#okay starting from the beginning of where ppl usually dislike him. apple woods chapter. #he doesn’t give hero/partner the CHANCE to explain themselves despite them being relatively good recruits up until that point. #and that legit might be my only gripe with that chapter bc!!! stories need conflict! I LIKE the conflict in apple woods!!! #hero and partner being punished so something they didn’t do! #the misunderstanding! how team skull (Skuntank) actually outplays the main duo with a clever yet rotten trick. I LOVE that it segways into- #one of the more sweeter scenes of guild members looking out for eachother. I LIKE APPLE WOODS CONFLICT. #but chatot just. not giving them a chance. is so dumb. #I’d personally fix this by having a lil montage of hero/partner fucking up on jobs. A LOT. and chatot giving them a pass every time. #and let the perfect apple incident BE the one where he puts his foot down and doesn’t listen to them. bc he’d given them loads of chances. #and doesn’t want to hear any excuse. #but yeah. I legit dont mind him during that chapter except for that really stupid and frustrating moment. #NOW. CHAPTER 17. #UGGGGHHH WHERE DO I BEGIN #Him not believing hero and Partner about Grovyle and the future being in ruin? FINE. ACTUALLY GOOD. BC CHATOT WOULD BE SKEPTIC. #IT FITS HIS CHARACTER!! #BUT WHAT DOES SUCK. IS HIM GOING ‘Dusknoir isn’t the bad guy. he didn’t do anything wrong’ #WHEN HE LITERALLY KIDNAPPED HERO AND PARTNER RIGHT I N F R O N T OF HIM. #(​NO LITERALLY. HIS CHARACTER IS IN THE FRONT ROW WHEN IT HAPPENED.) #and him. having the GALL to tell hero and partner they must’ve been ‘seeing things’ and downplaying the HELL they went through. #despite them being missing for hours/days. his own guild recruits. and his angry sprite showing up. #like. I think that’s when I genuinely despised him. #that and him going ‘OH I BELIEVED YOU THE WHOLE TIME HEEHOO :)’ shit was so fucking annoying. #just playing it off as a joke the second the guild started to believe hero and partner. #IMAGINE IF HE W A S ACTUALLY TESTING THE GUILD’S TRUST. SHOWCASING HIM AS THE MORE RESPONSIBLE AND RESPECTFUL RIGHT HAND OF THE GUILD. #and yes. Brine cave he saves hero and partner. but at that point I just didn’t care anymore. #he fucked those two over so much. that I didn’t care what ‘valiant’ sacrifice he had. #and he grills Team Skull for what they did OFF SCREEN. they couldn’t even give us THAT. #<<< THAT or him outright saying sorry would’ve been nice. this is a bit of an ask inspired by another ask (and also ridiculously silly) but what’s the boys’ relationship with penny like in the future?? i loved the little snippet of her at bradley’s wedding and ice trying to figure out if she’s a threat or not (and then maverick coming back from dancing and saying he couldn’t stop gushing over ice….ugh!!!) but do they become good solid friends? I like the idea of them expanding their circle now that they can trust more people…even if one of those people are one of maverick’s exes

additionally: do her and ice ever talk about their shared experiences (not sex, ice would probably keel over and die, but just…having a relationship with mav)? the thought of penny cornering him is ridiculously funny to me. or maybe they never reach that point of comfort 🤷‍♀️ i just need to know if she ever takes them both sailing and ice gets a chance to laugh at mav on a boat

…for the record part of why I’m excited about this update really is just that mojang is no longer going to announce features that are in-development. for the record I think it’s perfectly normal for updates to go the way 1.17-1.19 went when they talk about big features; stuff has to get changed or dropped all the time. but communication-wise, the community has never seen that as “here’s what we’re working on, subject to change”, they’ve seen it as a promise. no longer communicating that will be far better for the community. no more complaining about delays if we don’t know a delay has happened, you know? no more arguments about new features if we don’t hear they’re potentially on the docket until there’s a working version they can put in a snapshot. the one thing we’ll have to keep in mind is that this will inevitably make updates and announcements about those updates feel much, much smaller. if they hold to this style of communication… we will not hear about upcoming big changes. not until they’ve probably already been working on them for months, possibly years. and while I think that’s for the best, don’t be disappointed if we don’t hear about any biome updates, for example, for a long time—they’re waiting to largely finish them before they tell us about them.

#like I said I think this is a VERY GOOD CHANGE #but just keep in mind that for example if they do an ‘end update’ we probably wouldn’t hear about it for a long long time #personally I think mc should keep to small updates for a while I don’t think they NEED to add much #but if you’re in the camp of ‘they didn’t announce barely anything’ well. they told you why

Honestly, when it comes to deciding between going forward or backward, I’d choose forward anytime. Especially if I’m choosing between starting Kaz’s chapter and chapter 1? No question which one I’d want to go with. Chapter 1 would be a lot of fun to do to introduce the world, but I think I should’ve started with it from the beginning rather than going back and doing it later.

admittedly, it might not seem like there’s three years of content on here, but you know how life has a tendancy of getting in the way, and i like to think i have a decently-sized portfolio!

anyway, i had a look through said portfolio just because i was curious whether one major arcana card appeared in every set, and apparently not—however, the magician comes closest at ten out of twelve! (every set except w.i.t.c.h. and voltron)

most of the other major arcana only show up in about six sets, so it’s probably no surprise that the magician is my favourite card in the suit. i don’t really believe in tarot as a predictive medium, but the aesthetic rocks, and the archetype of someone who will rise to meet new opportunities and can weather any obstacle with a can-do attitude and a sharp mind really appeals to me
