🌸 Surprise! @cosplayfabrics & @joann_stores commissioned me for another project, this time the theme was using as many of their new Spring line as possible! My beautiful friend @yayahan modeled one of them before they will both be displayed in the flagship Torrance, CA store! It was a fun challenge to use so many colors & textures together! This Ombré Lattice is finally finished! This quilt was a doozy. I started this quilt about a year and a half ago. I thought it looked very simple. It was my 3rd quilt. And it really isn’t that hard. But there were certain tricks that I wasn’t aware of, wasn’t always measuring or sewing correctly, and was ready to give up. I wanted to burn it. While at a quilting retreat, the ladies helped me and showed me how to make the blocks properly. It gave me the confidence to finish it! I’m so glad to have this done meow though. I will definitely take some good pictures when it’s nice out, but it’s rainy here, and my lovely quilt holder went to work. 😁 The cats have already claimed it as their own! Completed commission: Princess Zelda Gown! 🔥2020 COMMISSIONS WILL BE OPENING VERY SOON.🔥 I really loved making this one, the colors are like candy! The majority of the dress is ombre chiffon, the shoulder/neck purple to pink ombre was airbrushed since it was a much smaller area. Underskirt is purple to pink, overskirt is dusty pink fading to a violet. The bodice & draping fabric in the back is fuchsia/purple shot silk dupioni, lace up back with the logo satin stitched on. Hand affixed crystals in twilight at the top, gold on lower areas.
