Do you make your bed? Yes. Usually after I showered, when ventilating the rooms. Unless I'm short on time. Then to hell with it.

What's your favourite number? 47. Actually I love almost all prime numbers equally. But 47 a slight bit more. And 2 is pretty cool, too. Because it's the oddest prime.

What is your job? I'm a research associate (postdoc) in developmental and emotional psychology. I. e., I plan and conduct studies dealing with changes in how people of different ages deal with their feelings.

If you could go back to school would you? Fuck no. I'm way too old for all that stuff!

Can you parallel park? When I last drove a car, I was able to parallel park. But that was ten years ago at best. So... maybe? But better not risk our luck?

A job you had that would surprise people? I once had a school internship at a dental technician. That's as surprising as it gets, I'm afraid.

Do you think aliens are real? Yeah. The odds are very much in their favour. Though I highly doubt we'll encounter any extraterrestrial form of life in the foreseeable future.

Can you drive a manual car? I'm a bit rusty, but yeah. In fact I only drove manual cars so far (automatic transmission is rather uncommon where I live), so the real question here might rather be can I drive an automatic car?

What's your guilty pleasure? Buying and hoarding cool dice, although I never play with them.

Tattoos? Still waiting to find the one for me.

Favourite colour? That pink hue of the Evangelion Unit-08 from the Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo movie. Also, any colour on the extra-sprectral Line of Purples.

Favourite type of music? A very eclectic mix of anime show OSTs and songs from Welcome to Night Vale's The Weather segment. Currently, I especially love "Inferno" by Mrs GREEN APPLE and "I Already Like You" by Dessa. Oh, and a special place in my heart is reserved for anything done by Unwoman.

Do you like puzzles? Yeah. Though I have no problem with leaving a puzzle unsolved when it gets too frustrating. But I'll happily give it a try for a few minutes.

Any phobias? I wouldn't call it a fully fletched phobia, but I get really queasy at high places without proper barriers. Like, see-though barriers as high as me? Or windows? Cool, love the view from up here! But some meager, waist-high railings? Fuck that's high, can we go?

Favourite childhood sport? Badminton.

Do you talk to yourself? Yes. And I get quite embarrassed when others catch me doing it.

What movie(s) do you adore? Part two (ig) of the Dr:S inspired fantasy AU !

For Nagito, I decided to play pretty heavily into the little mermaid aesthetic since his canon story has decent parallels ( hopeless romantic, tragic back story undertones, unlucky, self destructive levels of devotion) and also because whenever I draw him please imagine his Japanese VA instead of his English VA.

(When it comes to memes , Bryce is pretty good and I don’t hate his voice, but I think Megumi does a much better job of encapsulating ALL of Nagito’s character better( her softer tone definitely helps imo) not just the more comedic bits.)

As for his outfit’s individual details, I leaned into servant’s pretty liberally as well lol. My initial thought for this was some sort of twist on a holy prophet. Like he could be an envoy of the god of the sea or something, or even a water nymph himself.

Like with the Kokichi piece, part of the fun is not knowing entirely what his deal is lol. My Nagito in Danganronpa S had “Ice freeze all” so I gave him hand wraps since like Rantaro he’d probably get cold a bit too easily (and also because in canon he’s pretty sickly) .

The pseudo shawl around his shoulders and his waists have stripes on them, a nod to both old style striped sailor uniforms and Servant’s striped shirt. He also has the skill “debuff” so I decided to lean into the more “gentle death “ type Nagito ( the one seen more clearly in his character songs lol) who is kind of not even trying to be an antagonist but he’s long accepted that it’s just how things are. He also has “sleep”in my game and I like to imagine that translates into songs like lullabies or ballads lulling people into sleep. His shawls and over skirt are white and airy but tattered, to complete the whole eerily beautiful look, like the transience of life that is again referenced in one of his character songs.

For Izuru, I wanted his body and outfit to clash in a sort of way. I wanted to make it look like his head didn’t fit his body or uniform because he was technically “possessing” it. Obviously he and Hajime share one for this specific concept I had, although that was only this design and since it’s a fantasy au, I’ve grown more fond of the idea of them having seperate bodies so I might redo his design!

Though it’s not colored, I imagined him with the typical red eyes and black hair Izuru has. I also really like the “Izuru has emotions he just doesn’t know how to express them” headcanon ( and this is an au so I do what I want uwu) and the Izuru I like to draw is typically the silent affection type. He’s still got the look of someone who is born of apathy but he’ll do things like lean in for a hug or skin ship or be an absolute cuddle monster, all while not changing his expression. Out of all of his design choices , his hair was the hardest. I tried to make it as similar to his canon hair that I could but looking at the references, his hair is kinda a little dumb so I reworked it just a little bit, giving it a more proper whorl and making it a bit thinner to fit the wispy shadow motif he has going on .

The two of them are obviously close in the AU, and much like canon I like to imagine that Izuru is a godlike figure for Nagito, with Izuru being not really all that excited about that lol. I also like the common headcanon that Izuru isn’t entirely ‘bored’ of Nagito and might even be one of the less boring people in his life due to his luck cycle, so that’s in play here. This Izuru is kinda uncomfortable with how much Nagito puts himself down but lacking the full range of expressions he can’t convey it as clearly or bluntly as Nagito would need to see to get it. Part of their character arc is dealing with that and working towards common ground, kind of like a fusion of an old married couple and newly weds lol.

That’s pretty much it for now for this au in terms of characters I’ve drawn ^^

The party has been in full swing for several hours by this point, and the sun has long since set outside the opulent mansion Spencer finds himself in. People are laughing and chattering, milling about and getting to know each other, gloating about their wealth and accomplishments. This kind of place isn’t exactly Spencer’s scene, to put it lightly--every over-the-top boast grates on his ears, and the faux politeness coming from the ‘old money’ in the crowd is getting on his last fucking nerve.

Spencer would never claim to not give a shit about money, nor will he deny that his work has made him a wealthy man. While his work is unorthodox and, legally speaking, mostly made up of under-the-table deals, he’s put in the time and dedication to get where he is now. Every cent Spencer has he fucking earned, and it all goes to good use. He’s never been the type to hoard money for the sake of it, nor does he particularly enjoy flaunting it.

However, things weren’t always that way. Spencer grew up just below the poverty line, in a shitty podunk town in middle of nowhere in the deep south. Even for the town he’s from, he was poorer than dirt, and it’s only been through his determination to--quite literally, in some cases--claw his way out of that situation that he is where he is now.

It’s been years since Spencer was poor, but he remembers it vividly, the memories hanging heavy over his shoulders. Seeing all the wealthy elite around him is getting to him, and he’s starting to regret agreeing to this in the first place. He barely holds back his sneers at their petty, pathetic little concerns, at their meaningless gossip and all the bullshit they spout.

Oh, didn’t you hear? Mister So-And-So is considering buying a second yacht, Miss Who-Fucking-Cares is upset her maid had the audacity to demand a living wage, blah, blah, blah. How fucking interesting. It’s nights like this that Spencer actually considers drinking, if nothing else than to numb his senses, but he manages to hold his resolve.

Perhaps it’s no surprise, then, that Spencer has found himself on one of the balconies, out of the way of the majority of the partygoers. He leans against the railing, overlooking the grounds below with steely blue eyes. The grounds themselves are nice and well-kept, and all Spencer can think is to wonder which poor, underpaid bastards did that.

A sigh escapes him, though it sounds more like a growl, and he runs a hand through his long hair, freeing it from his usual ponytail. His client, the lady running this party in the first place, had insisted that he come here tonight, that she would only be able to give him his payment if he came. Oh, of course, and he had to dress up.

It didn’t take long for him to realize she was more looking to use him as a conversation starter than anything, as the handsome stranger she could parade around to impress all of her stupid rich friends. The only thing keeping Spencer from either slitting someone’s throat or just fucking leaving is the payment she promised, but even that is starting to lose its appeal.

As he starts redoing his ponytail with methodical fingers, he allows another growl to escape his gritted teeth.

“This party fucking sucks,” he says aloud to the empty air, hardly caring at this point if anyone hears him.

Why don't you just redo playthroughs with mistakes? For games like Genshin, can't you just re-order the playlists to fit the timelines and edit your thumbnails by switching the episode numbers?

(Submitted by me, based on questions frequently asked on stream and in my comments).

I personally have rules against redoing the same games for playthroughs, in order to prevent myself from falling into a perfectionist spiral.

I'm only allowed to redo games if: 1.) Multiple versions of a game exist, and these versions have significant enough differences that warrant a new playthrough. So things like remakes, remasters, old/original versions, etc. 2.) The audio or video quality is bad enough that the playthrough in modern day is borderline unbearable to watch. Namely, anything prior to 2018. 3.) The host platform (YouTube/Twitch) removed my playthrough for whatever reason, and I no long have the files. But I now have permission to remake the playthrough. 4.) The old playthrough was incomplete somehow, and I have no way of going back to make it 100% without starting over.

There could occasionally be more reasons here or there, depending on the circumstances, but more often than not, I attempt to refrain from ever redoing projects. Otherwise, I'm actually so perfectionist-oriented, that I have a habit of scrapping videos over the tiniest of mistakes. Until it eventually snowballs to a point where I can't even bring myself to record at all.

In the beginning, I'd constantly scrap my playthroughs, resulting in me playing the same game over and over every few months. And if I ever want to get to new projects, or through my backlog, it's a mindset I cannot afford to keep. Even if that means sacrificing some quality or linearity along the way. (This used to apply to homework and other such complex assignments too - which was disastrous for my grades and mental health).

This is actually a big part of the reason I started livestreaming, and even all my content recorded "offline" is still in that style. It's to prevent my brain from glitching up on me, ultimately leading to nothing getting done.

As for liveservice or MMO projects like Hoyoverse games, Final Fantasy 14, etc., their playthroughs also function as diaries. Because chances are, I'll only ever get to play them one time, and then never again once their servers go down. Eventually I'll have no way of going back.

Likewise, mistake are almost part of the experience. The game may be more coherent if I reorganize videos to fit the timeline, but my own thoughts and commentary won't be. And if the playthrough is meant for me to look back upon to see my own thoughts, an artificial timeline defeats the purpose.

I've allowed myself to occasionally edit out a significant number of mistakes in playthroughs (as to not bore/annoy viewers), but I typically don't talk during those points anyways, and I want my experiences to remain as authentic as possible. It's a fine line of not being bad as a content creator, while also being honest in my thoughts.

And finally, my videos are more for myself than an audience. I don't consider myself a "Let's Player" in the traditional sense like many other content creators on these platforms. I'm here more to archive my own thoughts for myself. I'm not here to create entertainment in the traditional sense, of only picking the best moments coupled with fake extreme reactions or excessive editing to receive more engagement and clicks. Instead, I'm just archiving things for myself. Which often serves a different purpose long after a game becomes hard/impossible to play anymore. Years on, people don't always want only access to reaction meme clips, they want access to a library that lets them fully decipher lore and context. And that's more what a "diary"-style channel like mine does. Even if the diary is often only for myself.

Rebranding is hard

Even if it’s something barely anyone looks at, it’s something I spend quality time shaping and honing at my leisure. While I only do it for fun, it’s still something I pour a good bit of my soul into, which is why it’s worth considering somewhat seriously.

But for me, the thing that gave me difficulty wasn’t the rebrand itself since my old one was such a long edgy-ass name anyway, so this new one is a welcome change. What put my balls through a salad shooter was dealing with the main asset of the brand, which is the website.

Website

It was expensive since I had to get a new domain name — the very thing that made consider the rebrand in the first place. If the domain weren’t available and I didn’t fall in love with it at first sight, I would’ve stayed Avoiderdragon for at least another 18 years.

The blog has a decade’s worth of posts. They’re not a lot since I couldn’t be consistent with writing posts throughout the years, but there are some bangers in there with SEO that I didn’t want to lose. I had previously paid for the old domain for the next 10 years, and I did the same for the new one. The good thing with that splurge is that I could set up a redirect.

Unfortunately, the only real way for me to do that is to find a service that has better options for redirecting. My current hosting service doesn’t have one that lets its https domain redirect to my new one, so I had to route it to another service that turned out to have such an option.

I split hairs for a couple of days and spent thousands of pesos (which I can afford, so don’t worry) to finally find a way to make every URL in my old domain redirect to my new one and still be able to use whatever minuscule chunk of SEO I got for the past decade.

Perhaps this time, with a new and better brand, I’ll be motivated to write stuff that will get way more views so I won’t have to care about the SEO of the old domain anymore and I can finally put it to rest (and save some money).

YouTube Channel

The reason I really wanted a rebrand was so I could be assed enough to do something about my long-abandoned YouTube channel, which I stopped uploading to in the middle of 2018. While making videos has never stopped being fun for me, it stopped being so for that channel with that name due to mistakes I made along the way and all the toxic comments I foolishly deigned to read.

I gave it a long-delayed spring cleaning. I downloaded the old videos I uploaded there as far back as 12 years ago and then deleted them. It used to be my personal channel, so I had some really old stuff with my friends in them. As I counted down the years, it made me think that perhaps I really should’ve uploaded more, but I couldn’t do that just because I wanted to blow up because I know that would only result in shoddy work and questionable ethics.

Video is a lot of hard work, and I don’t want to fall into the trap of doing it just because I had to. This time around, I got a bunch of drafts I would like to try turning into videos I can be proud of. I think I’ll do that by starting over and redoing the videos that have remained in the channel. If I can improve on them, I know I can redeem myself.

Facebook Page

I live in the Philippines. Therefore, I’m on Facebook. That’s just how it goes. While I have multiple YouTube channels because I have no lick of sense, I have one Facebook page I upload all my vids and share all my blog posts to. I also share links and write statuses on it. I don’t expect it to blow up at all since it’s neither a meme page nor full of lewds that would attract eyeballs.

But I’ve had a couple of videos go viral in Facebook. That brings me some hope as while the YouTube algorithm is a cruel mistress and going viral on Twitter is basically setting yourself up for public torture, the Facebook algorithm seems to be a bit more fair. I should upload more on it and see if I can find some traction with more content.

I also used to stream on Facebook because it was easier for me to get an audience through it, no matter how small. But there’s no way to blow up as a streamer in that platform unless you’re a pretty girl playing Mobile Legends or a known online personality. And even if you’re famous on Facebook, you get up to a few thousand viewers at best, nowhere near Twitch numbers.

While its a surprisingly ok platform for video, it’s being superseded by TikTok. Even if Facebook now has reels, YouTube also has Shorts now, so its a double whammy against it. Meta lost several billion dollars this year due to what now-former Meta VR consultant and executive John Carmack would describe as “inefficient and fragile”. Just give the Meta Business Suite a try and tell me it’s not a convoluted mess.

However, Facebook is the only platform I was able to properly rebrand to Avoider.net with. All other platforms don’t take the dot on either the profile or the URL, and worse is some don’t take it on both (fucking YouTube). Perhaps the one sacrifice with this rebrand is that I don’t have a consistency with URLs on every social media channel like I used to.

(I also was able to do so with TikTok, but I haven’t been on there long enough.)

And before you say, “Why not just make it avoidernet?”, I counter that by saying that the point of having the dot there is to promote the website. Perhaps in the future, I’ll get rid of that separator and just have it be ‘avoidernet’ once I get over the need to promote the website through it, but that’s not going to be for a while.

Other Channels

If I get really active, I should post on other platforms like TikTok and Instagram. However, the caveat here is that minding more than two platforms is not recommended as you’d stretch yourself too thin and won’t be able to do your best work in the platorms that actually matter for your brand.

But if making shortform video content becomes a part of what I do, then I might as well give some priority those platforms as well. 

Conclusion

I can’t promise that I won’t be lazy. But so far, with this rebrand, I’ve been feeling quite motivated. Let’s see how it goes for 2023.

#im looking through all the asks from the old blog I want to get through and I'm... surprised #1) not quite as many as I thought. Leo and Dazai are the ones that don’t have a single reference point but are filled with so much dumbass chaos energy that they just. Understand immediately???? I swear to god I just see MC taking them their Blanc/Rouge and being like “here you go sir, one enslaved moisture” and they just go fucking hog wild from day one. Napoleon finds it to be a delightful quirk more than anything? He doesn’t really understand it, but he finds it funny when they change their voice for effect or speak in exaggerated tones. If it’s just comprehensible enough for an outsider to understand--or Sebas gives him context--chances are it’ll send him into a laughing fit

For this one I just imagine MC singing that Ratatouille meme song obnoxiously bad while cooking, and Napoleon and Comte are just so wildly amused by it bc it makes zero sense and it’s only vaguely French at this point

They will ask all about these so-called “memes” and ask for examples of them if MC can show them (either somehow accessing her phone or drawing them). MC draws Arthur the knife cat meme and he about a s c e n d s at the hilarity of it all, points and yells THEO IS HOLDING THE KNIFE. He is correct. They will be delighted and follow along eagerly, and--god forbid--will make their own based on late 19th century struggles.

Is this where Shakespeare got the idea for “What, you egg? stabs him” and “You are a saucy boy.”? I’m too scared to ask. Don’t even get me started on “The Fool jingled miserably across the floor.” That one is just too on the nose...

I can’t even imagine what would happen to Shakespeare if MC like translated vines and memes into Ye Olde English around him. Imagine she’s at one of those noble balls and hears rumors of these two guys living together and they’re so obviously gay and he says “And those gents w’re roommates.” And in the most false surprised tone ever MC just replies “oh mine own god, those gents w’re roommates.” Imagine having a wife that’s just as hilarious as you are and hits you with all the force of a bag of wet mice every time you speak in retaliation, he’s going into palpitations.

Vincent is tickled pink by MC’s penchant for finding joy and/or amusement in nearly everything they do, and he smiles gently when he sees them muttering and laughing to themselves. He wants to be able to join them in what they love, but he has a harder time following along and understanding the darker humor sometimes. Mostly gets confused??? Please give him the easier ones to mimic and laugh when he tries--or just include him in your jokes MC. He’s babie your honor...

But he also. Will not. Stand any kind of self-deprecation or borderline verbal self-harm. He’s usually very easygoing and calm, but for whatever reason that stuff makes him go deathly quiet and upset.

Theo is conflicted because on the one hand, he loves to see you smiling and having fun. On the other, you’re clowning as hard as Dazai and Arthur and he can only handle so many monkeys in his circus. Most of the time he will roll his eyes and be the straight man of this comedy, but you might find him cracking a smile--or accidentally letting a chuckle slip past his lips now and again.

games? -> they exist! most are attached to crypton, who made the world famous virtual idol miku. usually the first one people know and the most recognizable. my grandma could recognize her (my mom can recognize len really easily cuz he’s my fave) (see my profile pic, at least at the time of posting this)

Sometimes it can be hard to pin where an idea comes from, but the majority of the time it's a line or two from a song that sticks out to me. There are some lines that have been with me for a long time begging for something, and it might take forever to figure out a way to do it, and then there are times I'll be listening to a song and something pops up out of nowhere.

Style-wise it's all over the place, with a particular appreciation for art nouveau and whatever it is that Elicia Donze has going on in their realism

23. what’s something you hope people notice when looking at your art

I've always really liked doing details, and I like if they get noticed. Also, for anything realism I will never get tired of the "I thought it was a photo" comments

This kind of depends a little on if we're looking at calendar year or rolling year, because I've only really done two things so far this year.

Proud of the nightmare one because there's not a lot to choose from and I'm still pleased with the technical progress it has vs. the original. Proud of the portrait of Akos because it's one of the very rare things that I still look at and don't see much I want to improve on. Proud of the Lea because holy shit it only took me two hours AND it turned out that good? WHAT happened and how do I do that again?

I’m living for this? On the surface it’s kinda hard to tell when Levi is ACTUALLY being affectionate, because resident emotionally inept bb whom we all love and cherish. So it’s like-

Every time he calls Hanji four eyes/idiot/tells them to shut up/pulls them closer by the collar, everyone just holds their breath because oh god! Levi is going to kill them this time! He’s going to kill them and we don’t even know what Hanji san wants on their headstone? But Hanji always responds with laughter and they’re so at ease and comfortable around Levi and they just put their arm around his shoulder? What’s going on?

So everyone (because everyone gossips during down time, there’s nothing else to do goddamn it!) starts observing them a little closer. Levi sitting with Hanji when they’re reading a book, Hanji always looking for Levi to talk to him about their new discoveries, Levi making tea for Hanji while nagging at them, the two of them just sitting and chilling on a bench under a tree in fall like an old couple. They’re not touching but they’re sitting so close and Levi’s got his arm where Hanji is leaning against the bench. Levi is also looking at them with said /soft look/, which is worlds apart from the scowl he usually sports on his face? (/Reiner’s voice/ You stare too much...) Gross? Another time Levi has his head on their shoulder and Hanji’s looking at him like ☺️ (lil blushy baby)? Extra gross? And when Hanji finally decides to get up from where they’re reading her book in the mess and head to bed, Levi gets up soon after and goes in the same direction? This is the era of relatively carefree buntaicho Hanjo so maybe they rocked up to work in a braid! But after an intense day at work their braid comes loose by the afternoon and they spot Levi in the mess for lunch and they skip over and yell out an unabashed “Levi! It came loose!” They point to their head and beam. Levi mutters something under his breath that vaguely sounds like “the screws up there have always been loose...” but he’s redoing their braid with so much care that the kids just gawk. And Hanji is so casual about it. Adorable.

But when the new cadets come in of course they wouldn’t notice! They see harsh Levi, Levi who is cold to everyone, Hanji who NEVER stops talking, and Levi just tolerating it. Wait! Levi? Tolerating? What’s up with that?

And by this time, the 104 are veterans when it comes to observing Levi/Hanji. So I imagine Jean to be a complete smartass about it- “oh? You didn’t know? Silly young things! Isn’t it obvious? They’re lovers. /eyebrow wriggles/“

And the new kids would be so confused and just wtf? We need more information?

And the 104 kids will milk this power. Connie puts a hand on the shoulder of one of the new kids and says, “one day you’ll get it... Maybe when you’re a little older...”

When he was doing media; he had asked if you could stay behind the scenes, when he was meeting with all the other players; he was introducing you to them as well, and now when he finally got to the locker room where everyone was preparing for the skills competition; he asked if you could stay with him until it was time to get dressed. 

You didn’t want to seem like the clingy girlfriend and also be the only girlfriend in the room, so you were about to turn it down and tell Fred that you could just go find his family and sit down with them as you waited, but after seeing a couple of other wives and girls go in, you decided to stay with Freddie.

And you’re kind of glad for that decision.

You watched as he bit his lip in concentration, his eyes focused solely on his stick. You took this time to take him all in; the way the hair on his face was slightly scruffy, his moustache shorter than his beard. You looked at his eyebrows and how they were scrunched together, causing the wrinkle in his forehead to cease more.

You watched his hands and how they worked, how much more bigger they were compared to yours but let’s be honest; everything about this man was much more bigger than you, and you smile at the fact that he’s yours.

Those thoughts don’t last long though, you’re knocked out of them by the calling of your name, and considering you only know two other people in this locker room, you know it’s either Mitch or Auston.

You turn your head and when you catch Mitch’s stare, he’s smiling and waving you over, “C’mere a sec!” You look back at Freddie and he softly smiles, gesturing to his teammate, “Go on then elskede.” Standing up, you walk up to the two boys, “What’s up?”

“Figured you were a little bored, you wanna help me tape my stick?” You merely nod and he hands you the piece of wood, “Just hold it there while I do the top...”

You watched carefully as he taped the top of his stick and you noticed that it was different from the way Fred does his, “Are all sticks different?” you find yourself asking, and Mitch raises his brow, “like taping?” he nods and bites off the end, smoothing it down with his thumb.

“I mean, some are the same way, like the top part, but most of the bottoms are different, especially with goalies, since their sticks are bigger and thicker.” You nod along at his words, “are players picky about their sticks, or is it any way every game?” he flips his stick and leans on it, “well, some players are really suspicious and try to get it right every time, but others; like myself, it doesn’t really matter.”

“here, you try.” he hands you the tape this time, and you shake your head, “No no, I don’t want to mess your stick up.” Mitch simply laughs, “Like I said Y/N, I'm not too picky, go ahead.” You hesitantly took the tape from his hands and he slowly shows you how to do it.

You’re on your last wrap around and Mitch gently smoothes it down, taking his stick back and inspecting it, “This is a great job Y/N.” You make a face, “You don't have to lie.” He laughs, “No really, this is great...” he turns around and taps Auston on the shoulder, “Hey Aus, look at Y/N’s tape job, it’s her first one.” Auston comes around and nods his head, “Hey look at that, that’s amazing.” 

“Really?” You ask suspiciously and they nod their heads, “Yeah, here look, just ask the guys.” Auston tells you and brings a few of the other players over to take a look at it. Pretty soon, Jack Eichel, Travis Konecny, Mat Barzal, and Connor McDavid himself are all praising your work. 

“That’s really great for a first time, might be better than all of ours.”

“Are you sure you did that and not Mitch?”

“Who knows, maybe she’s the one doing all of Mitch’s tape.”

“I’m not even that good.”

Mitch was happy his friends were playing along, if he was being honest, there were some lumps here and there and he knew that he would actually have to redo it, but he didn't want you to feel bad, especially after he told you it was fine no matter how you did it. He especially didn't want Fred to come after him for making you upset. 

So, he watched as you smiled brightly at the praise, and eventually the conversation turned to the competition, you asking each of the guys which skill they were in and them asking more about you, telling you; any friend of Mitch is a friend of ours.

However, as you were talking with the younger guys, your boyfriend was on the other side of the room with a frown set on his face.

Freddie hated when he got this way, when he felt so, old.

He didn’t mind it at all when he saw you with guys you’re age, he’s not a controlling person, but there’s just something inside that makes him feel guilty, as if he's keeping you from living your life the way he thinks you should be.

Watching them all make you laugh, seeing how well you vibe with them and relate to them, the way he feels he can’t, makes him feel, dare he say it, insecure about his place in your life. You need someone who can converse with you like that, someone who's young, fun, and carefree. Fred’s too old to do the fortnite dances, too old to be speaking in ‘vine talk.’

I mean, he couldn’t even offer you to tape his stick, which would’ve been a young, fun thing to do. Instead, he did it himself because he was too superstitious that he wouldn’t play properly if anyone but him got his equipment ready. Something only the old guys do.

He’s so lost in his thoughts that he doesn’t notice you're staring and when he hears your footsteps coming toward him, he averts his eyes from the floor to his pads, trying to make it look like he wasn’t just doubting himself.

As soon as you saw his frown and the crease on his forehead, you knew something was bothering him and so you wished all the boys good luck and walked over, sitting beside him and grabbing hand, “You alright bub?” He nods and sits down, undoing all the straps and you place your hand on his cheek, turning his face to look at yours, “Bub, talk to me.” He stares at you for a second and sighs.

“I just, I'm sorry that I didn't ask if you wanted to tape my stick, I'm sorry if I didn’t notice that you were bored just sitting on the bench-” His words confuse you and you shake your head, causing him to stop, “Fred, I wasn’t bored, and I hadn’t meant to tape Mitch’s stick, he just offered. I’m fine with just watching you get your equipment ready, it’s yours anyway.” He’s still not buying it and you sigh, putting your hand on his knee, “What’s wrong?”

He shrugs, “Every time I see you around people your age, guys your age, I can't help but feel out of place, and it’s not that you can’t hang out with them but I always get this feeling of...” he trails off and you finish for him, “Guilt?” he nods but his eyebrows are furrowed and you huff a laugh, “I feel the same way too Freddie, whenever I see you with people your age, I always feel like I'm a little kid you have to watch over. But, at the end of the day, we have each other to remind ourselves of how much we love each other. I love you so much Fred, I could care less of how old you are. I could care less if you have a ten ‘o’ clock bedtime, if you only watch golf all day, and if you don’t find some memes funny. You’re amazing just the way you are, you’re all I want Freddie.” 

He nods and leans in to place a kiss to your temple, “Thank you elskede, I love you too.” You smile and run your fingers through his hair, “I’m very lucky to have you.” He shakes his head and chuckles, “Darling I think I'm the lucky one.” 

You both sit there as he finishes up with his equipment, glancing at each other and giggling when you catch the other’s eye. Soon after, it’s time for you to leave the room so you wish him luck, and whisper that you love him while connecting your lips. 

Fred watches as you retreat down the hallway and Mitch comes up behind him, “You little sap.”

hello guys! i am pleasantly surprised with how switching over to this blog has been BUT that being said, naturally - i lost some writing partners. i had a similar post on my old blog but i wanted to redo it and add some things to it! i am looking for long term friends / WRITING PARTNERS ! 

i want to world build, create magical shit together, toss memes at one another, and be able to have 3534543 aus with our characters. i want to write long things! short things! everything really. mostly, i am looking for people interested in the same thing. i would be willing to write new muses/private muses for these type of threads if none of my muses work! that being said, i am slow because i have a lot of responsibilities right now but if people didn’t mind me cranking out shit slowly i would love and cherish your muses to death. xoxo.

Been thinking of watching darkwing duck because it seems cool from the posts I've seen on your blog but I was wondering something, is he an actual hero or an actor? I only know very little from the ducktales reboot and I think the reboot implied it was all a show but I was wondering if that's true or not :P

hes got his own joker, poison ivy and various other familiar-ish, villain-y toons that have ZERO of the sex appeal of their inspirations, and ALL of the insanity and anxiety ITS GREAT batman WISHES his show was as entertaining as darkwing’s

in fact id go as far as saying all the main characters (villains included) are morally gray save for gizmo duck (hes just 100% a gold hearted hero) and negaduck (black hearted asshole with a chainsaw..i love hIM)

the ducktales reboot wanted darkwing to make sense in the world they set up and they made the exceptionally creative ITS A TV SHOW IN THIS UNIVERSE idea to bring it in without having to redo everything

i havent seen the new ducktales yet (or the old one THEYRE BOTH ON MY LIST) howeVER a friend showed me the NEGA TWIST ep and from what i can tell ducktales 2017 has the characters written a bit more realistically and less “toony” than the original series 

while darkwing (original) is like FULL TOON
