ok listen so my relationship with the transformers movies is so so so so so so so so complicated but GOD i'm so excited for this one to come out

initially i was like "they're making ANOTHER one ???!!!" because literally they are all so bad. its like the pirates of the carribbean franchise they just gotta STOP. but the new movie is with a totally new director and producing company (paramount and skydance are collaborating) so i have HOPES.

I did a little research and apparently the new movie (rise of the beasts) is a sequel to the solo bumblebee movie (aka the ONLY transformers movie in my rich inner world) so !!!!!!

it's also technically a prequel to the michael bay bullshit BUT it could potentially be a reboot instead because the characters in the trailer (the gorilla [optimus primal] and other animals) are the current autobots' descendants so it could possibly be an xmen days of future past situation where the past + future characters cause the timeline to reset. in which case the michael bay movies would no longer be canon. bless <3

the designs for all the autobots and maximals (animal robots) also SLAP btw. something about me is that the quickest path to my heart is robots <33333

I really really love the details with the maximals because !! its hard to see because of the low quality but they have actual fur and skin in a few places !!! because the maximals are the future descendants of the autobots, they're much more advanced, and they're a mix of robotic and organic and honestly it's SUCH a cool detail

and optimus prime's faceplate <333 it's soooooo <3333333333 like i said in my earlier post I didn't initially like optimus' design because it felt. boxier and clunkier than his designs in the michael bay movies but tbh it's grown on me!! it resembles some of his earlier more original designs which is a nice touch, and plus I'm not one to bitch about any robot design that fucks severely.

I really thought that this was being a tad unrealistic, even when I first started thinking about it. But with toga refusing to be imprisoned and taking death in Ochakos arms as a sacrifice, I can’t help but wonder that if (when, lets be honest here this is another fake out lol) toga does survive in some miracle, probably through hawks, what IS an ending in which she isn’t imprisoned? Where is that?

UA BABY! Aoyama was imprisoned there when he was found out to be the spy, toga has REPEATEDLY been in the UA school uniform in tonsssss of official art! Which I talked about a certain specific official art here which was the biggest hint imo that it’s where toga would end up belonging. Will that make parents of UA students angry? The civilians? OTHER UA students, especially non heroics students? Absolutely it will. But that’s the thing, they’re going to be angry but change needs to happen. If toga was under INTENSE supervision and especially Ochako’s supervision then… I think it could work.

Toga and ochako are together, dekus looking away bc he no longer has that much importance to their story, and Aizawa is oddly close. Not yet aware of the situation or what may be in store for him in the future.

But he is their teacher, he is their guide. It’s his job to protect and, most importantly, accept them.

Maybe I’m asking for too much but. I really want toga to get her happy ending. One where she’s accepted and supported and around people her age! Having FUN with people her age! The LOV will always be part of her past, may even haunt her future career endeavors, and that fucking sucks. But I want 1-A as a unit to be a space for her. I want her to be able to say that she’s proud to have been part of the league, but she’s also proud to be here. Both are parts of her.

Opinion on SOME people in the sally face fandom

I feel like a lot of people mischaracterize Travis. Like I feel like all they see him as "Lil gay boy who has a silly little crush on Sal" Like???? No. He is way more than that. He is a very complicated and well written character (imo) and even though there inst really much of him in the game (Which there should be tbh) he is still an amazing character who I feel should be respected more in the fandom lol. But maybe its just me idk. But anyways, I love Travis sm you guys omg. He is the best character in the game to me because I relate to him a lot. I just wish SOME people in the fandom appreciated his character more. (and I do see a lot of that in the fandom which makes me happy !!) I should draw them some more bc i really like the dynamic ive written for them 😊 For u anon, i will share some minor (silly) thoughts ive had about them

-Pepperman absolutely has a little baby crush on this man. TEENY TINY. The kind of crush that means nothing- hes a little 💅🏾 and hes an artist like ur gonna be a little gay w all of the friends you make; thats just the way it goes 😭 Like Peppino is sooooo handsome and soooo strong and he can cook and hes smart and he doesnt stand down when confronted (he LOVES this the most). So people in Peppermans Rich Friend circle notice the complete 180 his personality does when Peppino is invited to outings. Its not that Pepperman is being weird and shallow or fake, its that Peppino is probably his First Friend that wasnt rich and snobbish in anyway. Some part of him really REALLY wants to impress Peppino and it makes him act a little ‘foolish’ heehee 😊

-Following up on this, Pepperman visits the pizzeria out of the blue like MONTHS after he first invites Peppino out for the art sessions and like okay maybe they are friends MAYBE…but like he is still kind of anxious bc the last time he came here he almost got his skinned so part of him is like ‘maybe hes only amicable bc feels obligated to cooperate within the walls of my studio…’ BUT he shuffles awkwardly into the shop and Peppino not only waves but SMILES at him while hes attending to a customer and Pepperman is like ‘HEEEHEEUHEEHOOO………….’

-Peppermans art is worth a fortune; he is very well respected in the art world and any pieces hes made (including self portraits) are absolutely stunning. His abstract art is as beautiful as his realism; auctioning them off and doing occasional commission work is how hes acquired most of his wealth. Because of this, it is a MASSIVE show of good faith and comradery that Pepperman will often gift art to Peppino. Unfortunately, Peppino will not accept statues or huge marble sculptures BUT Pepperman is delighted to see Peppino accept paintings and mini sculptures, even if he LOOKS a bit confused about it 😭

-SO… when Pepperman comes by the shop some weeks later, he is overwhelmingly excited to see one of his pieces hung up on the walls. The feeling of having his art fawned over in an art exhibit does not even BEGIN to compare to the excitement of seeing his art being displayed in this common mans shop. Its a portrait of Peppino, stylized, w some funky lookin colors. Nothing fancy or particularly evocative. Just. Peppino! Looking a bit wistful with colors winding around him.

Even Peppino is like (snrk) “Dont you have your fancy arts in a museum or something? Dont see the big deal ‘bout ‘a this.” But its HUGE its like…suddenly it is not just his muse entertaining his artistic vision…his muse VALUES his artistic vision………..it makes him SO happy. He thinks about it for days. Its like; he had no idea that this is what it felt like to have…inspiration and motivation from an Outside source. His art, while breathtaking, felt like it lacked something…Rich. Years and years of self reflection and introspection and Never expanding his horizons, never realizing he was Capable of expanding his horizons until now…he is just a lucky little pepper 🫑🌶✨

They have it backwards. Canon equals blush. What's the difference? Let me explain.

Blush means a lot of things,embarrassment,anger,awkwardness,etc ect. So,what we need is context on the charters's feelings. Because every time Izuku has ever blushed in front of a girl was because of the sol reason they were GIRLS. He was an awkward kid who thought, "hey,I'm a boy,she's a girl,and I don't know girls! When we look at it with that context,it doesn't seem very romantic. And when Izuku blushes around Katsuki it's because he thinks he's amazing,so,I wouldn't even say that is romantic. (But it looks like Deku has a crush on him in the flashbacks and it's sooooo cute)

We need context. Now,with Ochako's blush,this deserves its own thing.

Show don't tell.

Is what makes a lot of relationships feel real and much deeper,but,Izuchako is all, "Ochako has a crush on Izuku" every single time she blushes in front of him,which takes away from their moments and chemistry.

A relationship that's really good about not saying, "remember their in love" is Kamijirou. Some of their best moments don't involve dialog. Just like with Kirimina and GreeNade.

Two characters' romantic feelings are best and most meaningful when it's displayed with an action before words. Like,Katsuki's apology.

He put his life on the line for Izuku,that was his feelings displayed in an action,then he said what was unsaid. That is how relationships should be written. Don't tell us,show us,then have the charters tell each other. It's so stupid when people say a relationship is canon because they blush around each other and people realize they blush around each other.

Also,this is something I kinda found odd. Katsuki and Ochako never interact. Like,never. There were a couple moments where they talked,and then there's their fight,but other than that it's Ochako making JABS at Katsuki. And,I think I know why.

I think Ochako was so confused with their relationship,and when things starting falling into place,she became distant from Izuku and especially Katsuki. I think she figured out her feelings for Toga after seeing and finally understanding, "it was him,and it'll always be him" for Izuku. And,that speech was her officially falling out of love with Izuku and falling in love with Toga. Because Toga helped her realize how heros are supposed to be,and who saves them.

Which BloodBubbles is one of the best relationships in my opinion because they kinda do more of telling. "But you just said-" I know. Let me explain. I said actions before words,and BloodBubbles did that,but when they shared their words they didn't leave anything out. They both opened up. Unlike with GreeNade,where it was only Katsuki opening up.

See how Izuku has a mask while Katsuki is staring at him with one of the most calm and soft looks he's ever fucking had? Izuku having a mask on shows how he's not opening up,and he still has things to say but refuses to say them.

We've seen Izuku's love,we've been shown it,but now what he REALLY needs to do is let it all out. That's what I hope the Shigaraki and Deku fight,and the black ship arc,ends. Them both letting it all out.

The thing about Sam’s pod vision is that if you take it to its logical conclusion (she’s gay) there’s then an implied combination of comphet and gender envy she would have surrounding Miguel that would honestly make her sooooo crazy like I think it explains so much about why she feels this pull to him but also panics whenever things feels too intense

Like bc he’s the Nice Boy, he’s kind, he’s almost perfect, and if she can’t be happy with a Nice Boy, then what’s wrong with her— She should be grateful, right? Grateful that there’s a guy actually willing to put up with her. Bc she’s A Lot, right? People act like she’s A Lot.

But the gender envy aspect— I think that’s where Sam’s internalized feelings about him move past guilt into something else entirely. Because jealousy is a very bitter feeling, but it’s also magnetizing. She looks at him, at the way he holds his shoulders, his clothes, his smile, his hair, and she wants— And she assumes it’s him that she’s pulled towards. Because it should be, right? It should be.

But it isn’t. Sometimes she sees him talking with Hawk or Robby or Demetri and she gets that feeling in the pit of her stomach, like a pull, but she also feels inexplicably angry. It feels like there’s something… unfair. Which doesn’t make any sense. What’s unfair about Miguel standing there talking to his friends?

But, still it makes her throat hurt, her stomach clench. She knows there’s a lot of things about Miguel’s life that are doubtless harder than her own. She knows this. But— Boyhood looks so easy on him.

It’s in his body, in his arms and legs and shoulders, his height, the tousled curl of his hair. His voice. The boys always listen to him, too. They look him in the eye. There’s a casualness in all of their bodies when they convene, huddling and joking and talking. It’s something Sam thinks maybe she’s never felt; never felt that at ease, never felt that comfortable. Thinking about it makes her feel sick. It’s not fair. She wants— What does she want?

It’s so easy for him, with other boys, and if that weren’t enough, he even gets along with girls, casual and friendly and unanxious, in a way she’s never mastered. He’s so easy to be around, for a girl. It’s no surprise they like him, want to be around him. She does too, right?

Why is it so easy for him? He doesn’t even have to try. It hurts to look at. She can’t stop looking. And deep, deep down in some awful part of her, she almost hates him for it. Which is terrible, it’s terrible— and there’s the guilt again. And the guilt is bitter on her tongue. Her mouth tastes like acid. She’s the problem— she’s so tired of being the problem. She hates it.
