wait sorry what's the Aqua Shooters! joke? I googled it and it looks like the price is 30-125 USD, which isn't great but as far as collectible figures go it's not nearly the worst I've seen. Am I booboo the fool and there's something obvious I'm missing? Or is google just showing me the wrong thing?

the lower-end prices aren't that bad, but when you get into the higher-end, the prices do get a bit silly for what they are (some running twice as high as competing figures, or even just other similar ones that are also from bandai)

mostly it's just a bit surprising for figures with current runs to have the same pricepoint as comparable discontinued figures. it's not DRASTIC, but it's funny to overreact

#important note: I actually don't usually buy new figures because I have boomer (10-20 year old series but that's boomer for figures) taste #so I'm pretty adjusted to sticker shock for figures given that the ones I want are usually hard to come by #I'm quite happy with my little collection of relatively rare f/sn merch and only really buy gunpla new #and if I really did get into buying more new releases it'd almost certainly be just for kit-original plamo to make mecha musume

#i just noticed that i've been suuuper inactive on this blog #for which i'm sorry #but also uni has been hell #one of my professors has decided that we should do two courses worth of reading for her seminar every week #and i've been stuck in group project planning hell for like three weeks now #i also might have put a bit too much pressure on myself when it comes to project so besides correcting the new Hot Mess chpt #i've also been working on three other projects and still need to do work for my uni classes #i really wanted to put out the new chapter this week but that has.... left the realm of possibility #i want to write so so badly but i have to finish like 30 stickers/ finish 2 other chapters/ knit 2 scarves/ hand in 3 more projects #all before christmas #i read a post yesterday that was like name one thing that you're gonna do for yourself this week #and i came up blank #eveything i'm currently doing is either for class or for other people so they're happy #don't get me wrong i enjoy writing/ drawing/ knitting but... #i don't know #Hot Mess used to be my self-indulgent project but now #the seasonal mentol illness hasn't been helping either #all my friends are miserable and all i do is either drown myself in work or be miserable too #my last short story made my bff tell me to go talk to my therapist about it #so that's how my non-fanfic efforts have been going #there's another story i need to write a date chapter for but I haven't been able to write actual romance for about a year now #idk what's wrong #maybe nothing is wrong and this is just what i'm like when i'm off my meds and i simply forgot #i've been forgetting a lot of things

one of my coworkers gave me a sticker for my water bottle, and it inspired me to put more stickers on it.....i have a whole bunch of like horror movie stickers and one unicorn (sticker my coworker gave me) and it's so funny like there' freddy kruegers and jasons and michael myers and chuckys and a pinhead and then there's just this cute little unicorn (coworker said she tried to find the most masculine looking unicorn she had because the only stickers she had were unicorns) and i just love it
