Wellness Wednesday:
Losing My Cool
I've never been this irritated with working out.
I can't wait for this to be over... but... the finish line is soo close - I feel obligated to stick it out.
For the last week or so it has been taking me hours to get motivated to workout. Which ends up making me stay up later than I want, which affects my sleep, which affects my work/attitude.
I could go for a break, but then I know my weight/progress will probably go to crud and then I will be more disappointed and feel guilted into working out more.
My Burritos were the only saving grace this week... but... also the reason for my extra workouts... because, ya know... dem Burritos were stacked.
...
"Dem Burritos Were Stacked"...? What does that even mean?

Closing Thoughts:
The Good:
Did you see my meals for Thursday through Sunday... I was in Burrito Heaven!
The Bad:
My Deep, Coveted, Passion for Burritos/Mexican cuisine heavily outweigh my desire to workout. I've been working out almost ever single day for 10.5 months and I can honestly say I am NOT addicted to working out and still despise it to my very core. This week it has abundantly apparent that I am ready for this challenge to be over.
Speaking of addiction... I may problem with my Popcorn intake.
The Ugly:
Holiday Season is officially stressing me out... Dredding the the final 6 weeks of the year.

🌮 Mushroom Chicharron Street Tacos: Three street tacos filled with grilled onions and carefully battered mushrooms, fried till crisp. Paired with cabbage, carrots, cilantro, and homemade cream with a limon wedge on the side
🫔 "Chicken" Mole Enchiladas: Three vegan "chicken" enchiladas topped with mole sauce and sprinkled with white cheese
🥣 Tortilla Soup: Vegetables with fried corn tortillas, rice and avocado

Dine-Out Meals of May 2023, Ranked (Part 1)
I ranked the following based on taste alone. I made no consideration for ambiance or the general dining experience or whatever. I included meals I got to go. I included food trucks, catered meals, and fast food.
I haven't confirmed, but I believe this is the most restaurant meals I've ever eaten in a single month, mostly due to time spent on the road. So many meals that I've apparently hit the character limit for Tumblr. I'll have to break it up into two posts. This is the top 20 meals; the next post will be the rest. The top four meals will be in consideration for best of the year
Should you be interested in the pictures or reading the few words I had to say about each meal, click on the home page and scroll down or see the archives.

Contacted my therapist, talked through some things.
Played Minecraft, turned mobs off coz I wanted to die from my own dumb mistakes only while exploring a huge cave. (I found diamonds!!)
Went to the store, bought cereal, cookies, and Mexican street corn flavored Cheetos (??).
Tired again. Need to come up with something for dinner coz the bean soup won't be ready. Almost bought a giant bowl of crab meat at the grocery but figured I probably couldn't with my EBT coz it was prepared food and I didn't have any normal money. Else that coulda been dinner. Damn.

Victorian street food and what did they sell?
The Victorian’s was also Fast Food eaters but their Fast Food was not the same as our Fast Food, most street food contained:
hot eels, pickled whelks, sheep's trotters, ham sandwiches, peas'-soup, hot green peas, penny pies, plum 'duff,' meat-puddings, baked potatoes, spice-cakes, muffins and crumpets, Chelsea buns, sweetmeats.
Hot Eels sounds very gross
Eel pies
The pies began life as eel pies, but over time the pies were made with minced beef and onion; mashed potatoes speak for themselves; and the liquor is the special part. It is made from an eel gravy and is heavily flavoured parsley sauce. You must put on liberal amounts of salt, vinegar and pepper or chili on there too.

Wellness Wednesday:
Sick...Like a Dawg
My first time being sick this year - and - it's not a total shock - typically when the weather gets better I tend to get worse.
Good news though - I am not too sick that I can't function. Still able to hang with my fam (for the most part) and complete my workouts.
I will say I did have to take a massive siesta on Saturday and Sunday - helped out a lot - but still didn't eradicate sinus infection.
I have a road trip planned for this weekend - hoping I recoup before Friday - otherwise it will be a long weekend.
In other news...
Having massive home/yard project taking place. Very excited for it to be completed - because it has been a dream for a long time.
And...
Loss a little over 4 pounds this week - one benefit of being sick. I still need to find a way to reward myself.
And...
Possibly a small surprise on the horizon. Not 100% official, so not getting my hopes up - we'll see next week.

Closing Thoughts:
The Good:
A benefit to my illness. I've been getting good sleep. Granted I spent my entire Saturday and Sunday in bed recouping, but it has readjusted my sleep schedule for the better.
Loss over 4 pounds this week - illness probably played a factor.
Have some massive home improvements happening - very excited.
The Bad:
Have some massive home improvements happening- very anxious.
Loss 4 pounds this week. Illness probably played a factor - fully expecting weight gain next week once I feel better and have a greater appetite.
The Ugly:
I've had a sinus infection for a full week now. Waking up every more I feel like the walking dead.
