If Eddie turned out to have romantic feelings for Buck and that it is canonically reciprocated, I don't think they would do a second queer awakening arc, especially in the span of a few episodes. What makes the most sense to me is Eddie being the one to have always known he loved Buck and thinking it impossible between the two of them.

He doesn't know Buck is bi. Even if he knew, he can't risk to lose their friendship or the stability it offers both Christopher and himself to have Buck in their life.

So I can totally see Eddie consciously taking the decision to not act on his feelings or even entertain such thoughts. So when he sees Buck and Tommy getting close, he closes his eyes and feigns obliviousness. What ? It's not weird, they're friends that go out together, no big deal. He can't accept the truth because it hurts and he can't hurt because Buck is happy and so should he.
