So there's a whole slew of people from TGF AU that I don't think have cropped up on the blog yet.

Mainly the D2 player characters, one of which is the Assassin. Nashi.

Nashi is your standard Viz'jaq'taar, duty-bound and clever. She kills people and she does it well. There was even some question at first as to why she was present in the battle against the Three - had she really come to fight Diablo? Or had she come because of the mages growing ever-stronger in the party?

Tyrael chose to trust her, and Nashi helped save the world.

They grew kind of close, in that brief period where they were fighting the Prime Evils. And after Tyrael was thrown out of Heaven, they grew closer.

Tyrael got closer with everyone after that for sure, but there was something special about Nashi. They understood one another. They understood sacrifice and risk, duty and doing what's right. It was nice to have someone to talk to who really got it. Cain just wanted to understand Heaven, to know more, but he didn't understand Tyrael. Leah understands him better, but as a daughter might, not as a friend. Or whatever Nashi was.

Unfortunately, she understood her duty a little too well, and Tyrael has been known to go against what is Correct in favor of what is Just.

He couldn't tolerate watching a friend slay a friend, even if Isendra had far over-stepped herself. Nashi may have been right to kill a woman she had traveled and fought with, for she had grown reckless with power. But Tyrael was just as right to put her to the sword in kind after she used a bond as close as kin to do it.

After all, Li-Ming was just a child, and it was not her fault Isendra had placed her on a path the Viz'jaq'taar would take issue with.
