I know Conrad told Cleveland she's always been a little kid and now she's not but y'all took that way too literally. my mans went and bought her the infinity necklace for her birthday at the beginning of the summer (bc her birthday is before July 4th), maybe even before the beginning of the show. He bought her the infinity necklace prior to all of the moments they shared in the show, before the almost kiss, before Cam, before the jealousy, before the drama.

*playtime inside with ball makes her happy!*

Isn't that crazy?! Matthew likes to say she's just smashing the buttons but then we have proper conversations like this and I looove to rub it in his face that she does in fact understand what she's talking about 😏

Anyway work this morning was mega stressful. Not helped by the fact I'd tossed and turned all night unable to sleep 😭 But it was so nice to see Uncle Manager and all the dogs playing together! Maggie looked so happy and she was so polite with everyone we passed because she was off her lead and with other normal dogs. A bike even went straight past her and she was able to still listen to me and come back when I called her! So proud. Took her to the beach before we drove home as a treat for being such a good girl ❤

I cannot stress this enough: I love Ed as a character the same way I love the rest, maybe even more. His point of view, interrogating his motives, validating his choices, are all elements of my writing for this show that I enjoy and focus on. I want to give him a soft epilogue. I want him to be happy and loved. I think most people who love Izzy also love Ed in this way. I really really don't think it's an either or situation.

when I reread this before the show came out all I could think was there's no way they can bring this description to the screen...how could they possibly give him a smirky mouth that has us all wanting to smooth it out and make it ours? I took a moment to accept that they probably couldn't get all the small details of the characters' physical appearances right and I forgot about it.

until I watched the show...and I'll be damned. idk how they did it, but they did it, and it's criminally underrated:

Belly I get it now. I see his "smirky kind of mouth" and girl I'm staring at it with you. I'll smooth it out and kiss the smirkiness away myself if I have to.
