PLEASE I NEED TO SEE THE CREATURES IMMEDIATELY ! also now i’m curious what you do for work that leads you to encounter so many beasts
!!! I run programs at an environmental education center. It is in the woods and I take children to find creatures routinely. I also take care of animals in the nature lodge (my beautiful snake daughters and my dumb turtle children) and volunteer at an aquarium to work with dolphins. I spend much time outside for funsies as well and have a mushroom obsession.

really fucking sick and tired of people who really fucking love the eddie book jumping on people who don't like or are even remotely critical of it's posts and like crusading their opinions around from the top of their high horses and shoving it down our throats.
if you like the book, great! that's awesome! love that for you! i am genuinely glad that you were able to find good in it and enjoy it!!
but not everyone did, and not everyone is going to agree with you. so, instead of going on some grand crusade where you find every single post that includes anything even remotely negative or negative adjacent or even neutrally critical and spending ALL this time and effort trying to provide unwanted rebuttals to every single thing, maybe you should just stay in your lane and find people who DO like the book and chat about it with them.
because i can PROMISE YOU, none of us appreciate it when you come onto our posts and start accusing us of "hating on" the author or "being rude" about her and her work and RIDICULOUS shit like that.
being critical of something and pointing out it's flaws is NOT inherently hating on it. i, frankly, do not know where people got that notion, but it's not fucking true so can we fucking quit assuming it is? and, critiquing something is also NOT the same as saying this is shit and it sucks and the author is a piece of garbage. again, where the fuck that came from is beyond me. you can be critical of something and still enjoy it. as soooo many of you love to point out, it's not perfect, why should it be perfect? so D U H. of course that means criticism can and should arise???
also. hot take (by which i mean ice fucking cold because it's NOT a fucking hot take), but going around toting FALSE facts as part of your "defense" does not make you or your argument look good. you, like the author, should maybe do a basic fact check first. 🙃
tldr, if you like the book, that's genuinely great, but stay in your fucking lane and stop seeking out posts from people who didn't like it to start shit in the notes.

''it's not straight up bullying or harrassment, it's just criticism!!!''
My brother in Christ, the artist literally had to delete/deactivate all of their soc media because of how much harrassment they were getting (including threats). Terminally online Gen Z will obsessively persecute an artist for something problematic they drew like half a decade ago, gaslight their apology posts, threaten them and when said artist deactivates and gets heavily affected irl they say ''oh they can't handle the criticism''. This is straight up vile and unexcusable behaviour. You're not doing the fandom a favour, you're not helping anyone, you're only turning this place even more toxic and quite literally ruining people's lives who never had the intention to interact with you in the first place. You use self-righteousness and morals as a disguise to bully and harass people because apparently that gives a sense of control in your miserable life. The block button exists as a way to curate your internet experience because anywhere, with no exceptions, there will be people with different opinions, POVs and morals than you, and bullying a person to forcibly cater to your morals is completely delusional and a waste of time.
I don't care if I lose followers for this, but if you harass, bully or threaten content creators in any way or agree with these actions, block me.

If Valentino dies, I will be genuinely sad. He deserves death, but that doesn't mean I want that 😔
HOWEVER
Vox and Velvette's suffering would be DELICIOUS. I want to see them unleash, well, Hell on whoever took out Valentino (looking at you, Nifty, my beloved little freak)
But I also especially want to see Vox and Angel Dust try to figure out who they are without Valentino looming over and controlling them. I want their potential Unlocked - Angel Dust in becoming free and growing, Vox in becoming the utterly insane and deranged babygirl that he is

Vent post. Because i feel like kicking a hornets' nest.
Honestly im just tired of how people will call someone ignorant/uneducated and will go for the throat for every little thing, while they themselves say shit like pierogis all the time. If you're going to point fingers at others, you yourself should be without fault.
The question is... can you?

I'm honestly I'm not ever close to gaylors anymore I think she is the worst kind of ally and she use queer imaginary to keep us talking bout her. Let me give you and advice, make the exercise to try to stop the parasocial relationship you had with you fav. It's not healthy.
You can love an artist knowing theyre the worst, you can love an artist without project yourself on them.
Maybe you will be less angry all the time for the stupidest shit ever and your life will be a little more positive :)
--- edit ---
I wrote this last night when I should have been sleeping and the english language is not my strongest point clearly but this is a little rant post a big and long rant about anti Gaylor, not an anti Gaylor post. I fully understand why gaylors are even if I'm not entirely sure anymore, not because I think they're deluded, it's because I don't think Taylor is a good person. I don't think she is evil, people are complex, and are more gray than anything. All the things I said about how Taylor is not your bestie are about how you all should be stop be angry in her behalf when someone think she may be queer because its the narrative she is pushing, real or as a marketing strategy.

Dear listener, happy birthday!
Your writing is always a joy and seeing you on my dash always means smiling and also bracing for excellent angsty emotion (and the occasional necessary horny posting for eiffel, high five).
Here is your present, a silly little eiffel question I’ve been mulling over. Do you think he’d be a social media guy? I mean, he’s hilarious and loves an audience but while he seems slightly tech adept its always very tactile clunky retro tech in vibe, and i guess the baseline shame and guilt he feels could tip him either ways vis a vis having a large online following . I’ve always liked how ambiguous time on wolf359 felt because i guess making it more pointedly feel like our time (even though it is set in our time) didn’t feel like the energy they were going for, but as a result i just do not know how to feel about eiffel on twitter or something. Thoughts?
aw, thank you! that's sweet of you. i love everything about wolf 359, but i post first and foremost for people who want to know eiffel carnally. well. and people who see hera as a trans woman, also.
and this is a great question! i love to think about eiffel and social media. he is absolutely, 100% an analog guy; i think he resents how much has been digitized. which isn't to say he sticks to his principles about it. eiffel is a creature of comfort above all else; he's going to use whatever service is most convenient. but he's going to complain.
eiffel has a huge collection of physical media. eiffel still has his blockbuster card in his wallet as a point of pride. eiffel listens to the radio, and complains about what they play on the radio (90s music on classic rock stations? blasphemy), while people are constantly telling him to just listen to his own music. he likes doing this! i honestly think eiffel is relatively offline - his star wars opinions are too normal for him not to be. social media for eiffel is, like... a couple of pop culture news accounts he follows. his youtube recommendations are mostly just music, simpsons clips, the livestreams of radio guys with call-in shows, and, like, old tech repair stuff.
maybe eiffel still posts on some forums that he's been occasionally posting on for the last decade, but he's not in tune with modern social media or internet culture. if eiffel wants to show you a Funny Internet Video, it's going to be, like, star wars bad lip reading. he absolutely wants to have an online radio call-in show, but he can't commit to being consistent enough to build an audience. eiffel might listen to podcasts sometimes, but he thinks 'podcasts' are just guys chatting about movies. he also thinks he could do that, but there's nobody who wants to make a podcast with him. if he did manage to convince someone, he would post like five episodes at once, forget about it for six months, post one or two more, and then get bored and move onto something else.

King Lear may be my least favorite Shakespeare play for a lot of reasons, but I have to say, one part I'm absolutely fascinated with is Edgar's performance as "Poor Tom," because bestie. Bestie. For a crown prince soon-to-be king, you are...terrifyingly good at this madman act. How--how are you so good at this? Have you been practicing? Almost nothing coming out of your mouth makes sense and yet it's...fascinating? Where did this stream of nonsense come from? Are you okay?

The internet these days will give you 'cringe culture is dead! Wear your interests on your sleeve!' and follow it up with bullying someone for watching like steven universe. Like congratulations yall have reinvented the 2014 hipster culture of hating 'mainstream' things.
