it doesn't matter if they're "just using it for concept art" or whatever. they're still using it and its fucking gross. As a Yo-Kai Watch fan of almost 10 years now, I am truly disgusted. I hope they recall this decision and go back to using exclusively real artists, or they'll lose a lot of fans (including myself, which would break my heart. I love Level-5 games to death.)

I'm still most likely going to buy Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road and Decapolice when they come out, because most likely if the use of AI in scriptwriting/sidequests is real those will be rewritten in the English localization by actual people. Still doesn't change the concept art thing but i've been hyped for these games for too long to let that ruin it. If it goes any further than that tho, i'm probably going to tap out. Which sucks so much.

This is lazy at best and downright harmful to real artists at worst.

Please don't? I don't want any of my ocs in any sort of ai, especially without my consent. I think it's great that there are none, because these characters are mine and I should decide if they can just be lent out like that. If you want character interaction then you should wait for an rp blog or an ask box event where you're asking the characters instead. Character AI of my ocs is not fun to think about.

Seen a couple takes on this and I'm going to say my peace.

Do not use AI to "create" ANYTHING.

No concepts, no prompts, nothing. Every time you use it, plugging in words and ideas, you're teaching it. You're making it evolve further. And you're encouraging the people pocketing money from it to continue to steal from real artists. Because yes, your "harmless inspiration" is still STOLEN ART.

There's hundreds of prompt generator websites out there that provide random phrases or sentences. Hell, there's tons of blogs right here that provide random drawing prompts all the time.

You need to put down a concept? Stick figures.

Do not use AI. Full fucking stop.

(also if you're using AI in any way you're going to be instantly blocked by 99% of the site. So just don't.)

And then some asshole plugs your name into an AI prompter and your decades of work are ripped apart and crudely clipped together to make something in seconds that would have taken you days. And that person claims to be as valid an artist as you. And they sell your art off the back of the same following YOU built, to people who believe it's your art or people who don't care it was stolen from you

...How are you supposed to come back from that?
