ah thank you @yibobibo for tagging me ^^ these are always so much fun! also am avoiding going to sleep lol so here I go

1. What is the color of your hairbrush? umm this dark berry red? idk it’s a very old one and i should probably get a new one :’D

2. Name a food you never eat. hmm, am really not that picky with food. but i had an disagreement with meat loaf for a long time bc once as a kid i got sick while eating it and well. let’s say it came back up :) so i was a bit traumatized lol

3. Are you typically too warm or too cold? too cold! definitely ;; that’s why i hate living here when summer is like maybe two weeks and otherwise am freezing 24/7

4. What were you doing 45 minutes ago? umm watching ultimate note i think lol it has taken over my weekends

5. What’s your favorite candy bar? wow hmm. i think fazer’s dark choco + chili bar is amazing? otherwise maybe kinder’s bueno

6. Have you ever been to a professional sports game? yeah, a couple of times :’D to watch ice hockey lol bc it’s probably the only sport i enjoy... oh, and karate once too! that was cool somehow :o

7. What is the last thing you said out loud? “how are you like this” to heihua in ultimate note bc i dunno why but they keep. flirting with each other while bullying other ppl???

8. What is your favourite ice cream? chocolate! (or if it’s available, i absolutely adore sorbets or some very nice and sour berry flavors!)

9. What was the last thing you had to drink? peppermint tea ^^

10. Do you like your wallet? oh yeah :o i love the flower pattern on it and several ppl have complimented it a lot too? i can’t remember where i bought it but it’s nice and i always feel so fancy when i flip it out haha

11. What is the last thing you ate? some chocolate :’D why does every other answer seem to be somehow related to chocolate... (ah yes, bc i love it)

12. Did you buy any new clothes last weekend? hmm no. but am actually waiting to go shopping after christmas so that i can get new stuff ^^

13. What’s the last sporting event you watched? ummmm does street dance of china count?

14. What is your favorite flavor of popcorn? uh, the normal? is that butter then??? i don’t even know any other flavors

15. Who is the last person you sent a text message to? i’d say @i-am-just-a-kiddo who always has to suffer from my continuous screaming over. everything, basically (i am a very hyper person when it comes to things i love)

16. Ever been camping? not specifically but i’ve slept in a tent a couple of times and done some hiking lol also i think i would love to try?

17. Do you take vitamins? nope, not really? should i?? maybe i should, at least some d vitamin... i miss seeing the sun, where is it ;o

19. Do you have a tan? umm no our summers are short as mentioned and i usually try to avoid getting tanned ^^’

20. Do you prefer chinese or pizza? chinese bc i get tired of pizza very fast

21. Do you drink your soda through a straw? yeah! i love the feeling of using a straw :’) also love it when they are funny colored or fancy or just very silly looking?

22. What color socks do you usually wear? very basic gray/white/black but then i have these random colorful socks too? and something like,,, deep turquoise. and dark wine red. and socks with flowers???

23. Do you ever drive above the speed limit? no i am a very law abiding citizen jfghjf (tho i drive very rarely bc i don’t own a car)

24. What terrifies you? ummmmm. let’s say randomly that i would absolutely freak out if one day i was closing my curtains and someone was looking at me through my window (which is highly unlikely bc i live in the third floor but my brain insists on this one on a daily basis)

25. Look to your left, what do you see? my empty tea cup, waiting to be taken away. so that i could sleep. sigh

26. What chore do you hate most? umm. vacuuming? it just feels like such a waste of time

27. What do you think of when you hear an Australian accent? i feel like the first two things that just pop into my head when someone mentions australia are troye sivan and @ashenwren ♥

28. What’s your favorite soda? coke or pommac (it’s this fruity soda? i used to call it as kid’s beer when i was young lol)

29. Do you go in a fast food place or just hit the drive thru? would usually go to the place but i guess for now it would be safer to go to the drive thru? idk

32. Favorite meat? chicken but i could also say shrimp or any fish tbh

33. Last song you listened to? dpr ian - so beautiful x (this song is so addictive somehow??? and the mv is amazing!)

34. Last book you read? uhhh this book related to men’s studies where the author talked about his own experiences and views on being a man in this society that really much supports toxic masculinity and those toxic ways to show it (i cried)

35. Favorite day of the week? probably thursday currently bc ultimate note :’)

36. Can you say the alphabet backwards? uuuhh not right now probably but if you give me a moment i promise i can

37. How do you like your coffee? just like i like my men so,,, no. (lol that was an opportunity too perfect not to use)

38. Favorite pair of shoes? my pair of combat boots! or whatever you can call my black boots that make me feel badass but also fancy and comfortable

39. Time you normally get up? i try to make it around 10am but i just laze around in bed and i might actually get up at 11am-12pm

40. What do you prefer, sunrise or sunsets? both tbh, sunrise has its own vibe that’s completely different from sunset and both are just breathtaking! (no wonder my xicheng fic is very much full of/based on this day cycle symbolism smh)

41. How many blankets on your bed? one, i surprisingly enough get very hot during night (and not in the sexy way)

42. Describe your kitchen plates. light blueish gray? square. the smaller ones have these blue shapes on a white background, circle.

43. Describe your kitchen at the moment. clean too! i cleaned it yesterday :’D

44. Do you have a favorite alcoholic drink? i’d say long drinks. or just,,, i dunno, vodka with orange juice? always works

45. Do you play cards? oh i did nothing else during the summer but play cards with my mom jfhgfghk it’s very relaxing somehow (also i love to teach ppl new games even if i know like,,, maybe five)

46. What color is your car? don’t own one

47. Can you change a tire? absolutely! i used to join my dad as a kid when he changed his tires :’D so i know the process and would be able to handle one i suppose

48. Your favorite state or province? i. don’t really have one? maybe the one on our west coast, i like the dialect over there

49. Favorite job you’ve had? i’ve only had like two? maybe? and i didn’t really enjoy either but does doing theater stuff as a hobby count? bc i’ve enjoyed that and it felt like a job at certain points :’)

Mysterylover watches Bleach episodes 42-43

1. RENJI’S BACK!! Feels like it’s been awhile. And...he’s being woken up by a monkey. Huh. Not how I expected this episode to open.

2. Back to Ichigo vs RukiBro. (Yes I know he has a name, Byakuya. But for now I prefer RukiBro). And the arrival of Yoruichi aka Hot Cat Lady.

3. Um did CatLady just try to kill Ichigo? I thought she was on our side! Or is this a Genjutsu kinda thing? (a few seconds later) OK it’s a drug.

4. Ooh so RukiBro and CatGirl have a history, huh? Dangerously tempted to start shipping them now. And their banter is pretty hot too. Also WTF? Another training montage? CAN WE JUST RESCUE RUKIA ALREADY DAMMIT

5. Is it me or is this Sentaro guy doing more to try and save Rukia then our heroes are right now?! The leads keep getting caught up in ego-fights or (I’m assuming) going out for drive-thru (Uryu and Hime Where the F are you) and the Reapers who like Ruki are like “We’ll do everything we can”. Damn. Sure are showing up our leads right now.

6. HOLY SHIT KNOCK ON WOOD THERE THEY ARE! Like 2 seconds after I complained about them missing again, there’s Hime and Uryu! It feels like it’s been forever. GET OFF HER COMMANDER CREEP. SHE’S GOT A WIFE BACK HOME WAITING FOR HER. AND ALSO SHE’S LIKE 16. GTFO.

7. Every word out of Orihime’s mouth is reminding me why I love her. And this plan was hers, of course, because she’s the smartest and the best. And I’m starting to think Uryu has a crush on her. (and who could blame him).

8. ”I learned some Karate from Tatsuki” YES. “I was thinking I was with Tatsuki again” immediately starts stripping. Because Tatsuki is her wife. OMG I MISSED HER SO MUCH. Please go save Rukia right the F now.

9. Isn’t this like the 5th time this arc that Ichigo has been so badly beaten he needs nursing? At this rate he’s spent more time in the hospital than Deku does and that’s gotta be a record.

10. Dammit why do they keep talking up RukiBro like nobody could possibly kill him? Like, maybe he is super strong but they gotta at least try to save Ruki!

11. YES WE’RE OPENING UP EPISODE 43 WITH ORIHIME. Thank goodnes. Her fairy friend warrior is injured, oh noes. I mean they’re kinda dicks but they do help her out so I don’t want them to get hurt. And Hime is guilty about it!

12. Ooh and Hime’s gonna have a training montage too? YAS. This scene is so weirdly sentimental. “Not suited for combat”? Well he does have a point that Orihime is a bit of a pacifist. Though it’s a little annoying that the most OP badass member of the squad is getting benched from fighting, i’m guessing, cause she be a girl.

13. Oh man wtf did you creeps do to Hime and Uryu? And this squad of nice soul reapers?! And of course Hime saves everyone and feels bad about not saving enough people. Oh god I’ve missed her.

14. “Is she crying out of fear” bitch please Orihime knows no fear. She tried to save the enemies and is sad she didn’t save enough. Skullface has recognized that Hime is OP but is planning to experiment on her. So he’s cancelled, but at least he recognizes greatness when he sees it.

15. Squad dude calls her a “delicate woman’ Hime promptly bites him. I’m starting to realize that she’s like the girl version of Goku. I feel like the series is going out of it’s way to get her out of the fight because if she was involved it’d be over too quickly.

16. Apropos of nothing, Uryu and Hime look real good in those Soul Reaper uniforms. Like, dayum. They’re already the prettiest characters and now they’re sharp-dressed too.

17. And skullface has hurt his lieutenant? and punched her? And doesn’t care she’s dying? My god soul reaper society is so freaking cancelled.

18. Wow Uryu. Like 5 seconds fighting without Hime and you’re basically dead already. Getting rid of her was such a dumb idea. Sure, get rid of your Shield and White Mage while you’re fighting an OP opponent. Seems like a great idea.

19. Uryu gonna protect the Lieutenant now? Yas. He and Hime being kind to to their foes, cause they’re the best.

20. OMG WTF?! “collecting bodies” experimenting, good god so fucking cancelled. and this guy killed Uryu’s master? PLEASE KILL HIM URYU. “MY NAME IS URYU ISHIDA. YOU KILLED MY MASTER. PREPARE TO DIE”.

The Assassin Class - Palladium Fantasy. Part 2.

Previously you followed me as I wandered down the character generation checklist for the Palladium Fantasy RPG. On my way to creating a version of The Magpie for the system.

As I went I mentioned that the Assassin Hand To Hand (HTH) skill was a big draw to the assassin class, but I didn’t say why.

In the Palladium system skills level up as the character does (fairly standard stuff). All the percentage based ones start with a base chance with a bonus per level. The ones that modify attributes don’t really improve much and you have to pick them again if you want to get the bonuses again. Weapon Proficiencies (WP) give different bonuses as they level up. One level you might get a bonus to strike (hit) and the next a bonus to damage, or an extra attack. But all these stack and they stack with all your other bonuses from weapon proficiencies. So if one level give you a +3 to parry, that’s parrying with everything. A bonus to damage is a bonus to all damage.

When it comes to HTH you get that but you get special attacks and other things that change the way that combat plays out. There’s even a whole game for the Palladium system, Ninjas and Superspies, that adds a bunch of mythical and real-world styles to the game engine.

The Assassin HTH was considered to be the ‘best’ HTH style to have and was the most difficult to get if you weren’t playing an assassin. Of course the assassin starts with it and can’t change (although later books do have additional styles, such as the Gladiator, that they can pick instead.

Fir the Palladium Fantasy version of The Magpie, I’m going to losely use the NPC write-up format as a basis instead of a character sheet. That way I won’t have to break out the drawing board and pen. I’m going to give you a 1st, 5th, 10th and 15th level versions of the character. Not just 1st and 15th.

The weapon stats are derived from the Compendium of Weapons, Armor and Castles, also published by Palladium Books, originally way back in 1981.

They also have a water skin, set of lock picks, 50′ of rope, a grappling hook, 5 iron spikes, a small hammer, a pocket mirror and a tinderbox.

Background: This is Jay having escaped from Castle Magvyr and first making their way in the world.

Alignment: Aberrant. Hit Points: 46 S.D.C.: 23 Weight: 132 lbs. Size: 5′9″ Age: 30 Sex: Intersex

Disposition: Jay is driven by their quest, but not so much that they are incapable of diversions. Everywhere they go they find echoes of Magvyr’s evil. Every time they find that they cannot turn away from eradicating it. They can be a little intense and “edgy”. Octavia mocks them for it. They circle problems, looking for a weak spot, before striking. R.C.C.: Human O.C.C.: Assassin Experience Level: 5th.

Psionic Powers: Major Psionics. I.S.P.: 59. Bio-regeneration, Summon Inner Strength, Meditation, See Aura, Sixth Sense, Telepathy.

They are wearing a different set of studded leather armour (A.R.: 13, S.D.C. 38), which is enchanted as to be weightless. Over this they have a new hooded cloak (with only 6 concealed pockets). They have a couple of changes of clothing, boots, soft leather gloves, belt, bedroll, purse (with over 1000 gold), a backpack, a medium sized sack and 3 small ones. They also still have a water skin, set of lock picks, 50′ of rope, a grappling hook, 4 iron spikes, a small hammer, a pocket mirror and a tinderbox.

Background: Jay has gathered a group of like minded individuals under the guidance of Sage Bide. Including Jay’s youngest sister, Octavia. Together they will slay Duke Magvyr with the rune dagger “Blood Feud” and destroyed his hellish castle. Only Jay and Octavia will survive to tell of it.

During this time Jay has become literate (Literacy) and gained a familiarity with the world’s seedier underbelly (Streetwise).

Disposition: The closest thing Jay has ever had to a true love sits on the Imperial Throne. The only thing that they can be is her Left Hand. Still quiet and thoughtful; secretive and hidden, they prefer the indirect approach to resolving situations. R.C.C.: ‘Human’ O.C.C.: Assassin Experience Level: 10th.

Psionic Powers: Major Psionics. I.S.P.: 87. Bio-regeneration, Summon Inner Strength, Meditation, See Aura, Sixth Sense, Telepathy.

They wear a leather doublet, which is actually Leather of Iron (A.R.: 15, S.D.C.: 110. Enchanted to be weightless). Over which they wear the Shadow Stalker’s Cloak (A.R.: 15, S.D.C.: 250. Renders the wearer nigh invisible in shadow, granting a +30% to prowl. Wearer can step between any shadows within 100′ of each other instantly. A.R. only applies to attacks against the cloak itself.) I have to admit, the pace of the last few weeks had drawn my vitality, and I was in desperate need of some rest.

I had a nightmare where some screaming monster attacked me, but a karate chop sent it spinning away.

Of course, when I woke up the monster turned out to have been my alarm, and the event was long since ended.

I managed to bribe one of the few who had been there to give me a copy of the footage taken, and a Close review revealed that the winners had been:

It would seem the signuptime and endtime was somewhat wrong for many Commanders. Compared to the previous Birthday event fourty-three fewer showed up.

Given the low number of contestants it should not come as a surprise that a total of four Silvers and seventy Bronzes from ten tops ended unclaimed and were returned for resmelting

The last half-hour saw two Golds changing hands, while five Golds were held for more than two hours.

Sounds like a mixed event, to see how mixed we take a look at the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event:

The two lowest tops (K10 and K11) had no medal attacks. on the other hand, the most populous top (K5) was a swirling chaos where only one medal was held for the entire scramble. The other tops had varying degree of action, from just the Gold strike on Mount Olympus to pretty tough going on K7.

Kens Squirrels Nest was yet again the only multi-Gold winning clan. This time they grabed a trio of Golds (from K3, K5 and K8)

The sole repeat winner was Fabio Favaro on Mount Olympus, and we had an unaligned winner this time as well; Map Chapp on K11.

Upcoming event: Birthday Rainbow

This time we get a Rainbow event. As far as I can determine it is a double one, so do not use more than two Mechs from each model.
