Where they’d take you on your first date | ENHYPEN

⊹ ࣪ ˖ yang jungwon

⟡ ARCADE (turned into a boba date)

· he’d be literally the CUTEST.

· Trying to impress you and all, trying his absolute best to win all the cute plushies for you. (AGHH.)

· but instead you both end up fresh out of coins, but, it isnt all bad! He had managed to at least score you a mini cat plushie that you had both mutually named Jungwon jr. due to Jungwon, well, looking and acting like a cat!

· Afterwards you two hung for a little bit, but eventually ended up bored and a bit thirsty.

· “There’s a boba shop across the street, maybe about a 2 minute walk.. would you wanna? go..?” He acted shy, contrary to his confidence previously in the arcade. You found it very endearing.

· The two of you eventually walked to the boba shop, and ordered your drinks. Whilst waiting a conversation sparked and it caused the two of you to loosen up a bit, but, halting to an abrupt stop due to Jungwon’s name being called to pick of the pair of drinks you both ordered,

· As you chatted, taking sips of your surprisingly sweet drink, the date had seemed to come to an end. A bittersweet end at that, it seemed to short to continue further, yet too long to forget about.

· He seemed to be a bit less tense than before, gathering the courage to ask you out the next week; And, you happily agreed.

⊹ ࣪ ˖ lee heeseung

⟡ BOWLING

· alike Jungwon, i feel like he’d be trying his best to impress you, but at the same time trying to beat you, which, would also be to impress you 😭

· to be honest i feel like he would do a dorky little dance, and then turn around right after and would smirk everytime he got a strike, or a higher number of pins hit than you.

· you can hear him singing along to the bowling alley music playing faintly, it calms you down.

· his cockiness wouldn’t start up until you and him were just barely tied. At that point it had been about an hour of bowling and he wanted to make a bet.

· “If i win, i get to take you on another date. If you win, i’ll buy you dinner” dinner is dinner, and it wasn’t like you were drowning in money so you agreed!

· just when Heeseung thought he had the upper hand, you swooped in and somehow hit two strikes in a row. Safe to say he was done for; you could tell by the dumbfounded look on his face..

· “deal is a deal! You’ll have to buy me dinner now.” You smiled up at him, he nodded, and let you pick a place that the two of you would stop on the way to your house to eat at.

· you both happily stuffed your faces with spicy kimchi jjigae, gimbap, etc. And boy was heeseung enjoying it. Maybe even more than you

· by the end of the night you both were quite content, and so the next time he texted you, you agreed to his picnic date.

⟡ DINNER DATE

· now, if we know anything about jay, it’s that he’s very classy. And.. ahem.. rich..

· so naturally, when you showed up to the spot he had asked to meet you at for dinner, your jaw was on the floor.

· one of the MOST expensive italian restaurants in the city you lived. I mean, you knew he was wealthy but not this wealthy

· however, instead of gawking at the beautiful architecture on the outside of the rather large restaurant, you decided to step into it. You saw a taller figure start to walk over to you.

· “___? Ah yes, it’s you” His warm smile didn’t match his dapper appearance, dressed head to toe in what looked to be expensive clothing. The two of you shook hands and exchanged awkward looks whilst walking to your reserved table.

· it was a bit fancy for your taste, but you didn’t mind. Infact, you felt comfortable. Jay’s warm, and comforting aura had made you a bit less tense, being surrounded by a bunch of expensive food and people

· and it took you by surprise. Because most rich guys are douche bags (not all, but most.)

· The two of you ordered, and made some small talk whilst waiting. Giggling about silly childhood stories, shared interests, and many other topics you both browsed upon

· The food came and you both feasted. casually sipping on wine inbetween bites of food, you were in heaven.

· by the end of the dinner, you were expecting to split the bill, but jay flat out refused. Instead he payed quickly and whisked you away to his car, driving you home and wishing you well.

· that night was unforgettable. So, when he texted you asking you to come to his place for dinner the next Sunday, you hastily agreed.

⟡ POTTERY CLASS

· Jake naturally wanted to come off as fun, caring, and creative. So, he decided to spontaneously book a 2 person pottery class for your first date.

· It was cute, you thought, but you weren’t prepared to fall so inlove with him once the date commenced.

· “___”? a husky, australian-accented spewed from your phone. You smiled, replying “Yes! this is jake right?” you were waiting outside of the designated place, awkwardly looking around for your date.

· suddenly, you saw him. His smile was bright, his outfit just the right amount of comfy, and casual. He seemed like a nice guy. (he is. OBVI.)

· “let’s go inside then?” he smiled at you, holding the door wide open. You nodded, making your way to the room where you two were taking the class.

· once the two of you sat down, you got a brief explanation of what you could make, what techniques to use, and that the teacher would be there to help if the both of you needed anything.

· once you both started working on your creations, it’s like the conversation started flowing out of you two.

· Jake was just so charming, you could listen and look at him all day. And you were really impressed by his dog dad skills. He thoroughly enjoyed talking to you about layla, her personality, what she likes, how he got her, all of the above. And you? You found it quite charming.

· Jake ended up making a dog bowl for layla, but had finished early, so instead of sitting to wait for you he had used his extra time to make a mini vase.

· when you eventually finished, the teacher went ahead and had the two of you paint the clay, and then put them in the kiln (clay baker oven thingy idk) the pottery had to be picked up the following day, since it took a bit to fire up and dry.

· “would you possibly.. wanna come back tomorrow and pick them up with me? We can get food or something uh.. like that after!” his sweet, awkward smile caused a chain reaction, to which you started smiling as well and softly agreed.

· that following day was the best date you had ever had.

⊹ ࣪ ˖ park sunghoon

⟡ ICESKATING RINK

· park sunghoon had thoroughly thought this out, atleast he thought he did. He wasn’t the best at first impressions, or first dates. So he tried to eliminate all the ones that involved the most talking, but still included ones that had some talking. Truth be told, he was very nervous.

· He still wanted to get to know you though, so he eventually ended up picking the iceskating rink. Somewhere that he was familiar with, whilst still being fun and still being able to have a bit of conversation with eachother.

· once you pulled up to the place, you were pleasantly suprised to see the handsome man standing near the entrance, waiting for you. You stepped out of your car, and ran up to him, excitedly greeting him smiling. “___ um is it?” you could tell he was a bit nervous, but you were too excited that you just brushed it off.

· flooding into the rink, they weren’t many people since it was a weekday. But sunghoon just followed behind you. “one pair of x size skates please!” you seemed more excited to skate rather then talking to sunghoon, but i mean who isnt excited for iceskating?

· once you got onto the ice you immediately felt yourself falling back, but you were quickly embraced by sunghoon, who had caught you from behind. “oh my god thank you.. i could’ve fallen” you smiled at him, instead he just looked away, an embarrassed look on his face. “it’s nothing.. it’s kinda my job as your date” His response was cute. You took eachothers hands, and began gliding onto the ice.

· you and sunghoon were the only ones on the ice, the only others in the building were the workers, and a few families and couples leaving the rink. The silence was nice, and you both clearly enjoyed it.

· although you were excited, you could barely skate. So, sunghoon helped you, holding your hand extra extra tight. The whole time was quite enjoyable. Sunghoon opened up a bit, and you managed to steer the conversation in all the right ways.

· by the end of the date, you were both smiling and holding hands, even off of the rink.

· The following week you had asked sunghoon to a date at a cafe, and he said yes right away.

⊹ ࣪ ˖ kim sunoo

⟡ PICNIC DATE

· you thought the idea of a picnic date was cute, especially since it was in nature and you always thought nature was gorgeous.

· you and sunoo had texted a bit prior to the designated date, and he had asked you your preferences for food, if you were allergic to anything, etc. You found it sweet of him. Little did you know he’d go ALL OUT.

· the date area was a bit of a walk from the park entrance, since it was quite secluded. So, sunoo gave you instructions to walk a certain path towards the lakeside of the park. It was about 5 minutes from your car, but it was definitely worth the walk based off of the stunning view.

· “___!! Hey! Over here!” a sweet voice called to you, from the tree right on top of the hill looking out on the glistening lake. It was quiet romantic, you thought to yourself for a moment before heading over to the picnic spot

· your eyes widened at all of the food before you. All of your favorites! “Sunoo! thank you so much oh my goodness.. You didn’t have to buy all this much! i really appreciate it.” you quickly sat in the empty spot, waiting for his response.

· “It’s no problem really! It’s a date, so i figured i’d get all your favorites. Surprisingly a lot of the food you like are also my favorites!” he smiled as you reached for the strawberry tanghulu infront of you. You ate it and your eyes lit up “YUMM!!!!” You began to eat more and more snacks, and sunoo followed after you, eating a handful or so of various snacks.

· causal conversation started up, and you two found out that you had a lot in common, not just your love of snacks. You both liked mint chocolate, taking selfies, singing, and way way more. It’s like you two clicked instantly.

· by the time the sunset was nearing, most of the food was gone. And clearly both of you were quite full, so you decided to wrap up the date. You helped him clean up and walk over the remaining snacks and picnic decor to his car, saying your goodbyes and smiling at eachother.

· within the next couple of days sunoo had invited you to an exclusively mint choco themed pop up café! The two of you had the time of your lives.

⊹ ࣪ ˖ nishimura riki

⟡ PAINTING CLASS

· much like jake, niki wanted to seem interesting and decided on picking a cute painting class for the first date. It was either that or a café, and well, cafes are quite basic..

· you were the artistic type, so you humbly agreed, smiling the whole time whilst texting him. He was completely your type, so you were extra excited for this date!

· niki had been extra early, accidentally messing up the times and arriving 20 minutes early. It didn’t bother him though, he just waited until, you showed up. And once you did, he greeted you, and held the door open to the building; smiling whilst doing so

· the place was cute and cozy. From the outside it was quite dull, but when you two walked in it felt immediately warm and home-like. Niki seemed to be in a particularly good mood.

· The teacher guided you to the spacious room which you shared with a few more couples, though you could both tell the pair of you two stuck out like a sore thumb, having quite opposite styles. You thought it was cute though, and calmly sat down.

· there weren’t really any set instructions for what to paint. Rather just to “go with the flow.” as the teacher put it. Some suggestions to paint were hearts for the other, painting a portrait of the other, painting flowers for the other, etc.

· the two of you chose to paint portraits of eachother. Conversation arose when you started talking about dancing, and how it was a nice side hobby of yours. Niki related, starting to brew up an almost 40 minute long talk about dancing, hobbies, interests, food, life, school, and many more topics you both briefed.

· by the end of the class, you both made decent-ish looking portraits of eachother, giggling at the goofiness of the both of them. You had both really connected through the class, and it made you both open up more then you thought you would.

· it was most definitely the most unforgettable date you had ever been on, the best one at that.

· a week or so later, you had been text him and he invited you to a pop up plushie store, since in your convo you mentioned that you liked collecting all kinds of stuffed animals. You found it adorable that he had remembered such a key element in your guys’ conversation, and you happily accepted his offer.

soobin was the type of person to be protective over his food. was he known as a great leader in txt with amazing compassion and observation? yes. was he also known to threaten to whack or bite people's arms off whenever they took his favourite piece of gimbap or threaten to take his almond milk? a hundred and ten percent.

so what happens when you all eat out as a group and everyone's peacefully eating their dishes while having casual talk... and soobin reaches over to let you have a bite of his fried rice?

"wah... get a load of this guy," beomgyu diverts the entire conversation to the act of soobin's extended arm reaching over to you across the table, trying to get you to get a bite of his food. despite the attention on the both of you, it doesn't stop you from slowly taking the food from soobin's spoon before the latter leans back, raising a brow at–"what the hell are you talking about?"

"really?" yeonjun scoffs a laugh, "i took a fry, a single french fry from your tray once and you moved across the room because you wanted to 'save your fries'."

soobin rolls his eyes, "that was one time."

"yeah! because you said if it happened again, you'd–mmph!" yeonjun's words get muffled up when you reach for a tteokboki from the sharing platter to shove it into his mouth. initially frustrated, he decides that it's better to chew on food than his words so he resorts to keeping quiet.

"already helping to get rid of the witness," taehyun chuckles, shaking his head at the sight. on cue, soobin lets out a soft ah as he points his eyes on something from your plate, which grants you to pick up a piece of chicken so you can reach over to feed him your food. the act makes kai laugh, clapping his hands when beomgyu's gone speechless.

"what were you saying before, anyway?" taehyun tries to restart the conversation, only for beomgyu to shake his head when he sees he's lost the both of you in your own world of feeding each other, as if they're not here with you guys.

"nothing," beomgyu huffs, taking a big mouthful of his ramen, "absolutely nothing."

"hey sieun,"

he stopped reading the textbook in front of him to take out the earpods he had on, looking in your direction, signaling for you to continue.

"do you have any paper i could borrow?"

"no." he turned back around, going back to resume the work he was doing.

"ya, sieun!" you cocked your head to the side as you stood in front of him, "don't you ever eat lunch?"

the boy stared up at you, his gaze on the verge of a glare. "no." he went back to his work.

"but, how can you work with an empty stomach?"

he took a deep breath in, then out. he ignored you, hoping you'd go away. you stared at him for several more seconds before walking away. finally, he was left alone to finish his work before the break was over.

not for long though, apparently. minutes passed by before you came back. "sieun!! i got you some food! you must be so hungry, studying so hard all day," you placed a roll of gimbap and water bottle onto his desk. "how do you do that, anyway? my brain starts to hurt if i read for too long." you pouted. sieun knew you would not leave him alone if he ignored you, you were too...dense to realize he did not want to talk to you. he exasperatedly placed his pencil onto his desk, unwrapping the food in front of him. you smiled, seeing as you finally got him to do something other than say "no" or sigh.

whether he liked it or not, sieun unknowingly opened the floodgates for you to treat him more than a classmate. you met with him in the hallways, walking with him to class. you somehow managed to beat him to the classroom everyday, and you'd chat his ear off as he tuned you out. he found out that if he kept nodding you'd think he was listening. the thing is though, the more you did the things you did everyday, the more he came to expect it, and as a result, not mind it.

you began to buy him breakfast from the convienience store every morning: yogurt, a triangle gimbap, and a mini vitamin c drink. at first he denied them, but he quickly became accostomed to only having the gimbap, then trying the yogurt, then eventually having everything with you. you'd always turn a desk around to in front of his, making a make-shift table.

lunch was the same, you'd buy lunch and sit with him, talking about whatever popped into your mind. soon enough he started to listen. one could say he even.. liked it.

only a little though- yeah. a little. nothing could get in the way of his studies, he told himself.

that's to say he was more than a little shocked when one day he walked into the class at his usual time and you weren't there. maybe you woke up late? he tried to reason with his growling stomach. when you finally arrived in class with just a minute to spare, you didn't give him a glance.

days went by where you didn't bother speaking to him, and sieun felt very conflicted. he didn't know what to do in this type of situation, literally having no experience. but after lots of thinking, he decided it'd be best to ask you himself instead of wasting time speculating.

he knew your route home was along the way to his, and finally taking the intiative, he watched you as you walked home, following you from a distance. he couldn't place a finger on why it felt weird.

a minute, then two, then eventually five went by before you noticed anything suspisious. you would glance behind you and notice him- at first you assumed he was just on his way home, but after he passed the turn to his place, you were on alert.

sieun didn't even know what his plan was at this point; he at first wanted to talk to you before he passed his apartment, but it was way too late for that now, so he made the desision to pick up his pace and meet you at the point you were at.

as you heard the rapidly approaching footsteps, you whipped around, tired of the nagging that someone was watching you, ready to confront it head on. "what do you want!?" sieun almost jumped at the suddeness of your outburst, watching as tears welled up in your eyes. "i finally fucking understand, you don't have to pity me. clealy i'm too dumb to hang out with you because it took me this long to figure it out." you immediately regretted the words that left your mouth, feeling the embarrassment creeping up your body. he watched as you began walking away, finally making a move to catch up with you and grab your shoulder. "wait," he watched as you tried to shake him off, but was unable to due to the force he used to spin you around. "it's not like that.

i'm.. sorry i made you feel that way. please don't think i don't enjoy your company." he maintained eye contact with your tear stained eyes, "i appreciate it when you buy meals for me..." it took a bit for him to finish, "i don't think you're dumb." he watched the expression on your face, trying to detect any change in response to his words.

however, it wasn't anything as he expected, the tears that were trapped in your eyes escaped and your face scrunched up with sadness. "oh," sieun stood shocked. he thought you'd feel better. he didn't know what to do.

luckily, he didn't need to, as you stepped forward and embraced him. "..thank you.. i really needed to hear that." you mumbled into his collarbone, hiding your face in his jacket. you missed him a lot.

he didn't say anything as he hesitated to wrap his arms around you. just as quickly as you'd hugged him, you let him go, instead opting to hold his hand. your red eyes and tear stained cheeks were the only evidence that you'd been crying, the smile adorning your face proving otherwise. sieun looked down at your hands as you spoke, "let's go out to eat, okay? you must be hungry from all those missed meals," he looked back at you and nodded. your face turned from his as you pulled him along, and he couldn't help but feel relieved. finally, he had you back.

Triple Bento with Rice Rolls

Oh I do love it when there's an excuse for packed lunches!

What have we here? Rice rolls/mini onigiri/gimbap/not-quite-sushi with cucumber and yakiniku hot dog fillings, with yakiniku sauce for dipping; boiled eggs (or a babybel for one family member who doesn't like eggs); lemon and bramble jelly; prawn cocktail Wotsits; grapes and a Groovy biscuit.

Close up of those rice rolls! The hot dog ones are rolled in sesame and spring onion.

Merry Christmas, dear friends! I hope yours is happy and lovely.

After Holy Mass we went home to the main house and everyone is here as I expected.

Anyway, was it me feeling old or was it humid this evening? Sobrang pawisan ako kanina that I stayed in the living room to cool down. I only went out when they called everyone to eat.

Dinner was family style. Cowboy I say since we opted to eat on paper plates and grouped ourselves by age lol.

Our spread was simple. There was shabu-shabu soup, fried chicken, pork barbeque, gimbap, an assortment of squidballs, korean breads and lots of desserts! However, the star of the night are the mini ginger bread houses that adorned the buffet table! It was IG material said the nephew beside me.

It was a lovely evening except it was too humid.

Tomorrow is a different story. There would be more eating, chismisan and paki alamerang aunties moving around.

The Cool Kiddies squad/the little line! (The ones I could remember 😅 I think...)

Melaudile, is the plastic kiddie microphone that's loud and carefree! She'd love to talk a lot, but she can be a bit clingy to bots (or humans) that she takes interest in... Even to ignore her own safety

Loomine, the loomband that's way too attached to bright colors! She'd go as far as marking her "territory" with colorful rubber bands

Cacticutie, the youngest of the garden guardians/ greenhouse groove, he always had a hard time talking and socializing due to his... "Prickly" body... But he's nothing more than a sweet boy... But don't make him angry, he can pack a punch as he's also one of the strongest in his squad

Momoyaki, the takoyaki, she's always the late to meetings and always seen at some pot hot springs, can you blame her? She likes it later than sooner

Super Orbe, the superball, he loves to play hero, but he can be a bit... Naive and childish

Catch-a-pic, the kid camera, she always try and mimic Fomo, but that's not the worse part... She has imposter syndrome... Sure, the rest of the cool kiddie squad/little line are cool with it, but it's hard for her to be likable to older bots

Icizen, the cupcake, an actual hero... Acting as a regular cupcake, but if there's trouble, he's on his way to save that night!

TTEOK SANG, Lavender

This place has free flow kimchi and japchae

Marinated Crab ($15.90)

Rather small. Still tastes good. Comes with seaweed and rice.

Mini Seafood Pancake ($5)

Decent pancake, crispy. Hits the spot but there are better elsewhere (just not with better prices)

Odeng ($2)

Just like a normal korean fish cake. Comes with soup.

Gimbap ($4)

Stuffed full of ingredients. A mini roll.

Ttuk Bae Gi Bulgogi ($12.90)

Managed to try a little bit of this. Decent soup! Has a nice salty sweet base. Filled with beef, japchae noodles and some veg. Will be ordering this next time! Comes with rice.

this wasn’t at all how you had imagined this picnic to go like. what started out as a picturesque, aesthetic pinterest-inspired date turned into... something as clumsy as you accidentally injuring yourself trying to open up a can of peaches.

“ah,” you pull your thumb back and start to notice the small cut now along the side of your finger, “shit...”

kai snaps his head up from opposite you, quickly setting down the container of gimbap he was meant to open but now all his attention is on you. he scoots closer and holds onto your wrist, gently pulling it towards him even when you’re reluctant to.

“i-it’s fine, just a stupid little cut...”

“not so stupid if you get an infection,” he snorts while you sneer at him. you quietly oblige with what he’s doing when he whips out one of the wet wipes and peeks up to you with a soft: “hold still, this might sting a little...”

you bite the inside of your cheek and prepare yourself for the tiny stings that prickle you as he starts to wipe the small amount of blood seeping from the cut. he’s quick with his movements but gentle, wanting to make sure he handles this properly. when he’s done, he sets aside the wipe and pulls out a bandaid from his wallet. safe to say, you’re impressed and kai starts to get a little shy with the way you’re smiling at him in gratitude.

to balance out the cheesy, sweet goodness, he kisses your now band-aid-wrapped thumb and murmurs for you to hear: “be careful, stupid.”

you chuckle and nod, “okay, stupid.”

the picnic continues on as planned and as the sun barely scathes over the clouds and peeking every now and then for you two to bask in the lovely weather, kai holds onto your hand on your lap as he makes you lean into his embrace. cocooning you from the back, leaning against the tree trunk as he becomes your tree trunk. you snuggle into him and rest your head on one of his shoulders and give his hand a squeeze as you two people watch together.

“thank you, handsome.”

he smiles and rests his cheek against the side of your head, “of course, pretty.”
