Like, why aren't more people talking about this teaser?

His face crumpled. "He hates me," he said. "All I do is love him, but he hates me, he just hates me, I don't know why."

LIKE? This is so clearly TLKOF Ty talking to Dru (not Livvy, because she disappears in TLKOF, convince me otherwise) about Kit! Presumably this is towards the end of TLKOF where both Dru's and Ty's romantic lives and the world in general are in chaos. And this is just a sweet, heart-breaking sibling moment between them where they talk about how everything is messed up and how the people they'd loved had broken their hearts. Since they were away from each other, it would be news to Dru that Ty was in love with Kit, and it would be news to Ty that Dru had given her heart to someone Ty had barely heard of.

Like, just imagine THAT conversation. I'm interested in their dynamic so much because Dru and Ty are going to make a different sibling pair than what we're used to. They weren't close enough to fully understand each other when they were younger. Ty always seemed like the cool older brother to Dru, what with him being so smart and knowing so much about so many things. Dru, on the other hand, was the gothic younger sister, with an inexplicable love for vintage horror and a criminal edge that impressed Kit Herondale, who basically had crime etched in his DNA. But they always protected each other. Like, it was given.

And when I think about all that and try to imagine their special moments, I just can't anymore. *cries inconsolably*

I don't know how far you've gotten writing TWP, but have you ever written a Kit scene with Mina, Tessa, and Jem? Could we have a Teaser?

There are super cute scenes in Secrets of Blackthorn Hall and Ghosts of the Shadow Market with Mina, Tessa, Kit and Jem. And we start off the Kit and Ty storyline at Cirenworth in TWP, so we will see Kit with his family, and Mina is always cute. :) No teasers yet tho!

I'm shaking. In my search for a reborn doll to soothe the pain of probably never having a child of my own, I managed to find a feisty little girl who charmed me with her fussy expression. My mom says she kind of resembles Queen Elizabeth as a baby which made me laugh. I feel like she'll be a good fit in my rather matriarchal family - I think I never mentioned this so far, but the primary reason why my family has feminist roots is because we're a mostly female clan. My two male cousins are the first men to be born in my maternal bloodline in generations. (which is why I've been comparing my family to a pack of Hyenas since my teenage years). I am just going to let her photograph sink in and process my feelings about it this coming weekend. I'm ordering my babygirl next week. I promise I'll try to post another TWP chapter and the second teaser this weekend, but I might just be too busy with creating a list of babynames I can pick from and scouting for cute baby stuff with my mom because despite the baby being fake (unfortunately), my mom is still struck by grandma fever and wants to spoil her granddaughter.

TWP and BBoTD Teasers

So, I went through the 13 teasers that we have of TWP and BBoTD for the 13 millionth time and I have some questions regarding some of the snippets and I know that I won't get answers just yet, so I'm looking for imagination.

Teaser 2: He kissed each finger, and with each one of them spoken a word. Five kisses, five words. His last.

Now, I'm clueless. Clearly this is someone important who dies and it's a he. Ideas, anyone? I wish my brain was hardwired for more optimism.

I know, I know, kinda obvious that this is Ty talking about Kit, but I'm just curious. We see in Ghosts of Shadow Market that Ty avoids talking about Kit, even to Livvy, who he literally performed necromancy for! Does he think about Kit a lot or does he involuntarily do it anyway even if he doesn't want to? Clearly something more than what had happened in QoAaD is up which finally got Ty to talk about it. Comment your thoughts!

Teaser 1: Marry me today.

I feel like the most questions about all the teasers are about this one. There is literally nothing to go on, unlike the other 2 where we at least have something. It's like, we're so clueless our imagination stops working at the sheer amount of possibilities, and when we try to write them down they seem like nonsense. Don't worry though, I'm up for nonsense.

i know this sounds super rude and generalising but i really do get bad vibes from like 99% of kitty (like the shipping type) stans

you either worship them or be essentially shunned because having personal opinions is not okay now. In my experience with them, they’re also super egocentric in a sense? every announcement cc puts out has to be about kit & ty or they riot. I see analysis of teasers that has nothing related to them like TLH has to be related to TWP. And people act like they’re two characters joined to the hip because i feel fanon!kit has no personality except loving ty and vice versa

Idk what to really say about the first part without just repeating it. You're right. It's like in their eyes, why even put it in if it's not related to the characters I like?

They also have a weird possessiveness with Kit and Ty? I mean, I've only really seen it with Kit, but I'm sure that if it happens to Kit, it happens to Ty.

Fanon!Kit is literally the dumbest character in the world. He's just incredibly dim and a complete distortion of canon Kit. And the big reason, I'd say, is because Ty's very smart.

WhiCH leADS to TY- people just write and depict him as a really cold and controlling asshole.

Kitty as a whole, in the fandom, is very disturbing because the balance in the relationship is all off and it's very toxic. Like, Kit is, in no way, shape or form, allowed to disagree with Ty. Because Ty's so smart and a genius and Kit isn't allowed a personality other then pining after The Great Ty Blackthorn for three years when, as far as he's concerned, he'll never see Ty again 🥺

I'm not saying it doesn't happen with Ty but I've only seen it happen with Kit, mostly in fics but also in many posts.

Also, stop making Ty kiss Kit without consent 🙂

chain of thorns comes out so soon, and we're going to see everyone again but after this, that's it. we might never see them again outside of Jem and Tessa making some vague references to them in twp. I can't do this. like if I think about it too much it make me sick. we only had them for one trilogy, meanwhile clary and jace are going to be showing up in their, what? fourth? trilogy. which is fine, is totally fine (lying). but what about all the tlh characters?? they're all getting paid dust now while their series is coming out. like we're never ever going to see them again (outside maybe a handful of short stories or something). not only that, this is also the last time we're going to see any of the tid characters!! that's two sets of characters we have to say goodbye too!! I cannot do this, right now or ever.

not only that but cc is like?? absent right now?? like she has the final book of a trilogy coming out in less than 10 days and it doesn't feel like it? before chog and coi there was more teasers and what not but now? nothing. like the fandom feels kinda dead rn, and it's frustrating. tlh you deserved so much better </3
