Warnings: Think of a harem and that's essentially the relationship 5wirl has with you in this fanfic. Written before 2.7 and therefore before 2.8 came out, Xiao can make stuff [coughs for you coughs coughs], just some random headcanons I came up with.

Aether is a total sweetheart and softie. He would totally give you gifts on the holidays, and would probably plan a birthday party for you with the other members of 5wirl. His fans love to talk about his fluffy hair, and sometimes compare him to a teddy bear. His sister, Lumine is in the band ILLUMIN8, and is always bombarded with questions about Aether and constantly drags him away from you.

Xiao is more reserved, but is still very affectionate. He’s known throughout the industry as less talkative, but he has a whole group of fans that simp for his voice. He loves creeping up on you and burning his face in the crook of your neck. He always makes the gifts he gives you by hand, and they’re always super-detailed and cute! You have a whole collection of stuffies that he’s made for you over the years at this point. Xiao is usually in the background of the band, tying the songs together. No cap, he’s emo, hot, and popular.

Kazuha is the fan-favorite. He probably also streams, and it’s just the whole 5wirl gang being crackheads all the time, but he also plays chill games like animal crossing and streams with Beidou. His whole streamer setup is really pretty and aesthetic j̶u̶s̶t̶ ̶l̶i̶k̶e̶ ̶h̶i̶m̶. He posts his random poems on tweeter and thumblr (most of them are about you). He enjoys playing with your hair, no matter how long or short it is. Kazuha is one of the songwriters (and he basically bases all the love songs on you).

Venti is the OG member- he came first, and formed the whole 5wirl group, even if it used to be called 4nemo. Every 5wirl fan knows Venti’s signature “ehe~” he does at the end of every show. As a fact, Venti once wore a revealing angel costume for halloween once a̶n̶d̶ ̶p̶e̶o̶p̶l̶e̶ ̶s̶t̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶w̶r̶i̶t̶e̶ ̶f̶a̶n̶f̶i̶c̶s̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶s̶i̶m̶p̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶f̶i̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶d̶a̶y̶. He loves writing ballads and songs for the group.

Heizou is is the new kid, but he’s already beloved by the community. Rather smart and slightly bratty, there’s already a ‘No sh*t, Sherlock’ meme with his face that’s trending. Press his temples and beauty marks, and he’s broken for the next hour.

Lumine is the founder of ILLUMIN8. She’s a lively girl, punctuated by her amber eyes and a kind personality. Fans often see her in public towing Aether away from his manager that she’s sure he has feelings for. She’s very protective of her close friends and family.

Keqing is one of the more responsible ones, along with Yae. She’s a very hard worker, and her fans are really wholesome and usually love making edits of her! Keqing’s known for iconic hairstyle that many say mers her look like a cat-girl. Nya! 🐱

Raiden Ei is a well known singer, even before she joined ILLUMIN8. Her life has been highlighted by tragedy, losing her childhood friends and even her older sister, so she pours her heart and soul into her songs and singing, often having tears prick her eyes as she sings. Raiden is also known for her song, Double / Trouble, but mostly her looks. She and Yae are the oldest in the group (they may or may not be in a romantic relationship… tehe).

Yae Miko is the fanfic consumer of the group. Previously a publisher, she takes interest in writing. From fluff to angst to alpha/beta/omega dynamics, she’s seen them all. Yae aso enjoys writing fanfics once in a while. Yae has a whole fanbase simping over her voice… I mean, it is really silky. She calls herself “as sly as a fox”.

Beidou is known as ‘captain_crux’ on her streaming platform, and sometimes streams with Kazuha. Beidou prefers action games, and she sometimes vlogs herself with ILLUMIN8 just being tourists and visiting places.

Lisa is the so-called self and fan proclaimed ‘Mom’ of the group. She’s known for being flirtatious and *slightly* suggestive- but it's all in good fun. She wore a witch costume for halloween once, and longtime Lisa simps still say that she ‘bewitched’ them.

Fischl is known as a chunibyo, for having such a superstitious attitude and style. She’s also the youngest member of ILLUMIN8, and her signature laughing style/pose is ICONIC throughout the industry.

Kujou Sara is, without a doubt, the most mature, or at least organized out of the members of ILLUMIN8. Before joining, she was known as “Raiden’s right hand” because of how she handled all of Raiden’s important matters, as well as how her family’s been Raiden’s secretary for years. Very well versed in business and battle tactics because “it was a hobby of mine.”

Kuki Shinobu is ILLUMIN8’s manager, with the right to say that she’s more organized than Sara, booking all of ILLUMIN8’s events, flights, interviews, hotels, and handling all of their communications and more, so she’s always busy. Kuki is known throughout the group as “the jack of all trades” because she seems to be able to do anything she wants to do. She’s even got law experience from being the Arataki Gang’s old manager. Needless to say, Kuki is a very hard worker.

“You know many have tried to get past the pearly gates,” the man gestured to the bouncer that escorted me, “and up heaven's stairs, but I have to say you impress me with how quickly you accomplished that feat.”

“Um, thank you?” I replied hesitantly.

“I hear you've been looking for illumin8,” he commented. “How have you come to know that name?”

“Um, back of cereal boxes, like everyone else,” I responded coyly.

“No, no, clearly you do not understand how few are privileged to know that name. Be honest,” he responded harshly, resting his fingertips onto the table as he lent forward.

I let out a small laugh, “Well it wasn’t that hard. All I had to do was talk to some people online.”

The man waved off his security, who promptly left the room, “You’re telling me that you just happened to stumble across the name?”

“Uh, yeah,” I paused as it hit me. “You’re Illumin8!”

The man scoffed and turned to the girl, “Plug the information leak.”

The girl groaned and stood up, “This is the part where I say I told you so.” She then turned her attention towards me. “So either you tell me who gave you that information,” as she paused and quickly grabbed at my purse, “Or I get intimate with your entire history.”

At this point the other person put their hand on her arm from their seat, “You dealt with the last few. Let me handle this one.”

“Um, excuse me? Dissecting personal records is my shtick!” she looked at the hooded man with surprise. “What gives?”

“Both of you, be quiet,” Illumin8 interrupted.

“Hey, look,” I offered. “No one needs to get personal with my private information. I'll tell you who spilled, in exchange for the information I need.”

Illumin8 squinted his eyes at me for a moment, “Mmmm nope. I can get that information without owing you anything. But, I am in the need for someone with your particular skill set. Do a little job for me and I'll get you your information.”

“Nate, no! She’s just a civilian!” the hooded man jumped out of his seat. “I’ll handle it myself.”

“You handle it? You have as much tack as a brick!” Illumin8 laughed. “No, I watched her tonight. She got herself up here swiftly and efficiently. You lack that sort of resourcefulness. Stick to your keyboard, Red.”

I felt very uncomfortable with his flattery when I nearly lost control of the situation back there.

The man called Red glanced towards me, “Turn around and walk out of here now. Forget everything about tonight.”

I shook my head, “I need this information. It’s why I'm here. I am not leaving without it.”

“No information is worth making a deal with the devil!” he pushed.

“Clearly, it is to her,” Illumin8 mused.

“Please trust me on this!” Red stressed.

“Look at her, Red, she’s desperate!” Illumin8 laughed.

“You wouldn’t understand,” I sighed.

“I do understand,” Red gritted his teeth. He turned back to Illumin8. “I refuse to work with a civilian. Just let her go.”

“Why are you so concerned about this one?” Illumin8 raised an eyebrow. “Anyway, now she knows too much. So either she leaves with us or she leaves in a body bag. Which you would prefer?”

Red scoffed, “One job, Nate, then let her go. Look at her, she doesn’t belong in this life.”

“When did you become so soft?” the girl quipped. She twisted out of Red's grip and made off with my purse through a hidden door in the back of the room.

“I'm going to need some time to prepare her for this job if you expect her to infiltrate the target,” Red sighed.

“You best start preparing. We begin within two hours,” Nate sat and leaned back in his chair.

“What? Why are you accelerating the timeline?” Red asked exasperated.

“Because I can’t very well risk her escaping now can I?” Nate smirked.

“Fine, but I'm not letting her go in there defenceless. Expedite my requisition order,” Red insisted.

“You must think I’m an idiot if you think I am giving her a weapon,” Nate frowned. “Defence only. Take what you need from the locker.”

Red nodded then grabbed my upper arm and pulled me as he walked towards the door.

“Ow, what the hell?” I cried, wincing from the pressure.

“And Red,” Nate called out to us, causing Red to stop and look back. “Make sure you share your comms channel with my terminal.”

Red cursed under his breath, “Fine.”

Red turned back and continued to pull me through the doorway despite my protest. He took me through an open, dimly lit hall full of desks and monitors. People in the shadows watched as we went past.

“Really? THAT was your PIN?” I could hear the girl from earlier mock from her desk.

“Quit dragging your feet!” Red sneered.

“Maybe I'd be more willing to go faster if you’d stop hurting me!” I snapped.

“I don’t have time for this!” he retaliated with an extra jerk to my arm.

We reached a brightly lit doorway that caused my eyes to flinch after the dark hall. Red forced me into the room, pushing me back against a row of lockers. He slammed his hand next to my head into the lockers.

“What the hell were you thinking!?” Red struggled to keep his voice down.

“It's funny what one is capable of when it comes to the people they care about,” I blinked as my eyes adjusted and looked up at the angry piercing gaze from under the hood. There was certainly something familiar about them.

“Argh, she’s already in your phone!” he looked away, ducking his head. “Fuck! I knew I should’ve deleted everything! You don’t know what a mess this is!” He paused then suddenly opened the locker beside me, “You can’t wear that. Get undressed, put on my gear. It’s better than whatever that is.”

“It’s my rave outfit,” I defended. I had been quite proud of it.

“Is this a game to you?” he hissed as he finally looked at me again. His eyes were so intense that I had to fight the urge to look away. “You’re fucked now. We're fucked when they find what’s on your phone.”

“Nice to meet you too, Jake,” I said, moving to push his hoodie back. After all this time, I wanted to have a better look at him.

Jake covered my mouth with his hand in one swift movement, stopping me in my tracks. “Don’t use that name here!” His eyes shot daggers at me, then they suddenly relaxed. He lowered his head closer to mine as he spoke softly, “You were meant to forget me and move on.”

I pulled his hand away from my mouth, “I was getting better at detecting when you’re lying to me. I couldn’t understand why you would break it off the way you-"

“Now you know,” he cut me off. Looking defeated he sighed and stepped away. “Get changed.”

I turned and looked through his locker. “What sort of job is this anyway?”

“He wants you to infiltrate into a corporate tower downtown and get access to their server room. How he expects you to get past the armed guards at 2 in the morning is beyond me,” Jake explained.

“Hmm... cleaning crew. A, um... a friend of mine used to have this job cleaning in the middle of the night when no one was around. He’d finish at 5 and take the first train back to our apartment,” I thought out loud. “He mentioned how lax security was about it. I just need to look the part and say it’s my first day.”

“That works?” Jake questioned hesitantly.

“Yeah, I think I can pull it off,” I shrugged.

His eyes narrowed. “You came up with this very quickly. Are you sure?”

“What can I say? The search for Hannah made me aware of latent abilities I didn’t know I had? I suppose we should thank you for that,” I frowned.

“For what?” he didn’t quite follow what I meant.

“For forcing me into situations where I had to think quick and manipulate others to get the information we needed,” I clarified. I pulled out a dark t-shirt and black cargo pants from Jake’s locker. “Uh, so is there like a changing room or...?”

“We change here,” Jake shook his head.

“Oh,” I blushed and turned away.

I saw Jake jump and turn away from over my shoulder as I started to undress. It was reassuring to see he still had standards.

Jake’s build was rather slender so his clothes were only a little baggy on me. It felt strange to be wearing his clothes after everything though. After tightening the belt on his pants, I crouched down and pulled out his black boots.

“Uh, these will be too big for me,” I pointed out.

“But your rave kicks are inappropriate for the operation,” Jake gestured at my heels lying on the floor.

“You can wear mine,” a voice interrupted. The girl from earlier was standing in the doorway. She pushed between us to walk past to her locker. “So... who is Hannah?”

I freaked out and turned to Jake. He clenched his fists and glared at the back of her head.

“You work fast,” I said under my breath.

“You can’t imagine how surprised I was to see that the phone had already been hacked and the code matched your syntax, Red,” she reached into her locker to grab her boots. “That was pretty stupid of you.”

“What do you want?” Jake groaned.

“For my silence?” she smirked at him. “The whole fucking world! You went behind Nate's back to save some unknown without his permission! Can you imagine how pissed he's going to be? To know that you could've opened all of us to exposure just to save some chick and not even the chick you were pining for?”

“Razor,” Jake began.

“That’s master to you,” she grinned. “Go on, start grovelling.”

“Actually,” I interrupted. “If he starts showing any change in behaviour towards you, that exposes the blackmail you have on him.”

Razor looked at me and clicked her tongue, “Fine, I'll just have to imagine you grovelling every time I see you.” She reached out to me to offer her boots, but refused to let go when I went to take them. “You were so eager to find him. Tell me, has he told you why he uses that red eye icon?”

“Razor!” Jake hissed.

“How much do you really know?” she grinned at me as she finally let go of her boots.
