a fish with a bowtie
a simon "ghost" riley x reader blurb part two here!
no shock that i have fallen for yet another tall, muscular masked man. nothing new here! 😭
warnings/author's note: it feels so good to actually be able to write again omg. i included a very poorly drawn floor plan of the house in my head so you can visualize it better- nothing worse than not being able to see a story in your head! just some language and unreasonable amounts of fluff. your call sign is sparrow. simon being simon. gif not mine

"If any of you get boot prints on my tile, I swear to God…" you threaten weakly, kicking your shoes off at the door. The team knew better than to argue. You had saved their asses back at the warehouse breach–and unfortunately, you also took the brunt of the damage. Your head was throbbing, and your legs threatened to give out at any moment beneath you. The team had been successful with your help, but the attack was loud. They figured they'd lie low for a couple of days and let the smoke clear, but they needed a safe house. You debated it for a second before reluctantly telling the boys that you knew a place.
Unluckily for you, that place was your house.
The team silently marveled at your home. It seemed to be a perfect reflection of you but also not at the same time. For someone that claimed to be no frills, your couch sure did look fancy. But your collection of vinyls matched up with all the music recommendations you'd give them between missions. Soap geeked out over the movie posters you had framed around the living room, and Price squinted at your coffee table decor. He never took you for a candle person.
"Is that an original Back to the Future poster?" Soap asked in awe.
"Mhm…" you mumble distantly, racking the fridge for food. You zone out on the bright lights of the fridge for a second before letting out a grim chuckle. Of course there was no food. You were barely ever in this house– if you kept food in the fridge, it would all go rotten. Seriously, how fucked up was your brain right now?
You decided to search for the pantry next. It was mostly empty, save for a few spices and boxes of tea here or there. Your eyes searched the shelves until you found what you were looking for: exactly five bowls of nearly expired Hot-and-Spicy ramen soup, which was just enough for you, Soap, Price, Gav, and Ghost. You thanked whatever higher power might exist out there as you stacked the bowls on top of each other, carrying them close to your chest to avoid dropping them.
"I have the finest delicacy here for you, boys," you say humorously. "Three Michelin stars,” you continue, earning a laugh from Soap and Gaz. You set the bowls down on the kitchen island, keeping one for yourself. You tear open the lid and untwist a water bottle cap, pouring the water up to the ridged line inside the bowl. After you poured the tiny packet of dehydrated vegetables and chicken, you stick it into the microwave and lean cross-armed on the kitchen island, waiting for the three minutes to pass. The rest dutifully follow your lead, taking turns with the microwave built into your kitchen and the other one that was plugged in on the counter.
"Dinner" was eaten in relative silence. Not that anyone could hear anything anyways (you really needed to tell Soap to go easy on the frags before you all went deaf). You were too busy eating your soup to notice the team sneaking glances at each other and then at you, Ghost most of all.
After you all ate, you pointed everyone to their rooms. Soap went straight away, which is how you could tell he was really exhausted. Price and Gaz sat on the couch debriefing for a while before they headed to bed, too. Only you and Ghost were left. You were lying on the couch, half-tuned in to some old-time game show on the TV. Ghost sat on the loveseat to the right of you, polishing his gun and sneaking occasional glances at the TV—and at you.
“Shit,” you exclaimed suddenly. Ghost halted his movements, watching as you got up to a sitting position, closing your eyes.
“What is it?” he asked you quietly, finger moving instinctively to the trigger.
“No, I’m fine. I just… I just remembered I have to wash my hair. It’ll be a fucking miracle if I don’t collapse in the shower,” you sighed. “It’s a whole process, and it’s gonna take forever, and it’s already late… I’d better start now,” you finish, rubbing your eyes.
Ghost sat for a moment, contemplating what you said.
“I’ll do it for you.”
“What?”
“I mean—only if you want. I could. Over the sink or... something.” It’s the first time you ever heard Ghost sound unsure of himself, and it completely threw you off.
“Are you... sure?” you ask, staring at him.
“Positive,” he replied, staring back.
“Okay… I’ll be right back,” you say, moving towards the stairs. Once you were in your bathroom, you grabbed everything you would need: a towel, shampoo, conditioner, and your beloved shampoo brush.
When you got back downstairs, you found Ghost ungloved and running water in the sink, absentmindedly touching his fingers to the stream of water as his eyes were fixed on the TV. It occurred to you that he was making sure the temperature of the water would be okay for you. You weren’t entirely sure why your stomach got light at the sight of it, but you stubbornly decided to ignore it.
“You ready?” he asked, eyeing all the stuff you were carrying.
“Mhm,” you say, setting everything down on the counter. “I’ll just lie like this over the sink to make it easier for you,” you tell him, lying down and pulling your knees up on the unusually long kitchen island. The size of the island had been something that drew you to the house when you were house shopping, even though you weren’t home enough to cook on it.
“Is that a torture device?” Ghost said, jutting his chin at the shampoo brush sitting on the counter as he got your hair wet.
You laugh for the first time all day when your eyes land on what he’s gesturing at. “Far from it. You kinda just use it to get the shampoo into my scalp. Probably my favorite invention.”
“Your favourite invention?” Ghost repeated to you.
“Yeah. What’s yours?” you ask him.
He’s silent for a minute as he squeezes the shampoo onto your hair and works it into a lather.
“Electric kettle,” he responds finally.
“You Brits and your tea,” you say fondly, laughing to yourself. Ghost let out a sound, and it took you a second before you realized he chuckled. He laughed. You had never heard him laugh before. You decided you liked the sound.
“What’s your favorite kind of tea, Ghost?” you ask, closing your eyes. He had started using the shampoo brush, and it felt like heaven. You could feel the grime and dried blood dislodging from your scalp; you didn’t even want to see what the sink looked like right now.
“Black tea, maybe earl gray. But I’m not picky,” he shrugged. His eyes narrowed at the nape of your neck where he saw a thin line of blood.
“You have an interesting cut back here, Sparrow.” He started rinsing out the shampoo as he carefully moved your hair aside to examine it further.
“Well, shit,” you say, sighing louder than necessary. “How bad is it? Is it stitch-worthy? Am I gonna make it?” you ask sarcastically.
“No stitches. You’ll live. Unfortunately,” Ghost deadpans. You roll your eyes at him just as you notice his hands aren’t in your hair anymore. You turn your head to see him squinting at the conditioner bottle.
“The hell is this for?” he asked.
“The conditioner?” you replied incredulously.
“I know what it is, it’s just—why is it separate?”
You squint your eyes in thought, trying to understand what he meant when it suddenly clicked.
“Simon…” you say, a wicked grin spreading on your face as you move up to a sitting position, carful not to drip water everywhere. His eyes shot down to look at you. That got his attention. You almost never called him by his actual name. “Please don’t tell me you use it.”
“Use what?” Ghost pressed, getting mildly annoyed. Oh, how he wanted to wipe that stupidly adorable annoying smile off your face. He hated not being in on a joke, even if he rarely showed it.
“On today’s true crime episode,” you say, grabbing the conditioner bottle out of his hands to use as a makeshift microphone. He crosses his arms at your antics, seeming oblivious to the fact that he was getting water and eucalyptus-scented suds all over the arms of his uniform.
“We’re looking at one of the most prolific criminals out there, Lieutenant Ghost. It’s terrifying, it’s horrifying, it's downright disturbing. What are his crimes ,you ask? Using two-in-one… shampoo and conditioner,” you finish, lowering your voice for dramatic effect.
“Fucking hell,” Ghost rasps, voice tinged with exasperation. “Am I not supposed to?”
“No!” you whisper-shout, mindful of your sleeping teammates. “Shampoo strips all the oils from your hair and conditioner puts moisture back in! How could one product do that simultaneously? I mean, seriously, Ghost,” you say, squeezing a generous amount into the palm of your hand before smoothing it over your strands. “It’s common sense.”
“It’s not common sense. Tedious and unnecessary is what it is,” he replies gruffly, watching you put the conditioner on. “So what, you just–put it on, and… leave it there?”
“Yeah… I usually leave it in for 15 minutes while I do other stuff but I’ll just let it sit for a couple minutes since I’m-” you pause, yawning. “Tired.”
“Do you want me to wash it out for you?” he asks, his voice going unusually soft.
“Yes, please,” you responded, lying back down so your hair was over the edge of the sink again.
His fingers thread through your hair, ridding it of the last traces of conditioner. You force your eyes closed, trying not to think about the fact that Ghost’s face was mere inches away from yours. You felt something cold brush by your face, and your eyes shoot open to see the gleam of his dog tags dangling over you.
“Sorry ‘bout that,” he mumbled, tucking them back into his uniform like it was nothing.
Like it didn’t just get your heart caught in your throat.
You can feel his hands wringing out the water in your hair, strong enough to get your hair dry but not strong enough to hurt you. In a final act of pure kindness, he takes the towel sprawled out on the counter and throws it over your head.
“Done,” he says nonchalantly, ignoring your muffled protests from under the towel. When you finally get the towel off and tie it around your hair, you see him standing by the bottom of the stairs, leaning against the wall and watching you intently. Suddenly shy, you pull a stray blanket off of one of the chairs at the island and wrap yourself in it as makeshift armor from his icy gaze.
“You going to bed?” he asks as you walk up. You spin on your heel to look back down at where he’s still standing, arms crossed.
“No. I was actually just about to go for a six mile run,” you shoot back, rolling your eyes. “You should go to sleep too, Ghost. I could see your beady little eyes fighting to stay open at the dinner table.”
“My eyes are not beady.”
“Whatever. I’m going to bed. You can stay up until my neighbor's rooster Fish starts crowing if you like,” you say, fighting off another yawn.
“Your neighbor has a rooster named Fish?” he asks, amusement tinting his voice as he starts up the steps after you.
“Mr. Stricker is a strange man,” you reply. You’re met with a few seconds of silence as Ghost catches up to you.
“What do you call a fish wearing a bow tie?” he questions.
“Oh God.”
“Sofishticated,” he continues, not missing a beat. You were not expecting the laugh that erupts from your lips, and you clamp a hand over your mouth, wary of the rest of the team sleeping right above you.
“That was so not funny,” you say, clearing your throat in a poor attempt to cover up your smile.
“Mhm. And yet you laughed,” Ghost replied. Even in the dim light, you can spot the glint in his eyes. You’d like to think that under his mask, he was smiling too.
He fell into step with you now, his hands brushing against yours as you two made it up the rest of the stairs. There was plenty of room for both of you to walk without touching each other, but you didn’t pull your hand away.
Neither did he.

pairing : iso x gn!reader
notes : mutual pining ? i’ll let the audience decide , might be ooc since i wrote this based on all of his available voicelines so far ( . — . )
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The echoing clang of bullets hitting metal targets reverberated through the shooting range as you took aim alongside Iso, the new recruit to the Valorant Protocol. You’d been itching to get to know him better, and what better way to break the ice then some target practice?
“Clean shot! I should let Chamber know he has a rival now.”
Iso shrugged and chuckled, as an acknowledgement to your compliment.
“So, Iso… I heard you isolate your enemy into that domain of yours? Interesting…” you remarked, keeping your eyes trained on the target as you shot a bullet straight to the head.
Iso nodded shyly, his fingers still gripping the handle of his pistol.
“Y-yeah… Just my way to secure a 1v1 duel…”
Oh, what the hell am I saying, Iso thought, mentally facepalming at his awkward response. He felt silly for acting awkward in front of you. To be honest, he finds you really, really beautiful. Maybe that’s the reason.
But to his surprise, you merely gave him a soft smile.
“That is sooo freaking cool ~! Can you bring me there someday?” you asked, your tone playful and light.
Iso was surprised, his eyebrows knitting together.
“Why would I bring you there? I don’t think having a gun duel with an ally there is a good idea–”
You giggled, which interrupted his words. “Not in a gun duel, silly. I just wanna know what it looks like in the dimension.”
Warmth crept onto Iso’s face, his cheeks tinged with embarrassment at having misunderstood your context. “O-oh… Yeah, sure. I hang out a lot there even though there’s nothing much… Mostly when I need alone time to read my books or… listen to music.”
“And, having company once in a while would be nice.” He smiled, his eyes glanced at you.
“Mhmm, then I’ll be waiting ~” you replied, your curiosity piqued. You adjusted your stance, firing a few more rounds with precise accuracy.
“Oh ! Talking about music,” you continued, gesturing to the earbuds that Iso always had whenever you saw him. “I always see you got your earbuds on all the time. I assume you’re a music enthusiast, yes?”
Iso nodded, his fingers fumbling with the gun’s magazine as he exchanged it. “It helps me to stay relaxed and focused. Music has this way of grounding me, you know?”
You smiled, appreciating his honesty. “That makes sense. What kind of music do you listen to then?”
As Iso put his pistol down, he began to list off his favourite genres and artists. You noticed the way his purple-coloured eyes lightened up. You were surprised by the variety of his tastes, from classical compositions to high-energy EDM tracks. Your conversation flowed seamlessly, as Iso continued geeking over his profound hyperfixation.
“So, do you have a favourite song?” you asked, genuinely interested.
Iso took a moment to think before answering. He has so many favourites, heck, he could create millions of playlist when he thought of it. Then, a song came to his mind, “There’s this one song that I find myself going back to quite often. It’s called ‘Helena’ by My Chemical Romance.
The name caught your attention, “Wait ! I know that song ! What’s the worst that I can say ~”
Iso chuckled, he continued singing along, “Things are better if I stay ~”
“So long and goodnight, so long and goodnight.”
Both of you started giggling, which lightened up the mood surrounding the both of you.
Iso started to fiddle with his gloved fingers, his expression softening. “To me, that song carries a powerful and cathartic expression of one’s emotions surrounding the loss of a loved one, so it has become one of my favourites.”
You were touched by his description and decided to make a mental note to listen to the song again later. As you both finished up with the training at the shooting range, you couldn’t help but feel a connection forming between you and Iso. He’s slowly getting along with you, no longer the quiet and reserved recruit.
Someone you could genuinely relate to.
Tumblr media
As the both of you left the shooting range, the two of you talked and laughed, not just about combat training but about music, books and everything in between. His giggles caught your attention, the way he would bring up his hand to stifle his laughs.
Goddamn, he’s cute.
You didn’t expect the training you had with him could be the perfect time to bring you both closer. You couldn’t wait to explore Iso’s unique dimension with him, discovering not just his hidden talents but the beauty of the world he had specifically created for himself.
“So, about that dimension visit,” you teased, “When can we make that happen?”
Iso grinned, the embarrassment from earlier dissipating. “Whenever you’re ready. I’d be happy to show you around the place.”
“Can we make that a promise?”
“Yeah, promise.”

(A/N): my love for iso is growing… he’s so cutie patootie… do u get me…

Part 1 of Cheering Her Up
Part 3 of Cheering Her Up
a/n:
this was supposed to be a one-shot but idk I had an idea because i get inspired by songs and then make up scenarios in my head. its gonna get a little sadder soon so sorry DW they'll end up together <3
Soona is a person who was apologized to, who plays music in the background for the songs (plays guitar and drums)
("Soona, I'm sorry I said you were dragging during 'Revenge Party' There was just like, so much pressure on us to move the story forward through the montage. Like you know how it is" (1:22:24 in the movie))
I made Soona date the girl in the beanie (plays bass and drums)
I heavily based this off the 2024 version, but I switched around some of the events back to 2004
(2004: October Party/Aaron and Regina get back together -> Talent Show -> Aaron and Regina break up -> "You can't sit with us" -> Burn Book scene)
(2024: October Party/Aaron and Regina get back together -> Aaron and Regina break up -> Talent Show -> "You can't sit with us" -> Burn Book scene)
Regina finished her brownie and you scarfed yours down unceremoniously. You covered your mouth and spoke while you chewed “Shit sorry, I’ve been smelling brownies for an hour and I was starving” she just rolled her eyes at you. “Want another?”
Regina paused a pained expression painted her face for a moment, then she put her wall back up “I’m fine thanks”
You decided to let it go and then the front door opened, “Regina?” her mom walked in “You having a party in here?” you grabbed your phone and turned down the music.
Regina's little sister Kylie ran inside after her mom and waved at you excitedly. Kylie liked it when you were around because you'd scold Regina if she was being mean to her. Kylie just ran up to her room to change.
“Hey mom” Regina greeted but she was dismissive as most kids are with their parents
“Hi Mrs. George,” her mom liked you, but she was naive to the true nature of your relationship with her daughter. You grinned “I made brownies, sorry it’s a mess. I’ll clean it up”
“Oh! That’s so nice of you. Thank you, hun, don’t worry about the dishes, darling” She put her bag down walked toward the sink, and started washing them. “I’ve got it, I know you guys have homework. Regina be nice yeah?”
Her mom said that every time you were over because the first time you were at her house, you worked with Regina at the kitchen table, and she heard her daughter call you “…a fucking nerd”
“Yeah, whatever Mom,” she stood up and started walking toward the stairs. You thanked her mom, rushed to take off the apron, hung it up, and dashed up the stairs. She walked into her room, and you soon followed inside and shut the door.
She just slipped back into her bed and went on her phone. You sat on the bed and kicked off your shoes, and were worried “Hey ‘Gina?”
“Mm?” She looked up at you briefly, and then back down at her phone.
You paused and didn’t say anything for a moment “…Gina, do you wanna talk about what happened earlier?” That same pained expression panned over her face. You just touched her knee and rubbed soothing circles into it. "It's okay if you don't wanna talk about it."
She sighed, "It's just me, don't worry about it, kay?" you gave her a look.
She then pulled you to lay next to her and lifted your arm to lay on your shoulder, head resting at the crook of your neck. "I won't push it" you added after she got comfortable.
She pulled out her phone and rested it on your stomach scrolling through her apps. You took your own phone out and checked your grades on there. Regina opened her camera roll, the most recent item was a short video of you, you immediately recognized your own voice and she had this shit-eating grin on her face.
It was you just fifteen minutes ago, you watched yourself wearing the rather girly apron, singing, and pulling brownies out of the oven. "Regina! Oh my God, delete that, please. That's actually so embarrassing" you face palmed.
She laughed and said "Absolutely not," and sat up "Don't worry, it's for my eyes only" She told the truth because she couldn't show the video to anyone else or else they'd ask what you're doing in her house baking brownies for.
"You're so mean to me," you said with no real bite in your voice. "Your mom said to be nice to me Regina" You didn't ask her again to delete it, because once she made a decision she usually stuck by it, she always got her way with you.
She scoffed and said "I am being nice" and leaned back toward you, kissing your collarbone. It made you stop breathing for a moment, your body got stiff as she kept kissing your neck.
"God Regina, I have homework" you mustered out, she left a dark red hickey that peaked out just a little bit from your shirt, then she licked your neck "Shit" she was getting you worked up.
"It's fucking Friday tomorrow loser, chill out, it can wait an hour" She whispered seductively in your ear. Regina was right though so you submitted to her whims
——————————————————————————————
"Duck, stay the night" She leaned against the bed sheets.
"Okay princess," you rolled your eyes "Anything for you," you said sarcastically, but you meant it. Regina pointed towards her closet and you found some of her more comfortable loose shirts to wear to bed. "Can I grab my guitar to practice for maybe thirty minutes though? Me and my group are practicing some songs for the Winter Talent show"
"Are you singing?" Regina asked smiling.
"If you make fun of me, I'll sleep in my fucking car, Regina" You made an empty threat. "I'm playing guitar, and doing background vocals. I'm the main singer for the last song only. I just wanna practice with the music in the back"
Your band for the Talent Show consisted of people from the Band Geeks (though you weren't part of the school band yourself). The four of you were versatile in your music skills, also being able to sing lead and backup interchangeably.
You only practiced one of your songs and opted to play ones you knew well for Regina. "I thought it was only one song?" Regina asked you.
"Thought I'd show off a little bit" you looked down at the fret board, she watched your fingers move.
"You serenading me Duck?"
——————————————————————————————
You cozied into her arms too easily, over the summer, spending nights with her had conditioned you to never get up before 10AM. So you couldn't rely on your body clock to wake you up.
You set an alarm for 7AM so she could do her makeup and choose an outfit. You had left a small amount of clothes in her wardrobe that was neatly hidden away, for the nights you slept over.
In the morning you brushed her hair back and pressed a kiss to her forehead "Gina babe, you gotta get up" I brought you the brownies I made.
She sat up and smiled at you "Thanks Ducky" Shit, that smile could send you to the stars.
"Of course Gina"
——————————————————————————————
That day, at the cafeteria. You slipped off your backpack and sat down across the table from Janis, and Damian. It was the third week of your Junior year.
You never stayed for the entire duration of lunch, just to eat and run to a study room where you could get some actual silence or hang out with the Soona and band you were friends with. And you never knew that Janis and Damian were using Cady to take Regina down.
Damian gasped dramatically, it surprised you. "What's that on your neck!?" Shit, your backpack moved your shirt down revealing part of the hickey Regina gave you. Some heads turned toward your table.
Janis looked "Who you hook up with?" They both leaned in.
You were bright red "No one" You and Regina actually hid your secret pretty well, which you both greatly appreciated. But you hung out with a few people, which is why they pushed harder for an answer.
Damian leaned forward "Who?"
"No one, leave it," You said, it came out a little mean since you were stressed. "Sorry" you decided to tell part of the truth and you softened up "They're not out yet, I can't say" they yielded and switched gears.
"Is that why you've been all glow-y this semester? Your face has gay painted all fucking over it." Damian gestured with his hands pointing at you.
"Please stop talking" You pressed your temples
"Fine" They changed the topic.
"Oh Cady told us of a party happening tonight," Janis said, but you didn't really pay attention
You said "Okay" and then just looked down at your phone and texted Regina. Her contact on your phone was discreet enough, it was just her initials backward. The only thing that hinted that it could be Regina was the picture of a Jeep from the internet.
You knew your contact name, but of course, you had a rubber ducky as a profile picture on her phone.
Duck: "G, they saw the mark you left yesterday"
GR: "so what? you didn't say anything right?"
Duck: "no of course not"
GR: "then we're fine"
You could see Regina looking down at her phone too where she sat with the Plastics and Cady.
You kept observing Regina, Gretchen was next to her and leaned over. "Who's 'Duck'? New guy?"
"Jesus Gretchen, haven't you heard of privacy?" Regina scolded her.
——————————————————————————————
After school, you drove home and Facetimed Regina "Party tonight right?" you asked.
"Mmhm, you gonna go?" Regina was also rummaging through her clothes
"Yeah," you said and put on just a black T-shirt, jeans, and a brown jacket. "How do I look?" You propped your phone up to show her.
"Lame, but fine" Regina responded
"That was mean Gina" It stung a little but you were fine. "Oh remind me to send you the set list we're practicing," You asked her.
"Shit, gotta go Duck. Karen, Gretchen, and Cady are coming to my house to get ready" She looked at the messages on her phone "I'll see you later" she quickly hung up. You changed your shirt to a loose tank top, which revealed your toned arms and the hickey, you wanted to exact a little revenge on Regina and make her a little jealous.
——————————————————————————————
Soona and the gang brought you to the party. You've been at this guy's house party three times over the summer. You grabbed a red solo cup and took it to the dance floor, and your friends joined you.
You normally didn't get this drunk unless you were with only a few people, because you lost your inhibitions a little too much. The only thing on your mind was Regina. Regina. Regina. Regina.
Your head buzzed and you looked for the familiar blonde, she was in the middle of the dance floor grinding up against some jock, which happened to be Shane Oman.
You got jealous, and when you were drunk you didn't think thoroughly. Regina didn't fuck anyone else besides you for a while, you understood 'friends with benefits' implied you were not obligated to monogamy.
You had decided to mess with Regina a little more, you joined a girl who was known for queer baiting, you didn't kiss her, but you definitely got touchy, she was lifting your shirt a little. You felt Regina staring daggers at you.
After a while, you excused yourself to the upstairs bathroom where there were far fewer people here. You wondered if that was enough to get a rise out of Regina. Then a knock at the door. "Occupied" you yelled out.
"Let me in, bitch" It was Regina's voice.
'Oh shit' You thought. You wanted to anger her enough that she texted you to come over to her house, but she broke your unspoken rule to not approach each other at parties or school. You opened the door "Shit Regina. No one saw you come in here ri-"
She slammed the door shut and shoved you against the wall, her left hand snaked around your neck, not enough to restrict air, but enough to show you how mad she was. "You're stupid," she said angrily. You looked up at her, your head still buzzed.
"Gina I-" You tried speak, but her hand squeezed a little tighter for a moment, before loosening her grip to grab your jaw.
"I'm gonna leave this party, and you're gonna meet me down this fucking block. We're going home" Regina's voice was full of venom. "Do you understand?" you could smell the alcohol on her breath, and the smell of her perfume.
You let out a faint "Yes"
——————————————————————————————
She called an Uber and you stood behind her like a kicked puppy. You were in deep shit. It was already 2AM when you left the party so everyone in Regina's house was asleep.
When you got to her house she practically dragged you up the stairs and pushed you onto the bed roughly "The fuck you think you were doing at that party?" She's never been so angry at you before.
"Regina, I'm sorry I-" you stuttered, she was mad at you and it scared you. But the alcohol in your blood and the way she towered over you, making you feel helpless, made your core ache with need.
She stripped off her shirt and straddled your hips, Regina took your arms and held them above your head. "You're a fucking tease" You were both still incredibly drunk.
"Regina, I'm sorry let me make it up to you" You pleaded with her.
She wore a mean smile "And how do you plan on doing that baby" You tried to wriggle yourself out of her grip, but she used her entire body to keep you down.
The more you tried to escape, the more pathetic you looked. Face flushed, pinned under the prettiest girl you've ever seen. "Shit, I'll do whatever you ask Gina, just say the word"
"Yeah baby?" she smiled "Whatever I ask?"
"Yes," you said breathily, though it was hot, you were scared of losing her favor. You wanted to be in her life as much as possible, you were obsessed. Anything to please her.
"Strip, get in the shower" She let go of your arms, climbed off you, and rid herself of the rest of her clothes. She turned her back towards you and walked toward the bathroom, then without turning, she crooked her finger, telling you to come follow her.
She didn't need to turn around to know you were watching her every movement. She turned the shower on and walked inside "Kneel" You did, she looked at your mouth and then down between her legs. Water beat down your back. "You know what to do baby" You nodded and started to gently kiss her clit, "Don't tease, just get on with it" Your slow kisses to her pussy turned into you sucking on it hard.
You looked up at her, and you made eye contact. She moaned then said "Keep that up baby, and I might forgive you" she gripped the back of your hair and it made you whine into her pussy. "Fuck- use your fingers too babe" Coating your fingers in her slick before slipping two fingers inside of her.
"God you feel so good," she said as you started rhythmically curling your fingers inside her cunt, you took your free hand and held her up. "Oh fuck" she arched her back and pushed her hips hard into your face. You kept your pace while she rode out her orgasm. She pulled your head away, and when she let go you just kissed her thighs.
"You satisfied, Gina?" you still were on your knees she brought you up and kissed you
"No, nerd. I wanna break you" Regina knelt now and saw her there you ached for her to just get on with it. Eating her out pulled obscene sounds out of her and made you wet, and she swiped a finger through your slit. "You're so wet," Then she slid two fingers inside. "If I let you finish, you gonna promise to be good for me, baby?"
Her thumb started to circle your clit "Sh-shit, yes Gina"
"Look at me" you looked down and she pressed your clit hard.
"Fuck Regina, I'll be good" you swore.
"Promise me?"
"Promise" You gasped out as she increased her pace.
Heat gathered in your stomach and your skin felt hot. You closed your eyes and tilted your head back, moaning Regina's name like a prayer. "Gina- fuck, I-"
"Words baby" Regina cooed.
You panted trying to speak, you finally gasped out "Gina, can I finish, please? please?"
She smirked "Only because you're so cute when you beg" She sped up "Come for me, come for your owner baby"
You covered your mouth in fear of waking up everyone in the house. Your body felt like a firework, and Regina knew how to play you like a violin.
She stood and kissed you, and her anger had dissolved. Just as you regained your breath, there she was to steal it away from you again.
You knew Regina was a bitch, but you couldn't help but melt into her touch when she washed your hair or kissed your shoulder. Her attention was intoxicating.
——————————————————————————————
You lay in bed with Regina and brushed her hair behind her ear. "Gina, about you kissing Shane tonight." you paused to really think about your words. "I know we aren't together like that, but you know me, if you start dating someone else, whatever we have has to stop"
She hesitated for a second "Of course Duck" she paused again "I only did it to keep up my reputation" Regina said. It was partially true if you wanted to keep up the secret. Regina had to play her part, she had to conform, it was comphet but you didn't bring up your thoughts to her.
"Gina, I'm sorry I was acting like that at the party" You apologized for making her jealous. You knew why you were jealous, but not why she was. Did she like you? Did she just want to fuck you? You never would expect anything beyond sex and friendship from her even if it broke you inside.
But she read you easily "Hey babe, did you get jealous?" she was smug about it, and you crossed your arms. "You did huh?" She provoked you but she held your face so gently and rubbed your cheek with her thumb, that you felt your attraction to her fall far deeper than you could control.
She gave you butterflies whenever she was around. You just responded with "I'm sorry"
"It's cute, Duck, you're fine. But don't do that again yeah?" She kept holding your face "At least not with that bitch you were dancing with, she’s such a loser babe"
"Yeah, fine fine. But anyone who isn’t you or your gang is a loser to you” you teased.
"Whatever. Now come here and hold me, baby" She had you wrapped around her little finger, more so than anyone else. You felt your feelings for Regina grow, but you didn't dare to confess. You didn't want to lose what you had.
You lay on your back and Regina laid her head on your chest, then you were stroking her back and held her close to you. You kissed her forehead sweetly and lovingly, earning an adorable 'Mm', and you were getting slowly coaxed into sleep by her gentle steady breathing.

3 days til' Christmas
in which husband!miguel o'hara helps you through abdominal pains in your pregnancy⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆
4 days til' christmas ← previous part
--------------------------------------------------------
When they first started you panicked a bit. After having a phone call with your doctor you were able to calm down. That morning you had woken up with the usual vomiting but you also had cramps and you were spotting.
Your doctor reassured you, letting you know that it was completely normal to be spotting during pregnancy and there was nothing to worry about.
'If anything abnormal happens, you should definitely come to the hospital though,' Miguel thought it was your period finally coming back. You were glad you shook him off your tail because he was starting to suspect something was wrong.
That relief didn't help that it felt like something was stabbing you in the abdomen. The fact that you felt that pain while you were growing a human in there made you even more upset.
Miguel was in the kitchen making you some tea and getting you Advil to have with your water. You curled up in a fetal position, teeth digging into your plump bottom lip, fighting away the tears that stung your eyes.
No matter how hard you tried, you couldn't stop your tears from spilling. Just then Miguel walked in with your medicine, tea, and something for you to eat. "Did I keep you waiting?" Miguel asked as he sat next to you and helped you sit up against your bed frame.
He wiped your tears as he watched you take your medicine and slowly drink the tea he had prepared. Miguel always hated to see you in such pain during your period. He didn't like it when you cried. He didn't want you to feel distressed ever.
So he did what he could and he ran his hands through your hair in the way you liked. Your head was nuzzled into his chest, his heartbeat helping slow down your thoughts. Miguel was your safe space. He was your shelter from the storm of all your spiraling emotions.
"I love you," you mumbled into him.
"I love you more," he answered, planting a kiss on your temple. If his furnace of a body wasn't warming you up, the blood rushing to your cheeks from how soft and gentle Miguel was with you.
The two of you agreed on having yet another lazy day together. It broke Miguel's heart when you winced in pain occasionally holding onto him tighter when you felt sudden shocks of pain.
He couldn't do anything but rub your back and caress your stomach until it was time for your next dose and you could feel better again.
He knew that a lot of the time when you were experiencing cramps you played music or did something to distract yourself so he decided to put on one of your favorite comfort shows.
He didn't understand your deep emotional connection to a one-season animated show with only 10 episodes until he watched it with you and understood. Not only was the plot amazing, and the show hilarious, but it was also action-packed.
It also satisfied his urge to constantly match-make and gossip about things that are just not his business. You hated to enable this side of him but it was so silly to see him geek about things.
You enjoyed seeing Miguel talk about things that he was passionate about. It made his eyes light up in ways they never had before you truly got to know him. He loved when you asked him questions about his job and the specific sciences he studied all the time. He loved to teach you about the things that interested him so much that he dedicated his life to discovering different multiverses.
Most of all you loved it when Miguel came home to you. because every time he left to run the Spider Society there was a chance he wouldn't come back. You hated to see him all tattered up from a fight. But you loved to help him clean up. You loved being gentle with him when he was being treated the opposite way the whole day. You loved making him feel safe and the relieved look on his face the moment he saw you.
There was not a single period when you felt like you would be able to make it past the cramping stage until now. The overwhelming feeling of love and affection for Miguel overpowered the feelings of lain. Miguel was the father of your child and you couldn't have wanted anyone else to be that.
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve Eve and Miguel is taking me out on a date. Just have to get through two more days, then I can surprise him. You thought to yourself as you snuggled into Miguel and allowed his own snores to carry you to slumberland.
. . .
next part → 2 days til' Christmas

“so much for identity keeping” — or an alt title: roo’s nighttime job
the grid caught roo in a different light, holding a different kind of instrument
a/n the title’s a bit ambiguous but bare with it 😭😭 (bare?? bear?? which one is it i genuinely dk)
thinking back, this is pretty bad so im sorry for that. still trying to get my mojo back.
THE KANGAROO(KIE) VS THE WORLD
Tumblr media
“you think she actually hates us?”
the group of men were currently out and about exploring the night life. though, this time they decided to switch things up a little. instead of their usual glamorous clubs, they decided to go somewhere that offered live music. seb described it as ‘a change of pace’ and in return, lando said that his ‘age is getting to him’ (behind his back, that is).
the entire grid was there as they were all invited — except one.
“what? c’mon, why not?” lando made an expression of offense.
“not tonight. any other night is fine, but i already have plans. sorry, lan.” she shrugged before walking away towards where her car was parked.
that didn’t stop him from following her, though. the curly-haired brit fell in step right behind the shorter girl to—well, truthfully, beg.
“it’ll be fun!” he reasoned.
shaking her head, she stopped mid-step and faced the brunette, making him stop abruptly too.
“i’m sure it will. but i’ve had this plan since way before you probably planned yours.”
he pouted. she couldn’t help but roll her eyes at his attempt.
“next time, lan. i promise.”
remembering the conversation had lando still coated with bitterness. “not surprised if she does.”
max couldn’t help but laugh at his friend’s bitterness. he tapped his back (to which surprised lando), “no she don’t. i’m sure she has her reasons.”
as if on cue, suddenly they hear a familiar voice booming through the speakers.
the men’s heads never turned so quick before.
“oh mY GO—”
max was quick to snap his hand over lando’s mouth. and, on cue, not a moment too soon—
“EW!”
the dutch man immediately removed his hand off of lando’s mouth and wiped it on the british driver’s clothes, all the while holding an (overdramatic) expression of disgust.
he glared at the man and continued to talk (grumble), “if she didn’t tell you — or any of us, for that matter. she probably has her reasons.”
lando blinked. “okay? so?”
“so…” daniel walked up behind his teammate and rested his hands on both sides of his shoulders, “we should sit back, quietly, and watch.” he paused, lando still thinking with furrowed brows, “she doesn’t have to know.”
lando’s face brighten up as he finally catched up. “ah, i see.”
“but don’t you guys think—”
immediately, the older german man stopped his miniature, “don’t even try, mick. you know it won’t work.”
mick was about to say something else when he was suddenly cut off by lando shushing everyone. eventually he gave up trying to reason with anyone and sat down (in the dark, might i add) with everyone else as the stage lightings start to turn on.
there on the stage stood roo on the (audience’s) right holding a sticker-drowned plain white bass guitar. on center-stage stood roo’s friend they knew as daisy-mae holding her own red and white guitar along with an unfamiliar face sitting behind the drums.
everyone was surprised to see the stage lights turn on to a bright neon pink-haired roo rather than her usual hair color.
she wore a sleeveless white top with a big star design in the middle of her chest and a leather skirt paired with a pair of black thigh-high boots.
“interesting…” muttered lando with his chin resting on his interlaced hands. all the while the younger german driver across him tilted his head in an unreadable expression.
next thing they knew a tune starts to play and to their surprise, the once alfa romeo driver turned band geek leaned in the microphone, “angel… with a gun in your hand…”
their jaws dropped at the sound of her voice.
“she can sing…?”
“…she has a life outside of driving?!”
everyone’s heads immediately to the young aston martin driver, all with the same judging expression.
at that, the canadian immediately jumped ahead to defend himself. “what? she’s new! that’s how i thought of all of you when we all first met!” he said defensively with his hands (and voice) going up.
but, in truth was, no one really knew who she was. the closest thing they’ve figured out about her personal life was daisy-mae. and she was way more quiet about it than roo.
compared to the rest of the grid, she was probably the most private person yet. they seem to know so much about her yet also none at all. whether it was because she was new and still hadn’t warmed up to them like that yet or that’s just the way she is and they just haven’t gotten used to it yet. they—the media—would often compare her to kimi but that would just be wrong considering they’re nothing alike besides being tight-lipped.
watching her in another element was a new and interesting experience for them. very interesting. some might even be confident enough to bet it against her racing career.
with furrowed brows, carlos whispers to his teammate, “you think she would ever leave racing for this?”
“we’re not that lucky, mate.” charles mumbled, then shrugging, “plus you’d actually think she would leave mick?”
their moment of entertainment and amazement was cut short when she followed along the lyrics that escaped her lips.
“go on, replace me… when you’re cravin’ something sweeter than the words i left in your mouth… go on and spit me out.”
she. was. shameless.
it was almost as if the girl on that stage was not the same girl they drove on the track with, the same girl they do press conferences with, the same girl that was their co-worker and on-track rival.
that theory only furthermored when she switched instruments with daisy-mae and took over the entire stage with her presence, rocking her own solo riff.
they were seriously doubting this was the same girl as the kangaroo’s grid.
when the last notes were strung and the music died down, the girl walked over to the mic stand that once was occupied by her friend.
she started, “hi, everyone.” she was slightly out of breath — not surprise there — “we are: talking excessively. i’m your bassist slash occasional guitarist: autumn rolfe,”
the men collectively furrowed their brows in confusion, sharing glances with each other with words unspoken.
sure they doubted the rockstar was their co-worker and friend but they knew for sure it was roo. and that was not her name.
“joined by my beloveds—camellia gray,”— she pointed at daisy-mae —“on the guitar holding my bass, and finally our drummer rocky dilltogas.” she pointed at the unfamiliar new character — probably not his real name either after seeing a certain pattern.
strumming a few strings, the girl then continue speaking, “for this next song… i’ve begged and begged dai– cami for so long for us to perform this song. lucky yous, this was the night she finally agreed.” she smiles as she exchange instruments with daisy-mae—or ‘camellia gray’ as she said—once more.
then, an all-familiar tune starts playing. one that completely confirmed her identity.
“stacy, can i come over after school?”
Tumblr media
a couple of more songs later (all the while the group of men continue to question their judgement) and the band bid their farewell after finishing their last song.
it was the three past rookies to show themselves — under the light that the girl would definitely notice them.
they saw as the blood draining from her face when she noticed their giggling faces. oh how she hated those three.
roo immediately said an awkward ‘thank you’ hurriedly and basically sprinted off to the backstage, leaving her two bandmates in confusion.
that is, until her best friend spotted the three giggling men. they waved at her happily, feigning innocence as her face dropped knowing exactly that they were the reason.
behind the stage, roo was still in shock, standing like she’s seen a ghost until her bandmates walked over to her.
daisy-mae was the first to walk over to her, a hand on her friend’s shoulder, “it’s fine.”
“i’m going to kill them.” she replied, her expression unmoved.
“i mean that’s one way to do it—”
“what happened?” asked the drummer.
before any of them could explain to him, they were interrupted by said explanation as they all approached them.
her face was almost in a permanent expression, hardening when she saw the three demons that held complete malice in their eyes when instead she was surprised with showers of compliments by her older co-workers.
but still, that didn’t stop the rest from existing and taking the big chance of absolutely mess with her. they would never give up the opportunity to pull a reaction from roo.
“so, autumn rolfe, was it?” george smiled happily with his arms crossed.
“shut up.”
“i think i’m co-workers with your sister: spring.” snickered alex.
“funny. anythin’ else?” she deadpanned.
“yeah—”
but before the mclaren driver could say anything, roo had already had her fingers clasped on his ear—cutting off his shits and giggles.
“what the hell! i haven’t said anything, why didn’t you do it when these guys were talkin’!” he complained.
“you’re the nearest one.”
“you and i are exactly the same distance as you and alex!”
“yeah, but he’s a whole electric pole, you’re a gremlin.”
“just say you hate me the most.”
“i hate you the most.”
he rolls his eyes, grumbling, “you’re not my favorite either.”
“lying? really? you know that’s my thing, right?”
their bantering was interrupted when roo heard her name being called. she turned around to see her bandmates standing behind her with another new presence with them.
her eyes widen and quickly let go of lando’s ear, running off to her friends.
“everyone! since i no longer have any form of privacy, i’d like to introduce you to my friends.” the drivers all crowded the group of four. “you guys know daisy-mae,” said girl waved and a string of familiar ‘hi’s and ‘hello’s greeted her, “this here is atticus,” the boy they recognized as the drummer smiled politely at them. roo then looked at the new girl standing beside daisy-mae, “and uh, this is nika, don’t know when or how she got here.”
“but she’s happy i’m here.” said girl stated happily with a giddy smile.
“sure.”
at her monotonous voice, nika’s smile dropped, rolling her eyes.
everyone then slowly dropped the topic and went on their own as another band take over the stage with their more upbeat dance worthy music.
she was left was now only left with alex, george, and lando. she sighed.
“anything else?”
george shrugged, “but seriously, i think it was pretty cool.”
the girl couldn’t help but feel the heat rushing to her face, she never expected a compliment coming out of his mouth.
“oh. uh, thanks?”
“i mean, by the looks of you i had a feeling you have some sort of hannah montana-esque secret somewhere.” alex mentioned, only making roo’s eyes furrow. “that was a compliment.” he clarified after seeing the look on her face.
then, lando leaned over to her and whispered in her ear, “don’t tell her this but i always thought she was really cool, this was just an upgrade.”
confused, again, roo turned to a goofy-grinning lando with her right brow raised. alex caught her attention when started again, “he’s had a few drinks.”
“well. we’ll see you on the dance floor, i’m assuming?” george asked, sipping from the drink in his hand.
she nodded as the three went on, lando lingered behind with her.
“guess you did ended up goin’ out with us after all!” he said before leaving her with a smile mumbling a ‘yeah’.
roo was about to follow behind him when a certain spanish driver approached her, putting his arm around her frame. he took a sip from his drink before speaking as they walked together towards the bar.
“ever think of performing at birthday parties?”
“whose?”
“mine.”
“your birthday’s passed, nando.”
“incase you didn’t know, they’re a yearly thing.”
she chuckled, “sure thing, pop.”
“oh, and nice hair, by the way.”
“thanks.”

-Scarecrow, the one where John calls and the Winchester brothers break up for like 24 hours, spend that entire time thinking and talking about each other
-lots to unpack :)
-Meg kinda looks like Dean. Short light hair, leather jacket, listening to rock music. To look more trustworthy for Sam?
-Sam and Dean both stare at their phones and consider calling each other like this is a rom com
-“you know my brother could give you this puppy dog look and you’d just buy right into it.” Dean says this while biting his lip wistfully. I love these moments where we see how Dean views Sam, his ridiculously adorable candy-sweet sunshine baby brother who could make anyone do anything (who could make him do anything).
-they’re on the phone catching up not 12 hours after their fight. Way to hold out boys
-I’m 99% sure Dean initiated this phone call because 1) he has something he needs to say and 2) Sam immediately accepts his attempt to make amends, so Dean reaching out first was enough for Sam. Seeing Dean’s name on his caller ID probably made him so excited he almost came
-Sam grins blushingly when Dean says “I don’t have my trusty sidekick geek boy to do all the research.” This is technically the first time in the episode Dean refers to Sam as his boy.
Tumblr media
Sam flirts with Dean, saying “if you’re hinting you need my help,”
Tumblr media
Dean tells him “you were right,” “you’ve always known what you want and you go after it. You stand up to dad, you always have,” and “I’m proud of you, Sammy.”
Tumblr media
This is everything Sam has always needed. Dean sees him for who he is, respects and admires him, is proud of him, and won’t cut him off or ice him out for choosing to live his own life. But when Sam tells Meg that Dean said goodbye, he’s holding back tears of grief or regret.
Tumblr media
This is what makes Sam realize that what he really needs is not to live his own life- it’s Dean.
-Sam tries calling Dean for three hours. Has Dean never gone three hours without calling Sam back?? Sam’s reaction is grand theft auto
-they cut to Emily raising her eyebrow when Dean says “that’s my boy” regarding Sam stealing the car to get to him. Girl is tied to a tree to be sacrificed to a scarecrow that’s actually a pagan god and she’s like Damn these brothers are weird.
Tumblr media
-Dean, teasing: “hold me Sam”
Sam:
Tumblr media
His smile lingers the whole time he watches Dean get into the car. Just kiss.

Fannon Steve Harrington is such a "you never asked so I never explicitly said (because I thought it was a known fact/obvious and I wasn't hiding it and I did mention it)" girlie and I appreciate it...
So here's some rambly angst.
The fall of 1984 was an absolute fucking nightmare for Steve. He had no friends, no girlfriend and no parents and the upside-down returned. To be fair, by simply choosing to be and stay with Nancy after last year was the main reason why most of his friendships by virtue of Steve pulling away. Nancy cheating on him and then leaving him for Byers crushed his soul and self-esteem but he should have seen it coming when he returned to school after missing a week to attend his parents funeral and she didn't acknowledge any of that, only focusing on the guilt eating at her from hiding Barbs death from her parents. It had crossed his mind to bring it up to Nancy what was going on in his life but... when they died in that accident it was all over the news and he had told her he was going to Italy to bury his parents.
His father Aidan Harrington, an Irish Hawkins born, was a famous international operatic tenor. It was during the production of La Traviata that his father met his mother Emilia and their romance and careers grew from there. They eventually got married and had their baby Stefano Harrington. So for the first few years of life he travelled with them to different productions until they eventually settled down into semi retirement until he turned 14.
It was Steve that pushed his parents to get back into opera once he entered high school. He was old enough to take care of himself and he had a phone so he could call every night. So when they died in a car accident on their way from the Opera house in Italy, Steve in that moment couldn't help but blame himself for their death. The crash was plastered over screens and the papers as the music community mourned heir loss and the funeral in Italy doubly so -now with his face attached. And for that week, he didn't cry
He had expected when he returned some acknowledgement of the event but, other than one band geek with the curly hair, that did not happen. So he did what he did best, ignore it and go to a party with Nancy on Halloween. Then everything with the upside down unfolded and there was no time.
By the time he returned from the hospital to his empty home, he broke down. He was now completely alone with no support system. Its probably why he reached out to Owens for a therapist. If it wasn't for Dr Kelly... Steve wasn't sure if he might have stayed around long enough to meet Robin and he certainly would not be around to save Eddie...
Which is how he ended up here.
In the hospital.
In a hospital bed and the rest of the party stuffed into the room.
El and her group had arrived at the hospital half an hour before and were exchanging stories from the past few days. Apparently, El was kidnapped, had regained her powers and was able to stop Vecna with the help of the guy with the amazing silky hair. Steve just watched them from the bed, trying not to move too much
"Xiomaro Argyle. But I prefer Argyle, dude" the man with the long silky hair introduced himself to Steve. somewhere in the background, Steve hears someone say, "his name is Xiomaro?"
"Stefano Harrington, but everyone calls me Steve," he replied. One of the kids echoed Stefano.
He hadn't expected Argyle's response. "Wait -like that opera couple my yaya always listens too? What were they called?"He paused as he racked his brain before snapping. "Adrian and Emilia, right? My grandma was crushed when they died in that car crash. She light's a candle for them every Dios de los Muertos. Sorry about that bro."
And at that, Steve's world froze, because this was the first person other than his parents to say those words to him. He quickly wiped the tear from his eye before the other's could see. He hadn't realised that the room had quieted.
"YOU'RE PARENTS ARE DEAD?" Dustin yelled.
Steve barely had the chance to speak when Nancy cut in, angry, for some reason.
"When did this happen and why didn't you say anything? Jesus H Christ, you're always hiding from your feelings like some macho idiot and you neve confront anything!"
Nancy had continued to berate him but Steve zoned out. Chest feeling tight with the boiling anger growing behind his sternum.
"I. did." He interrupted simply.
"No you didn't."
"I did because
You were still my fucking girlfriend at that time and it would be shitty of me not to tell you
I had to go to Italy to bury them at my mother's family cemetery according to their will. It would be wrong if I didn't tell my girlfriend I was going to be missing a week of school and why. Which I did the night I learnt about their death and I came by your house."
Nancy faltered a bit at that, losing some of her righteous fury, but she pressed on. "I would remember something like that, Steven"
"No you wouldn't. The same way you can't seem to remember that my name is Stephano and not Steven even though I told you that and it was all over my stuff home."
Her mouth clicked shut at that and an embarrassed blush covered her face. On a normal day, he would have stopped there and maybe vent to his therapist but he was still raw from the past few days and Nancy toying with his emotions only to forget about him once Johnathan came back.
"Okay, let's say I didn't tell you. My parents' death was everywhere including their funeral and you didn't see it although you always read the papers. I was not in the country for a week, which meant I was not at home for a week, and thus not in school for a week and you didn't notice that I your then-boyfriend just disappeared? You didn't think to question where I was, if you did notice, when I got back?"
There was no answer. He couldn't stop the bitter laugh from bubbling up
"Fuck. You really weren't paying attention to me? I just thought you were feeling guilty about barb and trying to fix things for her parents which is why you didn't say anything. Not just that I registered so low on your list of importance that my words just flowed into one ear and out the other."
He was getting worked up and his therapist would be disappointed that he didn't stop there. "And what about the rest of you? You saw my parents and just what? Assumed they abandoned me or something?"
The silence was now suffocating, and Steve could not stand their ashamed looks at each other.
"And none of you asked me any questions about it?
"You know what? Fuck you, Nancy! You're standing there on your pedestal, calling me a "macho idiot" that I'm hiding from my feelings as if I would have had anyone to talk to seeing that you and Johnathan avoided me once you started dating. Newsflash! That's why I have a fucking government therapist I see every Wednesday since 84!"
He let the last statement hang heavy in the air like the sword of Damocles over the group before deflating and flopping back In his hospital bed, emotionally spent. Eyes glued to the ceiling.
"Everyone, just... just leave."
He waited until he thought he heard everyone leave and looked back down, startled when he saw that Eddie was still in the room.
"Don't be too hard on the shitheads for too long. For all their collective intelligence they are still a pack of idiots too sure of themselves to not consider that surface-level Steve is all that exist."
Steve said nothing to that, already feeling shitty for blowing up on the kids, and a little less shitty about blowing up on Nancy.
"Anyway, you also seem to forget that I wished you condolences that week so maybe yoy should not be too hard on them."
At that, Steve focused on Eddie, wracking his brain and being confused with its results.
"You were a band kid?" Steve asked incredulously
Eddie lazily shrugged, "It was a phase. Now, seeing that it seems that you have it on your chest heavy enough that just hearing their names almost made you cry; tell me about your parents, Stevie."
In Steve's chest, he felt something... Flutter.
--------------------------------------------------
This one got away from me, but this is all I have. This is slightly inspired by a post I saw from piratefishmama about Steve having good parents and everyone just assumed they were bad people even though they never asked him any questions (it's deleted; don't look for it). And don't ask me why they are opera singers my brain just latched onto that being their profession and why their death was everywhere.

Things never really went to plan for one poor Eddie Munson. His fate was sealed from his very first breath, his life would be a tragedy. And so, the universe set out to make him suffer.
It was like all the cards in his life were stacked against Eddie. He was born to a Bonnie and Clyde type of couple with Bonnie running away from the commitment of a family as soon as she could. Dick Munson was all too betrayed by the abandonment of his partner in come and set to destroy everything he had left. He cut ties with his brother, turned to a bottle, and drowned the sounds of his son’s screams out with meth and benzos. It was only a matter of time before he was arrested from a robbery gone bad with enough drugs to keep him behind bars for life.
Poor Eddie was sent to live with the uncle he hardly remembered. He was thrown into a loving trailer in a town full of hate. The kids at school ostracized him the moment they laid eyes on him, his bruised eyes and shaven head spoke all too lowly of his character. If he were lucky, he’d only get a few jaunts and swirlies but if he weren’t, he’d arrive home with another black eye or limp to hide from Wayne.
High school wasn’t much better. Just like middle school, the kids and teachers alike hated him. He blew off school and started selling drugs underneath people’s noses to help Wayne with the bills that were drowning them. He did make some friends, other loners that craved friendship and togetherness they’d never received anywhere else.
It turned out that he was gay. He knew as soon as he saw Steve Harrington’s shirt come off in the locker room and knew he was fucked. He was already the outsider no one liked, it made sense that something else would come up to make him even more different than everyone else in the suffocating small town. The worst part wasn’t the fact that people might find out. It was the part where no one he would ever have a crush on would ever like him back, least of all Steve Harrington whom had girls falling at his feet and guys wishing to be him.
As if it couldn’t get any worse, his skipping school held him back and made him even more of a loser than before. Eddie truly felt like the dumb-as-shit trailer trashed that everyone always told him he was. So he stopped trying completely. He fell into a persona adopted from his favorite artists, focused on his music and DnD, and tried to finally enjoy his life.
Then he saw hell on earth in the form of Chrissy Cunningham’s twisted body hovering in midair and fracturing with horrific snaps. He ran like the coward the universe had trained him to be and made himself the prime suspect in doing so. Eddie knew that there was no possible way to go back to how things were before. As fucked up as his life had been, he’d still miss his early morning coffees with Wayne and campaigns with the guys. As soon as the cops found him, he would be as dead as Chrissy.
So, he followed the kids out of fear. He felt like he was living in some sort of fucked up lucid dream. His long-reigning crush was there shirtless in his battle vest, Nancy Wheeler was there with fucking guns (plural), Robin the band geek was handling explosives, and the redhead that lived across the street from him was hanging on the edge of life fully dependent on a Walkman blasting shitty pop music. What the fuck, how was any of this real? He didn’t fully believe it until he felt the pain accompanying the bat bites and heard Dustin’s cries begging him to stay awake. It was only then that he realized the universe had royally fucked him over once again.
He knew with his luck, or lack of it, that he wouldn’t be waking up from this nightmare. His eyes slid shut for the last time and all Eddie could think was at least things would be better now than they ever were before.
When his eyes finally did open to a hospital room filled to the brim with his uncle and new friends, a tear dropped from his eye and his chest lightened. From then on, he knew everything would be so much better.
It seemed the universe had decided to call a truce and abandon the tragedy that had plagued young Eddie Munson. From then on, he wouldn’t have fate darkening his days. With the Party at his side, Steve Harrington’s hand in his, and his uncle’s Garfield mug on the hospital side table, Eddie Munson’s life began anew.

Dating Janis 'Im'ike HCs (pt.1)
I'm still working on the fics, so I figured this would suffice for now.
Before you two started dating she would flirt with you like crazy. When you gave her the same energy she'd shut up. Her brain stopped working the moment you flirted back.
She will invite you to her art shows, but doesn't expect you to go to them. You knock at her door that Saturday morning to take her and Damian to the event. You've been taking them ever since and she's smitten.
Blushes every time you compliment her art and ask her about it. She didn't know you that you held a genuine interest for the things she likes. It made her feel cared for.
Black cat x Golden Retriever gfs
Her top three love languages are quality time, gift giving, and physical touch.
Will melt if you link your pinky with hers, kiss her forehead, and hug her from behind.
You're taller than Janis by a few inches, so she loves when you tilt her chin up to give her a kiss.
Janis is the little spoon, but will tell everyone she's the big spoon when asked. (please go along with it. she has a reputation to uphold.)
Loves romcoms and refuses to let anyone find out. You caught her watching 90s romcoms more often than not. She'll geek out, internally, when you ask to watch one. She has a whole stack of DVDs behind the horror movies.
Her music taste is very particular. Rock and punk is her go to when she's around others. Though when she's with you, you'll listen to a LOT of pop, indie, R&B.
You told her you loved her for the first time when she was in the middle of setting up her projector. She was wearing baggy shorts paired with one of your shirts. Janis was so effortlessly beautiful, and your heart couldn't take it. You never got to watch The Breakfast Club that night, but you were too busy making out with your girlfriend to care.

miles g morales ★ general headcanons
Tumblr media
warnings: sort of angsty, mentions of his dad's death, money being tight and such 😞
a/n: hi my little piranhas im feeding you today say AHHHHHHHH.... all my random non-relationship miles g thoughts dumped into one! he has 6 lines but less is more right 😁 im okay i promi
Let me just geek out about his non-existent gear functions for a moment 😞 Miles is all about little modifications and improvement so when he messes around with his uncle's gear he decides to make some adjustments to the design and also the functionality. Has his own spin to all of his gear cause a part of him really wants to be like the superheroes he sees in comics with their own sort of persona. But of course it has to be functional so...!
All of his gear is coordinated and he has a mode where he can turn off all the lights for stealth and such! The lights are actually off most of the time but he puts them on to show off mostly or make himself known when he's bored of waiting.
A really cool function would be if he could redirect or offset his lights so when he's fighting in complete darkness he can easily confuse his enemies. Tends to scope out places and mess around with the power supplies — uses the occasional smoke bomb too. He's in his element in dark, maze-like places, which essentially makes Brooklyn his concrete playground.
Scarily good at lockpicking. Has broken into his own house multiple times from forgetting his keys. He can open most doors with simple tools and disable electronic locks with a little work.
Can I just mention his shoes as well... they're like the jumpy shoes from Subway Surfers you can't prove me wrong until the next movie comes out like— Okay no but seriously I imagine he can stick to surfaces and things and maybe they can propell him upwards? You see those glowing lights idk figure it out 😞
Also somebody (I have no idea who but here's the link to the original post) had a headcanon that he'd have a high auditory intelligence, so for a while, he spends time developing a voice modulator. He likely has one anyway to keep his identity a secret, but what he really wants to do is is create a device that can replicate other people's voices.
Because he's good with sound and physics he makes it work in no less than a few weeks. The first voice he tries is his uncle's and he says a bunch of dumbass stuff. (Aaron is a little annoyed but more proud of his nephew than anything.) Eventually it gets to the point where he can calibrate it with a couple clicks since he has such a good ear for frequencies and the like that deceiving villains is no trouble at all.
I think Aaron and Miles would still have that cool uncle and nephew relationship but its also a mentor and student one. While Miles is good at the tech stuff I think he's a pretty lousy fighter at the beginning and Aaron has to teach him a LOT.
Uncle Aaron probably used to fight for sport back in the day (boxing mayhaps? 😁) so a lot of Miles' technique stems from MMA due to its versatility (anything hand-to-hand at least.) Even then, most of the problem is being able to think quick and act quicker, so Miles goes through lots of practical training (so he's being chased by the Sinister Six from day one 😭) It's well worth it though because without the Spider-powers he has a lot of catching up to do.
While training with Aaron he's exposed to a lot of his old records and develops a taste for jazz. He comes to associate certain manoeuvres with the way the music goes, so he tends to hum to himself while casually knocking the wind out of people. His uncle finds it just a little creepy, but again, he's glad to see Miles coming along.
In fact, Aaron is relieved. His nephew had been reserved and was pretty much holed up in his own room for weeks after his dad passed. Of course the passing of Jefferson was hard on Aaron, but Miles has it even harder. Eventually, they decide to paint the mural together, and Miles lets Aaron know what's on his mind. He's always been close to his uncle but especially then spending time roaming the streets, painting, boxing and listening to old records was his lifeline.
Miles figures out his uncle is the Prowler before Aaron even lets him in on it. After seeing how determined his nephew his is, that's when it all started.
But with everything going on in his vigilante life, his normal life is something he has has to be careful not to fall behind on. At the age where college applications are coming up, Miles is driven to the bone with school, despite not actually being there half the time. Still, he's somehow averaging As and the occasional B, easily the top of his class in AP Physics and Calc.
He doesn't try to talk to people in school like he might've before, but he's not antisocial by any means (sometimes his bluntness is mistaken for talking back though 💀)
He's also the type of dude to do homework as soon as the teacher hands it out, because he knows he will not have time later (and to avoid all the night-before crises of freshman year.)
Rio is being pulled thin too, always covering shifts for her colleagues at the hospital just so she can have a little extra pay. She's been saving for Miles' birthday since his last one, always checks his clothes for holes or if they still fit, and makes sure there's something in the microwave if she can't be there for dinner. Rio makes sure he always has everything he needs, even while paying bills and rent. They're not struggling too much, but it's not like they can do whatever they want.
Despite that, they're managing; what she doesn't know is that the sigh of relief she breathes every month is because of him. Miles always makes sure to take care of his belongings, put in any cash he makes from his "part time job" into her account, just doing whatever he can to help. Also, he's become more and more protective of his mom, and he always takes the opportunity to do errands for her, especially when it's getting dark outside.
Miles is actually more paranoid than her when it comes to saving. Even when it's winter, and she tells him to turn on the heating whenever, you best believe he's throwing on his jacket in his own room and firming the cold. It's entirely unnecessary of course, but he can't shake the guilt when he feels the only reason his mom works so hard is because of him. They've moved twice already and there's no way they're moving again, so if the landlord gives them trouble he'll just give them hell (let's just hope it won't come to that.)
Miles learnt how to treat his own injuries from Rio. She taught him basic first aid at the very least, and on a couple of occasions he's tried to learn things himself with the clunky old first aid kit at home. Rio never asks why the stitch on one of their pillows is done with dental floss, and looks strangely like that of a suture (a very bad one at that.)
His Spanish also improved a lot too. After his dad's passing, he met a lot of relatives from his mom's side that he doesn't remember ever seeing before, but it encourages him to learn how to speak better. Long gone are the days of silently observing family drama over the phone — he has to keep up now, and he'll defend his mom cada día de la semana (even if she's somewhat embarrassed by it.) Essentially he's at that level of fluency where he can be rude without being rude 😭 (just saying some of the things his relatives say are NOT helpful.)
With all of this going on in his life, it's no surprise that sleep doesn't come easy. Or maybe it is, considering how much he works his body. Either way, he's left staring at the ceiling or curled up on his side most nights, the untouched toys and collectibles in his room to keep him company. Miles used to sleep at 8pm on the dot and wake up at 6; that was when things were good, and he didn't have his whole universe on his shoulders. All his bed is now is a place to collapse, and close his eyes until it's light outside. Most days, he's exhausted — bone-tired — but the most he gets is a light, forced, uncomfortable sleep. It's one in which he wakes up more tired than he was the night before, but he presses on, getting exercise in during the morning and trying to make breakfast for his mom because he knows a slice of toast is the most she'd bother to have.
And despite all that's changed since his dad has passed, Miles is still a kid. He has a thousand pictures from the time he went to Comic-con, a sketchbook full of drawings he never finishes, meticulously-organised playlists, college applications — all in the midst of a city that's falling apart at the seams as much as he is.
But he's okay, for now. As much as he can be.
"Keep your head up, son."
It's what his dad would've wanted, at the very least.

Hi Rome :)
I was wondering if you would be able to do a very fluffy fic where Reader is Hotch’s girlfriend but is also Spencer’s younger sister and they all go together to a Barnes and Noble or some kind of bookstore and Reader gets all nerdy (it runs in the family) and Hotch is just soaking up every minute of it following Reader through the isles and sneaking kisses while she and Reid also geek out together and are smelling all the new books (love that new book smell lol) and talking about their favorites and how they used to read certain books together as kids (like Harry Potter or something) etc. etc.
Hi Sweetheart! Thank you so much for your patience, sorry it took me a whole lifetime to get this done for you, but the moment has arrived!! Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x gn!reader. Spencer Reid x sibling!reader. Word Count: 2.1k Warnings: much much fluff, reader is a genius bc i can't help myself. Also apologies I know you used she/her but I figured there's no harm in keeping it more open, if this is a problem please let me know and I can find and replace all pronouns <3 Enjoy!
Tumblr media
Aaron should have known that letting Spencer have his pick of bookstore for your rare day off would be a mistake. In classic Reid fashion, Spencer picked a spot almost two hours away, which is said to carry Star Trek comics written in authentic Klingon. Hotch figured the three of you could make quiet small talk and just bask in the calm of one of the BAU’s rare days off. He did not anticipate listening to both of the Reid siblings create their own rendition of Every. Single. Song. From high school musical. The two of you had barely made it to ‘Stick to The Status Quo’ when Aaron realized only fifteen minutes of the drive had passed. He fights the urge to throw his head back and sigh, opting to keep his eyes on the road and just picture how adorable you’re going to look with your nose in a book, sipping coffee in the quiet corner of the bookstore, and oh how Aaron misses quiet. He has fond, seemingly distant memories of quiet. Just as he’s descending into thoughts of time he could have spent alone, today, getting work done, a hand finds his larger one on the center console.
You bring his hand to your lips to kiss the back of it, a silent thankyou for saving you and Spencer from having to take two trains and one bus to this bookstore. It is apparently a Reid tradition to refuse to drive until it becomes absolutely necessary for your own survival. Hotch feels a familiar warmth spreading through his chest as he admires how perfectly the two of your hands fit together, as you intertwine both of your fingers in your lap.
“Spencer, how about we switch this up a little?” You can see Aaron’s brows had been drawing closer and closer each time Spencer hit an especially pitchy note, and you worried about his tinnitus making a return.
“How so?” He asks, his tone suggesting that nothing could be quite as fulfilling as crushing the HSM soundtrack start to finish.
“How about…” you stop, trying to think of anything that will lift your brother’s spirits without also piercing your boyfriend’s eardrums. “John Denver?”
“I’m in!” Spencer replies, his face now adorning his tightlipped smile you’ve grown to love. You scroll through your phone, seeing Aaron’s shoulders visibly relax as the much more dulcet tones fill the confined space of the car, his thumb rubs at your index finger, clearly grateful for the compromise.
When the three of you finally arrive at the bookstore, Aaron’s barely put the car in park before two seatbelts unclick and all he can do is laugh as you and Spencer go barreling towards the front door. He rushes after the two of you, finding you in the front left corner, he sighs knowing the two of you are going to tackle this entire store one square foot at a time from front left to back right. Before he can look at his watch to assess how much time the two of you will have before the store closes, your hand wraps around his arm, tugging him into the first aisle, where the fantasy books are. Spencer is pulling down the order of the phoenix, gasping as his fingers brush over the gold leaf lettering on the cover and you turn to Aaron, beaming at him as you pull him into a hug, thanking him for bringing the two of you all the way across state lines for what will be the greatest day of literary entertainment ever - and probably a major spike in your credit card statements, but you won’t mind one bit.
Aaron tries not to think about the ring sitting in his dresser at home as he feels the air once again knocked out of his lungs when he catches sight of your bright smile. He tucks his hands in his pockets, as you keep one hand wrapped around his bicep, pulling him towards each new find. Aaron’s sure there’s a handful of books on these shelves that he would quite like to read, as well, but he’s busy watching the sparkle in your eyes as your fingers dance across the spines of the books. Spencer is equally enamored when he gets his hands on a signed copy of Lord Of The Rings, rushing over to the two of you with the same glimmer in his eye as he brings the book to your face. Aaron is confused until you bend down and sniff the pages, turning to your boyfriend, you explain.
“It’s hardly even been read, Aar! It still has that new book smell! Here, try it.” you drop his arm in favor of bringing the book to his nose. Apprehensively, Aaron gives it a smell, his tight brow releasing when he gets a waft of fresh pine. It takes him back to his childhood at his best friend’s lake cabin on summer holidays. He can’t help but think about how much you would have loved it there, maybe that’s where he could propose. Take you on a weekend away someplace secluded, where the two of you can sit on the porch swing, your head in his lap as he reads you a book you’ve definitely read a thousand times. But, you always tell him the stories are so much more immersive in his baritone. Spencer tried explaining the connection between the human limbic system and our middle ears, how certain acoustic frequencies can actually summon more emotional and imaginative imagery.
Aaron files that idea away along with his 20 other possible proposal ideas. He always seems to psych himself out of asking you, having only been together eight short months, he worries you’ll say no. It’s perfectly reasonable for someone of your age to not want to become a parental figure in a child’s life, although you’re great with Jack, Aaron always finds a reason not to ask you to marry him. That’s actually why he’s gotten both you and Spencer out of the house today, he wants an opportunity to talk to your brother about the possibility of asking you to be his spouse. Aaron is dragged out of his thoughts when you once again pull him down the aisle, now stopping in front of a set of Peter Rabbit books.
“Aaron, oh wouldn’t these be such a great gift for Jack’s birthday? We could all read them together, there’s twenty three so it would take us a while but I think that would just make putting him to bed so special, what do you think?” You stand toe to toe with Aaron, awaiting his response. He’s waiting for the lump in his throat to clear as he realizes the depth of your love for his son, and how silly he’s being letting his concerns get in the way of your shared happiness. You look so excited to read Jack these books, and Aaron finally realizes you want to be there for bedtimes, not just on nights when Aaron is tied up in meetings and can’t find the time to tuck the little boy in - you want to be there for his bedtimes, forever.
“Hello? You in there? Earth to Aaron.” You take hold of his shoulders, genuine concern clouding your features as you worry your boyfriend is having some kind of absent seizure.
“Yes, sorry. I, I think Jack would love that and, well, I think I would love that, too.” Damn you for having such a way of reducing the usually articulate agent Hotchner into a stuttering mess. You just have a way of derailing every train of thought he’s usually able to keep in careful motion.
“O-kayyyy” you drawl, still unconvinced that Aaron has all of his senses working. You pull the box set of peter rabbit books from the shelf, going to place them with Spencer’s growing stack of purchases on the counter. Aaron watches how the employee eyes the two of you carefully, clearly thinking you must be buying this many books for charity, or for a children’s shelter or library. You’re only onto aisle two now and the two of you have amassed a stack of pages that must weigh more than the two of you combined.  Aaron spots Spencer, ever the speed-reader, flicking through a russian book in the languages section of the store. Aaron excuses himself to head to the bathroom, barely earning a nod from you as you’re completely absorbed in collection four of Shakespeare’s finest works.
Aaron ducks into the corner, grabbing Spencer gently by the arm and whispering that he needs to talk to him about something important. Distracting Spencer from his book earns him a scowl but he changes it to a tight-lipped smile, waiting for Hotch to elaborate.
“I want to ask your sibling to marry me, Spencer. Now, obviously, you and I work together, and- and you’re very close with them so I trust you to know how they might react to something like this, and I’d really like your blessing to go forwards with this.” Aaron finds himself rambling, wiping his sweaty palms on his jeans as his heart threatens to jump out of his throat at the thought of the boy genius saying no.
“Oh.” That’s not good. That doesn’t help the growing lump in Aaron’s throat.
“Oh? Reid, please, what do you mean ‘oh’?” Aaron hates how small his voice sounds trying to pass through the thick fog of panic circling his lungs.
“I just mean that I thought the two of you must have already discussed that. I went clothes shopping with Y/N last week and I couldn’t tear them away from a wedding caterer, they were pointing at the window saying how adorable ‘Aaron and I’ would look as a wedding topper. Before that, we went looking to buy me a new bookshelf and they were picking out furniture for both of your future home. I guess I just assumed that was all their way of telling me those things were on the table.” Aaron releases a breath he had been holding ever since he bought the ring, worrying it was too much too soon or that you would go running for the hills if you spotted it in his drawers. “Look, Hotch, if you want my blessing you have it, just please make it a quick engagement, I’ve seen them plan their senior prom, I can’t even imagine how frightening they’d be planning a wedding. Your wedding. You’re everything to them. And I’d really like the chance to call you my brother, Hotch. Although Strauss will probably make me answer to Rossi for all my future evaluations and such but- I’m getting off track. My point is, I already think of you both as an old married couple, both you and Y/N smile more in each other’s company than I’ve seen in all the years I’ve known you both.” Spencer’s delightfully supportive ramble is cut off as a teary-eyed Aaron pulls his future brother-in-law in for a tight hug. They stand there for a moment before Aaron pulls back, releasing his hold on the young doctor and placing a hand either side of his skull before pulling him in to kiss the top of his head in thanks. Spencer is slightly shocked having never seen Aaron Hotchner give this much affection willingly, and slightly confused by the decision to kiss his head.
“What? People normally handshake at a time like this but you always maintained it’s actually safer to kiss.” Hotch offers a toothy smile, his mind casting back seven years to when he had first interviewed the young doctor for the job. He has continued to be perplexed by the contents of such a young mind, until he finally got to meet the other doctor Reid. Forensic Physician. Equally bright, but with an unshakeable positivity that captivated Aaron each time they consulted on a BAU case for a long 18 months before Hotch summoned the courage to ask the younger genius out on a date, this turned out to be the beginning of the rest of his life, as it happens.
Hotch finds himself unable to stop smiling for the remaining five hours spent in the bookshop before it closes, having made enough money from the Reid family to probably take the rest of the week off. Aaron carries the mountainous stacks of books to his car, admiring the sunset as he listens to his favorite two siblings in the world bicker about which Star Wars movie is the correct starting place to watch the series. Even if the two choose to sing all of High school musical two and three on the ride home, nothing can shake the feeling that Aaron Hotchner is the luckiest man in the world.
