Last year I made a post with all my fave Drarry fics from my first year of fandom. Have my second year wrap up! Listed by Rating and then length.
RATING: TEEN AND UP AUDIENCES
Beautiful by @xx-thedarklord-xx (2017; 8.9k)
Summary: With the second task looming closer, Harry escapes to the Black Lake to open the egg, in the hopes of avoiding Myrtle. The Mersong isn't just helpful in figuring out that Mermaids are real, it attracts his very own handsome Merman.
*I didn’t know I love merpeople AUs until I read this one. It was cute and sweet and I’m really glad I read it.
Hermione Granger's Hogwarts Crammer for Delinquents on the Run by @waspabi (2017; 93.3k)
Summary: 'You're a wizard, Harry' is easier to hear from a half-giant when you're eleven, rather than from some kids on a tube platform when you're seventeen and late for work.
*What can I say. This is a masterpiece, it absolutely entered my heart to never leave it again. Best AU ever!!!
Away Childish Things by @letteredlettered (2018; 153.8k)
Summary: Harry gets de-aged. Malfoy has to help him.
* This has been the turning point of my Drarry passion this year. First, I discovered Lettered (good Lord why hadn’t I before?!) and then, well. This fic brought out so many feelings in me and I’ve already re-read it something like 5 or 6 times in the span of a few months. Amazing.
RATING: MATURE
you’ve got the antidote for me by Kandakicksass (2018; 20.7k)
Summary: When Harry Potter unintentionally severs their soulbond before it can fully form, Draco Malfoy resigns himself to a slow death and decides not to burden Harry with a soulmate he's made it very clear he doesn't want. He's never been selfless before, but for Harry, he can try.
* The angst!! It’s usually not my cuppa, but this was bittersweet and just so well written, I couldn’t stop reading. Find the rec for this one at this post.
RATING: EXPLICIT
Give Me Sweet Oblivion by @tryslora (2012; 4k)
Summary: Italy seems like a long way to go to keep a fetish secret. But the club is exclusive, and the far away location, and Muggle nature, promises anonymity from Wizarding Britain. The only problem is that sometimes, great minds think alike.
*Super hot, I love finding old gems like this one. Plus, Italy. Go, folks!
Shiny Things, Slightly Damaged by @lqtraintracks (2020; 5.3k)
Summary: Harry may not ever have had to see it if McGonagall hadn’t decided it was a good idea to hold a ceremony on the grounds outside before the Sorting in the Hall. And by ‘it’ he’s referring to Draco Malfoy on a motorbike.
*jsklajdksajfa This one! THIS ONE! Slayed me. I read it feverishly and then like, fainted at Draco on a motorbike.... this fic surprised me and I 100% loved it.
A Ghost of Blissful Feelings by @alpha-exodus (2020; 6k)
Summary: Harry hadn't expected to spend his eighth year fucking Draco Malfoy, but it's the only thing that helps him let go.
*Dunno guys, I’m amazed by how much this one hit me. You should read the tags before diving in, but it was darkish in the right way, Harry and Draco suffers and find peace in a ‘’special’’ way, but I stand by it. Hot and intense.
Tell Me (What you Need) by @keyflight790 (2019; 6k)
Summary: Even though Harry was paying for his Dom, there were limits; breaking points in which someone would refuse, no matter how many Galleons were pushed in their direction.
*Okay, I may be biased because this is a gift for me, but Chris never lets down with her amazing writing and this has everything I need and more: Dom!Rentboy!Draco and a perfectly sweet Harry with a Daddy!kink. I mean.
Dangerous by Faith Wood (2014; 6.3k)
Summary: Being trapped in a dungeon with Malfoy — who's a werewolf, a former Death Eater, and a giant git — is definitely dangerous. Harry has no reason to be excited. None at all.
*Y’all know Faith Wood is like my n.1 fave Drarry author. I have no idea why I had never read this one though!!! It’s actually phenomenal, scorching hot and just dsjkafjaks love this werewolf!Draco. OMG.
Scent and Sensibility by aidaninkling (2018; 7.5k)
Summary: [...] Draco's always known he'd be married off as a trophy omega, but suddenly his mother's trying to make him king by promising him to some stupidly good-looking alpha and she just won't stop smiling at him. Does fate's cruelty know no end?!
*This blew my mind. A/B/O AU so hot I melted while reading it and I loved it so much that I re-read it three times IN A ROW. No kidding. Read it.
The Eighth Tale by @letteredlettered (2012; 12k)
Summary: Draco Malfoy tries to fix the past, but instead mucks it up some more. For Harry, it all becomes quite clear.
*Back to Lettered. I love Time Travel fics, and this just delivered perfectly. The ending was also enigmatic enough to keep me wandering, which I always appreciate in these kind of stories.
Sex, Lies and Veritaserum by @letteredlettered (2011; 17.9k)
Summary: This entire fic is one long conversation about sex.
*LOL alright, I’ve developed a new obsession this year (clearly). This was ...gosh! Hot but it also gives away a certain level of intimacy and trust between Draco and Harry to be so open about their kinks... it was perfect.
On One’s Knees by pir8fancier (2008; 33.8k)
Summary: The war is over and to the victors go the spoils.
* The fic which made me fall in love with DownAndOut!Draco.
The Pirate and the Prince by @nerdherderette (2019; 49.2k)
Summary: Draco can't believe that fate and circumstance have made him a stowaway on the Master of Death's ship. He doesn't know what's worse: the dread pirate's legendary vendetta against the aristocracy, or the fact that his captor is the most infuriating yet irrefutably fascinating man Draco has ever met.
*Okay y’all. Nerd is a great person and author. She is phenomenal. And this fic shows it so well. The pirate!AU the Drarry fandom both needed and deserved. Sublime.
Unhook the Stars by jad (2016; 70.5k)
Summary: [...] Seventy-thousand words of pornographic discourse between two boys-turned-men that still haven't learned how to communicate like normal people – with words. Guest appearances by Pansy Parkinson, Neville Longbottom, Hermione Granger, Blaise Zabini, Teddy Lupin, Gregory Goyle, the Weird Sisters, ex-wives, several Weasleys, a Boggart, and a Honey Badger.
*Again, Dom!Draco and such a beautiful sub!Harry. They stole my heart. In this fic they grow up together through the aftermath of the war and they just... they have this intense Dom/sub relationship, I can’t... explain how much I loved this. Scorpius also makes his appearance and it’s so real and cute!
Such Great Heights by aideomai (2015; 93.3k)
Summary: Draco Malfoy, wide-eyed and pale and in a decidedly ragged shirt, was crouched next to the pile of whatever the dragon had been eating. Harry threw himself to a halt and yelled, “Merlin, how many times do I have to save your life?”
*This is one of the last ones I’ve read. Find my rec for it here. Such a cool fic, with a shunned Draco who gets to be so happy in the end, it made me happy too.
Burn The Witch by @lettersbyelise (2019; 95.8)
Summary: When Harry Potter is sent in to investigate Draco Malfoy’s successful potions company, posing as Draco’s bodyguard, he doesn’t know the case will launch a series of events that will change his life — and Draco’s. A story about choices, scars, Chopin piano pieces, and finding all kinds of love in the most unexpected places.
*I do not have the words to express what this fic means to me. First of all, it’s how I met Elise who’s an amazing person and who I’m glad to call friend. She’s the sweetest. And also incredibly talented. This fic will take your breath away from the first word to the last one. Smol!Scorpius is perfectly characterised and my absolute favourite bit of the fic.
Who we are in the shadows by @quicksilvermaid (2019; 99.7k)
Summary: What happens when you’re forced to become the very thing you despise? Ex-Auror Harry Potter, tossed out of the Ministry for something he had no control over, has been looking for a way back to his former life. When he comes across Draco Malfoy in the criminal underbelly of Wizarding London and in need of protection, Harry figures bringing him in to face the Ministry's justice is his ticket back to everything he's lost. But nothing is exactly as it seems. Not even Harry himself. And as he gets drawn further and further into Malfoy's world of honour and deception he finds himself questioning everything he thought he knew—about his childhood nemesis, the Ministry job he misses so much, and most of all, about himself. What happens when you’re forced to see that you were wrong?
*Another incredible person who I got to know better thanks to her breathtaking storytelling and her sweetness for sharing it with me. Quick made something amazing with this fic and I urge you to read it. It was my first creature fic ever, first time I read about werewolves and I totally fell in love with it. Sheer perfection.
Freedom to be by @quicksilvermaid  (2019; 169.5k)
Summary: Harry Potter is the Boy Who Lived. 12 years after the war, he's become the Boy Who Lived For Everyone Else. He has the perfect wife. The perfect house. The perfect job. The perfect friends. Only nothing feels perfect. Until one day he stumbles across a club called Release and begins a journey of self-discovery that takes him to a very different place.
*Well, could I just miss out on another one of Quick’s great works? With, again, Dom!Draco!??? No, I couldn’t! This is such a great exploration of BDSM and what it means and Harry’s path into it.
19 Years and 5 Minutes Later by TheMightyFlynn (2015; 202.8k)
Summary: Five minutes after his happily-ever-after, Harry finds himself locked in the public loos with an angry Draco Malfoy and a need that he has denied for 19 years.
*Find my rec for this fic here. It’s really long and has Ginny bashing, but it’s totally worth it!!

Hi I wrote an article on Unus Annus for my school newspaper here's that:
Tumblr media
Team Unus Annus 10 minutes before the final stream. From left to right Mark Fishbach, editor Vincent Van, editor Amy Nelson, Ethan Nestor, editor Evan (no last name given)
What if you only had one year? Would you use that time wisely, or would you overestimate your time?
These are the ever looming questions posed by the Youtube channel, Unus Annus, or translated from Latin to English, One Remarkable Year.
Mark Edward Fishbach, and Ethan Mark Darling-Nestor started the channel Unus Annus one year ago on November 15th, 2019. November, Friday the 13th, 2020, marks Unus Annus’s death. To celebrate the pair are having a long twelve hour livestream. From 12 pm to 12 am PST. In CST, Arlington’s time zone the stream will span from 2 pm to 2 am.
The pair created this self destructing channel to press the idea that time is limited, and death is inevitable. “We live our lives taking each second for granted.” “But what would you do if you knew how much time you had left?” Where the opening words of Unus Annus’s first video, posted at 12 am PST. This video set up the theme for  the year to come. Through the year Ethan, and Mark challenged themselves to go further beyond what they thought they could do. “We took each day on as a new adventure, an opportunity to learn, to grow, to step out of our comfort zones. Whether it was being pepper sprayed, or making breakfast with the unlikeliest of tools, this defined Unus Annus.” Ethan wrote in his letter to the channel. But by the end of the year it seemed to grow more cryptic, and emotional.

Tumblr media
Unus and Annus in The Truth of Unus Annus 13 days before the end of Unus Annus
At face value Unus Annus was a simple channel, where two idiots tried to live life to the fullest. Now it seemed Unus and Annus were separate characters from Ethan, and Mark respectively, and as the clock ticked on Unus and Annus took over more, and more.
On October 31st, 2020, Unus and Annus took over the channel a mere 13 days before the end. “Time’s up, it’s been quite a year hasn’t it? Now it’s over. A year is many things, but it’s not forever. There are no second chances, no do overs. You had your one year. Now it’s over. It’s finally time to accept the truth.” Unus and Annus explained to Ethan, and Mark over their walkie talkies. Though Unus and Annus appeared to the viewers before, in the first video, Unus Annus. Again in This Is The End, and once more in This Is Goodbye, posted with 100 days of Unus Annus left. “The end isn’t something you need to fear anymore.  You don’t need us to hold your hand anymore. You’re so much stronger than you know. You have so much potential. You have drive, you have passion, you have creativity. We’re happy to have walked this journey together with you. We’ll always be with you, in your memories. And we’ll have watched over you until the bitter end. “
This is Goodbye was a simple reminder that time was running out, and we had to use it wisely.
And boy did people use it. The Unus Annus fandom is a bustling community full of creativity. Whether in art, songs, stories, or theories the community had no end to their potential just as Unus had told us in This Is Goodbye. In the final stretch we got to experience many fun things, one of the most notable being Camp Unus Annus. A week full of videos of Mark and Ethan having fun in the woods building tents, playing team building games, learning about the dangers of nature, running from bears, and hunting for the ever illusive HeeHoo. The viewers took the idea of Camp Unus Annus very quickly. Everyone made their own character that would go to the camp, found a camp buddy as to not break the buddy system, determined what cabin they’d be in, and of course sold out the merchandise for camp.
Tumblr media
Camp Unus Annus Councilors from left to right Evan, Ethan, Mark, Amy, Bear
Unus Annus has proven to bring people together in a wonderful way. For myself I’ve made many friends in my one year. I’ve written a story for everyone at camp that was extremely well received. Unus Annus has become a big part of many people’s daily lives in just a year! One Example is a student of Arlington high school, removedforstudent'sprivacy. I sat down with removedforstudent'sprivacy to ask her about her experience with Unus Annus
Eclipse: Why do you think Unus Annus was made?
Removedforstudent'sprivacy: I think it’s a social experiment  to see how the internet has conditioned us to seeing things as permanent.
E: What is Unus Annus to you?
J: I think it’s two idiot friends putting their most random video ideas together to create what Unus Annus is.
E: What was your favorite video?
J: Probably all of Camp Unus Annus, and the escape room, but my birthday video was Being Brutally Honest With Each Other and that was sweet. I loved seeing them (Mark and Ethan) communicate and just be thankful for having their year together
E: How has the Unus Annus experience changed you?
J: 2020 as a whole changed me, and it was the perfect year for the channel. Though by the channel’s end I realized the meaning of life, and in fact I was wasting my own time watching the channel.
The night Unus Annus ended I spent it with my friend, Removedforstudent'sprivacy. It was a chaotic night for us both, but I was able to ask him some things in between watching the clock count down, and crying.
Eclipse: Why do you think Unus Annus was made?
Removedforstudent'sprivacy: I think it was to showcase the inevitability of death like they said it was.
E: What was Unus Annus to you?
T: To me Unus Annus was another lifeline. If something was going wrong and I needed to ground myself the videos were there for me.
E: How has the channel changed your outlook on life?
T:It just made me happier. I’m more interested in being alive now, Unus Annus made me think life was worth more than was I initially thought.
E: Are you ready for the end?
T: I believed I was ready for the end, but then I watched it happen. Like everyone else, I was in denial that there was no way they’d delete the channel, then they did. Some piece of me left with it, but now it’s time to get over it.
E: Did you use your year wisely?
T: No. I feel like I could’ve done better for myself. I could’ve bettered myself mentally, emotionally, and intellectually but even with the time limit I just didn’t.
And as the end drew closer I asked myself these questions. To me Unus Annus was a comfort channel. Over the year I grew more attached to Mark, and Ethan even though I’d been watching them both for years before.
Now in a way, I understand how precious time is for all of us. Ethan, and Mark gave an entire year away to us, and now they’re both jumping back into work on their own channels without much of a break. Even as the channel came to an end I was never ready, days after I’m still mourning. I don’t believe I used my time wisely either. There’s some Unus Annus videos I haven’t even seen. I still have an unfinished story people are waiting on. The clock’s run out, and there’s still things I need to do.

We live our lives taking each second for granted, but the end isn’t something you need to fear anymore. We did this year to the fullest. I was happy to walk onto the set today, we did our best, and everyone took it to heart. That’s all I wanted. See you on the other side. Memento Mori, Unus Annus.  We’ll always have the memories, and the merch of course. - Mark Edward Fishbach.

@jacksonstilinskis I deleted your ask because I am a dumb lmao but if I recall correctly it was about stackson and photos right?? oy I have feels.
and I have feels because stackson is always feels but I digress. YES Jackson and his cute butt would be fucking Tumblr famous in like six days and it would start off as an accident.
have some really cute things after the mess that was my last reblog.
stiles would just be fucking around with his phone one day (probably in college, me thinks? sharing a terrible dorm together after Jackson divorces himself from his parents) after waking up one morning, looking over at the love of his life, and deciding he needed to see Jackson every day always. Jackson is sleepy and soft and the sunlight from the window behind him is giving him a full glow with his adorable hair and his ridiculously attractive face.
there’s even a little bit of chest hair showing, which stiles loves (getting Jackson to stop waxing was a fucking miracle of a chance—apparently Lydia had loved the smooth skin, and Jackson had just kept it up out of habit. Stiles was 100% here for not ripping out your hair, especially when Jackson told him it hurt even more as a fast-healing wolf) and his leg is stuck out, because even though Stiles does not doubt at all that “monsters under the bed” are real anymore, Jackson is confident he could take one on and apparently leaves his fucking leg out to tempt them all, because he is an asshole. an asshole that stiles is in love with.
Tumblr media
and Stiles snaps the picture right as Jackson starts waking up, and saves it, and his heart melts every time he looks at his phone.
he decides to post it on a whim. he’s a member of a few online communities based on abuse survivors (of the human and paranormal), some LGBT support groups, that kind of things, and he’s definitely not well known, so he doesn’t think twice about it—he edits the photo a little, cropping out most of Jackson’s face because people are creepy online, and posts it with some caption like “u guys my boyfriend is so cute I love him so much I can’t even handle it send help” to his Tumblr and then goes about his merry way, turning his phone off before his next exam, expecting maybe three or four replies from his closer online friends.
needless to say when he turns his phone back on, he only has a moment to appreciate Jackson’s face as his wallpaper before his phone is literally bombarded with notifications. like, over a thousand in three hours. stiles had never had a thousand notes in the span of a month, let alone a day, and he’s initially nervous when he tells Jackson what he did (”I know it’s creepy but I cropped most of your face out except your cute sleepy smile but everyone loves it so much this was so weird I am so sorry for invading your privacy”).
Jackson, of course, loves it. sure, it might be a little bit weird to have his picture on the internet like that, but the fact that Stiles posted it makes up for it. he's fine with it, and tells stiles that much, just asks that they go over any future pictures together.
(of course, what he loves the most is that stiles posted it bragging about how cute his boyfriend was—not how hot, or how sexy, and he preens at that. at the same time, he realizes Stiles basically told everyone online that he knows that he loves Jackson, and he feels warm about that too.)
Stiles posts a few more pictures of Jackson, only sharing the candid shots he takes, no matter how badly Jackson wants to basically flood the internet with terrible photos of himself (stiles loves Jackson very much but Jackson has TERRIBLE taste in staging a photo. no one wants to see you supermanning on the beach, you ironic fuck). they're all VERY artsy. Jackson in soft lighting, Jackson’s body beneath a single sheet, Jackson bending over the counter as he brushes his teeth in a ratty pair of boxers.
He’s still amazed that each photo garners more and more notes, to the point where he actually has a decent sized following on his blog now—he would feel weird about it, but now when he signal boosts an abuse helpline or a coming out safety list, he’s actually reaching more people, and he can’t be mad about it.
what he CAN be mad about, though, is how badly Jackson wants to get a picture of Stiles on the internet. he fights it tooth and nail, going as far as hiding his head in his shirt whenever Jackson has his phone even moderately aimed in his direction. he’s not hot, okay? he knows it. it’s a wonder that Jackson finds him attractive. he doesn’t need the people of the internet to confirm that he is basically a troll dating an adonis.
Jackson, of course, gets around it, by being an asshole. he steals Stiles phone while he sleeps and snaps what he will later tell Stiles was a selfie, and posts it to his blog. there’s about a fifth of Jackson’s smiling face in the corner of the photo—stiles is front and fucking center, laying on his stomach in bed, on top of all of his sheets, superman pajama pants low on his hips, hair wild and pale, dotted skin on full display. Jackson captions it with “the photographer becomes the photographeee.” that’s it, no tags, no grabbing at validation, nothing.
stiles is almost mad about it when he sees the photo that is getting more notes than anything on his blog ever has. people are obviously blind if they’re telling him he is cuter than Jackson. Jackson is smug, so fucking smug.
one year after the first photo was uploaded, Jackson takes another photo (they've invested in some equipment—a tripod, a real camera, nothing fancy) of he and Stiles both in bed, bare chested, with Jackson’s left arm around Stiles as they spoon, matching rings catching the flash perfectly.
Stiles phone overheats and dies with the notifications that come in for nine days straight.
(also I can’t remember if you mentioned nudes or not, but stiles approaches the subject of tasteful nudity months into the photo experience, thinking along the lines of “posing like a live art drawing”. Jackson immediately posts a shower selfie, and Stiles lectures him for three hours about what constitutes a “tasteful nude” and what absolutely fucking does nOT. Jackson is laughing too hard to listen.)

Jackie Wilson
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jack Leroy Wilson Jr. (June 9, 1934 – January 21, 1984) was an American soul singer-songwriter and performer. A tenor with a four octave vocal range, he was nicknamed "Mr. Excitement", and was important in the transition of rhythm and blues into soul. He was considered a master showman, and one of the most dynamic and influential singers and performers in R&B and rock 'n' roll history. Gaining fame in his early years as a member of the R&B vocal group Billy Ward and His Dominoes, he went solo in 1957 and recorded over 50 hit singles that spanned R&B, pop, soul, doo-wop and easy listening. This included 16 R&B Top 10 hits, including six R&B number ones. On the Billboard Hot 100, he scored 14 Top 20 Pop hits, six of which made it into the Pop Top 10. On September 29, 1975, while headlining a Dick Clark Oldies Concert, he collapsed on stage from what was later determined to be a massive heart attack, and subsequently slipped into a coma, slowly awakening over a period of 8 months. He remained semi-comatose for the nine years until his death in 1984, at the age of 49. Wilson was an inspiration to Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen, James Brown and Michael Jackson to name a few. He was one of the most influential artists of his generation.
A two-time Grammy Hall of Fame Inductee, Wilson was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked Jackie Wilson #69 on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
Early years and career
Jack Leroy Wilson Jr. was born on June 9, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, the only son of singer-songwriter, Jack Leroy Wilson, Sr. (1903–1983) and Eliza Mae Wilson (1907–1984), as she lost two previous children. Eliza Mae was born on the Billups-Whitfield Place in Columbus, Mississippi. Her parents were Tom and Virginia Ransom. Jackie often visited his family in Columbus and was greatly influenced by the choir at Billups Chapel. Growing up in the rough Detroit area of Highland Park, Wilson joined a gang called the Shakers and often got himself in trouble. Wilson's alcoholic father was frequently absent and usually out of work. Wilson began singing at an early age, accompanying his mother, once a choir singer, to church. In his early teens Jackie joined a quartet, the Ever Ready Gospel Singers, which became a popular feature of churches in the area. Jackie was not religious, but he enjoyed singing; the money he and his group earned from performing usually was spent on cheap wine, which Wilson began drinking at age nine. Jack Sr. and Eliza separated shortly after Jackie turned nine.
Wilson dropped out of high school at the age of 15, having already been sentenced to detention in the Lansing Corrections system for juveniles twice. During his second stint in detention, he learned to box and began competing around the Detroit amateur circuit at the age of 16. His record in the Golden Gloves was 2 and 8. After his mother forced him to quit boxing, Wilson married Freda Hood and became a father at 17. It is estimated that Wilson fathered at least 10 other children prior to getting married, and that he was forced to marry Hood by her father. He gave up boxing for music, first working at Lee's Sensation club as a solo singer, then forming a group called the Falcons (The same Falcons Wilson Pickett was later a part of), that included cousin Levi Stubbs, who later went on to lead the Four Tops (two more of Wilson's cousins, Hubert Johnson and Levi's brother Joe, later became members of the Contours). The other members joined Hank Ballard as part of the Midnighters. including Alonzo Tucker & Billy Davis, who would work with Wilson several years later as a solo artist. Tucker and Wilson collaborated as songwriters on a few songs Wilson recorded.
Jackie was soon discovered by talent agent Johnny Otis, who assigned him to join a group called the Thrillers. That group would later be known as the Royals (who would later evolve into R&B group, the Midnighters, but Wilson wasn't part of the group when it changed its name and signed with King Records). LaVern Baker, Little Willie John, Johnnie Ray and Della Reese were acts managed by Al Green (not to be confused with R&B singer Al Green, nor Albert "Al" Green of the now defunct National Records). Al Green owned two music publishing companies, Pearl Music and Merrimac Music, and Detroit's Flame Show Bar where Wilson met Baker.
After recording his first version of "Danny Boy" and a few other tracks on Dizzy Gillespie's record label Dee Gee Records under the name Sonny Wilson (his nickname), Wilson was eventually hired by Billy Ward in 1953 to join a group Ward formed in 1950 called the Dominoes, after Wilson's successful audition to replace the immensely popular Clyde McPhatter, who left the Dominoes and formed his own group, the Drifters. Wilson almost blew his chance that day, showing up calling himself "Shit" Wilson and bragging about being a better singer than McPhatter.
Billy Ward felt a stage name would fit the Dominoes' image, hence Jackie Wilson. Prior to leaving the Dominoes, McPhatter coached Wilson on the sound Billy Ward wanted for his group, influencing Wilson's singing style and stage presence. "I learned a lot from Clyde, that high-pitched choke he used and other things...Clyde McPhatter was my man. Clyde and Billy Ward." Forties blues singer Roy Brown was also a major influence on him, and Wilson grew up listening to the Mills Brothers, the Ink Spots, Louis Jordan and Al Jolson.
Wilson was the group's lead singer for three years, but the Dominoes lost some of their stride with the departure of McPhatter. They were able to make appearances riding on the strength of the group's earlier hits, until 1956 when the Dominoes recorded Wilson with an unlikely interpretation of the pop hit "St. Therese of the Roses", giving the Dominoes another brief moment in the spotlight (Their only other post-McPhatter/Wilson successes were "Stardust", released July 15, 1957, and "Deep Purple", released October 7, 1957.) In 1957 Wilson set out to begin a solo career, leaving the Dominoes and collaborating with cousin Levi and got work at Detroit's Flame Show Bar. Later, Al Green worked out a deal with Decca Records, and Wilson was signed to their subsidiary label, Brunswick.
Solo stardom
Shortly after Wilson signed a solo contract with Brunswick, Green suddenly died. Green's business partner, Nat Tarnopol, took over as Wilson's manager (and later rose to president of Brunswick). Wilson's first single was released, "Reet Petite" from the album He's So Fine, which became a modest R&B success (and many years later, an international smash hit). The song was written by another former boxer, Berry Gordy Jr., who co-wrote it with partner Roquel "Billy" Davis (who also went by the pseudonym Tyran Carlo) and Gordy's sister Gwendolyn. The trio composed and produced six further singles for Wilson, which included "To Be Loved", "I'm Wanderin'", "We Have Love", "That's Why (I Love You So)", "I'll Be Satisfied" and his late-1958 signature song, "Lonely Teardrops", which peaked at No. 7 on the pop charts, No. 1 on the R&B charts in the U.S., and established him as an R&B superstar known for his extraordinary, operatic multi-octave vocal range. "Lonely Teardrops" sold over one million copies, and was awarded a gold disc by the RIAA.
Due to his fervor when performing, with his dynamic dance moves, singing and impeccable dress, he was soon christened "Mr. Excitement", a title he would keep for the remainder of his career. His stagecraft in his live shows inspired James Brown, Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley, as well as a host of other artists that followed. Presley was so impressed with Wilson that he made it a point to meet him, and the two instantly became good friends. In a photo of the two posing together, Presley's caption in the autograph reads "You got you a friend for life." Wilson was sometimes called "The Black Elvis". Reportedly, when asked about this Presley said, "I guess that makes me the white Jackie Wilson." Wilson also said he was influenced by Presley too, saying "A lot of people have accused Elvis of stealing the black man's music, when in fact, almost every black solo entertainer copied his stage mannerisms from Elvis."
Wilson's powerful, electrifying live performances rarely failed to bring audiences to a state of frenzy. His live performances consisted of knee-drops, splits, spins, back-flips, one-footed across-the-floor slides, removing his tie and jacket and throwing them off the stage, a lot of basic boxing steps (advance and retreat shuffling) and one of his favorite routines, getting some of the less attractive girls in the audience to come up and kiss him. "If I kiss the ugliest girl in the audience," Wilson often said, "they'll all think they can have me and keep coming back and buying my records." Having women come up to kiss him is one reason Wilson kept bottles of mouthwash in his dressing room. Another reason was probably his attempt to hide the alcohol on his breath.
Wilson was also a regular on TV, making regular appearances on such shows as The Ed Sullivan Show, American Bandstand, Shindig, Shivaree and Hullabaloo. His only movie appearance was in the forgettable rock and roll film "Go Johnny Go", where he performed his 1959 hit song "You Better Know It".
In 1958, Davis and Gordy left Wilson and Brunswick after royalty disputes escalated between them and Nat Tarnopol. Davis soon became a successful staff songwriter and producer for Chess Records, while Gordy borrowed $800 from his family and used money he earned from royalties writing for Wilson to start his own recording studio, Hitsville USA, the foundation of Motown Records in his native Detroit. Meanwhile, convinced that Wilson could venture out of R&B and rock and roll, Tarnopol had the singer record operatic ballads and easy listening material, pairing him with Decca Records' veteran arranger Dick Jacobs.
Wilson scored hits as he entered the 1960s with the No. 15 "Doggin' Around", the No. 1 pop ballad "Night", another million-seller, and "Baby Workout", another Top 10 hit (No. 5), which he composed with Midnighters member Alonzo Tucker. His songwriting alliance with Tucker also turned out other songs, including "No Pity (In The Naked City)" and "I'm So Lonely." Top 10 hits continued with "Alone At Last" (No. 8 in 1960) and "My Empty Arms" (No. 9 in 1961).
Also in 1961, Wilson recorded a tribute album to Al Jolson, Nowstalgia ... You Ain't Heard Nothin' Yet, which included the only album liner notes he ever wrote: "... to the greatest entertainer of this or any other era ... I guess I have just about every recording he's ever made, and I rarely missed listening to him on the radio ... During the three years I've been making records, I've had the ambition to do an album of songs, which, to me, represent the great Jolson heritage ... This is simply my humble tribute to the one man I admire most in this business ... to keep the heritage of Jolson alive." The album was a commercial failure.
Following the success of "Baby Workout", Wilson experienced a lull in his career between 1964 and 1966 as Tarnopol and Brunswick Records released a succession of unsuccessful albums and singles. Despite the lack of sales success, he still made artistic gains as he recorded an album with Count Basie, as well as a series of duets with rhythm and blues legend Lavern Baker and gospel singer Linda Hopkins.
In 1966, he scored the first of two big comeback singles with established Chicago soul producer Carl Davis with "Whispers (Gettin' Louder)" and "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher", a No. 6 Pop smash in 1967, which became one of his final pop hits. This was followed by "I Get the Sweetest Feeling", which, despite its modest initial chart success in the US (Billboard Pop #34), has since become one of his biggest international chart successes, becoming a Top 10 hit in the UK twice, in 1972 and in 1987, and a Top 20 hit in the Dutch Top 40, and has spawned numerous cover versions by other artists such as Edwin Starr, Will Young, Erma Franklin (Aretha's sister) and Liz McClarnon.
A key to his musical rebirth was that Davis insisted that Wilson no longer record with Brunswick's musicians in New York; instead, he would record with legendary Detroit musicians normally employed by Motown Records and also Davis' own Chicago-based session players. The Detroit musicians, known as the Funk Brothers, participated on Wilson's recordings due to their respect for Davis and Wilson.
By 1975, Wilson and the Chi-Lites were the only significant artists left on Brunswick's roster. Wilson had continued to record singles that found success on the R&B chart, but found no significant pop chart success. His final hit, "You Got Me Walkin'", written by Eugene Record of the Chi-Lites, was released in 1972 with the Chi-Lites backing him on vocals and instruments.
Personal life
Wilson's personal life was laced with tragedy. In 1960 in New Orleans, he was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer when fans tried to climb on stage. He assaulted a policeman who had shoved one of the fans. Wilson had a reputation for being short-tempered.
On February 15, 1961, in Manhattan, Wilson was injured in a shooting. It is said the real story behind this incident is that one of his girlfriends, Juanita Jones, shot and wounded him in a jealous rage when he returned to his Manhattan apartment with another woman, fashion model Harlean Harris, an ex-girlfriend of Sam Cooke's. Wilson's management supposedly concocted a story to protect Wilson's reputation; that Jones was an obsessed fan who had threatened to shoot herself, and that Wilson's intervention resulted in him being shot. Wilson was shot in the stomach: The bullet would result in the loss of a kidney, and lodged too close to his spine to be operated on. In early 1975, during an interview with author Arnold Shaw, Wilson maintained it actually was a zealous fan whom he did not know that shot him. "We also had some trouble in 1961. That was when some crazy chick took a shot at me and nearly put me away for good..." The story of the zealous fan was accepted, and no charges were brought against Jones. A month and a half later after the shooting incident, Jackie was discharged from the hospital.
At the time Jackie had declared annual earnings of $263,000, while the average salary a man earned then was just $5,000 a year. But he discovered that, despite being at the peak of success, he was broke. Around this time the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) seized Jackie's Detroit family home. Tarnopol and his accountants were supposed to take care of such matters. Fortunately, Jackie made arrangements with the IRS to make restitution on the unpaid taxes; he also re-purchased the family home at auction. As far as money troubles went, this was not even the beginning for Wilson. Nat Tarnopol had taken advantage of Wilson's naïveté, mismanaging his money since becoming his manager. Tarnopol also had power-of-attorney over Wilson's finances, giving him complete control over Wilson's money. Unfortunately, Wilson was a rather trusting soul, trusting people he shouldn't have like Tarnopol and some of Wilson's other managers.
Tarnopol and 18 other Brunswick executives were indicted on federal charges of mail fraud and tax evasion stemming from bribery and payola scandals in 1975. Also in the indictment was the charge that Tarnopol owed at least $1 million in royalties to Wilson. In 1976 Tarnopol and the others were found guilty; an appeals court overturned their conviction 18 months later. Although the conviction was overturned, judges went into detail, outlining that Tarnopol and Brunswick Records did defraud their artists of royalties, and that they were satisfied that there was sufficient evidence for Wilson to file a lawsuit. However, a trial to sue Tarnopol for royalties never took place, as Wilson lay in a nursing home semi-comatose. Tarnopol never paid Wilson monies he had coming to him, and Wilson died riddled with debt to the IRS and Brunswick Records.
One of the highlights of the federal tax fraud trial of Tarnopol and several Brunswick executives came when Eugene Record of The Chi-Lites testified that he had been assaulted during a contract negotiation at Brunswick's New York office. Record stated that he asked Tarnopol for advanced money on a recording in 1972 when an associate of Tarnopol's, whom Record identified as Johnny Roberts, asked Tarnopol "should I twist his nose off?" Before any answer came, Record said Roberts "suddenly began to twist my nose, and when I pushed his arm away he punched me in the face, knocking my glasses off." A similar story concerns Wilson, who reportedly was hung out of Tarnopol's office window by his feet when Wilson asked about money, according to Chuck Barksdale of The Dells.
In March 1967, Wilson and friend/drummer Jimmy Smith were arrested in South Carolina on "morals charges"; the two were entertaining two 24-year-old white women in their motel room.
Freda Hood, Wilson's first wife, with whom he had four children, divorced him in 1965 after 14 years of marriage, frustrated with his notorious womanizing. Although the divorce was amicable, Freda would regret her decision. His 16-year-old son, Jackie Jr, was shot and killed on a neighbor's porch in 1970. The death of Jackie Jr. devastated Wilson. He sank into a period of depression, and for the next couple of years remained mostly a recluse.
More tragedy hit when two of Wilson's daughters died at a young age. His daughter Sandra died in 1977 at the age of 24 of an apparent heart attack. Jacqueline Wilson was killed in 1988 in a drug-related incident in Highland Park, Michigan. Wilson's second marriage was to model Harlean Harris in 1967 with whom he had three children, but they too separated in 1970. Wilson later met and lived with Lynn Guidry, a woman who would have two children with him. There was also a woman named Joyce McCrae, a fan who tried to take the role of Wilson's caregiver while he was in the nursing home. He was with Guidry, who was under the impression that she was his legal wife, until his heart attack in 1975. However, as he and Harris never officially divorced, Harris took the role of Wilson's caregiver for the singer's remaining nine years.
Wilson converted to Judaism as an adult.
Death
On September 29, 1975, Wilson was one of the featured acts in Dick Clark's Good Ol' Rock and Roll Revue, hosted by the Latin Casino in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He was in the middle of singing "Lonely Teardrops" when he suffered a heart attack. When he collapsed on stage, audience members initially thought it was part of the act. Clark sensed something was wrong, then ordered the musicians to stop the music. Cornell Gunter of the Coasters, who was backstage, noticed Wilson was not breathing. Gunter was able to resuscitate him and Wilson was then rushed to a nearby hospital.
Medical personnel worked to stabilize his vital signs, but the lack of oxygen to his brain caused him to slip into a coma. He briefly recovered in early 1976, and was even able to take a few wobbly steps but slipped back into a semi-comatose state. He was deemed conscious but incapacitated in early June 1976, unable to speak but aware of his surroundings. He was a resident of the Medford Leas Retirement Center in Medford, New Jersey, when he was admitted into Memorial Hospital of Burlington County in Mount Holly, New Jersey, due to having trouble taking nourishment, according to Wilson's attorney John Mulkerin.
Jackie Wilson died on January 21, 1984, at age 49 from complications of pneumonia. He was initially buried in an unmarked grave at Westlawn Cemetery near Detroit. In 1987, a fundraiser by a Detroit radio station collected enough money to purchase a headstone.
Tributes and legacy
On August 17, 2013 in Cleveland, Ohio, Jackie Wilson was inducted into the Official R&B Music Hall of Fame.
In 1985, the Commodores recorded "Nightshift" in memory of Wilson and soul singer Marvin Gaye, who had both died in 1984. Reaching No. 1 R&B and No. 3 pop in the U.S., and topping the Dutch singles chart, it was the group's biggest hit after the departure of Lionel Richie.
Van Morrison recorded a tribute song called "Jackie Wilson Said (I'm in Heaven When You Smile)" on his 1972 album Saint Dominic's Preview. This was later covered by Dexy's Midnight Runners. When the track was performed on the British TV show Top of the Pops, a picture of darts player Jocky Wilson was used instead. This has often been speculated to be a mistake but Dexy's frontman Kevin Rowland stated that it was a deliberate joke by the band.
Michael Jackson honored Jackie Wilson at the 1984 Grammy Awards. Jackson dedicated his Album of the Year Grammy for Thriller to Wilson, saying, "In the entertainment business, there are leaders and there are followers. And I just want to say that I think Jackie Wilson was a wonderful entertainer...Jackie, where you are I want to say I love you and thank you so much."
Until Jackson's comments, Wilson's recording legacy had been dormant for almost a decade. Tarnopol owned Wilson's recordings due to Brunswick's separation from MCA, but the label had closed down, essentially deleting Wilson's considerable recorded legacy. When Jackson praised Wilson at the Grammys, interest in the legendary singer stirred, and Tarnopol released the first Wilson album (a two-record compilation) in almost nine years through Epic Records, Jackson's label at the time. Through Tarnopol's son, Wilson's music has become more available.
In the VH-1 5-part television special, Say It Loud: A Celebration of Black Music in America, fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Smokey Robinson and Bobby Womack both paid tribute to Wilson. Smokey explained that "Jackie Wilson was the most dynamic singer and performer that I think I've ever seen. Bobby added "He was the real Elvis Presley, as far as I'm concerned...and Elvis took a lot from him too."
In his autobiography To Be Loved (named for one of the hit tunes he wrote for Wilson) Motown founder Berry Gordy stated that Wilson was "The greatest singer I've ever heard. The epitome of natural greatness. Unfortunately for some, he set the standard I'd be looking for in singers forever".
Wilson is mentioned in the song "Gone But Not Forgotten" sung by artist TQ, which is a song dedicated to the memory of famous musicians who have died. The lyric goes "..and Jackie, will you teach me how to glide across the stage?"
Wilson is mentioned in the rap song "Thugz Mansion" by 2Pac. The lyric is:
Wilson scored a posthumous hit when "Reet Petite" reached number one in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Netherlands in 1986. This success was likely due in part to a new animated video made for the song, featuring a clay model of Wilson, that became popular on television. The following year he hit the UK charts again with "I Get the Sweetest Feeling" (No. 3), and "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher" (No. 15).
Rita Coolidge covered "Higher and Higher" in 1977; her version reached No. 2 on the US pop charts, earning a gold record.
In 1999, Wilson's original version of "Higher and Higher" and "Lonely Teardrops" were inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame; both are on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
Wilson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987; that same year, he was portrayed in the Ritchie Valens biopic La Bamba by Howard Huntsberry.
Wilson is referenced in the 1986 song "R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A." by John Mellencamp.
Wilson and "Lonely Teardrops" are referenced in the 1993 song "Jupiter and Teardrop" by Grant Lee Buffalo on their debut album Fuzzy.
In 1988, his version of "To Be Loved" was featured in the film Coming to America, when Akeem and Lisa were falling in love. Akeem (Eddie Murphy) later came back home singing the song loudly, waking up and infuriating his neighbors.
In 1989, "Higher and Higher" was featured in the film Ghostbusters II, the soundtrack album of which featured a cover version of the song by Howard Huntsberry. "Higher and higher" was also featured in Eddie Murphy's 2007 movie "Norbit."
"(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher" was also featured in the 2000 Disney film "Disney's The Kid".
In 1992, Wilson was portrayed in the ABC miniseries by Grady Harrell in The Jacksons: An American Dream.
In 1994, Monkee Peter Tork recorded a bluegrass-rock cover of "Higher and Higher" on his first solo album Stranger Things Have Happened. Tork regularly performs the song in concert.
In 2007, Wilson's music was featured in a film adaptation of Irvine Welsh's book Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance.
In September 2010, Wilson's song "That's Why (I Love You So)" appeared on Dick Clark's Dick Clark's Rock, Roll and Remember.
On November 18, 2011, the Black Ensemble Theater of Chicago produced a musical about Wilson's life.
In 2014, artist Hozier released a song titled "Jackie and Wilson", a play on Wilson's name. The song includes the lyrics "We'll name our children Jackie and Wilson and raise them on rhythm and blues."
The Jackie Wilson Hologram Tour 2017 announced by Hologram USA on Billboard:
"Seen a show with Marvin Gaye last night, It had me shook, sippin' peppermint schnapps With Jackie Wilson, and Sam Cooke."
The singer behind ‘Higher and Higher’ and other hits joins the growing Hologram USA roster.
Add another name to the growing list of artist recreations by Hologram USA: Jackie Wilson. The R&B legend will star in a full stage show with a tour launching in 2017, co-produced by FilmOn TV Networks and distributed online by FilmOn.com. Nicknamed Mr. Excitement, Wilson was a dynamic entertainer whose mesmerizing dance moves and pioneering crossover success influenced a host of future stars including Michael Jackson. In fact, after Thriller won the Grammy for album of the year in 1984, Jackson dedicated his award to Wilson.
Between 1958 and 1970, Wilson charted 16 top 10 R&B hits and six top 10 pop hits. He topped the R&B singles chart six times, starting with 1958's "Lonely Teardrops" (No. 7 on pop). The Detroit native's additional No. 1's included "You Better Know It," "Doggin’ Around," "A Woman, a Lover, a Friend," "Baby Workout" and radio perennial "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher." Wilson, inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, slipped into a coma after collapsing onstage in 1975. He died in 1984.
In a statement announcing Hologram USA's latest artist recreation, CEO Alki David said, "Everything you expect from an exciting ‘rock star’ stage show was invented by Jackie Wilson: the leaps, spins and back-flips, not to mention his amazing four-octave range." David's partners in mounting the new show are Plateau Music Nashville CEO Tony Mantor, who is the Artist Manager for Bobby Brooks Wilson (son of Jackie) and the Heirs of Jackie Wilson.
A ceremony was held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at WHPR TV & Radio. At the ceremony, Cottage Grove Street officially became Jackie Wilson Lane.

Hello ! Do you think it can be considered canon that Ouma has something for Saihara ? And if so, do you think it was really relevant to the story to hint at that ? (That one sentence about him not letting go of someone he fancies in Chapter 4 literaly came out of nowhere and was never mentioned again, but I might have missed something) I personally kinda ship it but do wonder if it was really important to make it a thing.
I’ve answered a bunch of questions along this line ofthought before but yes, I would say Ouma’s feelings for Saihara are canon. There are a bunch of characters with canonically confirmed one-sided feelingsin the DR franchise, so I wouldn’t consider this anything new. If anything, itwas a pleasant surprise to see yet another canonically confirmed gay characterin the franchise, and so soon after Juzo, too (before ndrv3 came out, I was personallyworried it was going to be a long, long time before we got another explicitlygay character).
Ouma’s confession in Chapter 4 isn’t something I would say “cameout of nowhere,” particularly as there are plenty of indications in him takinga much greater interest in Saihara ever since the start of Chapter 2. I thinkin Chapter 1, it’s fair to say that he wasn’t particularly interested though—especiallybecause Saihara was still very much acting the part that Tsumugi had intendedfor him, by being scared of everything, “weaker than anyone,” to put it in herwords.
It is particularly worth noting though that pretty much assoon as Saihara takes his hat off in Chapter 2 and begins deliberately actingin a different way than what was “pre-written” for his character, Ouma startstaking a much bigger interest in him. The “my beloved Saihara-chan” commentsalso start as early as Chapter 2, and teasing or not, I would say it’s stillnoteworthy that he begins expecting a lot more from Saihara as a detective andas an individual both.
There’s also his behavior towards Saihara in Chapter 3,which is arguably one of the chapters where Ouma interacts the most withSaihara by virtue of not yet having begun his own villain routine. Withoutacting so openly hostile and antagonistic the way that he does in Chapter 4,his interactions with Saihara are considerably more playful and even thoughtful.
One of the scenes that’s caught my interest for a while nowis one in which Ouma mentions that he doesn’t actually want to resurrect Amamifor the “transfer student” motive. Surprised, Saihara asks why not, and after abrief pause, Ouma explicitly says that it’s “because he’s thinking of hisbeloved Saihara-chan.” He says he’s pretty sure Saihara would rather resurrectKaede if he had a choice, and that he would rather do what makes Saihara happy—afterwhich, of course, he playfully tacks on a “that’s a lie, though!” But sincethere was no reason for him to bring up that particular conversation in thefirst place, and since he was acting quite serious for most of thatconversation, I firmly believe he was telling the truth.
That little exchange isn’t one I see brought up a lot, but Ido think it’s an excellent glimpse at the way Ouma works, always letting littlesnippets of the truth show before passing it off as a lie because he knows thatno one will believe him anyway as long as he makes the credibility of his ownwords go down. It also highlights the fact that he’s an extremely caringperson, no matter how much he pretends otherwise. Since we know that it’s canonthat Ouma hated the killing game, and hated death and murder in general, it makessense then to think that he was thinking long and hard about the “transferstudent” motive and how getting a chance to meet and talk with the deceasedagain might actually be a chance to bring some closure.
There are also, of course, his FTEs and bonus mode contentas well. While the bonus mode isn’t canon, the FTEs are at least deeply tied toboth his character and the story, and to dismiss those as “not canon” feelssomewhat hasty to me. His FTEs are filled with a considerable amount offoreshadowing for the whole game, and help to shed some light on just why it isthat he starts finding Saihara so incredibly interesting starting from Chapter2 and culminating with their blowout in Chapter 4.
One of the highest possible compliments someone like Oumacan pay to anyone else is to call them “interesting,” or “not boring.” Thereare many indications that he may actually have had some kind of SHSL Analysis. His script in Chapter 5 (which he wrote literally in the span of about twohours) is so incredibly detailed and lengthy that it’s, in my opinion, unexplainable without him having some talent that would allow him to predicthis classmates to that degree—and the only talents we’ve seen along those linesare Junko’s and Kamukura’s. Looking at it from that perspective, it makes sensewhy Ouma brings up words like “boring” and “interesting” so much, as well aswhy he constantly seeks out things that are fun or catch his interest.
This is exactly what he does in his FTEs, especially withSaihara. His first two FTEs with Kaede involve him mostly offering to team upwith her, pissing her off, and her shooting him down. In short, neither of themreally feels like they’re on the same wavelength with each other, and while Ithink he did respect her judging by his final send-off to her in Chapter 1, Ithink her inability to realize that he was posing her a mystery also frustratedhim. In his second FTE with her, he even tells her point-blank that it’s “nothis problem” if she keeps rejecting his offer, and looks disappointed and boredwhen she rejects him for the final time.
By contrast, his FTEs with Saihara are marked withexclamations of surprise and comments about how “interesting” Saihara’sreactions are. Certain dialogue options (especially the more forward andassertive ones) have him remarking “Huuuh, that was completely different fromwhat I thought you’d say!”
Even the entire premise for his FTEs is basically achallenge to someone as weak and timid as Saihara: by posing a “threat” that he’llhave to kill Saihara after a certain number of FTEs now that he knows about his“secret, evil organization,” the easier solution would certainly be for Saiharato just avoid him and never finish those FTEs. So each continuation and eachnew FTE requires Saihara to step forward out of his comfort zone and seek himout if he wants to know anything more about him.
Those small steps of progress and those surprisingly orunexpected comments are basically rewarded with Ouma messing around and playinggames with him for a number of FTEs, finally culminating in the last FTE wherehe loses the knife game that he proposes on purpose, let’s Saihara bandage himup, and then dramatically exclaims that “Oh nooo, I lost so I guess that meansSaihara-chan wins!” Not only is there a lot of excellent Chapter 6foreshadowing (about games that can be won without being played), but there’salso plenty of reason to believe that Ouma really, genuinely did enjoy his timewith Saihara.
He says outright that since Saihara’s been thinking abouthim so much, always wondering why he said certain things or acted a certainway, Saihara’s “heart is full of him,” and “since he has Saihara-chan’s heart,he doesn’t need his life anymore.” This perfectly meshes with his behavior inChapter 4 and other parts of the game: Ouma was clearly curious about Saiharaand wanted to know more about him while also teasing and playing with him, buthe also didn’t want to let him in too closely or allow him to know anythingabout himself.
Basically, Saihara’s ability to act in unpredictable orsurprising ways was the thing that Ouma found the most interesting andappealing about him. It’s undeniably canon that Ouma couldn’t figure him out—notonly do his FTEs suggest it, but Chapter 6 confirms it, with the whiteboard inOuma’s room. Saihara’s picture is set aside from the rest of the group, withthe words “Can’t figure him out?” beneath it. So his whiteboard is yet anotherpiece of evidence backing up the fact that he had feelings for Saihara.
He had feelings, andI think those feelings were something that surprised even himself—whichprobably wasn’t a feeling he was accustomed to considering how much he wascapable of predicting other people’s behavior and various outcomes andscenarios. He was interested in Saihara, clearly, but he also couldn’t fully,100% trust him, or anyone else in the killing game for that matter.
His attempt to force Saihara into joining forces with him inChapter 4 was spurred on not only by his interest in him, which had beendeveloping over the last few chapters, but also the fact that Saihara was (fromhis perspective) the only one who had actually been doing anything productivefor the group, saving everyone constantly in all the trials. Saihara was farmore skilled as a detective than he wanted to admit to himself, due to his owninsecurities, and Ouma saw that and recognized it. But he was also far tooparanoid want to team up with anyone else, which is why he tried to make Saihara cut all ties with the rest of the group. He wanted to work with him, specifically, and no one else.
If you ask me whether I think it was important to the storyor necessary to make it a thing… well, in my opinion, yes, I think it was.Because Ouma’s own emotions, and Saihara’s ability to surprise him, are twothings that Ouma can never fully predict or take into account. And in Chapter 4both of those things come back around to surprise him and to make him finallyshut his mouth when he’s acting horribly in the Chapter 4 post-trial.
One of the most important things about Ouma’s character isthe fact that no matter how infallible he acted, and no matter how convincinghis villain routine was, he was ultimately very, very human at heart. Irecently wrote a post explaining his empathy, and while that empathy helps toset him apart from characters on a much colder, more analytical scale likeJunko and Kamukura, it also makes him vulnerable in a way that those charactersare not.
Unlike Junko and Kamukura, Ouma understands other people’sfeelings perfectly well, and doesn’t enjoy the thought of hurting them. Were hetruly as evil or chaotic as he pretended to be, I’m sure it wouldn’t have beena problem for him to kill any, if not all, of his classmates, moresoconsidering how many tools he had that they never even knew about until thelater chapters. But he never did. His conscience is one of his most redeemingqualities, but it was also a hindrance at times when he wanted to be cold andcalculating and unfeeling. Chapter 4 is the coldest he gets, and Ouma at hismost morally grey—but it’s incredibly telling that even though he has a perfectopportunity to let Maki and Momota both die in his place in Chapter 5, justlike he did with Miu and Gonta, he’s unable to actually do so again.
Then there’s Komaeda, who Ouma still gets compared to quitea lot despite being relatively dissimilar to him in terms of his mindset andactions both. But one of the most notable differences that sets them apart isKomaeda’s inexplicable luck. While it’s true that his luck cycles between thegood and the bad, it’s still a trait that’s more like a force of nature, and itstill makes Komaeda into a larger-than-life figure whose luck would alwayscarry him through his schemes and plans for factors that were outside of hiscontrol.
Ouma, by contrast, has nothing like that to swing things inhis favor. He’s smart—very, very smart, incredibly so. But he has no luck tosway things for him, and so he leaves almost nothing to chance. He calculatesand plans—but he’s unable to make the hard sacrifices that he wants to, whichis ultimately why he chooses to go to his own death willingly rather than keepon sacrificing others. His chessmaster act is ultimately just that: an act. The fact is that Ouma wasn’t aSupreme Leader of anything but a bunch of harmless, silly pranksters, and whilehis bluff was incredible, he was very, very human and vulnerable at his core. And even though he himself might’ve liked to think he was actually someinfallible, ruthless, strategic chessmaster, his own emotions did, I think, catch him off guard.
His confession scene with Saihara shows how even though hewas clearly able to recognize that he had feelings, he also wasn’t able tofully account for how his shitty behavior might be making Saihara feel. Hethought if he kept pushing, Saihara would have to come around and join himsooner or later, and that that they could team up without him fully putting histrust in Saihara or opening up to him. What he didn’t expect was for Saihara to get pissed at him, put his footdown, and call him out on being pathetic and lonely because his actions weredriving everyone else away.
Despite having a comeback to everyone else’s angry remarksin the Chapter 4 post-trial, Saihara’s comment is the only one that leaves himunable to respond. He tries, then goes silent and blank, then finally says he’sgotten bored and walks off. And I think it’s because Saihara’s comment was one of the only ones that genuinelygot through to him. I think he was surprised to realize that Saihara’s comment actuallyhurt, and that he was torn between his own feelings of guilt (both over what hedid to Miu and Gonta, as well as how he began acting towards the rest of thegroup) and his incessant need to keep playing the villain and carrying out hisplan to strike back at the ringleader.
There are all of these reasons, plus the fact that, as I’vediscussed in a lot of other pieces of meta, Ouma’s confession scene iscompletely unskippable. Unlike his FTEs or the bonus mode, it was shown in acompletely story-related, plot-relevant scene. Not only was Saihara himself notaround, but no other characters were at all, meaning that Ouma was completelyalone in that scene. Without anyone else to overhear him, I think it’s safe tosay that there was no reason for him to lie.
His wording was also explicitly romantic. The phrase “sukini natta hito” is used almost exclusively for romantic situations (includingmany love songs and shoujo manga), and is even the exact same phrase Maki usesto describe herself falling in love with Momota in the Chapter 5 post-trial. Itdoesn’t make much sense to me to call it a “hint” when it’s Ouma saying it, buttake it explicitly at face value when Maki says it. Considering how much “love”itself is an extremely important motivating factor for many of the charactersin ndrv3, I think it’s very intentional that there are all these one-sidedconfirmed feelings in the game which drive the characters to do what they do.
Anyway, this has gotten really long so I’ll leave it at thisfor now, but I hope this answered your question! It was really fun to write aresponse to; I love looking in-depth with Saihara and Ouma’s dynamic. Thank youfor stopping by!

How a little muscle intelligence can help prevent yoga injuries
One of the lots of meanings of Vinyasa Yoga exercise is 'to put the body in a details (specific) way with the breath'. Physically we are putting our bones in particular forms with our skeletal muscles, weaving to massage our interior body organs, eliminating limitations as well as adhesions in our connective tissues, and also both challenging and also supporting the different systems (cardiovascular, respiratory system, lymphatic, immune, endocrine, and so on) of the body. Mentally we link to the ebb as well as flow of not just our very own breath as well as body movements yet of every little thing in deep space (whatever develops and everything falls/fades away ... even web traffic!) Energetically, aligning our bodies in stances enables the elimination of blockages in order for the convenience of pranic energy to flow.
Longevity: Practicing your yoga exercise securely and intelligently
I attempt to instil in my students, and also my yoga exercise teachers-in-training, to practise with awareness and objective. I think that by working with the breath and the body in a five-step procedure you can practise secure yoga exercise as well as protect against yoga injuries. Ensuring the longevity of your mind and body both on as well as off the mat.
In my previous write-ups in this collection I covered the first 3 actions to practising securely and avoiding yoga exercise injuries:
Connecting to and moving with the all-natural rhythms of your breath, Prana and the 5 Vayus, activating and engaging your bandhas (internal locks) to support agility of getting on this earth, and proper bone alignment according to stance - positioning your bones in the means they were as well as bone piling when possible.
This post will certainly concentrate on the fourth step: the muscles
By this, I mean triggering your muscle mass with recognition and purpose in order to sustain both fixed holding stances, as well as the transition into and out of such held postures.
What are muscles, exactly how do they work as well as why ought to we have intimate recognition of them?
There are around 700 muscular tissues in the human body. 3 sorts of muscular tissues are:
cardiac - uncontrolled muscle mass just discovered in the heart
smooth - uncontrolled muscle mass discovered in organs and vessels
and skeletal - bone relocating muscle mass that are both voluntary and involuntary
To optimize the emotional and also energised benefits of our practice we require to develop a strong foundation for the body to heal, grow and prosper. This is where skeletal muscular tissue activation plays a fundamental part.
Skeletal muscular tissues are striated, the tiniest unit is a fiber, numerous fibers develop a fascicle, lots of fascicles create a package and also lots of bundles create a skeletal muscular tissue. Skeletal muscle mass fibers run in among 3 states: resting state, got state, or stretched state. When gotten, skeletal muscular tissues relocate our bones where 2 bones meet (hinge joint, ball-and-socket joint and also compressive joint). Knowing precisely how our joints relocate uses an excellent basis for a deeper understanding of exactly how our muscle mass function as soon as activated and involved as we covered in Bone placement - preventing yoga injuries
We can not relocate our bodies without using our skeletal muscles. The only Hatha Yoga exercise position available to us without our muscles activating is Savasana. For the various other 1000 plus postures created, try out as well as practised - whether it be a foot between hands, in an armpit or behind a head - correct activation of our skeletal muscle mass is required as well as necessary.
Muscle contractions as well as their value in Vinyasa Circulation Yoga
In order to move in as well as out of postures our skeletal muscles will concentrically and eccentrically agreement. Upon landing in a picked posture it is the isometric tightening that keeps us steady, secure and comfy (Sthira Sukham Asanam).
Concentric contraction of muscle mass fibers reduces a joint angle, eccentric contraction is an active yet decreased tightening of muscle fibers throughout the increase of a joint angle and also isometric is the activation of muscles (' covering' or 'hugging') without movement of bones.
Once we become intimate with the method our skeletal muscular tissue fibres turn on in order to raise as well as put our bones, we often tend to go on this earth with more convenience and also elegance. It is such a delight to enjoy a personified yoga specialist (or dancer or professional athlete) place their body with full understanding as well as focused intent. And afterwards to see the same person locate the subtleties of their body in tranquility ... actually seeing this can take my breath away.
The consistent and continual scanning of the body in a statically held posture, finding what muscular tissues need to trigger (get stronger) and what muscular tissues require to kick back (obtain softer) as well as making the micro motions needed to discover convenience, for me this is the greatest exploration of our body's capacity to isometrically contract.
Agonist and Villain muscles: The Brangelinas of the body
Although I'm possibly dating myself with this 'supercouple' reference (Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie) I locate this visual drives home a really essential anatomical point - in the human body there more than 600 skeletal muscle mass and all of them remain in a major connection with a minimum of another muscle/muscle group.
When a muscle is an agonist it is the primary mover of the joint. It can just do its job effectively as well as efficiently if its antagonist 'spouse' (the opposing muscle mass, the muscle on the various other side of the body) unwinds and releases.
For example, your dual headed biceps muscle agreements to bend your arm joint (attract your lower arm and also arms towards each other). Your arms can only do its agonistic task successfully as well as properly if the three-headed triceps muscular tissue (which is an arm joint extensor) unwinds as well as releases. No issue exactly how strong your biceps are they can not bend the elbow if the triceps muscles are limited. The very same thing chooses when the triceps muscles wish to align your arm joint (expansion) ... the triceps muscles can refrain from doing their job efficiently and successfully if the biceps decline to relax.
This is why it is so essential for yoga exercise teachers to educate well balanced yoga courses. The entire body requires to be stretched as well as reinforced, we relocate, shape and also bend the body in one direction and after that we need to make sure to relocate, form and bend it in the full contrary direction. This equates right into anatomical language as flexion as well as expansion in the sagittal airplane, abduction and also adduction in the coronal airplane, and rotation in the transverse aircraft. In yoga exercise postures this is revealed as POSTURE and also COUNTERPOSE, the easiest example being Pet cat and Cow Presents.
Harmful regular patterns and the function yoga exercise plays in undoing them
Habitual patterns are produced within our bodies (as well as our minds!) from what we provide for job and also play, from physical or emotional trauma, even from the means we repeatedly position our bodies while we rest. Now, a shape developed in the body once, twice and even 100 times over the span of a life time may not always be dangerous. It is the hundreds or thousands of repeated forms as well as activities we create in and also with our body each day, weekly, as well as each year that become damaging as well as debilitating.
For instance, a lot of my pupils function resting at a desk for 8 or more hrs a day or drive for a living and also discover themselves in forward flexion in the sagittal plane. Often with arms (humerus) in inner turning (rotator cuff muscle mass subscapularis tight and infraspinatus weak), breast muscular tissues (pectorals) held in a tight acquired (at some point weak) state, upper back muscles (rhomboids as well as trapezius) extended and weak, shoulders kept in raised placement (upper trapezius and levator scapula tight), abdominals limited and also weak, and also hip flexors (iliopsoas) super tight encouraging incredibly weak reduced back muscular tissues (quadratus lumborum as well as other extensors).
All of this and a lot more can be seen and really felt on the floor covering in specific postures: weak infraspinatus, quadratus lumborum and stomach muscles, along with tight pectorals, upper trapezius and also lift scapula muscle mass, do not support an effective excellent Chaturanga, limited pectorals, weak top and also lower back muscles, and also limited iliopsoas do not sustain an effective and fulfilling Camel, Bow or Full Wheel, and also weak leg muscles (from sitting way too much) and also tight or weak interior or external hip rotators (from driving leg practices or from crossing legs at workdesk) will all be really felt in standing and balancing poses.
Everything we assume, feel and do gathers in our bodies and also, thank benefits, constantly turns up on the floor covering to instruct us and also encourage us to learn, grow and heal.
Tumblr media
One of the biggest advantages of the physical technique of yoga exercise is the undoing of our habitual habits and patterns. One of my favourite things to state to my teachers-in-training is 'Our trainees involve us in fragmented items like Humpty Dumpty as well as it is our work to assist them place their items back together once more'. In a general class, it is essential that a yoga teacher uses a well-balanced series with both postures as well as counterposes (assume agonist as well as antagonist) - we don't understand what patterns have actually been set up in our pupils throughout their life time. For those people with a daily individual method the emphasis can (as well as will) differ from the general population class framework, we additionally want a well-balanced technique however due to the fact that it is a practice just for us we can modify it in such a method to both assistance and counteract the day-to-day regular patterns as well as shapes we discover ourselves in.
The takeaway
It is essential for us to listen to our bodies and hear what they require in order to return to an all-natural state of homeostasis (vibrant equilibrium). On the floor covering it is essential to challenge ourselves by holding ourselves in positions that brighten our weaknesses as well as we require to discover with breath, movement and patience the locations of our bodies that are limited and also tense.
I am a company follower that we can do every one of this much more effectively and properly if we find out how the human body is made to relocate (anatomical understanding), grow an intimate understanding of exactly how our very own individual body can or can not adhere to match as well as get the knowledge of what we can do on (as well as off) the floor covering to help in our personal recovery and equipping process.

hlo, I like your post 122117875674 and I wondered if you had a list of similar posts and/or a book debunking misconceptions of medieval history that I could read? I am making my way through your "medieval history" tag and enjoying it immensely, but I thought I'd ask in case you had favorites you wanted to point to
Ahahaha, this ask is actually super well timed because I just finished four days at the IMC (International Medieval Congress) running around to sessions and taking gigatons of notes, so I have a shit ton of new stuff to discuss. This year’s theme was “The Other,” so there was an especially strong representation of papers on medieval women, medieval queer history, and other such things.
Some highlights:
I am still hearteyes af over the fact that I got to hear Ruth Mazo Karras (an academic heroine of mine, and whose books I have extensively recommended for people curious about the medieval history of sexuality) give a paper, and I also bought her book, Sexuality in Medieval Europe (I should have got her to sign it for me, heh).  She is definitely still the starting point for reading on gender, sexuality, marriage, mlm, and other questions in a medieval context,(and apparently she is accepting a position at Trinity College in Dublin next year, so I will not-so-lowkey hope she needs a postdoc research fellow, because PICK MEEEE). But Dr. Rachel E. Moss at Oxford University is also working on questions of medieval homosociality (and medieval rape culture, which I found really fascinating) and gender/cultural/sexual social and family history of the medieval era, and she also has a blog.
Amy Ogden at the University of Virginia works on medieval gender representations in studies of saints (including arguably trans/female to male individuals who became monks and how they are treated in clerical writing – in short, these authors struggle to overcome gendered/binary essentialism, but there is also a recognized genre of texts around women becoming/posing as men in order to become closer to God, and this is a cause of concern but also admiration. In other words, arguably transgender medieval figures are not represented universally negatively, but as an aspiration and even an idealisation of holiness). Martha Newman at the University of Texas is also working on similar questions and the case of Joseph of Schanau, a 12th-century Cistercian monk who, after his death, was discovered to be biologically a woman. Prof. Newman has identified some similar themes in Joseph’s treatment by the clerical writer Engelhard of Langheim, and she has a book coming out next year on it. Furthermore, Blake Gutt at Cambridge is studying a medieval French vernacular romance, Le roman de Saint Fanuel, that seems to depict a female-to-male protagonist and saint, who becomes pregnant and gives birth to St. Anne, the mother of Mary (thus, as he put it, “grafting a transgender branch onto the Holy Family”) and does other really interesting work on the reading of medieval texts through transgendered and genderqueer lenses.
Natasha Hodgson, whose work I have also recommended before (and who I also got to see give a paper… this was basically nerd utopia, okay) works on gender and the crusades, including representation of crusading masculinities and women and the crusades. (She is also a person who I am just gonna sit over here and hope needs a postdoc researcher.) Charlotte Pickard works on power and patronage among medieval noblewomen in northern France (another research area/interest of mine), and Harriet Kersey works on the legal and landowning status of women (particularly heiresses) in England.
There was also another session on women and literacy in the Middle Ages, mostly focusing on letters received by medieval queens, and Danielle Park works specifically on crusaders’ wives and gave a paper on the correspondence between Bernard of Clairvaux and Queen Melisende of Jerusalem (for multiple generations in the 12th century, the inheritance/rule of the crusader kingdom in Jerusalem, in fact, passed through/was centered in women. Also, Bernard is probably the actual patron saint of mansplaining, but never mind.)
Anyway, not all of these researchers have published books (although many do), but it will at least point you in the direction of the work they’re doing, and the kind of questions that are being asked in the academic study of medieval history these days. (There were also a ton more amazing panels on otherness as constructed through race, religion, and so forth, that I could not get to because there are literally about 350 sessions at this thing over 4 days). There were also papers given on the shared chivalric culture between Christians and Muslims, the medieval literary genre of “Saracen romances,” and the other ways in which the West has interpreted that encounter and experience. And I can say with 100% more confidence after this conference, which I would have said with 100% confidence beforehand anyway, that anyone who wants to tell you The Medieval View on anything is a) wrong, and b) Wrong. The “medieval view” is ridiculously diverse; the era spans 1000 years (500-1500 is the generally agreed time period) over a vast geographic span and countless cultures and societies, and constitutes, in many cases, a far more nuanced, colorful, and challenging portrait of a flourishing intellectual life and dealing with topics than the “It Was Just The Way Things Were in the Dark Ages” crowd that I hate (uh, strongly dislike) so much would ever have you believe.
So anyway. Happy digging.

hello tumblr! c:
today i bring you some bum by the name of olav yngling, unwitting founder of my new legacyish thing. he is a homebody who loves the sea and aspires to catch all the fish in it. there’s a queue all set up for tonight/tomorrow! tl;dr about rules and things under the cut.
aboutt playstyle & story
- while i’m not a stranger to legacies or posting them online, i am new to using tumblr as a platform in doing so. i play a couple of hours or so before bed to help unwind and sometimes wake up to find that there’s like 300 screenshots in my fraps folder. where before i could get rid of those 300 screenies easily by posting 3 100 pic shitposts to a blog in the span of a few days, from what i’ve seen it’s vastly different here. so pacing might seem a little weird in the beginning, apologies; i’ll work on getting it to less cringe-worthy levels. c:
- i do have something of a backstory that will take several generations to explore (due to features werewolves and expansions witches that aren’t even out yet), but when it comes down to it, it’s the sims that run the show in all their autonomous glory and sim-like glory. i’ll have some posed scenes every now and then (especially when it pertains to the aforementioned backstory), but seeing as how i’ve only had ts4 since the ‘16 winter sale, i...just want to relax and play. i cannot express this enough, don’t let the first few posts fool you.
by the way, olav is named after a real life historical figure / character in another game i play (he got killed after about a month, so i decided to make him a sim and do something with him because he was only sixteen ):). if you know who that is, you might know some extremely minor spoilers about him? i didn’t take too much inspiration from his namesake, though, other than the good trait. his other traits are based on his ck2 ones, kinda.
house rules
- like most legacies i’ve seen around tumblr, this won’t follow the official rules to the letter. i do have a pretty good reason for not being on a 50x50/64x64 lot; the pc i’m using right now will more than likely die this year and big lots full of stuff  just gobble up what little frames the poor machine has to give. to make up for the fact, i’m going to borrow a page from the rags-to-riches challenge and have olav begin with nothing more than §150.
other rules:
olav can’t get a job until his net worth is §20k  or he finishes his aspiration, whatever comes first.
nobody moving in can bring any money, and if a sim moves in while olav is still doing his rags-to-riches thing, they have to quit their careers.
no reloads, unless olav dies without an heir. please don’t die again buddy, your irl counterpart lived a long and fulfilling life :c
at the beginning of every sim week or month (still haven’t decided) i’ll roll a random occurrence simulator. i’ve weighed the options so stuff like "die right now of fire” and “cheat on the mother of your children” won’t come up as much, but still, rng is god and i must do as it commands as creatively as possible. i won’t be rolling anything for gen 1, he’s gonna have enough on his plate.
when each child is born into the legacy, they will be randomly assigned some extra characteristics i’ve added to the ros; this is just to prevent characters over the generations from being too samey and boring. just for fun i’ll also assign them a random song from my music library that will be incorporated into their lives somehow.
heir laws: equality, traditional (the overarching story involves bloodlines, so there’s a biiiig bias towards bionooboos) tolerant. heir will be chosen by democracy, or randomly failing that.

DISCLOSURE: I was invited by the Walt Disney World Resort to experience the Mickey Shorts Theater, but all opinions and over-use of exclamation points are 100% my own.
The newly reimagined Mickey Shorts Theater debuted at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on March 4, 2020, and I was really excited to check it out!
Located adjacent to the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, the new Mickey Shorts Theater is designed to evoke the fun of the Mickey Mouse shorts where ‘Mouse Rules Apply’.
Before you go into the theater make sure you open your Play Disney Parks App to try your hand at Mickey & Minnie’s Trivia Time – Mouse Rules Apply! that celebrates the openings of both Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and the “Vacation Fun” short in the Mickey Shorts Theater.
The game features five trivia packs containing hundreds of questions spanning from Mickey and Minnie’s debut in “Steamboat Willie” to today. Some of these trivia packs will be available at home, while others can be unlocked after experiencing Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway or “Vacation Fun” at Mickey Shorts Theater to extend the cartoon fun even further.
Okay now back to the theater itself, and now that I have finally seen the theater seats from the concept art…I can say without a doubt that I am COMPLETELY OBSESSED with how adorable they are!
Kent Phillips, photographer
Okay…back to the main attraction…the short!
The “Vacation Fun” short is exclusive to Walt Disney World’s Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and includes new animation as well as clips from favorite “Mickey Mouse” cartoon shorts.
“Vacation Fun” features new animation and clips from some of your favorite Mickey shorts, including Panda-monium, Couples Sweaters, Potatoland, Croissant de Triomphe, Entombed, Dumb Luck, Al Rojo Vivo, Yodelburg and Outback at Ya!.
The short move at lightning speed, and has a ‘Greatest Hits’ feel than a regular short. I thought it was a lot of fun, but if you haven’t seen the new shorts it might be overwhelming.
But the fun doesn’t stop there, because after the show guests can make even more memories by stepping into life-sized versions of beloved animated “Mickey Mouse” shorts, where they can pose for photos with family and friends.
Existing shorts from the Mickey Mouse television series that are being used in the post-show photo experience are Yodelburg, Potatoland, Entombed, and Panda-monium.

Jackie Wilson
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jack Leroy "Jackie" Wilson Jr. On the
Billboard
Hot 100, he scored 14 Top 20 Pop hits, six of which made it into the Pop Top 10.

Relationship Status with Social Media: It’s Complicated
I often get asked by clients if I think they should delete their social media accounts.  I try reserve giving direct advice for things that pose a serious and imminent danger to the lives of my clients, so my response varies from “it depends” to “yes and no” to “what are your thoughts on that” (no surprise there – classic therapist response!).  Here’s the deal, when it comes to our relationship status with social media, it’s complicated.  Like almost anything else in life, I would say moderation and intent/motivation are the keys!
  Moderation
Let’s start first with moderation.  If one’s use of social media is getting in the way of being in tune with friends or family or staying focused while at school or work, then chances are there is an imbalance there.
On the other hand, if social media is a fun way for you to stay in touch with your friends by seeing pics of their kids or projects they might be working on and you visit in person and schedule phone dates occasionally, that might be a great balance for you.
It’s hard to define an exact “right” amount of time, but making sure social media use does not get in the way of you living your life with things that need to get done everyday and staying engaged with family and friends is a good thing to strive for.
  Intent and Motivation
I also like to consider one’s intent and motivation for engaging with social media.  A lot of times it starts off with good intentions of following others for inspiration, but it can quickly spiral into severe comparison.  “I want what she has.”  “I’ll never be that good/successful/happy/fit/beautiful.”  “Why is my life the only one that stinks, everyone else seems to have their stuff together!”  You get where I’m going with this.
It can also start with healthy motivation just to stay connected to friends.  But self doubt and low self esteem can often creep in after seeing pics or posts of people hanging out when you weren’t invited.
Another scenario I see a lot is one of extremes when it comes to posting.  Some post only the “good” things in life and others may use social media as a place to vent or maybe even “overshare” (given you may not know your followers or friends all that well) so much so that you end up losing a lot of social connection over it and it can become very isolating again.  Isn’t it amazing how lonely we can often feel as we’re scrolling through hundreds of posts or pics of all these people we’re connected with in some way?
So how do we have a healthy relationship with social media?
Ignore all of this and bury our heads in the sand?  Or maybe officially break up with social media?  The truth is, social media can be used for the good if we have healthy boundaries and a strong sense of what it can do for us.
For example, Pinterest is so great if you’re a planner or visionary!  Instagram can be a great way to find inspiration from wonderful causes such as following a non-profit or your favorite author or maybe an influencer who is body positive.  Facebook has all sorts of community forums and groups that when moderated well by admins, can be strong social supports for individuals who do not have a lot of close friends or family.  Twitter can be great for a quick laugh if you like to follow certain comedians or funny friends.  Snapchat is a fun and easy way to stay connected with your social circle throughout the day or week.  Linkedin may have just lead you to your next job!  YouTube may have just the video you need to learn a new skill.
Know why you’re setting up an account or deciding to follow, friend or connect with someone else and check in with this intention and motivation every now and then to see if you’ve drifted off course without realizing it.
Consider doing a social media fast a few times a year if you begin to feel disconnected from your self or others.  Working with eating disorders a lot, I’m a huge fan of fasting from social media rather than food and often use this as a suggestion for Lent and other religious holidays clients may feel torn on how to honor in their recovery from an eating disorder.
Finally, don’t hesitate to go through and audit your account a few times a year.  Stop following people or organizations that are not uplifting for you.  Delete old posts or pictures that are triggering to you now.
If you’re looking for positive accounts to follow, Harmony Therapy Group has you covered on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube!

Recommended Net Worth Allocation By Age And Work Experience (Part 1)
As of 2H2019, with the normal reserve funds rate drifting around 5%, a middle 401(k) of just $110,000, and a normal 401(k) balance at retirement age 60 of around $230,000, numerous Americans are monetarily screwed.
Simply crunch the numbers yourself. Include the normal Social Security installment per individual of $18,000 per year to a 4% withdrawal rate on $230,000 and you get $27,200 per year to live joyfully until you kick the bucket at 85. That is unmistakably insufficient!
How about we consider this some more. You go through very nearly 40 years of your life working just to live off the lowest pay permitted by law in retirement. Ideally you had the option to celebrate the good life during your working years, generally, by what other method would we be able to clarify a national sub 5% investment funds rate?
Blowing heaps of cash for the sake of entertainment is fine on the off chance that you hope to live like a poor person when you're old. The better method to do things is to smooth out your going through over your normal time on earth anticipation to lessen pressure and carry on with an a lot steadier way of life.
We've spoken in insight regarding the best possible resource designation of stocks and bonds by age. Simply realize that stocks ought to be a minority segment of your total assets when you are middle age. In the event that you so happen to have 100% of your speculation portion in stocks before retirement and 2009 occurs, well then you are up the creek without a paddle.
Figure the amount you lost, compare your misfortune to how long it took you to spare the estimation of the misfortune, and hope to work that a lot more long periods of your life. Well that is discouraging.
We additionally discovered that the middle total assets for 2010 dove to $77,300 from a high of $126,400 in 2007. Then, the middle home value dropped from $110,000 to $75,000. As it were, the middle American's total assets for the most part comprises of home value!
Investigate this outline featuring how a record high 30% of American family units have no riches outside their main living place.
A record high number of family units have zero riches outside their main living place
At last, in spite of a ~400%+ bounce back in stocks since the base of the emergency many individuals passed up the recuperation as prove by an enormous measure of money as yet sitting on the sidelines because of dread.
Anyone who has survived the 1997 Russian Ruble emergency, the 2000 web bubble, and 2006 – 2010 lodging rectification presumably has a decent bit of their total assets in CDs, securities, and currency markets since they've been copied so often previously.
The level of Americans that possess stock has relentlessly declined after some time
The inquiry we should all pose to ourselves is, "What is the correct total assets assignment to take into account the most agreeable money related development?" There is no simple response to this inquiry as everyone is of various age, insight, hard working attitude, and hazard resistance.
I will endeavor to address this inquiry put together based with respect to what has worked for me, and what I accept will work for anyone who is not kidding about structure suffering monetary riches for the long run.
I've gone through more than 30 hours composition and changing this post with the expectation that each Financial Samurai peruser can manufacture a stone consistent total assets portfolio to profit in great occasions and lose less in awful occasions.
THE MENTAL FRAMEWORK FOR NET WORTH ALLOCATION
* You are not more astute than the market. I couldn't care less the amount you've had the option to outflank the financial exchange throughout the years with your $10,000 stock exchanging account. The truth is your presentation will standardize over the medium-to-long run. As you develop your advantages for the many thousands or a large number of dollars, you aren't going to whip around your capital as effectively as before in light of the fact that your hazard resistance will change.
The most perilous individual is one who has just encountered a positively trending business sector. They think they are powerful, confounding a positively trending business sector with their minds until the following unavoidable downturn comes and clears them out. Get it in your mind that you will fail to meet expectations and you will lose cash sooner or later. There is no hazard less venture except if you are putting under $250,000 in CDs, currency markets, or getting US treasuries.
* You are not a money related proficient. On the off chance that you are a product engineer, your mastery is in making on the web programs not giving venture guidance. In the event that you are a craftsman, your ability might be in painting pictures, not suggesting a couple exchange with Apple and Google stock. In the event that you are a Major League pitcher, your aptitude is tossing a frightful shaper, not putting $50 million out of a gaming organization and becoming penniless like Curt Schilling did of the Boston Red Sox.
I've gone through the most recent 27 years contributing my own cash since opening up a Charles Schwab account in 1995. I worked in values on Wall St. for a long time and I got my MBA in fund. Notwithstanding my accreditations, despite everything i'm going to settle on imperfect budgetary choices since I don't have the foggiest idea about what's to come.
In the event that I knew the future, I'd most likely be on a super yacht in the South of France getting a back rub at the present time! The main thing I can do is thought of balanced desires, and contribute as needs be. In the event that you can't think of a lucid 10 minute introduction to a friend or family member why you are contributing the manner in which you will be, you should toss darts.
* You just have all things considered 110 years to live. Insights state the middle future is around 82-85 years of age. Under 0.1% of the 6 billion individuals on earth live recent years old. Accordingly, you should anticipate approximately 80-90 years of life after optional school. The beneficial thing is you have a time span to get ready for your monetary prosperity. The awful thing is you may kick the bucket too soon or live excessively long.
It's smarter to anticipate a more extended retirement and have cash left over to provide for others than miss the mark. This is the reason dealing with your funds effectively in one spot is significant. Individual Capital makes remaining over your total assets simple and free. The web has made things free and simple to follow your total assets, break down your ventures, and run different retirement situations.
* Your hazard resistance will change after some time. When you've just got $20,000 to your name and you're 25 years of age, your hazard resilience is likely going to be higher than when you have a total assets of $2 million and are five years from retirement at 60. When you're youthful, you innocently figure you can work at your equivalent employment for a considerable length of time. The sentiment of invulnerability is fantastic until something occurs.
Remember to give yourself a careful monetary evaluation in any event once every year to ensure your total assets assignment is fittingly scattered. Overlooking your funds isn't the best approach to monetary flourishing. On the off chance that you bet with your funds during the last phases of your life, you will have a much lower shot of recouping.
* Black swan occasions happen constantly. A dark swan should be uncommon, however on the off chance that you've been focusing for the past couple decades, mind blowing money related interruption happens constantly. No one knows when the following frenzy actuated amendment will acquire. At the point when Armageddon arrives, basically everything gets squashed which isn't ensured by the legislature. It's critical to dependably have a bit of your total assets in hazard free resources.
Besides, you ought to consider putting your time and cash in things that you can control. On the off chance that you need proof of individuals not recognizing what they are discussing, simply turn on CNBC and watch them mention bullish intellectuals when the business sectors are going up and bearish savants when the business sectors are going down.
* Bull markets can make you inconceivably rich. Not every person got squashed in the website bubble. A lot of individuals sold their Webvan stock at the top! Buyer advertises commonly toward the end in 4-multi year upward cycles. The course is quite often up and to the directly over a long enough timespan. It as a rule feels more awful passing up a tremendous addition than losing cash. Along these lines, it's imperative to have in any event half of your total assets presented to an improving business sector. The intensity of swelling can't be thought little of. In the event that you are a value taker without blowing up resources, you are losing.

Finally on Sunday 21st of April it was time for something we have been looking forward to: seeing Madmans Esprit play their first concert in The Netherlands.. and they invited no other than the German band VII ARC, who is just like Madmans Esprit is inspired by Japanese Visual Kei music. Of course we couldn’t pass the chance to interview both bands during this day so keep your eyes open for those to come online! You can also win the new Madman’s Esprit EP Glorifying Suicide right here on Saetori, check below for the details!
We got to the venue a little earlier than normal because surprisingly the doors opened at 4 PM, the weather was great so who was complaining. The venue, Bibelot – Popcentrale, is a small cosy place with extremely friendly staff and ideally located smoking area where you can still listen and watch the band/artist perform if you need a little break.
  #gallery-0-10 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-10 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-0-10 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-10 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
VII ARC The first band to play was VII ARC, which in the end everyone rather had them play as second band, after their intro, #nttw, they blasted into their first song. From the start everyone was dancing/headbanging and it lasted well throughout the entire show. Léonie had seen them before a couple of years ago and she feels like they seriously improved even more. What I really liked is that they are able to bring their music/vibe into the crowd, making everyone respond really well to their music and fans/concertgoers. And VII ARC hyped eachother up more with every single song they played. They manage to capture that Visual Kei feeling Léonie, Juliet and I really enjoy. We were doing furi (it’s a sort of synchronized dancing done at Visual Kei shows) and headbanging as we would during Japanese shows. The interaction between the band members was really natural and you could see how much they loved performing. For all of us it was easy to lose ourself in the music and after their show they joined the crowd to watch the other bands play. Another awesome thing is that they were really approachable and they seemed to enjoy Madman Esprit just as much as we did.

Personal opinions Mayo: 100/10, would go see again, no doubt. Léonie: 10/10, they were better than I remember! Juliet: Super energetic 150/10, would go see again
  #gallery-0-11 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-11 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-11 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-11 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Phlebotomized This band came after VII ARC, it’s a metal band from The Netherlands, it started out good but in no time half the crowd wasn’t feeling it, not after the energetic show VII ARC just gave. I would have preferred seeing them first, followed by VII ARC. For me it killed the mood I was feeling. Their songs were very monotone and lasted for what seemed like forever, we wondered if they played the same songs multiple times. (they also decided to pack up during the last 2 or 3 songs of Madmans set and slammed the extremely heavy backstage door and their gear into me (Mayo) three times in the span of 10 minutes which left me with a backache for two days and all of us thought it was very distracting and rude as they had to pass through the crowd trying to enjoy the show)
Personal opinions Mayo: 0/10, would never see again Juliet: -10/10, would rather step on lego Léonie: 1/10, first time but also last time

Madmans Esprit When it was finally time for Madmans Esprit, everyone was buzzing with excitement and the band received many loud screams. I was blown away by the mix of Madmans music, Kyuho has an amazing voice and it seems like he can do anything he wants with it. From clean vocals to screams to grunting and back to clean vocals again. It was really impressive. The crowd was diverse, from girls in full make-up to the older people standing in the back but it seemed like everyone really enjoyed the show. I didn’t spot any interactions between the band members but you could see they were extremely professional. Maybe it’s because Kyuho is the main drive behind the group and the others were supporting him during tour. I can’t really say anything bad about this show, however for me (Mayo) my mood was slightly shot by the Dutch band and I honestly want to see Madman’s Esprit again just to be able to give my full attention because I they are phenomenal!

Measles Propaganda Can Have Dire Public Health Ramifications
Mandatory use of the first vaccine — the smallpox vaccine — became common in the 19th century because that infection had a mortality rate of 30 percent.1 Measles is not and was never as deadly as smallpox. In 1962, a year before the measles vaccine was licensed in the U.S., the measles death rate was reported to be 1 in 1,000 cases.2
However, that 20th century death rate has been challenged by Physicians for Informed Consent arguing that the case fatality figures are based on reported cases and most cases of measles are benign and go unreported.3
Recovery from measles confers lifelong naturally acquired immunity. There is evidence that whatever immunity the measles vaccine provides can wane over time and wear off completely within a decade4 or two.5,6
The answer, we’re told, is booster shots, and making sure every single individual is vaccinated in order to ensure “herd immunity” — a concept that historically applies to naturally-acquired immunity following the recovery from the disease.
Measles infection in developed countries like the U.S. very rarely involves complications that lead to injury or death. If you’re over 50, you might recall a time when measles was a common childhood illness, and most children experienced it and were immune by age 15.7
Parents were not extremely fearful of measles before the vaccine was widely used because, like chickenpox, it was accepted as a childhood rite of passage and complications were rare.
However, measles does have more serious complications for older children and adults, which is why parents in the past wanted their children get the disease when they were young. Authors of a recent study8 in The Lancet Infectious Diseases reported that when measles infection is delayed, negative outcomes are 4.5 times worse “than would be expected in a prevaccine era in which the average age at infection would have been lower.”
Measles Statistics
According to U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data9 published in 2018, the annual number of reported measles cases since 2000 has ranged from a low of 37 in 2004 to a high of 667 in 2014. As of March 7, 2019, a total of 228 measles cases have been reported across the U.S.10
You can see a graph of the exact number of measles cases for each year going back to 2010 on the CDC’s website.11 The National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) also has a page detailing the history of measles in the U.S. and other countries with accompanying statistics and references.12
According to the CDC, the last recorded measles-associated death in the U.S. occurred in 2015.13 But even before the measles vaccine was introduced and given to children in the early 1960s, the annual death toll from measles in the U.S. was between 450 and 500,14 and never approached the high death rate of smallpox, which was a far more deadly disease, and which prompted calls for states to pass mandatory smallpox vaccination laws for children.15
While any death, for any reason, is tragic, it is reasonable to ask whether it makes sense to mandate that children receive vaccines for diseases with low mortality rates when there are many other causes of death that are not only easier to prevent but would save far more lives.
According to a special report16,17 on child mortality published 2018 in The New England Journal of Medicine, 20,360 children aged 1 to 19 died in 2016; it goes on to list the top 10 causes of death in this age group.
Twenty percent of deaths (4,074 children) were caused by motor vehicle crashes, which came in at No. 1, followed by firearm-related injuries at 15 percent (3,143 deaths). In terms of disease, cancer was the primary cause of death (1,853 deaths), followed by suffocation (1,430 deaths) and drowning (995 deaths). A total of 982 children died from drug overdoses. Heart disease killed 599 children and chronic lower respiratory disease took the lives of 274.
Where is the evidence that measles is a catastrophic public health concern comparable to smallpox that warrants forcing all children to get vaccinated or be barred from getting a school education?
Senators Paid by Big Pharma Lead Fight for Mandatory Vaccinations
The U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions held a hearing March 5, 2019 titled “Vaccines Save Lives: What Is Driving Preventable Disease Outbreaks?” 18 The entire hearing centered around the testimony of five witnesses, all of whom were in favor of vaccines.
Meanwhile, more than 500 people, a majority of them mothers of vaccine-injured children, remained unheard in a crowded hallway or overflow rooms, unable to enter the small hearing room.19 According to The Washington Post, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., was the only senator or witness who made a statement questioning vaccine mandates and the threat they pose to autonomy and liberty.20
It’s worth noting that two of the most impassioned senators advocating for mandatory vaccinations and the elimination of vaccine exemptions, Sens. Bill Cassidy, R-La., and Bob Casey, D-Pa., have also received the largest payments from the drug industry.21 Cassidy received $156,000 from the pharmaceutical industry in 2018, and Casey received $532,859 that year.
Fourteen other Republicans and 12 Democrats also received tens of thousands of dollars apiece from Big Pharma last year. For a complete listing of each member and the exact amount, see Matt Novak’s February 26, 2019, article in Gizmodo.22 Many other members of Congress have received hundreds of thousands of dollars from Big Pharma.23
How can we expect impartiality from lawmakers advocating that everyone should be forced to buy and use vaccines when so many members of Congress have financial conflicts of interest with Big Pharma?
Ironically, while defending the absolute safety of vaccines, Casey and Cassidy are cosponsors of the Vaccine Access Improvement Act (S.3253), introduced in 2018-2018.
This legislation aimed to streamline the taxation for new vaccines eligible for coverage under the federal Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP), which was created by Congress in the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury and expanded under the 21st Century Cures Act enacted in 2016. Cosponsor senator Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., commented on the bill in July 2018:24
“The Vaccine Access Improvement Act offers a commonsense solution to get vaccines to patients more quickly, helping to protect Americans against life-threatening diseases while ensuring that the small number of patients who experience side effects get the care they need.”
The Acts passed by Congress in 1986 and 2016, as well as the Vaccine Access Improvement Act (which died in committee in July 2018),25 acknowledge that damage occurs from FDA licensed and CDC recommended vaccines and that injured children and adults should receive financial aid. So why were no individuals who have been personally affected by vaccine injuries and deaths allowed to speak at the hearing?
Healthy Eighteen-Year-Old Complains About Mother’s Decision to Not Vaccinate Him
One of the five witnesses was 18-year-old Ethan Lindenberger, whose mother made an informed decision and did not vaccinate him as a child. After doing his own online research, when he turned 18 he made the choice to get vaccinated. In his testimony, a transcript26 of which can be found on the U.S. Senate website, he talks about his mother’s views, saying:
“These beliefs were met with strong criticism, and over the course of my life seeds of doubt were planted and questions arose because of the backlash my mother received when sharing her views on vaccines. These questions and doubts were minor and never led to a serious realization of how misinformed my mother was.”
Repeating identical talking points offered by all of the invited witnesses and all but one senator on the committee, Ethan also stated confidently, “In its essence, there is no debate. Vaccinations are proven to be a medical miracle, stopping the spread of numerous diseases and therefore saving countless lives.”
“There is no debate?” Typically, only talking heads paid by industry take a denialist position like that. A rationally thinking person who has taken the time to look at all of the evidence quickly realizes that the debate is far from over and vaccine science is nowhere near settled.
House Hearing on Measles Outbreak
The week before the senate’s hearing on vaccines, the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee held a hearing on the measles outbreak and response efforts.27 This hearing can be viewed in its entirety on C-SPAN’s website.28
As expected, the witnesses and members of the committee denied there are serious vaccine risks — or if there are, they are almost nonexistent — and pointed the finger at parents with unvaccinated children attending school as the reason for measles outbreaks.
However, according to the CDC, over 94 percent of kindergarten children nationwide have received two doses of measles-containing MMR vaccine and only about 2 percent of children attend school with vaccine exemptions.29
The herd immunity threshold for vaccine-acquired artificial immunity is thought to be between 80 and 95 percent,30 depending on the disease in question. For measles, it’s between 90 and 95 percent. Yet, the high vaccination rate in the U.S. isn’t enough to thwart outbreaks, and evidence suggest they would probably continue to occur even if vaccine coverage was at 100 percent.
Measles Outbreaks Repeatedly Occur in Highly Vaccinated Populations
One of the problems is that measles outbreaks occur even in highly-vaccinated populations.31,32,33,34,35,36 A 1994 study37 looking at measles incidence in Cape Town, Africa, indicated that as vaccination rates increased, measles became a disease in populations where the majority of children had been vaccinated. The immunization coverage was 91 percent and vaccine efficacy was estimated to be 79 percent.
According to the authors, “The epidemiology of measles in Cape Town has thus changed as evinced in this epidemic, with an increase in the number of cases occurring in older, previously vaccinated children. The possible reasons for this include both primary and secondary vaccine failure.”
By the early 1980s, about 95 percent of children entering kindergarten in the U.S. had received a dose of measles-containing vaccine but, in 1989-1990, there were outbreaks of measles among school-age children and college students.
Public health officials responded by recommending a second dose of MMR vaccine for all children. In an article published in Clinical Microbiology Reviews in 1995, researchers stated:38
“Measles, which was targeted for elimination from the United States in 1979, persisted at low incidence until 1989, when an epidemic swept the country. Cases occurred among appropriately vaccinated school-age populations and among unimmunized, inner-city preschool children.
In response to the epidemic, measles immunization recommendations have been modified. To prevent spread among school-age populations, a second dose of MMR vaccine is recommended at 5 to 6 or 11 to 12 years of age.”
Today, measles outbreaks are occurring even in populations that have received two or more doses of measles vaccine, and/or where vaccination rates are above the “herd immunity” threshold. Examples include:
• A 2017 measles outbreak in a highly vaccinated military population in Israel, ranging in age from 19 to 37. The first two patients identified had both received two doses of measles vaccine. Patient zero, a 21-year-old soldier, had documentation of having received three doses.39
• A 2014 study40 conducted in the Zhejiang province in China found that populations that have achieved a measles vaccination rate of 99 percent through mandatory vaccination programs are still experiencing consistent outbreaks far beyond what the World Health Organization expects.
What’s more, 93.6 percent of the 1,015 participants in this study tested seropositive for measles antibodies, which theoretically means they should have been protected against the disease.
Ignoring Vaccine Injuries Is What Causes Mounting Public Distrust
youtube
Parents who have experienced the pain of watching a perfectly healthy child decline shortly following vaccination, or who die or are left with disabilities and chronic poor health, are legitimately crying foul for being left out of congressional hearings that called for stricter mandatory vaccination laws, and which criticized parents of unvaccinated children while suggesting vaccine conversations about vaccine risks should be censored on social media.
Public concern about the safety of vaccines is indeed growing. There is a growing distrust of federal health agencies responsible for regulating the safety of vaccines and making vaccine policy, and it’s because Big Pharma and the government are trying to bury the evidence.
Where are the scientifically sound studies comparing the health outcomes of vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals?
When government officials flat-out deny the obvious, the seeds of public mistrust are planted. Today, many of us know someone who has been injured by a vaccine, and more and more people are sharing their stories in an effort to prevent others from having to live through the same pain. It is a reality that simply cannot be denied any longer. To learn more about vaccine injury reports, visit:
