present embarrassment, he can still muster the determination sparking in his eyes that his choice of words was the correct one. So, of course, you have to help him out and end his torture.
Your genuine smile is all it takes for all his tension to evaporate. The mist it leaves behind soothing the blistering heat expanding across his face and neck until it's subdued to a comforting warmth. Even the furious red recedes, a remaining rose pink tint the only evidence it was ever there. A color that you find suits him pretty well, its brightness highlighting his cheerful features perfectly.
You reach to ruffle his hair again, fingers lightly brushing through the chocolate curls, "Fine. We're both cute."
"That's acceptable!" He giggles from the ticklish sensation, this time letting you pet his head affectionately as a grin tugs at his lips, "Now come on! I know just the store to go to first!"
"Okay, lead the way, Steven."
He doesn't need to be told twice. His fingers tightening around your own is the only warning you get before he's off. You're a bit more prepared for his enthusiastic race to the shop he has in mind, quickly becoming accustomed to his habit of dragging you around. Not that you can complain, his excitement is contagious, and you find yourself giggling as you close in on the store.
He only comes to a stop when reaching the shop's glass doors, turning to you as your laughter raises in volume, unhindered by your partial sprint. A questioning look is directed at you, a crooked brow emphasizing his curiosity while his smile curls up in amusement, “What are you laughing at?”
“Sorry. You’re just so determined to go shopping. It's just a little bit funny how you're so excited about it even though you can go anytime you want.”
“Well yeah, of course, I'm excited! Sure I get to go shopping all the time, but now you can come with me, and you can pick out some clothes-” He cuts himself off with a gasp, stars forming in his eyes and free hand reaching up to cup his cheek. “WE SHOULD HAVE A FASHION SHOW!!”
You rub at the back of your neck, hoping the action will somehow reduce some of your nervousness, “Um, I don’t know, Steven.” You hate to burst his bubble, but you just don’t know how to feel about his idea. Besides him and the gems, you still aren’t used to being around many people, and the last thing you want to do is make a fool of yourself in front of them or, more importantly, him.
“Aw, come on, Jewel! Pretty please?! I’ll even do it with you!!”
You tried to look away on time, but the moment the thought crossed your mind, it was already too late. His wide onyx eyes have already sucked you into an inescapable black hole, leaving you stranded in his gaze. The sparkle in them twinkles like stars to try and entice you, each fluttering of his lashes only polishing their shine.
Your jaw clenches in retaliation to his purposeful lip quiver, teeth acting as a cage to hold your acceptance of his idea hostage, but you can feel your resolve slipping away. Though evidently, the break in your stony defiance comes quicker than expected. All it takes is him encasing your intertwined fingers with his other hand, clutching it to his chest, for you to feel his rapid heart spurred by his excitement. And with that added to his already desperate pleading, how the hell are you supposed to say no?
“Ugh, okay, okay. Just stop looking at me like that.” You press your free hand to his face, pushing the puppy dog eyes out of your line of sight with a playful roll of your own, “The things I'm willing to do for you, even when you trick me into it.”
“Yay! Thanks, Jewel!!”
You’re once again getting dragged away by your joint hands, your jab completely ignored. He rushes into the store as if it will disappear in the next few seconds, pulling you down aisles and in odd directions as something new catches his eye. And while you're getting used to his frenzied pace, the jerking on your arm goes to show that you’re gonna have to teach Steven how to slow down, or one of these days, he’s gonna yank off your arm in a fit of excitement.
Finally, after nearly jogging through the whole store, Steven comes to a stop in the back right corner. “How about we start here and work our way to the other side?”
“Sounds like a plan. So how are we doing the fashion show?”
“Oh uh…” His eyes dart around the shop, surveying the racks of clothes and people meandering through them as if they'll give him the answer to your question.
“How can you think up an idea but not know what to do for it?” You sigh, shaking your head with a smile at his forgetfulness.
He drags his eyes to meet yours, gaze passing over your pitying smile before dropping to the ground in shame. You're right. He should have come up with a game plan before dragging you into doing something you didn't want to do in the first place. And now he's just wasting some of your time together in order to figure out how to make his idea work, stalling with stutters of a half-thought-up plan until he can figure out the rest. How could he be so stupid?
He desperately wanted to spend the day with you and had thought up a million things you could do together. After going shopping, he would take you to Funland to ride every roller coaster, and he could win you all the prizes you wanted. Or you could go to the T-Shirt Shop and get matching shirts to prove that you're best friends. That or you could go to Cone 'N' Son and get a bunch of different ice cream flavors with every topping to try together. There are just so many possibilities!
And yet when he actually gets to spend time with you away from the gems and without any monster interfering, he can't even make it through his first idea without disappointing you. He needs to apologize and make this right, and hopefully, you'll forgive him for being such an idiot.
You can practically see the apology forming on his lips as he nervously shuffles in place, avoiding eye contact as if your friendship hangs in the balance. And knowing Steven, that's probably exactly what he thinks. After all, there's no other reason he would be so quiet unless he thought he messed something up. He probably thinks he's ruined your day out because he didn't come up with a way for the fashion show to work. Well, you're not gonna let him feel bad over something so stupid. Especially when he thought of it for you to have a good time.
You ruffle his hair, squeezing your joined hands which eases the dispirited look on his face. “Okay, how about I just pick things I like and let you see how I look in them after trying them on?”
That's enough to draw his eyes to yours. They survey every minute detail of your expression as if searching for any anger or disappointment veiled behind your acceptance. But all it takes is the widening of your smile and another gentle squeeze to his fingers for all his residual worries to melt away like ice under the summer sun. And just like that, with warmth thawing the chill of self-doubt, sunbeams light up his eyes, and he's back to his bubbly self. “Yeah! And I’ll pick out a few to try on too!”
“Well, let’s get started then.”
Tumblr media
After about two hours of picking clothes out and trying them on for Steven to see, you’re done. And let's just say you now have a lot more clothes than you expected. And probably a lot more than you need.
The shirts you picked mainly consist of t-shirts with cool designs and funny or sarcastic sayings on them; the more Steven laughed when reading them, the higher on your 'to buy' list they became. You had to stay away from the band tees, though. As awesome as some of them were, you don’t really know who they are in anything other than music alone. Their names a bit foreign even after Steven described them, the downside of living isolated from society for so long.
A fair amount of jeans, leggings, and shorts also occupy your pile so that you’re always ready for different types of weather...Also, so Pearl can't lecture you about being unprepared. You made sure to grab a bunch of socks and undergarments too. The latter being the only things Steven didn’t see you in for obvious reasons.
Shoes were a bit more of a challenge. The shop mainly sold different types of flip-flops and sandals to accommodate the sandy terrain. But after a bit of searching, you found a pair of simple sneakers that you liked. Though on your way to try them on, your eyes drifted over a pair of boots, only to shoot straight back to them as if drawn in by a magnet. They weren't anything overly special, just a pair of black ankle-length combat boots with chains wrapped around the backs. But they were still enough to catch your eye, so you decided to get them too.
While here, you also took the time to pick out seasonal clothing as well. Really just outfits fit for the snow or slightly colder weather after Steven informed you of how chilly it can get during the winter months. And, of course, you made sure to grab a swimsuit. After all, since you live on the beach, you'll probably be swimming quite a lot.
Though the fun hadn't really begun until you got to the accessories. You happily perused the many different styles and picked some that fit your chosen clothes. Steven cheerfully added whatever he thought would look good on you into the pile as well.
After purchasing way more accessories than necessary, encouraged by the ever-excitable Steven, you found an earring you could not resist buying. It was unarguably the best you'd picked all day and is one you have no doubt will be used for many years to come.
The earring has a cuff that wraps around the upper helix of your ear. Three thin silver chains of different lengths drape from it, all hanging separately except where they attach to a yellow topaz stud pierced through your earlobe. From the stud also dangles a gold star from a matching silver chain, the charm shining radiantly with every swing as it catches the light. It’s safe to say that your choice of jewelry was inspired by Steven, a statement that made his smile brighter than the star's artificial shine when you told him.
Though your favorite out of everything you picked was a leather jacket. It seemed to be made for style rather than functionality, but you knew you needed it either way, Pearl's possible scolding be damned. Its length is that of a cropped jacket, though as it's made for someone a bit taller, the ends fall a little too far past your hips. Not that it's anything to worry about, as you'll no doubt grow into it with time.
Spikes line the shoulders in about five small rows, stopping as they reach the seam for the long sleeves. And the fact that it matched your boots and earrings with five chains draping from the spikes across your upper shoulder was an added bonus.
There was one small part of the jacket you were hoping Pearl could alter, however. On the back rests a small purposeful hole to show off your shoulder blades. But it also sits directly over your gem, and what would be a better way to show it off other than turning the hole into a star, the very symbol of the Crystal Gems.
With your cart stuffed full of your new wardrobe, you are now ready to check out. At least that's what you thought until Steven grabbed your arm. Effectively halting your steps toward the checkout counter.
"Hey, we still have to go through dresses." He points to the rows of said attire behind him.
A grimace takes over your face at his words, eyes squinting in distaste at the blinding colors and skimpy lengths most of the dresses display. You try to keep your voice as stoic as possible, not wanting him to take your irritation with the articles of clothing as annoyance with him. "Um yeah, I think I'm good without one, Steven."
"Whaaat?! But what if we go somewhere fancy?! You'll need a dress then!"
"I just...I don't think I would look good in a dress Steven." You sigh, a frown etching onto your face, really the only one you've had since meeting Steven when a monster or something life threatening wasn't involved.
You never really liked girlier stuff. Always the type to play around in the mud or pretend to be a dragon before even looking at a doll. Something only encouraged by your dad. No matter how much dirt you dragged in, the fights you got in at school, or the toys or outfits left untouched 'cause they weren’t cool enough for you, he didn't care as long as it made you happy.
And when he passed, that never changed and growing up as you did only pushed you farther from that lifestyle. Your every thought was consumed by your survival. How to hide from humans who would ridicule or harm you. Hunting for your own food instead of getting it in the kitchen. Fighting any monsters that approached, thinking you'd be an easy snack. And between that and all the running from place to place, dresses and skirts were never a good clothing option as they were more likely to get in the way.
That's not to say that you hadn't imagined yourself in that style once or twice. Watching the human girls from afar as they excitedly shop and twirl happily in their flowing dresses. And you couldn't help but wonder if doing stuff like that would make you feel a bit more normal, a bit more human.
But those girls were different from you. They were smaller, weaker, but all the more beautiful. Smooth skin unmarred by the dangers of life and minds unburdened by the fear that the next day could be their last.
You were practically the exact opposite. Stronger thanks to not only your gem genes but your years of taking care of yourself in isolation. Your body was more often painted in blood, far unlike the makeup some human girls so fondly use and riddled with scars, old and new.
Ones from defending yourself from the monsters that tried to hurt you, their talons or teeth having ripped through your flesh before you could fend them off. Others from getting too far over your head in a hunt and underestimating your prey's will to fight back. Even some gained from your own stupidity or clumsiness, the scar that spans across the bottom of your foot for stepping on a shard of glass is a clear reminder of that.
And if that wasn't bad enough, you're damaged further than that. The injuries earthquake through you, leaving not only scars but broken bones rehealed and reshattered over time. But the worst ones of all were the invisible cracks that span your mind, the fissures spider webbing across your psyche and leaving you...broken in the trauma left behind in their carvings.
It's why you could never see yourself in a girlier style. Those types of outfits and dresses are made to show off one's assets and highlight one's beauty. But what can it do when the wearer has none. And for that reason, you had hoped he didn't notice the dress racks as you tried to avoid that section of the store altogether. But it seems your wish wasn't answered.
A hand slips into yours, fingers squeezing to break you out of your solemn silence and bring you into the embrace of comfort. You internally thank him for it, relishing in the reassurance the familiar gesture offers. But even so, you can't find the will to face him.
You avert your eyes from his, guiding them along an uncertain path across the store. Bouncing from the tiles on the floor to the clothes on the racks to even the people walking through the aisles. Anywhere in order to not meet his worried gaze trying to seek the emotions darkening your own.
Turning away from him is your only option to escape the burning in his eyes. His need to help blazes, igniting a heat that flushes across your face under his intense stare. Your joined hands are the only thing keeping you from leaving his side completely. And for once, you're almost tempted to pull your fingers from his grasp, anything to keep him from seeing how pathetic you are right now.
There's a soft tug on your hand, urging you without words to look back at him but you keep your feet firmly planted in their spot. He tries again, a harder pull that succeeds in moving you maybe an inch before you shift your foot to stop the movement in its tracks.
He releases your hand after realizing you won't budge, not this time. Despite it being what you wanted, though, you find you are instinctually reaching for him again, already missing the contact. But you stop yourself, knowing that it will only give him hope that you've changed your mind.
An awkward silence falls over you both save for the rapid beating of your heart, unfamiliar and equally as uncomfortable. It's so unlike Steven to not be jumping around with excitement that you didn't realize it's become the norm for you. Leaving a hollow void behind now that it's missing, one devoid of the warmth that the boy so easily protrudes.
You stand, waiting as unease floods your stomach to the point of feeling nauseous to see if he does anything. But the seconds tick by, and the sound of the clock echoes, pounding against your skull like a war drum readying its soldiers for battle. Slowly the seconds turn into minutes, though they feel closer to an eternity, as nothing happens, and you think he's given up.
Though no sooner than you let out a sigh of relief, frame untensing as your guard crumbles, do you feel his presence behind you. And before you can react, one of his arms hits the back of your knees, sweeping them from under you. Your fall is short, and it leaves you no time to even make a sound before his other arm wraps around your back, lifting you up princess-style.
"STEVEN! What the hell put me down!" It doesn't take long to find your voice again after the shock evaporates from your system, giving way to the wave of confusion that takes you over. You try to squirm out of his hold, but he has you in a tighter grip than someone his age should have, something you can thank his half-gem genes for.
He remains unaffected by your struggles, marching to the dress section with purpose. Completely silent, his eyes point forward at his target, misted with a look you can't describe. You've never seen him like this before. Determined, sure, but this is different and altogether a little unnerving, which is enough to still your movements in both curiosity and concern for what he's going to do next.
He finally speaks after placing you on the bench in front of the changing rooms, but even then, it's only a short demand of ‘stay’ before he rushes through the curtains.
And so you're left on the seat, thumbs twiddling and leg bouncing in nervousness, somewhat cleared by the gentleness he set you down with despite his stony exterior. You have no idea what Steven is planning, which in itself isn't new, but with how he's acting, the possibilities are as endless as they are uncertain.
Maybe he's going to change into a suit and make you try on a dress to dance with him through the store. Or he could hang up dresses for you and have you try them on one by one until you accept one, refusing to leave until you do. He could even be preparing to flourish you in dresses, presenting each one to you and telling you everything good about it like someone in an infomercial.
Really all options are very Steven-like. Though no matter what he tries, you would still have to decline. You like to make him happy, the world is a brighter place when he smiles, but this might be one of the instances when you make him do the exact opposite. It kills you just thinking about it, but hopefully, he'll be able to forgive you after a while.
Your attention is drawn from your thoughts when the curtain is thrown open with a dramatic flair. The red fabric flutters in the wind, billowing down to rest at the side of the doorway to uncover Steven standing there...in a dress. You can't help but gape at him, not at all expecting him to do that, of all things. Though now that you think about it, you shouldn't be that surprised.
As if he's a runway model, he struts a path over to you, heels marching on beat to a rhythm only he can hear. Stopping about a foot away, he blows you a kiss before turning back around, dress flaring in his movement as he sashays away. If you weren't so shocked, you would applaud him for his form and confidence, but as you're currently stunned into silence, you can only achieve it mentally.
When he's in front of the changing room again, he quickly turns, one hand resting on his hip while the other points at you. He falters when his ankle slightly buckles from the quick adjustment, but he doesn't let it deter him. Instead, as if it never happened, he straightens his posture, confidence returning as he throws a wink your way. And that's when you lose it.
"PFFT! What the hell are you doing?!" You clutch your stomach with one arm, the other latching onto the bench as the force of your laughter threatens your balance.
"I'm showing you that anyone can look good in a dress! And...well-" His earlier courage sinks away, uncertainty surfacing in its place as he plays with his fingers, a blush taking over his face.
Chuckles subsiding into a more manageable quake, you release your tight grip on the bench to wipe away the tears that collected in your eyes. "Well?"
His gaze meets yours, and there's a flash of determination in his eyes. The spark is enough to ground his obsidian pools to yours instead of continuing on the bouncing path across the tiled floor. He steels himself with a deep inhale, nostrils flaring to take in as much air as possible to calm himself. And it works, if only for a second. Because as he opens his mouth to speak, his confidence slips away. Leaving him further flustered under your gaze, and he resorts to mumbling quickly to get his words out before they are lost, “Ithinkyou'dlookreallyprettyinadress!"
Your eyes widen in surprise as you decipher his gibberish. Despite his embarrassment, you can feel how genuine his statement is, and that is enough to jar you. You've scarcely been told that you're pretty, granted you've been isolated for many years from others so that on its own is enough of a reason why.
Your father used to say it, but as a parent, he was kinda obligated to unless he wanted to deal with a crying child. Also, being covered in mud and dirt when he told you took away some of its value.
But Steven said it, and for whatever reason, you can't help but be a bit more open to his request for you to wear a dress. Whether you'll actually be pretty in it, you have no clue, but you somehow have no doubt that Steven will think you are. And surprisingly, even to yourself, there's a sliver of you that believes him...What is this boy doing to you?
Steven anxiously waits for your response with bated breath, the nervous clicking of heels as his foot repeatedly taps against the ground, pulling your attention to him. You take a moment to study him in all his fidgeting glory, yet despite his unease under your surveying gaze, he still stands firm in his words, not even a thought to take them back, making itself present.
It's at that moment that a heat burns across your cheeks, a delayed flicker sparking to life when his compliment finally fully sinks in. You grant him mercy in your newfound embarrassment, dropping your eyes from his as you shake your head, a smile slowly stretching across your lips. Air rushes out your nose in a breath of a chuckle, the situation not that funny but still amusing enough to laugh at.
"You know," you push yourself off the bench and make your way over to Steven, "I really don't like you sometimes."
Before he can ask what you mean and even before you let your words register negatively in his mind, you ruffle his hair. Using a little extra force to keep his head down so that he doesn't see your flustered state.
"I've only known you for a few days, and you already have me wrapped around your finger. I'll pick a dress if it makes you happy, alright? Just don't expect me to wear it all the time."
He removes your hand from his head, clutching it between both of his and smiling up at you as he nods in understanding. His eyes shimmer in joy, and you have a feeling it's not tied to your acceptance of the dress alone. But you ignore that, lost in his gaze and face growing hotter by the second under his unwavering attention, but you're too caught up in his delight to care. At least, that is before you start getting weird looks from people passing by.
"Okay, well, you have to let me go so I can pick a dress-"
"Actually, I already picked one out for you."
"Wha-when?" This was news to you. He'd been practically glued to your side the whole time you were here. So when did he have the time to pick you out a dress?
Steven is back to blushing, his hands playing with your fingers as he averts his gaze to them. "When you asked me to go and grab you a different size for that tiger shirt. I saw it and thought you would look good in it. I put it in that changing room."
"Well, by the dress you're wearing, I would say you have a good fashion sense. So I'll trust you." You flash him a smile before sealing your fate by walking to the room he mentioned.
And oh boy, were you right to trust him. Upon drawing the curtain back, you're faced with the most beautiful dress you've ever seen. Leaving you shocked as you step closer to examine it, hand ghosting over the soft fabric.
The dress itself is rather simple but loses none of its elegance or beauty in exchange. It has an A-Line shape, one that would hug your figure without restricting your movements. The top is a mix of a heart and an illusion neckline. The invisible fabric reaches up to the base of the neck and is embroidered with black fading to navy blue swirls, with golden flecks sewn into it. Sleeves rest on the upper arm instead of the tops of one's shoulders, drifting down to billow freely around the wrists and consisting of nothing but sheer black fabric with gold sparkles.
The body of the dress is black in color, but over it is draped a thin layer of navy blue sparkle tulle. The flowy asymmetrical skirt, the front stopping at the knees as the back pools down to the ankles, takes advantage of the added fabric, golden spots shining like stars when light hits them. And when you slide into the dress, you're surprised to find that it fits perfectly, almost as if it was made for you. Steven really does know his fashion, something surprising from the kid who owns about twenty of the same shirt and pairs of pants.
Slowly you push the curtain open, and you're met with a gasp before you can even step out.
"You look amazing!" Stars form in Steven's eyes as he jumps around happily, his own dress fluttering through the air from the action.
"So I guess I'm buying it?" You giggle at him, eyes tracking his excited movements as they make a wide smile grow across your lips.
You know you didn't have to ask, as his actions made his answer pretty clear, but a little sliver of self-doubt pushed you to seek verbal acceptance anyway, still unsure in this unfamiliar territory.
His bouncing comes to an abrupt halt as he nods frantically, showing his approval, and you let out a sigh you didn't know you were holding. He starts to make his way over to you but stops, hands flying to cup his cheeks as he gasps, "OH! I saw a pair of black and gold heels that would be perfect with it! I'll go get them!!"
"Alright, while you're doing that, I'm gonna change and head over to the counter. Also, don't forget to change back into your clothes. okay?"
"Oh, right!" He chuckles and rubs the back of his head, the tops of his cheeks tinting pink, "I kinda forgot I was wearing it. But I'll change after I grab your shoes!"
He skips away, almost knocking into other customers as he wobbles in the heels he's still wearing, and you're left laughing at his eccentricities. That boy really is something special.
You quickly change and head to the cash register with your cart overly piled full. Halfway through your pile of clothes being scanned, Steven jogs up behind you, now in his normal outfit, and places the heels on the counter.
They are a beautiful pair of pumps, the heel only about two inches in height which you internally cheer for as you're less likely to fall over since you've never worn any. The tip of the shoe is black, the color fading to a glittering gold as it reaches the heel, with a strap to finish the design. It rests a little off-center from the back, coated in golden rhinestones, and spiraling in a tight coil that would end halfway up your shin. Once again, you applaud Steven's fashion sense because he's right they are perfect.
It's a quick checkout, which you're happy for because you are ready to get off your feet after standing on them for over two hours. As you make your way out, listing off everything else you need, Steven kindly takes half your bags. Something you tried to keep him from doing. Tried being the keyword because he gave you puppy dog eyes after declaring that he wouldn't be a good friend if he let you carry them all by yourself. So, of course, you gave in, truthfully happy for the help, as the weight of the bags was causing your arms to go numb.
The rest of your trip is quick, a bit of exhaustion setting in from the few hours spent in the clothes store. You briefly stop at the electronics store, sparing just enough time to grab a phone, Steven making you get the same model as him so you can play games together. And after grabbing a heavy-duty case to keep it safe during monster attacks and a little star charm courtesy of Steven, you are both making your way back home.
"Hey, so I know that Pearl gave us money to get food, but how about instead of eating out, we bring some pizza home and have a movie marathon? My feet are killing me, and I want to relax."
Steven gasps as if what you said is the best thing he's ever heard, "That's a great idea! Wait here a sec, and I'll run back to Fish Stew Pizza to get us one."
"I can come with you-aaand he's gone. What am I gonna do with this goofball?" You laugh under your breath, watching as Steven runs to the pizza place, bags swinging precariously on his arms.
Thankfully you don't have to wait for him long, probably thanks to the small size of Beach City. When he reaches you, you swipe the bag of cheesy bread off the top of the pizza box, sticking your tongue out at him when he protests. He tries to swipe it back from you, but you just hold it above your head and out of his reach, running back home to keep him from getting it. Steven's laughter rings through the air as he races after you, free hand still outstretched in an attempt to grab the bag you're holding hostage.
Tumblr media
"Oh, come on! The movie can't end like that!" You throw your last handful of popcorn at the TV, wishing it would phase through the screen and nail the villain in the face.
Steven laughs at the pout adorning your lips, and you shoot him a glare out of the corner of your eye. The little hobgoblin knew this was going to happen and didn't even tell you. Shows what kind of friend he is making you suffer like this.
"I mean, it makes sense." He shrugs, snuggling further under the blankets, completely unphased by your menacing stare.
Crossing your arms, you turn to watch the end credits roll with a huff, "I don't care if it makes sense. It's still a horrible ending."
You throw yourself into the pillows behind you in your boiling frustration, your impact on the mattress causing it to ripple and bounce Steven in his spot. The boy tiredly groans, shifting to burrow back into the warm cocoon he's formed in blankets and pillows. Not that you pay attention to him, still too focused on your distaste for the movie.
How dare the movie make you like all the characters and then kill them all off. Well, except for the villain, who actually deserved to die. No, he was left alone and healthy, spoiling in the riches of everyone he murdered...stupid movie.
"I guess-" a yawn bubbles past his lips, "they didn't want it to have a happy ending."
"Yeah, well, they should have made it one. It's not fair that you get emotionally attached to the characters, and then they just go and kill them all. They even killed the little kids! Just so that damn villain could-" You pause in your rant, the new pressure on your shoulder enough to draw your attention away from your annoyance with the film.
To try to discover what the added weight is, you're left bending your neck at a weird angle to glance at Steven. And once you manage to see past the brown locks clouding your vision, your suspicions are confirmed, he fell asleep.
His soft exhales flush over your collarbone, leaving goosebumps in their wake as they ghost across your skin in a featherlight caress. Fluffy brown hair tickles your neck and face at every little movement or breath either of you makes, and you have to keep yourself from jolting at the sensation.
You push yourself up slightly, just enough to see his peaceful face to confirm that he is indeed sleeping and not just trying to pull a fast one on you to get out of your movie complaint. But his eyes remain closed as you hover over him, brows unfurrowed as the worried tension lifts off his slumbering shoulders, and there's no question that he's asleep.
You prepare yourself to exit the warm embrace of his blankets in exchange for the cold journey to the couch when you see him twitch. His nose wrinkles, a stray brown strand tickling it as he puffs and shifts his head away from it in a losing battle he is unaware of. You can't help but let out a breathy chuckle, reaching out to push the curl behind his ear. But as your fingers just barely graze against his skin, he shifts slightly, and you freeze, holding your breath to not wake him. Thankfully he sinks back into the comfort of his mattress, a soft smile spreading across his lips as he cuddles into your side, nose running along the column of your neck as he nuzzles there. Shit...now you're stuck.
You settle back down, accepting your fate with nothing besides the light poke you give him on the cheek, not hard enough to wake him up but just enough so that he'll still feel it to convey your fake annoyance. "How dare you fall asleep during my rant. You're gonna pay for that in the morning, Universe...well, if Pearl doesn't kill me first for throwing popcorn on the floor."

Steven Universe x Female Reader - Angst Prompt!
Tumblr media
Well I was really going to sleep since it’s 12:15 AM as we speak- buT I saw this in my DM’s and WELP here we are!! Even after everything, I have a soft spot for Steven- he went through too much?? I cri Anyways anon, order up!!
Female!Reader + “I don’t know who you are anymore.”
Tumblr media
You started dating Steven at fifteen. You knew him since you were thirteen. You got along with his family and friends. You were there helping with little Homeschool since the very beginning. And no matter what, you both always had a little time for each other; it didn’t matter if it was in person, with texts or calling.  Steven was someone affectionate, and you loved it! At first he was shy, he couldn’t grab your hand without melting! But he soon warmed up to you.  You knew that he had a lot of problems because of his mom. You helped him every time you could! Cuddling his problems and insecurities away, kissing him everywhere until he had this big goofy smile and a little blush. You also gave him space if he needed it; sometimes he needed to talk to the gems or Greg, and that was cool!  However, things started to go down after the whole Spinel thing. While he tried to act normal, you could feel him being tenser and stressed out.  He had less and less time to spend with you, wouldn’t talk not only with you, but to anyone at all, he didn’t even send you a little text of “good morning” or “good night” like he always did!  To say you were worried was an understatement. Where did that goofy and cute boy go? Why wouldn’t he let you help him? One day, you were hanging around with the gems. You needed to clear your head and think about anything besides Steven and how to help someone who didn’t want to be helped. Maybe space was everything he needed? After insisting so much, you decided you didn’t want to push the teen. And after all, he would just leave you on seen, so you really didn’t have a choice. —So, we were there! Pearl did her jazz moves, Garnet did her… Garnet thing, and I was awesome, so we formed Alexandrite! — Amethyst was saying, a huge grin on her face. You both were drinking some hot chocolate, while Garnet and Pearl were just listening, small smiles on their faces. You have heard the same story over and over, but it was just better every time.  Things went smoothly, until you all heard the door opening. An obviously stressed Steven could be seen. You, along the gems, couldn’t help but tense up.  The gems knew you two weren’t really on the best conditions, mostly Steven’s fault, so they couldn’t help but feel like they were busted doing something behind his back, even if it was something as normal like hanging with his girlfriend.  You lowered your gaze to the cup on your hands, even if you felt Steven stare on you. You didn’t know if you should greet him or not. You also didn’t notice your hands starting to shake. Could you really be that nervous around your kinda boyfriend? Were you even dating at this point? —…You are all late — Steven said after a while, a deadpan on his face. The gems couldn’t help but tilt their heads in confusion. Steven just sighed, exasperation could be heard —. You guys were supossed to go to Little Homeschool to help me with some errands, like, an hour ago.  If the air was tense before, just imagine now. —Oh! We are really sorry, Steven! We just got carried away with (Y/N) here, why don’t you join us? — Pearl said, a nervous smile on her face. —Yeah, man! We also haven’t seen you with (N/N) around these days! Or, weeks! — Her chuckle was empty and tense —. And we haven’t hang out in days!  Steven groaned, with a now annoyed expression. —We could hang out more if you just take your job seriously! Really? Leave me hanging for a whole hour just to hang out with (Y/N)? — He exclaimed angrily. —At least they do hang with me… —You murmured, hurt heard on your voice. Sadly, not only the gems could hear you. —…What was that?  You turned your gaze to Steven, his expression unreadable, stoic, very weird with him. Before any of the gems could interfere, you spoke again. —At least they don’t leave me hanging for weeks, Steven! — You now yelled, while standing up and making your way to him, tears about to fall —. They talk to me! They listen to me! They spend time with me! Things that you haven’t done for at least three fucking weeks, Steven Universe! — Venom could be heard in your voice. And you didn’t care, you have had enough! Why could Steven be all distant and cold with you, and you should wait for him to just say something as simple as “hi” to you? —What do you mean by that?! Can’t you see I’m awfully busy?! — He yelled back, startling everyone in the room. You didn’t turn back, though. —You’ve been busy since the day we met, Universe! — Steven flinched; he knew that if you were fighting and used his last name, you were truly mad —. And even then, you had time for everyone, even me, to hang out! And you had a fucking war behind your back, mind you! —That was then, and now is now! — He barked — I have to help all this gems to find a purpose for themselves! I have to teach the diamonds to behave! I have to-! —How about you stop thinking about everyone else and start thinking about you, Universe?! — You interrupted, tears now falling freely down your cheeks —. You need help! What your mother did was fucked up, yes, I’m aware! But how do you expect people to understand if you just push everyone away!  Both of you yelled to each other back and forth. Despite their whole experience with wars and fighting, the gems couldn’t find enough courage to step between you both. —That’s enough! — Steven screamed his lungs out, and now you noticed he was a bright pink. You didn’t remember that power. —. It’s not my fault you are so pushy and annoying! That you can’t understand that I can’t be around you all the time! I have to mend every single thing my mom did wrong! How can you be so awful?! — The last thing he said came out as a roar, making you fly behind you back because of you being so close to him. Luckily, Garnet grabbed you before you could get hurt.  Steven saw around; the broken floor, some chairs and the table of the living room now broken and away from him. But most importantly, he saw you hugging Garnet tightly, fear evident in your eyes as you were shaking strongly. Amethyst and Pearl were on both of your sides, in a defensive pose. Your (h/l) (h/c) was all over the place, and even then he could see your tears running violently from your eyes to the floor or anywhere they could land.  Gasping, he turned to his old self, regret evident in his whole body. He tried to get closer to you, but you just clenched harder to Garnet, while the gems took an even more defensive pose. —(Y/N)!! I-I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean anything I’ve said! I didn’t mean to hurt you! Please forgive me- —We’re over. A cold silence surrounded the atmosphere. —…What? — Steven asked, eyes full of surprise, hoping he just misheard whatever you had said. —We’re done for, Universe. I’ve been nothing but, but patient and nice! I’ve waited for you, not knowing if you would come back! — You muttered weakly but lowly enough so everyone could hear —. I’ve been blaming myself because I couldn’t help you, but this isn’t my fault, Universe! No matter how hard I try, if you don’t want my help, I can’t do much about it! Silence filled the room. You could see Steven’s tears starting to fall down, but you wouldn’t budge. Enough was enough. —(Y-Y/N)! I- —I… I don’t know who you are anymore, Steven. You aren’t the Steven Universe I fell in love with… — You choked with your words as you started to cry harder —. I hope you can get the help you need… But I can’t handle this anymore…  The gems decided to step up then. Made their way with you to the warp pad, deciding to take you somewhere you could relax and clear your mind. Before setting off, the gems just sent a disappointed look at Steven and with that, they left.  Now all alone, Steven fell on his knees, crying loudly. Not only were all of his friends leaving, now you also left him.
And he could only blame himself for that.
WOWIE HAHA ANGST SURE IS HARD HAHA- ;; 7 ;; I wanted this to end nicely, but a thing led to another and, welp!~ I hope you all enjoyed your tears! ♥ If you want me to do a second part (fluff, I hope-) just let me know, my requests are open!
See you soon! ♥
RULES!

VioletGanache42's Steven Universe Future Experience (SPOILER WARNING!)
Me during the first eight episodes of the series:
Tumblr media
Super interested in what everyone has been up to after the events of "Change Your Mind" and the movie and what will happen in this new story of the Steven Universe series.
Me after watching "Little Graduation" and "Prickly Pair":
Tumblr media
Emotionally hurt and empty because "Little Graduation" reminded me of how me and all the friends I made throughout school went our own ways after graduation and "Prickly Pair" called me out on bottling my emotions in.
Me after watching "In Dreams" and "Bismuth Casual":
Tumblr media
Glad that these two episodes kicked off the second half of Future on a positive note. Between Peridot bonding with Steven, Bismuth having a crush on Pearl, Connie finally having a major role in Future, and the wonderful endings to both episodes, I was left feeling quite happy.
Me after watching "Together Forever":
Tumblr media
A mix between stunned and sad silence after hearing Connie's response to Steven's proposal. Although it wasn't a flat-out "no," a "not now" still proved to be devastating.
Me after watching "Growing Pains":
Tumblr media
Broken because even though me and Steven have completely different experiences (me having Asperger's and Steven having PTSD), we do have similar reactions to dealing with/reacting to stress. (I'll elaborate more in a post I've been working on.)
Me after watching "Mr. Universe" and "Fragments":
🎶I'M GOING OFF THE RAILS ON A CRAZY TRAIN!🎶
No, seriously. I legit experienced so many overlapping emotions after watching last week's episodes, such as…
Tumblr media
…the utter shocked silence after seeing how both episodes went down and ended…
Tumblr media
…the terror of witnessing how Steven's pink outbursts have gotten worse coupled with the fear of how that will contribute to the 4-part finale…
Tumblr media
…the anguish from having endured all the angst in this series thus far, ESPECIALLY in the episodes that emotionally destroyed me.
Combine them together and what do you get?
Tumblr media
Me on the verge of panicking because "Mr. Universe" and "Fragments" ended on a concerning note and a scary note respectively and I am NOT FUCKING PREPARED FOR THE 4-PART SERIES FINALE! THE FACT THAT THE FIRST PART OF THE FINALE IS NOW AVAILABLE TO WATCH DOESN'T HELP IN THE SLIGHTEST!

Why I like them
Oof not only I haven't watched the movie nor the show but what I think about the show ever since season 5 characters included is a huge unpopular opinion I had talked about already lol. But ok. Not only do I love her song, her super smooth 1920's style of animation, her 2 color palettes and designs really reminiscent of old cartoons and her 2 changes of heart and her BADASS weapon and attacks, we do sympathize with how loneliness and betrayal turnt her lonely and crazy and how understand how seeing she never mattered to Pink Diamond who changed friends like nothing happened had her snap. Again, good tragedy...
Why I don’t
...that is solved way too quickly in "I forgive every Hitler because he said he's sorry and we are too lazy to make one arc ending differently from another, remember kids to go hug your abusive family and bullies because deep down nobody is evil : the show". She almost destroyed a whole world dammit ! I am all for reforming villains but DAMMIT DO IT BETTER THAN "SOWWY :(" "WE SOWWY YOU" "8D" MAKE IT SLOW, STEP BY STEP AND CONFRONTING VICTIMS TO HER ! Plus she did all of that to peopme she didn't know and didn't know her because they all knew one person in common who was the one who hurt her. GEE WHAT A SHITTY LOGIC, CRAZY BITCH
Favorite episode (scene if movie)
The only full scene I watched of her was her Other Friends song. Damn do we feel her bitterness and anger behind every word and motion, how determined to make herself known at last and take her revenge she is, how awesome her animation is, how fucking powerful she is and how catchy as fuvk the song is !
Favorite season/movie
Since I watched none because I stopped loving the franchise...
Favorite line
Again I only watched her song fully and mostly know about her thanks to posts but "What did she say about me ? What did she say ? What did you do without me ? What did you do ? Did you play games without me ? What did you play ?" really strucks me because you can JUST hear her passive aggressive bitterness behind every word as she ironically sarcastically asks those while physically tormenting these other friends. How she hated that they all laughed, played together and did things together while she was alone for millenia just because Pink Diamon was a bitch and never told about her and probably just forgot her like a fucking sock
Favorite outfit
I actually hesitate because both designs are cute and very fitting her current mood. Her original design was adorable with its colors, hearts and big pupils, all Fleischer-like, round and innocent, and her new one is badass, with "tears" lines, and upsided heart because she was "heart twisted" and mote pointy angles because she toughened herself up and her pupils shrinkee to show her anger and insanity. Both are super cool designs for an alien species shapeshifting depending of their mood and experiences
OTP
I actually like her with Volleyball ! Both were friends/servants of Pink who suffered either physically or emotionally because of her, went through a lot of trauma and had not interactes with anyone for millenia (Spinel being alone in a garden and Volleybal being lobotomized her body being used by White Diamond like a puppet). They would have a lot in common to bond with, trying to comfort each other, talk about what Pink did to them and exchange experience, learning from each other as therapy until it could grow into something more. Plus they would fit together, both loving to laugh and have fun since they were both made for a person who loved to laugh and have fun, and balance each other, Spinel bringing the fun part Volleyball had hidden with trauma and Volleyball calming her down in her too big excitement. For those who would tell me "hey isn't Volleyball with Pearl ?" I will answee I headcanon all Gems as pan and polyamorous because they are aliens with other codes/pheromones as ours so they work differently in this field, in fact I would ship Spinel with other people too if I had ideas
Brotp
Well apparently she does become friends with the Diamonds and with Steven because the Diamonds are like "ok we miss our shit daughter and you belonged to her so you are better than nothing heehee look how you're amusing" and Steven is "of course I forgive you for having almost destroyed my world and killed us everyone for your issues for one person who is not even in this world anymore, because you cried and sang while saying sorry and that's what I always do teehee !" I guess ? I mean I don't really LIKE that but it's canon so...
Head Canon
She is the only one of her kind, she was solely made to amuse Pink Diamond and no other Diamond or Gem needed this kind of gift. So they used an ore they never used before and never will again, spinel
Unpopular opinion
NO she is not a pedophile because she kisses Steven on the mouth with heart eyes. It was a throwback at old cartoons in which the looney excited character kissing grouchier people was the funniest shit 1930's people had ever seen. Have you guys never watched Tex Avery or Looney Tunes !?
A wish
People to FOR ONCE not forgiving her or any other villain so easily because they just said sorry despite allthe shit they did and things they destroyed. God do I hate how easy that show's way to solve murderous maniacs' arc is. I need people to confront her that unwinding not on Pink Diamon but innocent people who had no idea who she was and didn't even approve her fate when they finally heard about her is not okay and they are allowed to hate her, not trust her or take time before doing at last
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen
Her to come back because it would all the characters would come back into a new season which I don't want, because I freaking loathe the route the franchise took after season 4 and Rebecca Sugar doesn't seem to want to fix it. That would just be pissing on an early dead franchise that used to be awesome
5 words to best describe them
Crazy, playful, lonely, betrayed, revengeful
My nickname for them
Fleischer toon, hidden Cuphead boss, crazy jester

I’ve being going through some life-changing stuff. I moved and got a place with roomies. Not done transporting possessions yet. Working somewhere else. Dealt with car issues. A lot has occurred. :)
Hence why this has taken considerably longer to type, edit, and post than I originally envisioned over a month ago. XD
On Sunday July 16th 2017,  the long-running BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who starring a time and universe traveling body shifting Gallifreyan Time Lord made the announcement that a woman would play the longtime exclusive to men portrayal character next. Alongside companions, the Doctor is the true definition (not the derogatory kind) of a Social Justice Warrior. The Doctor assists civilizations, helps people, tries to alter certain events in time, and clashes against all types of enemies. The most famous among them being the Daleks, of course.
There’s been twelve Doctors (Well, thirteen if John Hurt’s War Doctor is counted...Doesn’t seem to be though. Since Jodie isn’t labeled as the 14th Doctor. ) played by men since the series inception back in 1963. The original run lasted until 1989, the revival of the show began in 2005. Doctor Who was created by C.E. Webber, Donald Wilson, and Sydney Newman. Producer Verity Lambert, story editor David Whitaker, and writer Anthony Coburn also contributed to the development of the series that would eventually become Doctor Who. In 1986, Newman wrote to BBC Chairman Michael Grade, "At a later stage, Doctor Who should be metamorphosed into a woman. This requires some considerable thought — mainly because I want to avoid a flashy, Hollywood Wonder Woman because this kind of heroine with no flaws is a bore. Given more time than I have now, I can create such a character."
So, over three decades (839 episodes, one TV movie, four charity specials, multiple specials, and two animated serials) later, Newman’s words are realized under Broadchurch creator and new Doctor Who showrunner Chris Chibnall (with the departure of Steven Moffat). At the end of 2017, the current Doctor incarnation actor Peter Capaldi portrays will be replaced by Jodie Whittaker following the Regeneration process. This decision is is merely another form of change: a significant theme pertaining to the Doctor’s character as a whole.
On top of that, in the 1999 Red Nose Day telethon episode Doctor Who: The Curse of the Fatal Death was the first time the doctor was a woman (Joanna Lumley). In the audio drama Doctor Who Unbound Exile which is free from the restraints of continuity  released in 2003 actor Arabella Weir played the Doctor. During the 9th Doctor’s run, it was revealed that the Doctor was bisexual even though the character rejected Jackie Tyler’s advances in “The Parting of Ways”. The Doctor flirted with Jack Harkness, proposing to dance with in the episode “Doctor Dances” whilst promising to give him what Rose Tyler had with Mickey Smith should Jack purchase him a drink. Captain Jack Harkness and River Song are characters both from the 51st century where pansexuality is the norm. Companion Clara Oswin Oswald has been in a relationship with a man but mentions kissing women too. When the 11th Doctor touches his hair following the completion of the 10th’s Regeneration process, the character says, “I’m a girl. No, no. I’m not a girl. And still not ginger.” This suggests that a the Doctor could be a woman. In the 2011 episode “The Doctor’s Wife” Neil Gaiman wrote from over six years ago, the Time Lord Corsair is mentioned and it is divulged that Corsair had a Regeneration that switched him into a her. In the 2013 mini-episode “The Night of the Doctor”, the Sisterhood of Karn (first appearance was in The Brain of Morbius that aired in 1976) asks the Doctor what Regeneration is desired (“Fat or thin, young or old, man or woman?” “Fast or strong, wise or angry, what do you need now?”): ultimately Paul McGann’s 8th Doctor wishes to be a “warrior” and is transformed into the War Doctor (portrayed by the late and incredibly great John Hurt). Since the show’s 2005 revival, an infamous Time Lord villain known as The Master went from being solely men into a woman named Missy (Michelle Gomez) after an off-screen Regeneration took place.
Change is important for the purposes of bringing a fresh angle to an established accepted formula whilst having potential narrative merit, symbolizing growth, modern day relevance, and validation to something existing. How change is navigated, utilized, or coped with is equally as important. Each Regeneration leads to viewers, writers, showrunners, and cast members  having to accept that a previous version of the Time Lord is gone. “No more.” Their look, personality, memories, relationships, mannerisms, and whatever else gets scrambled into something entirely different post-Regeneration.
Likewise, the companions of the Doctor go through switcheroos often as well. Some leave us furious. Sad. Perhaps even glad.
My point is that we’re resist to change. Struggle with it. Less of a fan as a result. Which is understandable. However, when a certain demographic has been catered to for decades, altering this comes with a price. To be candid, I find the reactionary backlash a tad odd and chuckle-inducing. As if the time-traveling alien Doctor was ever defined by masculinity before. If that’s your chief defining attribute of the Doctor then I legitimately feel sorry for you. The Doctor represents more than a man or a woman and that’s why this beloved character has obtained a prestigious status among fictional creations.
This is the inherent beauty of science fiction. Close to infinite possibilities at one’s creative fingertips are there. That’s why Daisy Ridley’s Rey being a protagonist and an in training Jedi (General Leia Organa never got this despite her mighty connection to the Force) within the new Star Wars flicks is a big deal. Nichelle Nichols’ Lieutenant Uhura from Gene Roddenberry’s Star Trek was historical by being the first African-American not to play a servant on American television. Did you know that Civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. asked her to remain on Star Trek when she thought about leaving in the late 60s? “For the first time on television, we [people of African descent] will be seen as we should be seen every day, as intelligent, quality, beautiful people who can sing and dance, yes, but who can go into space, who can be lawyers and teachers, who can be professors — who are in this day, yet you don’t see it on television until now." Nichols would further influence Dr. Mae Jemison, the first black woman to fly aboard the Space Shuttle, directly cited Star Trek in her decision making. Additionally, Nichols’ Uhura would serves as a role model to Star Trek: The Next Generation Guinan actor Whoopi Goldberg ("I just saw a black woman on television; and she ain't no maid!") too. Should I list all of the ways in which Charlize Theron’s Furiosa of Mad Max: Fury Road and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman have contributed to the more inclusive than most genre?
The casting choice of actor Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor bothered me from the get-go. Since Peter Capaldi had already been on the series via the 10th Doctor (David Tennant) episode “The Fires of Pompeii” as Caecilius. Not too long after that Peter would be in the Doctor Who spin-off series Torchwood: Children of Earth as John Frobisher too. Capaldi took over the role of the Doctor from Smith in 2013. Why the Doctor’s facial appearance is similar to Caecilus was eventually addressed in the 2015 episode “The Girl Who Died”. For whatever reason I’ve been unable to decipher, I’ve just never clicked with Capaldi’s Doctor. On the other hand, I am still grieving a tremendous loss...Which is actor Pearl Mackie’s SDCC announcement she’s leaving the companion position this December. Meaning I do have some level of viewership enjoyment with Capaldi due to Bill’s accompaniment with him.
I’m sincerely going to miss her.
In short, what has been hinted at in the past will become reality this December. No one’s being blindsided, I’d argue. Not about being PC either. These seeds were clearly being planted prior to.
Yes, this a holiday present I’m fondly looking forward to. Especially after seeing Jodie Whittaker’s nuanced performance as Beth Latimer in Chris Chibnall’s Broadchurch. Or Jodie’s role in the Black Mirror (a dark genius sci-fi series courtesy of Charlie Brooker) episode “The Entire History of You.” Psst, the entirety of Black Mirror is on Netflix...There’s even an episode that warned about a candidate like Donald Trump rising to power. I’d be remiss not to type about Whittaker being in the cult science fiction hit film Attack the Block (2011) as well. All of that she’s done deserves to be seen. That’s what I’ve been re-doing in anticipation actually!
With both Peter Capaldi’s and Steven Moffat’s tenures with Doctor Who coming to a personally welcomed close, my ranking of excitement is considerably lofty I must admit. We’ve needed an overhaul for awhile now. The long awaited for revolution of making the protagonist Time Lord a woman next brings a fresh dynamic to Doctor Who. I reckon she won’t be able to coast or take some things for granted like previous incarnations did. The involvement of Chris Chibnall and the inclusion of Jodie Whittaker has me ridiculously psyched for Doctor Who’s future. I believe both of them will positively contribute to the series with their injection of needed new. I even feel compelled to finally watch Doctor Who again in a strangely devoted fashion (something I haven’t done in years) versus sporadic glances at the telly throughout Capaldi’s run.
