- Elegance of The Switch Blade -

We Havenites; have collected and harnessed energy from the Core and placed them into our best weapon made in history. The sword.

The Switch Blade is an elegant weapon founded in the ancient times of Kingshaven history. As the grand hub of trade and advancements whom; the lesser civilizations will blindly label as Witchcraft.

The Blade takes on the simple form of a regular sword upon first appearance. Concealed to appear like a normal weapon. The unique design to the weapon is the piece of Burning Core fitted at the near edge of the Scabbard. When unsheathed, the weapon takes on one of the abilities of The STAB as shown.

While this weapon on display shows; the Tide.

The other parts of The STAB is just as fitting to the weapon with varying effects. The Switch Blade functions much like a normal Melee weapon that also has the function of a range weapon to fire blasts of the STAB.

The weapon also has a limited charge between its Cross Guard section and the Scabbard. Often requiring it to be sheathed to recharge. On the Pommel, lies the Core Bar that shows the user its current percentage.

The design aspect of the Switch Blade varies from the person's personality. The most common customization is the Scabbard of varying designs with matching pieces on the handle. Its a weapon that is famously given to a Havenite child when they come of age (around 14)

Given that the Blade only holds one of The STAB, it encourages users to not only master their STAB but also learn how to work with others as well.

A small gold charm of the Triforce inlaid with ruby, sapphire, and green topaz.

Interestingly, this charm includes a detail that is usually glossed over in modern Triforce charms: in the hollow center of the charm the symbol for earth is printed. In early Hyrulean cosmology the three upwards triangles not only represented power, wisdom, and courage (counterclockwise), but the four elements. Though the beliefs around these elements still influence the Triforce’s modern meaning, it is fairly rare to see a charm that still includes their elemental symbols.

This isn't a story, just some (very important) world building for the Vore Lore™️.

CW: existential concepts

I'm sure you're aware of the 4 elements. Earth, water, air and fire. Sometimes they go by different names, but it's almost always these 4. But there's one element, often forgotten and neglected, mostly due to its incomprehensiblity:

Null.

To quickly summarise what null is in a way most sentient beings can understand, picture the 4 elements as being bricks. You use these bricks to build a house. They take the shape just fine, but the house can be toppled very easily. Even though the bricks are arranged in such a way that they appear linked, they are still separate. To ensure the house is stable, you need to line the bricks with mortar. Null is this mortar.

Now that was a very, very simplified explanation, but it does the job well enough.

Research into null is banned by most research organisations that are aware of its existance, due to the fact that most research into it proves fruitless, and any instances that do produce results have always lead to the researcher in question having their minds permanently shattered. Once, a researcher simply walked through the exit door of the laboratory and simply vanished. No trace was ever found of them.

Some believe that null is the key to freely travelling through time and space, and even dimentions and between universes. This would prove incredible for the advancement of technology, but could just as easily be catastrophic for all of existence.

Null as an element has some interesting properties. It is supposed that null is what gives beings life, with the more null a being has, the more powerful they are. And according to rumours, the null element may itself be alive. But that prospect alone raises more questions: Does it think? Does it feel? Does it want?

Of course, that's all speculation and theories. After all, no being is mentally capable, nor brave - or stupid - enough to attempt to prove or disprove any of them.

Surely not, right?
