I've decided the only reason Lloyd, known descendant of dragons, didn't tell this to Egalt, who refuses to train non-dragons, is for the same reason he never mentioned he's the First Spinjitsu Master's grandson. It just never came up. Nobody asked him directly about it. And besides, he's only like, one-fourth dragon, so does it really count? He doesn't look like a dragon, and he has never in his life considered himself a dragon. Mentioning his ancestry to Egalt probably would've just made him look like some hotshot, or make him more annoyed. There's no need to bring up such a silly little fact. He's sure it won't be important later.

How to Watch the Entire Ninjago Series For Free in a completely Legal way!
Tumblr media
Hey, I know this isn't usually a Ninjago blog, But I have something cool to show you Ninjago fans. Me and my brother regularly watch Ninjago together and it wasn't until recently I found out that some Ninjago fans are having a hard time watching the full series because of streaming. So I'm going to show you all how me and brother watch the full series completely free! With no illegal downloads or sketchy sites. This could also be helpful for those just getting into the series. Enjoy!
First head to Tubi! They have seasons 1 through 7! Everything from the pilots to Hands of Time.
Next, head to Pluto! They have seasons 8 and 9. Sons of Garmadon and Hunted!
Next head to Cartoon Network Asia! Don't be fooled by the title. The episodes ARE in English. They have seasons 10 through 15. March of the Oni, Secrets of Forbidden Spinjitsu: Fire Chapter, Secrets of Forbidden Spinjitsu: Ice Chapter, Prime Empire and Master of the Mountain! Although, a chronological list of the episodes order may by ideal, since a few are out of order on the site.
Finally, head to YouTube, for seasons 16 through 18. The Island, Seabound, and Crystalized.
And you're done! Now you can watch Dragons Rising properly reminded of all that came before. Happy watching!

,,,,i just realized an interesting ninjago worldbuilding implication.
is spinjitsu a heavenly art? because the first master is the first SPINJITSU master, and it's said he used the four cardinal elements and spinjitsu to create ninjago. spinjitsu can only be taught by someone who already is a spinjitsu master, which is pretty much only the fsm and his sons. the tactic is passed on to the ninja, misako, and aspheera (and however doubloon learned it), and arin is an anomaly to learn it on his own just by watching masters do it
but like. spinjitsu i think works the same as a miracle. something that only those connected to gods could do, and those blessed by them. so someone seeing someone perform spinjitsu would be the same as seeing someone perform a miracle, right? idk

Y'all we don't talk about how wild it is that Wu is the First Spinjitsu Master's son enough. He's the son of literal GOD, who existed CENTURIES ago. That's his Dad. What. And he's just messing around and picking random young adults up off the streets for kicks and giggles and ninja training. Imagine if actual Jesus was just walking around your city and opening up failing tea shops. Imagine that you deliver mail to him. You just hand him his bills and his waxing coupons from the town over. You evict him from his property when his tea shop gets destroyed and send Jesus to the slums.
What the fuck.

Here is a very random pet peeve I have with Ninjago:
Why did we not get a Jay & Nya wedding?!
Like, March of the Oni he proposed to her and everything. Then we DON'T get a wedding? How does that work?!
I understand like Skybound trauma or something, so they might want something private, but they never address that.
It would be SO WHOLESOME.
Why did we not get a Jay & Nya wedding?!
I think I kinda know why. The Wildbrain era wanted to tonally de-age the ninja back into teenagers. And two ninja getting married would be not doing that.
This kinda goes for the posts I spoke about Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitsu where I talked about my big change being that there was NO reverting back into teenagers, and instead it was a continuation of their transition into adulthood.
Have the premiere of the season BE their wedding! It would be so adorable and a fresh change of pace!
Like have Jay wake up Zane (from that Aspheera/Ice Emperor nightmare) in a panic about his hair for this big day, have Zane help him out and try to calm Jay down because Jay would be such a nervous/excited wreck. (And have Zane's calming attempts fail miserably. It would be funny and both play into what I said in other posts)
Have Nya be hesitant about wearing a wedding dress due to Skybound trauma. Lloyd could be there and she could talk to him about it, but be vague cause he wouldn't remember Skybound. Like, "I'm worried that I won't get a say in something if I say the words, like I want this, but what if it all went horribly wrong? The greatest love stories always end in tragedy and... I don't want that to be the case for me."
(Which, you know, would be FORESHADOWING)
And Lloyd could be unsure what to say (because Harumi trauma) but still encourage her that nothing HAS to end horribly. They've been dating for years, and they know they can trust that Jay wouldn't hurt her. She wouldn't hurt him. That's the beauty of a relationship, that you can trust them. It's a dynamic they both want. Even if something bad were to happen, her family would always be there. (Insert surrogate siblings hug)
But also it'd make them both realize that Kai is not here when he should be.
He's downtown. He's trying to pick up a wedding gift for his sister. It is taking FOREVER. It's driving him nuts because impatient hothead. Eventually he just snaps when the shopkeeper says it's not done being cooked. In my head he just snatches it, sets fire on it, throws it in the box, and runs out of the shop, throwing money at them on the way out. The whole time, he's just trying to run to the monastery for the wedding, with SO MANY setbacks on the way. (Take Across the Spiderverse with Miles trying to get to his parents party with that cake, kinda what I picture)
Cole and Wu could be on catering, they could talk about Wu being freshly retired and Cole getting into the baking business. (And we could have a running joke about Cole trying to sneak in a bite of cake and someone slapping him away.)
Nya & P.I.X.A.L could have some gal talk when getting ready and the droid gal could be encouraging. (I feel like since the Oni Trilogy, Nya's been getting more comfortable with being feminine, and I'm all here for that, I think that's really cute development. She could be so against this girly talk but then she tries it here and actually likes it)
Ed and Edna being SO overbearing in the wedding. Just smothering all over their son and their new daughter in law.
Have Wu give their blessing, trying to comfort a still nervous Jay, and Jay could just have all those nerves vanish when Nya comes out.
All ninja but Kai are there because First Spinjitsu Master does not want him to be at his sister's wedding. And you could have whoever else you want there.
Have them have a happier stress-free re-phrase of their confessions in Skybound. Nya could talk about how she didn't have a lot of friends as a kid and knew nothing about love or relationships, but Jay was the one person she let into her heart, and despite her fears and insecurities in the past about herself, she knew she wanted him to be the one. She felt free with him, she felt free to have a voice and say she wanted to be with him for as long as she possibly could. That's her wish this day. Jay could talk about how he was always looking for bright opportunities for himself, but the brightest he could ever have was her, a courageous strong willed smart beautiful amazing girl loving him back and seeing him as he was as the best version of himself. That told him well enough that this was love.
(I imagine Cole is the crier because that just seems like fitting characterization to me)
"I now pronounce you yin and yang-"
And just don't have Wu finish the phrase because one of them just jumps on the other in adrenaline and excitement.
The after party Ed and Edna are, again, smothering all over the couple. Cole just loads up with cake (that only he touches because he made it and he's a bad cook). Zane and P.I.X.A.L could be dancing, everyone's having a good time...
And then FINALLY Kai shows up, busts open the monastery doors, and stands there panting and a wreck. He stops the whole party and everyone just stares at him like "what?"
Nya would proceed to yell at him for BEING LATE TO HIS OWN SISTER'S WEDDING, and they could argue about what happened because they're both stubborn like that.
And the wedding gift Kai got for her? It's charred up. Because he burned it with his fire and didn't let the shopkeeper take care of it.
But he had something else he picked up along the way, which was something from their childhood that Nya liked (you can decide what). And like that Nya's anger drops and he thanks him for it.
And Kai did not get Jay any wedding gifts because 'screw my in law'
Jay calling this out prompts him to dance with Nya, she obliges, and the little sibling moment is kinda ruined, leaving Kai in the dust. (Again, my other posts where I said Kai would be trying to keep things the same)
And Lloyd was by himself, sitting in a corner minding his own business. He's happy for them, but he also has a hard time being comfortable because of what happened with him and Harumi. So he's trying to distract himself with looking through some job opportunities in some newspapers. He can't find any. Kai could find him, surrogate brothers moment, he could notice Lloyd looking for crime on the newspaper, and because this is post the Oni Trilogy, crime has slowed down, and this is supposedly their happy ending. You know, 'and they got married and lived happily ever after' and all that. But Kai, not accepting that, kinda butts in and agrees to take Lloyd out to town tomorrow morning to go look for crime to stop, just like old times. And Lloyd would go along with it cause 'well I'm a seventeen year old and past due with getting a job'
(And Zane decides to go with them because he's in the same boat as Kai, so technically it's just Kai, Lloyd, & Zane running around looking for crime to stop rather than the whole team. The other three still go to the pyramid though.)
That's my dream reality of s11's premiere anyway.
But even if that wasn't the case, I have to ask cause it bugs me,
Why did we not get a Jay & Nya wedding?!
There you go, that's my content for Jaya week. It doesn't fit any of the bullet points for the week but oh well.

Pull of The Tides: my silly ninjago pirate au
idek where to start so.
A little after Morro runs away from Wu, he starts looking for the First Spinjitsu Master's tomb. Obviously not getting much luck, he finds a harbor town, and a strange demon woman who promises to help him exact his revenge on destiny. Resuming his search for the FSM's tomb, he turns to the seas after hearing rumors the tomb is at the bottom of the ocean, and starts a small but strong group of pirates on a stolen boat.
A few years later, he raids a village through it's rivers for rice and money, and finds a blacksmith shop with a small boy challenging him with a crude sword. His smaller sister stands behind him, yelling at him to get out.
Instead of fighting them, Morro takes them with his crew and raises them like siblings, learning they have elemental powers like him: the girl controlling water, and the boy controlling fire. Immediately Morro begins training them in combat and helping them control their powers, both so that they can be of use to him and so they don't sink his ship. The girl, being named Nya 'Waterwalker' Jiang, and the boy named Kai 'Flint' Jiang.
About 10 years go by, and Wu becomes very confused to find an empty blacksmith's shop, one that looks like it's empty for quite some time. Asking nearby neighbors gets him dead ends and more confusion, so he goes back to the monastery empty handed and continues training his own students, Jay, Cole and Zane.
However, when they get an emergency letter from a coastal village asking for defense from pirates with elemental powers, things start to click. Wu finds a familiar face on the captain draped in green commanding wind, and two others who bear a striking resemblance to his missing friends, Ray and Maya.
Wu tells his former student that whatever he's looking for, he'll have to go through him and his students. Captain Morro informs him that his quest for his father's tomb has been abandoned, and his crew is now looking for something- or someone- more powerful: the green ninja.
It becomes a race against each other to find whoever and wherever this green ninja is, with Morro somehow ending up with another kid who says he's the son of Lord Garmadon himself. He's a brat. Morro's not too sure why he's still on the ship.
feel free to send asks about this au!!
PT skins of kai, morro, and nya under the cut :3

The concept of the overlord always confused me.
He is described as darkness and evil itself. While I have no problem with an unsympathetic villain, the plot of Ninjago has always focused more on a sense of balance especially in the later seasons such as the existance of the Oni and Dragons. So I find it very hard to accept that they make the Overlord a primordial being representing everything evil when the Oni already exist representing destructon- not that Oni are evil (Mystake I love you) but they already represent a side considered dark.
Yes, I know that the Overlord is an already established character from the very first seasons of Ninjago so even if they wanted to change what they said about him, it wouldn't be easy but I wish they involved a backstory for him? Not really but c'mon Ninjago- give me more than just a simple "I was born from darkness"
WHY...WERE YOU BORN FROM DARKNESS? Were you the previous "God" of Ninjago before the first spinjitsu master came? Was Ninjago that "evil" of a realm that the overlord came into being? Did the first spinjitsu master make some big mistake for you to manifest?
(After asking myself that question I went to the wiki and saw that the overlord was born out of darkness because Ninjago was created so what if because of FSM's desperation to make a peaceful world he didn't know th consequemces to that and then the overlord came into being. Man I wish this was canon and they explained it in the show....)
Did you create Wojira or were YOU her? I don't know give me something especially with how complex Ninjago made the Dragon and Oni lore :((((
This is probably Crystalized's fault for messing up the lore so much but I persinally like making sense of canon even when it DOESN'T make sense overall- I mean fanfics and headcanons exist!!!
Continue if you want Headcanons that possibly- most likely don't make sense. They're just Ideas that I thought of that seem cool.
1. Personally, I like thinking that the Overlord is the Oni's leader and not that pushover Oni Lloyd and Garmadon fought in March of the Oni. Like, the Oni migrated right? There were no more Oni in the first realm when the Ninja came and clearly they left a long time before season 9 happened.
Ooohh what if March of the Oni happened cayse the Oni were trying to prepare for the Overlord.
I know this headcanon makes it look like I'm saying the Oni are a one dimentional race but it's just cool if both Oni and dragon (cause there's ultra) came to Ninjago to look for FSM anf while Oni were missing (?) the dragons befriended his sons. Idk it sounds cute.
2. I noticed while watching some Ninjago clips that the Overlord looks like a combination of a dragon and an Oni, like a dark dragon. I mean that's what he transforms into in season 2- Maybe this is why the Dragon and Oni were so desperate to get the FSM on their side cause before him the Overlord came, decided he woke up on the wrong side of the bed, nearly destroyed both species and then they banished him somewhere else.
Oh? You're saying I'm giving a supposedly unsympathetic villain a backstory when he isn't meant to have one? Ya so what? It's an interesting take if I do say so myself even if the FSM lore we're given contradicts me
I hope you can tell J like making bavkstories for no reason😭

FSM theory
I have some strange though about First Spinjitsu Master some time ago. He was half Dragon and Half Oni and we saw that his two sons live very long but he die long before start of series.
And it's still have no sense as we see Omega, First Born or Mystake that sometime even older than FSM still alive in series. So why he die?
And I find interesting idea about that why.
He torn himself when making Elemental Masters.
Look at Elemental Powers. In most case you can give element to ability of Oni or Dragon. And it would mean he just give each of elemental master part of himself that could use that one ability and that's why he die. Because he torn himself to create protectors of land he created.
I'm not sure how strange it sound but just needed to get this out of my head. I will maybe later make more detail about this but it actually make sense in my head.

@bluetorchsky THIS IS GOING TO BE LONG SO I'M MAKING A SEPARATE POST! The green cousins are, in fact, Morro and Lloyd!! Keep in mind this is almost entirely headcanons!!
So, these two are dubiously cousins- Lloyd is the son of Garmadon, and Morro was sorta-adopted by Sensei Wu who is Garmadon's brother. Now, these cousins were born like- decades years apart, mind you. Morro was born about 40 years before the start of the series, and Lloyd was ~10 when the series began. One of the biggest connections between them is the prophecy of the Green Ninja- that one ninja will rise above the rest to defeat the evil Lord Garmadon and save Ninjago. When the four Golden Weapons were placed before the Green Ninja, they will rise and glow to signal his presence.
So, starting with Morro!
Morro was a homeless orphan, roaming the streets for years. This kid was feral- illiterate, no home training, barely speaking, no name, nothin. Zeph was about 8 and working with 2 older kids when he was found digging through Wu's trash for food. The older kids bolted and left zeph there, and Wu took pity on zephyr. He began leaving food and water out for Morro, and before too long he was able to coax the boy into the monastery. Wu's brother had left mere months before, and the guy was lonely despite the few students already in his care.
At first, Morro was just staying in the monastery- zeph was in horrible shape and Wu felt it would only hurt zeph if they were to train with the others, despite zephyrs growing interest in it. One day, Wu noticed Morro's fascination with kites and birds- really anything that flew- so he bought the boy a kite! He gave Morro the gift, then hurried to pull his kettle from the stove; when he returned, he saw Morro flying the kite by controlling the wind, and with incredible skill at that. Morro was an elemental master, the Master of Wind!
Wu knew the prophecy, knew that an elemental master was most likely to be the Green Ninja- so he told Morro. Wu told Morro of the prophecy, and that Morro could be the one to fill it. Morro, who had lived all his life just trying to survive, being treated like scum, was suddenly told that he could have a higher purpose, could be the one to save the world. That's a lot for an, at this point, barely 9 year old kid. Morro began training, and he trained relentlessly, with Wu being three times as harsh and stern to him in comparison to the other students. By the time zeph was 10, zeph was able to hold his own against Wu himself.
At this point, Wu feels zeph is ready, and sets up the ceremony... only for the weapons not to respond to Morro's presence.
Wu is heartbroken. Morro is even more so. The kid looks up to his sensei, his master, his father, and sees no reassurance. "You are not the green ninja," Wu says, taking away that green gi that symbolized everything Morro wanted to be. Morro became hysterical- that was his! His destiny, his purpose! What was he if not the green ninja?! Wu had promised!
Over the next few months, Morro would become obsessed with proving destiny wrong, with proving himself to be worthy- throwing himself into worsening danger with Wu having to save zephyr. It wasn't long until it all came to a head in an explosive argument, and Morro took off into the sunset in search for the Tomb of the First Spinjitsu Master- surely that would prove destiny wrong. Wu left the monastery doors open for zephyr, desperately hoping his son would return.
Morro died in the Caves of Despair at 14, trapped alone in the firey depths, body left to rot away without a proper burial. Their soul was sent to the Cursed Realm, where the Preeminent whispered lies and stoked the flames of their wrath and bitterness- promised them the great destiny they craved if only zephyr could free Her.
Lloyd was born to Garmadon- not yet fully corrupted by the venom of the Great Devourer, by pure unfiltered Evil- and Misako- a simple archeologist who had played the hearts of both brothers. Things were okay, for just a few months- a husband, a wife, and their perfect baby boy.
Garmadon was barely allowed time to know his beloved son before the venom took hold and he was banished to the Underworld, yet the limitless love for the boy remained a glowing light in his darkened, twisted soul. There was little he could do to reach out to his son- he could only work to escape and trust Misako to make sure their boy was kept safe and raised right.
Misako did not do that. Instead, she abandoned Lloyd at Darkly's Boarding School for Bad Boys at about 4 years old in favor of hunting down clues on how to stop the prophecy from playing out. She knew, deep down, that Lloyd would be the Green Ninja, and she wanted to do whatever possible to save her family- to free Garmadon of the venom, to prevent Lloyd from becoming a ninja, to prevent their inevitable fight to the death. She didn't want Wu to find out about Lloyd, didn't want a repeat of Morro.
Lloyd was raised desperately trying to be as evil as his dad, only to be told he wasn't bad enough. He was too kind-hearted, too vulnerable- evil villains didn't help protect others, didn't cry over their losses, didn't care, according to Darkly's. He was only 9 when he was kicked out to the streets after standing up for a student who had been harmed by a teacher. He was only 9 when he released the Serpentine from their ancient tombs and had his trust and desperation for love taken advantage of by Pythor the Anacondri.
Lloyd was only 9 when Wu took him in, when he was used as a lesson for Kai, Cole, Jay, and Zane. "The best way to defeat your enemy is to make them your friend," Wu had said, standing between the scowling teenagers and his nephew who was falling asleep safe for the first time in 5 years. It would take patience to handle this young boy, to undo the training and traumas given by Darkly's. Patience, love, and gentleness, the same Wu had shown all those years ago with Morro.
Lloyd was only 9 when the Golden Weapons responded to his presence. Lloyd was only 10 when he told the ninja to throw the Tomorrow's Tea, taking the hit alongside the Grundle- and the Lloyd that stood back up on trembling legs was 16. His childhood was gone, and it would only be a year or two before he would have to kill his father, and the green gi against his skin symbolized the weight of the world on his too old yet too young shoulders.
Lloyd was 17 when he watched his father get sacrificed in order to end the Second Serpentine War. Lloyd was only 17 when Morro slipped through the rift between worlds with a plan for vengeance, possessing Lloyd and using his body to complete the journey Morro had died to complete.
A child denied the destiny zeph craved, a child for ed into a destiny he did not want. They are a fucking tragedy.

I don’t know if there’s any canon to back this up but I head canon that wu and garmadon have a very small age gap and the reason that we never hear anything about the wife of the First Spinjitsu Master is because she died in childbirth from giving birth to such powerful sons one after the other with barely any time to heal.

Obsessed with Lloyd never mentioning his grandfather is the First Spinjitsu Master, apparently to the point even Arin didn't seem to know, because "eh, it never came up". Cause like, yeah, sure, my grandfather is God, what of it? Normal day for me. Shit happens. My dad is also evil, you wanna talk about that? I sure don't.
It's also funny from a character arc perspective. Here's itty bitty baby first season Lloyd, loudly proclaiming he's the son of Garmadon, and probably also making sure everyone knows he's God part 3 electric boogaloo. And then one Tomorrow's Tea and a few more years later and he's doing everything physically possible to NOT care about his heritage. In fact he'd probably rather his parentage was literally anyone else. Dude could care so less he forgets about it most of the time. King behavior.

Finally made bios for My Ninjago x LMK AU, which I’ll be calling ‘Ninjago Reborn’
Both in relation to the plot and because most of Wukong and Nezha’s movie titles have ‘Reborn’ in them.
Summary of the AU:
The Au starts in Ninjago, during the Merge, years after the Imperium rule. The Merges got worse that every single Elemental Master was called to close the portals that were seeping into the world, however, mid-way through the convergence an attack from the Heavens struck down into the battlefield, killing every single Elemental Master in sight, Lloyd in an effort to save Sora and Arin opens a portal and sends them to the future where he knows they’ll be safe. After Sora and Arin settle into the city of Megapolis, they find out that Lloyd had reincarnated into the Monkey King’s son, Qi Xiaotian. With the Addition of somehow being able to hold every single Elemental Power in existence…without being able to control any of them. Now, with the Monkey King’s staff given to him, MK the Monkie Kid upholds the legacy of the Elemental Masters and the Legacy of the Monkey King.
Extra Character Info:
Qi Xiaotian/MK
-His original name was ‘Sun Luzhen’ (Monkey who Walks Reality) But Wukong thought to give MK his own destiny without being bound to just being ‘Monkey’ so he called him ‘Qi Xiaotian’ (Together Little Heaven/Sky)
-MK holds all the Powers of the Elemental Masters for some unknown reason, however this does not include, Tech, (Whatever the hell Arin’s is), Ice, Heat and Time.
-MK’s strongest powers amongst all of them is Fire and Earth. Water, Wind and Lightning are the ones he can barely tap into.
-MK wears a human disguise, he is aware of his Stone Monkey past, however, it is much rare to see a monkey demon just running about Megapolis, and MK wants to be treated normally.
-Government wise, MK’s legal guardians are Arin and Sora. Who MK sees as older siblings. Sometimes he’ll use ‘Garmadon’ as his last name, most of the time, no.
-MK still has his father’s powers.
Arin
-Still keeps Riyu, Riyu just flies off somewhere sometimes (Actual context is that creator can’t freaking draw dragons)
-His power has improved since Dragon’s Rising.
-Arin makes some of his pies with the fruits from Flower Fruit Mountain, which is why the owner of the bakery doesn’t want him to leave. (Not like he will)
-Arin becomes the first Dragon Rider in a long time to ride a dragon without chains.
-Replaces the Grappling Hook for a spear.
-Arin and Sora are different when it comes to battle so expect them to go feral.
-Arin and Sora have their own apartment, but they do help Wukong raise MK.
-Arin is MK’s Senior
Sora
-Is a famous racer next to Mei and it’s how MK meets Mei in this universe.
-She uses her streams to gain money for her own Research Lab in Megapolis, that requires her to try and find ways to make the technology she makes without the need of her powers.
-Her powers now replicate Creation, just as long as one of those screens around her is on the ground.
-She uses that to create the ‘Triple SA Mark Defense Mech’ or the ‘TMD Mech’ which is basically a power rangers type mech only used for emergencies.
-She helps around with Wukong so Arin gets more screen time than her.
-Sora is MK’s senior.
Sun Wukong
-A little different from Canon Wukong, wears the makeup to hide the circlet scar that hasn’t healed because of it molding around his head for a long period of time.
-His fur is slightly cleaned from burn marks, which were caused by the Trigram furnace, and he has removed the glamour from his eyes. Well only around MK.
-Built a tombstone dedicated to Lloyd and a separate area for the rest of the Ninja.
-Is the Legal Guardian of Arin,Sora and MK, as well as the legal owner of Riyu.
-Wukong is actually a better teacher here (Not that he was bad before, it’s just that his method tended to mirror Subodhi a little)
-Knows Spinjitsu and Ninjargon for some reason.

CABINET MAN AU Timeline Information
So I’ve talked about it a little bit but I want to go into more detail about the different timeline of the AU!
Tumblr media
this is what i was thinking when i first started the AU and so far I’m sticking to it except for one change! Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitsu is going to hapen AFTER Skybound now, simply because Skybound and Seabound are so close to each other and it seems cruel to put Jay through those seasons nearly back-to-back. Not gonna go into Crystalized yet cuz i still haven’t watched the rest of the season but I’m gonna lay out some key details for the rest of the seasons
In terms of the AU itself, the ones that are the most important are
- Prime Empire (of course) - Hands of Time - Skybound - The Island/Seabound
“But Leo, Hands of Time is not a Jay-centric season and the CMAU is a Jay-centric AU so why would that one be important?”
Hands of Time is the AU that happens after Prime Empire, so it’s kind of the catalyst for the timeline of the AU to get fucked up. In the AU, Hands of Time takes place around a year after Prime Empire! Within that year, Jay was readjusting to life outside of Prime Empire and beginning his ninja training. In that time, he became very close with Master Wu, Morro, and the rest of the ninja. Because of this, even though that season isn’t centered around Jay, that’s when Jay will be doing his first “official” ninja stuff
PILOT EPISODES - DAY OF THE DEPARTED
I’m not thinking too hard about the changes from the pilot eps through Day of the Departed. Because of the way the AU works there are obvious inherent plot holes - Jay is a key member of the team, not only as one of the Elements of Creation and protectors of the Green Ninja but also his inventing skills and such. So don’t. Think about it too hard lmao Nya picks up the slack in those seasons!
The most major change that involves that AU directly is that Morro ends up returning from the dead alongside Cole in Day of the Departed! Neither of them expected that to happen and everyone’s kind of shocked and confused, but Wu welcomes Morro back with open arms. It’s obviously... tense. At first. It takes a lot of getting used to but everyone makes their way around to Morro being a part of the family eventually.
Not gonna go in the specifics of timing for the AU but by the end of it, the ninja + morro are in their early 20s
PRIME EMPIRE
The obvious start to the AU! This takes place over the span of a few weeks, and the aftermath is where Jay reconnects with Ed and Edna, meets Morro (who was away doing some much needed self-discovery this whole season), and starts getting taught by Master Wu. During this time he also gets to know his team! He fills a void that the team hadn’t even realized was forming, and while Jay is beyond relieved that he finally has people around him, he’s worried about how to act to make sure they don’t abandon them like Unagami did.
Unagami goes home with Milton Dyer and the two reconnect like in canon! Jay visits every so often, but there’s an unspoken rift between then that they both have a lot of growing to do before it can be undone
HANDS OF TIME
This season is accurate to what happens in the show BUT Jay is like. A lot closer to Wu than in canon and Morro is also here!! So there’s a lot of stuff involving them - Jay’s episode with his parents still happens but like. Plop Morro down next to him those two are kind of joined at the hip at this point (although when not with Jay, Morro’s usually watching over Wu) also! Jay is trying EXTRA hard to prove that he’s a good ninja and deserves to be on the team (which was never in question to anyone but himself)
SONS OF GARMADON - MARCH OF THE ONI
SOG and Hunted are pretty much the same as canon, not much changes there except for Morro exists. However, since it’s my AU and I get to make the rules, March of the Oni happens. Very differently. Because honestly I find canon MotO to be the worst season of the show but it UNFORTUNATELY sets up key elements for Garmadon so like. I can’t just ignore it (if you like MotO i promise this isn’t like a slight against you i just think it’s poorly written ahhhh) but tbh it’s been a minute since i actually WATCHED the season so I’m not going into it here
SKYBOUND
EEHEHEHHEHE THIS IS MY I GET TO HAVE FUN SEASON :D
so i really don’t like a good chunk of Skybound and it’s writing so grabs Skybound and chucks most of it in the trash my turn with it
FIRST THINGS FIRST NADAKHAN IS NOT GOING TO BE CREEPY WITH NYA BC I HATE THAT
i haven’t decided if i’m gonna keep the forced marriage plot or not because I can’t think of a good replacement yet but at the VERY LEAST if it stays I’m pulling a Musical Beetlejuice where he’s doing it just for the powers and is like “YEAH IT’S A GREENCARD THING” because that’s the only way i can touch this season without being disgusted but anyways
This season keeps its “the public love the ninja as if they were celebrities” thing especially since Jay practically IS one. He’s stepped away from a ton of his idol pop star stuff since becoming a ninja but he still has lots of fans
His wishes are pretty much the same but they’re driven by his fear of abandonment rather than the canon “i’m not good enough for nya” stuff
Jay’s captured on Misfortune’s Keep for around three weeks (two weeks felt too short and anything longer than a month felt way too long). He gets. Kinda really fucked up lmao not only does Nadakhan get real frustrated he can’t get his wish out of Jay he’s like. EXTRA pissed about him trying to get the venom to stop him after he was able to avoid wishing himself into the blade in the first place and all that. so yknow. my excuse to make whump and angsty content heheehhehehe
ALSO THE BIGGEST CHANGE OF ALL: THE SEASON DOESN’T GET UNDONE BC I HATE THAT TOO
how does nadakhan get back in the teapot then? great question i’m unpacking that later BUT that means that the rest of the gang doesn’t completely FORGET all of Jay and Nya’s trauma. And they have. So much trauma.
also i’m redesigning nadakhan cuz i don’t like that he’s Orange okay i’m done rambling about skybound now
SECRETS OF THE FORBIDDEN SPINJITSU - MASTER OF THE MOUNTAIN
These seasons don’t have many changes either! Other than the placement of them of course. Also this is when the second image of Jay’s design comes into play!
THE ISLAND/SEABOUND
Oof the Pain Season
The Island is fun because it’s a bunch of people pampering Jay and he’s like OHOHOHO OF COURSE JUST LIKE THE LEAGUE OF JAYS I MISSED HAVING THIS LEVEL OF FANDOM and then his friends are separated from him and he’s having Less of a Great Time due to his abandonment issues but he’s fiiiiiine
Seabound is obviously,,,,, upsetting. I’ve posted a little about it before but I’ll go into more detail here. Nya and Jay are incredibly close, even if not implicitly romantic in the AU (although as i write this i miss the jaya dynamics so that might change tbh lmao but for now its platonic) so the entire season Jay is incredibly worried for Nya - AND Morro, who shows up at the monastery with his powers also going kinda fucky. Everything pretty much happens the same way, the battery scene kind of fucks Jay up for a while but it’s also a bit cathartic - he’s CHOOSING to use his powers as a battery to save his friends, even though it’s risky.
When Nya becomes the sea? Oh boy.
Jay gets so distraught - he’s tired of losing people, he’s tired of people leaving him, so he isolates himself by choice this time. If he keeps losing everyone around him, he’s going to get himself lost first. That’s how he ends up alone in the lighthouse. The only one who he sees in that entire period of time is Morro and Pixal, who check up on him from time to time. Everyone else is too wrapped up in their own grief.

Headcanon's time
As an infant, Wu was more likely to smash or break things while Garmadon sat quietly and watched.
It was strange for the First Spinjitsu Master to realize the fact that his youngest son with the Creation element broke the fifth set, while the older one with the element of Destruction calmly draws.
