Canon Destiel Timeline Masterpost

I wrote this all in a fugue state while listening to Green Grow the Lilacs on repeat so forgive any mistakes. @gay-fae ask and ye shall receive

So much has happened in the long and storied history of his fandom so I've decided to try to document it. I've started by looking up every time that canon destiel, destiel event, misha collins, jackles, or some other search terms have spiked on Google and cross referenced them with tumblr or twitter posts from that day. I know a lot of this is Misha stuff, but he does tend to be the one to say things

November 5th, 2020: Season 15, Episode 18 "Despair" airs and Castiel declares his love to Dean. The presidential election, Georgia turning blue, the presumed retirement of Vladamir Putin, Dabi from My Hero Academia, Ouran Host Club season 2, Sherlock season 5, the president of Bolivia being attacked with dynamite, ongoing BLM protests, a twitter artist making racist art of Ted Bundy, Hetalia returning, a dead man being elected Representative for North Dakota, V for Vendetta, scientists discovering a "hell" planet that rains rocks and has lava oceans, and half of Europe being in lockdown all became tumblr news around the same time. Some of these are true, some not.

November 8th, 2020: Misha Collins, in a panel with Richard Speight, states that the confession scene was a "declaration of homosexual love", and that when Castiel goes to the Empty, it is an example of the "Kill your gays" trope.

November 19th, 2020: The finale airs and it is not well loved to say the least. The episode is short, Dean dies by falling on a nail to death fighting vampire clowns, and there are several characters left with dangling unresolved plot threads and arcs, including Castiel. The car is in heaven though. There is very little heard from the cast and crew, if anything.

November 22nd, 2020: Misha Collins, in a livestream, tells a fan that Castiel and Jack are remaking heaven together, Cas has his wings back, and they are rainbow-colored. He had, however, mentioned the rainbow wings before.

November 24th, 2020: The Spanish dub of the confession is released and a "rogue" translator has written "Y yo a ti" or "I love you too" as Dean's response. Destiel goes canon in Spanish. Tumblr stops working as a result.

November 25th, 2020: tumblr user @thebloggerbloggerfun claims Jensen Ackles said "I had a member of the film crew record the confession scene on my phone for me" #unsourced #releasethetapes

November 26th, 2020: Misha doesn't appreciate the rogue translator, but walks that opinion back later the same day

November 27th, 2020: A "leaked" Italian dub of the confession scene shows a mutual confession.

November 28th, 2020: President Obama follows a destiel account on Twitter

November 30th, 2020: The supposed "Italian dub" is revealed as a fake created by user @iotiamo using sound clips from other parts of the Italian dub on show.

December 1st, 2020: Twitter user @mothdean says "misha I know you have a stan acc and spy on us so can we have a hazel update please"

December 3rd, 2020: Misha tweets about Hazel snoring and this is taken as possible confirmation of Misha's secret stan account

December 11th, 2020: A script from Cas's perspective leaks. It says "We see Cass's POV of Dean again - his face drawn, drained of hope. But still beautiful. Still Dean Winchester."

December 16th, 2020: Newsweek runs an article about an article that Misha wrote about the Lewinsky affair while interning in the Clinton White House in which Misha comes off as rather thirsty for Bill

December 20th, 2020: All Supernatural related materials disappear off the CW's website due to a copyright dispute with Warner Brothers

December 31st, 2020: Mishapocalypse redux

February 9th, 2021: Spn cast members Chad Lindberg and Samantha Ferris tweet about a party at the Roadhouse and it grows to become a full Destiel wedding

February 16th, 2021: @steveyockey made a fairly benign post about Jensen Ackles. The notes went wild in a variety of ways and started a rumor that Spn writer Steve Yockey was dead

February 20th, 2021: Steve Yockey is not dead and he should say it

March 3rd, 2021: The German dub drops and it is also romantic in tone

March 6-8th, 2021: A virtual con happens where Jensen discusses Chaos Machine and Jared says he wants to be in their next project. They also show that WAP video. Jensen is giving full mountain man preparing to play Soldier Boy.

March 10th, 2021: The French dub is released. Cas says, "I love you, Dean" and Dean now responds, "Don't do this to me, Castiel"

March 13th, 2021: The company Amazon tweets about Castiel and Misha Collins asks if they ship Deancas or Wincest. Subsequently apologizes.

March 16th, 2021: Misha says he can't speak as Castiel because Warner Brothers" specifically forbade it. #cwsniperconfirmed

March 17th, 2021: Sam and Eileen are getting married! I have no idea how this came about but I'm happy for them

March 23rd, 2021: Chad Lindberg and Samantha Ferris claim on Twitter that the Roadhouse party was about Valentine's day and not a wedding. Ferris specifically said that she worked on the show and that people tried to make Dean/Cas into "something that it wasn't", She also stated she doesn't "know what queerbaiting is" and that it was due to an "agenda". This led to #deanisbi trending on Twitter and Tumblr.

March 31st, 2021: Some possibly fake leaked scripts come up for sale on eBay. Also, Jensen is Batman.

April 1st, 2021: Mishapocalypse redux

April 6th, 2021: Leaked scripts from the 2 final episodes pop up and have several mentions of Cas in them that were omitted. Dean even thinks about Cas's confession when confronting Chuck.

April 18th, 2021: Scripts from seasons 12 and 13 leak. These include scenes from after Cas's death

May 17th, 2021: Jensen's band Radio Company releases an album including the song Watching Over Me

June ~5th, 2021: Misha says at a convention that Watching Over Me is about Castiel. Jensen neither confirms nor denies this when asked about it

June 11th, 2021: It is announced that Misha is publishing a book of poetry

June 18th, 2021: The Russian dub airs and Dean's line is changed to "Don't you dare, Cas"

June 24-28th, 2021: Jensen and Daneel Ackles reveal that they are making a Supernatural prequel series following John and Mary Winchester (a story that NOBODY was asking for). Jensen will reprise his role as Dean and will narrate. Misha hints that he would like to be involved, as do Ruthie Connell, Samantha Ferris, Matt Cohen, and Julie McNiven (the perils of having a cast of mostly immortal characters). But Jared Padalecki first says that he is happy for the Ackles's, he later said he was "gutted", then responded to Robbie Thompson's tweet calling him a "coward" and saying "what an awful thing you've done". The next day, Jensen and Jared both do damage control and say they'll always be brothers

July 17th, 2021: People are asking if Destiel will be canon in Space Jam, Misha's poetry book's cover is revealed to lukewarm reviews and people are talking about a particular poem about piss, and Perfume Genius releases an article that is a self-insert vore fanfiction about having sex with Jensen Ackles

August 2nd, 2021: Perfume Genius is at it again with "Last Friday, I had my eyes removed by Jared Padalecki". No, I do not know why she is doing this.

August 9th, 2021: Destiel fics hit 100k on Ao3. Misha tweets his support and people remember that he sometimes reads fanfiction and theorize he has an A03 account

September 1st, 2021: Misha makes his first Tiktok. There is a short intro before he calls cut, walks behind a screen, and strips his clothes off

September 3rd, 2021: Jake Abel uses Michael and Adam to help sell his hot sauce brand

September 4th, 2021: Misha confirms that the love between Castiel and Dean was "reciprocated"

September 9th, 2021: A clip of the real Italian dub of the confession scene goes viral as it is revealed that, unlike the Spanish dub, they change the line to "ti voglio bene" or essentially "I love you like family". Misha responds with a video saying "Ciao Italia, ti amo" with the subtitle "Love is love in any language"

September 21st, 2021: Misha drops the fact that one of his poems is from Castiel's perspective.

September 30th, 2021: Jensen will be appearing at a con on the same day as Misha and not with Jared for "professional reasons"

October 4th, 2021: Misha responds to a fan's tweet by saying that Jensen has "crazy eyes and a knife in his pocket"

October 10th, 2021: Daneel posts a picture of Jensen intently reading Misha's poetry book in front of a roaring fire on Instagram. Misha responds that he misses them even more

October 12th, 2021: Jensen is cast in Rust, a (rather ill-fated) western and Misha says "Yippie-ki-yay" and calls him a stud in the comments

October 16th, 2021: Denvercon. Jensen and Jared reunite for the first time since THE INCIDENT

April 24th, 2022: Misha Collins says in terms of being an extrovert, an introvert, or a bisexual, he joked "I'm all three". This led to the internet celebrating Misha's newly revealed bisexuality.

April 25th, 2022: Misha Collins comes out as straight. Oops!

June 19th, 2022: According to Misha, Dean's heaven was supposed to be at the Roadhouse with all his friends and Cas was going to be there with him

November 7th, 2022: Misha calls Elon Musk a snowflake

November 12th, 2022: Tumblr starts planning another Mishapocalypse

January 24th, 2023: Jensen and the cast of the Winchesters throw Dean Winchester a birthday party, including wearing silly little hats

February 26th, 2023: At JIBcon 11, Jensen sings an improvised song about an angel while Misha sits cross-legged on the floor looking up at him

April 1st, 2023: 10 year anniversary of the Mishapocalypse

April 16th, 2023: A year after his bisexual whoopsie daisy, Misha says that Warner Brothers asked him to "let it go" and keep pretending to be bisexual.

August 23, 2023: Rogue Spanish translator is revealed to not have gone rogue at all but instead to have followed the script he was given, confirming the existence of a mutual love confession that was cut at some point.

What sparked it was a short clip from a vLive going absolutely viral where Lee Know ends up pinning Evie to the wall suggestively and telling her to behave.

Well shortly after the release of Stray Kids’ Japanese song “FAM” was released it sparked a lot of talk around Evie and Hyunjin maybe being together. Both idols and JYP all came out with statements saying how they are not together. Evie said she’s just a very affectionate person and she just adores Skz so much. Hyunjin said that he adores Evie but they are not in a relationship and asked to respect their privacy when it comes to this sorta stuff.

↝☾Time Frame☽↝ April 8th, 2021 ↝☾Public Opinion☽↝ Mixed, mostly confused as to where it came from. ↝☾Popularity☽↝ 90% ↝☾Overview☽↝ The two’s dating rumor started during the beginning of Evie’s hiatus in 2021 after an article came out claiming the two were allegedly dating. Evie had made a post with a series of selfies the two had taken over the couple years they knew each other and was thanking the older boy for being friends with her for so long. She went on to talk about how much she values and cherishes her friendship with him and a lot of people took it as a relationship post instead of a friendship post, it is still up on her Instagram as she didn’t see the point in taking it down since she hadn’t done anything wrong. Both JYP and SM made statements the next day stating that the idols were not in a relationship.

Their company quickly shut down the rumor and it actually put a bit of a dent in the two’s friendship for a while. Neither of them wanting to be bring hate to their company or groups so for a while they didn’t hang out or talk much but in mid 2023 the two got spotted getting coffee together again so it seems like the friendship is back in full swing

↝☾Time Frame☽↝ February 2nd, 2023 ↝☾Public Opinion☽↝ Shocked, also mixed ↝☾Popularity☽↝ 85% ↝☾Overview☽↝ Their dating rumor started after someone posted photos of the two where they appeared to be on a date. These images were included in an article that alleged the two have been dating for a while. Evie and New confirmed that they were in a relationship with their companies, however they just started dating when this article went out so it wasn’t entirely truthful. The two mutually decided that they should break up after about six months of being together. Evie said she felt like she couldn’t give him the time and affection he needed as she was always busy toward the end of their relationship but she said they are still friends.

Wardrobe Malfunction

↝☾Time Frame☽↝ March 30th, 2023 ↝☾Public Opinion☽↝ Shocked and Slightly Disappointed ↝☾Popularity☽↝ 100% ↝☾Overview☽↝ During Stray Kids’ performance of ‘Maniac’ on Jimmy Kimmel’s live show Evie had a massive wardrobe malfunction with her shirt where the front of the shirt somehow got untied while she was dancing. She was very professional about it and held onto her chest with one hand as she danced. However, Hyunjin, once he noticed, quickly put his jacket on her to cover her and she quickly buttoned it between dance moves so she could go back to focusing on giving the best performance she possibly could. Although the public was a bit disappointed as this was Evie’s first ever wardrobe malfunction, which happened at something that Evie was looking forward to, they also were pleasantly surprised by how professional and fast acting they were to fix something like that. Evie said she had asked the stylist for a jacket specifically because she didn’t trust the top but they refused and so Evie felt like the stylist was sabotaging her and sabotaging the performance to stir drama. Since then Evie has refused to wear any outfits from that specific stylist and has said that she truly doesn’t care for that stylist's opinion anymore and doesn’t care if she gets fired. Skz also refuse to be styled by that particular stylist and it's rumored that she did in fact get fired after this instance as it wasn't the first time she has willingly dressed Evie semi scandalously. After this Evie was given a lot more control of her outfits.

Dating Scandal with Jisun (fromis_9)

↝☾Time Frame☽↝ December 23rd, 2023 ↝☾Public Opinion☽↝ Mixed, mostly negative ↝☾Popularity☽↝ 75% ↝☾Overview☽↝ The most recent dating scandal Evie has experienced. It was quickly put to rest with a very heartbroken Evie asking to be left alone. She went live on YouTube and begged for everyone to stop making all her encounters with someone a romantic thing. She just wants to make friends and people are scared to be her friend because of the fact so many times people accuse her of being in a relationship. In this live she also said she’d be open if she was in a relationship as she doesn’t like hiding it. She said that she is just tired and to leave her and her friends alone. JYP and Hybe both also released statements saying the pair were just hanging out for the first time as they wanted to become better friends. JYP also asked people to not believe every rumor they see and to let Evie breathe.

✹ … ⥁ A MONTH IN LOOP NEWS: SEPTEMBER

Opening up the month with a much anticipated announcement in a not so ideal setting, New Wave Music saw itself corned to confirm LOOPiN's upcoming album after leaking of the comeback logo, tracklist and promotion schedule took place on September 11th.

'Internet War', the group's 4th full album according to the leaked content, is a half hyperpop inspired, half mellow PC pop devoted project set to introduce a new batch of units to the group - two trios and two duos, as seen on their pre-debut era. Aside from dual title tracks 'Jump' and 'Tell Me What To Do', the album will have 12 b-side tracks.

New Wave Music took to social media on the 12th to confirm the content as belonging to LOOPiN, and attaching an official date to the release: October 10th. Curiously enough, no commentary on legal consequences against the prossecutors of the information early released have been found on the statement, fueling rumors that the leak might have come from staff or even the members themselves in some unespected, unconventional form of marketing or preassure to actually release music - something LOOPiN hadn't done since April.

While the upcoming fictional survival show 'Show Me The One' is taking its time to unravel the official lineup on social media, a varieted amount of entertainment companies have already announced their compeating trainees - divited on the show on teams of multiples of 3s. New Wave Music made no different: on September 16th, the company shared a news outlet confirming trainees Dahyung (25), Chaeun (23) and Furumi (22) of Team RIIDEWAVEE as not only their 'Show Me The One' representatives, but also a third of the lineup of their future girl group, set to debut on the first semester of 2024.

While there's clear rumors of who two out of the three trainees might be - Dahyung is highly especulated to be former MIDNESTRA member Kim Dahyung, while Furumi can't be anyone else but Fukunaga Furumi, Nogizaka46 graduate and the younger sister of LOOPiN's Haruki -, Chaeun is still an unknown name.

We wish the girls good luck on the show and a successful debut!

On September 22th, Choi Sangwon, 41, was found and reported dead in a motel room in rural area Damyang by three witnesses - later confirmed as Idols by a minor south korean tabloid with no real evidence to back it, but a name prestigious enough for it to be taken as truth right away. Any further information on the identity of the alleged celebrities has yet to surface.

Sangwon, who had been a well known manager for multitple K-Pop acts such as 3rd gen leader boy group INPEAK (from 2011 to 2014), one hit wonder girl group Sweet-X (2015), LOOPiN (2016 to 2022) and more recently, rising girl group FairLand (2022). Taking the role of marketing adviser and trainee evaluator in the majority of the companies he worked for, he had a reputation as a creator of opportunities and great judge of star power.

Police confirmed the cause of death as suicide a day later.

Sangwon's passing seemed to put the final nail in the coffin for the future of Greater Sound Entertainment's FairLand.

Coming from a small company and making their debut in August 2021, FairLand finally gained momentun in February 2023 with the release of their third single, 'Rose Blossom', which gained popularity amoung korean netizens and charted for two entire months near the top 10 and 20 of various music platforms. However, the sixteth was placed on complete hiatus shortly after the end of 'Rose Blossom' promotions, with leader Sangah and maknae Ichiko being completly gone for the group's Youtube and Weverse content streamed from August onwards.

Greater Sound's official note on the disbandment, released on September 25th and personally signed off by CEO Lim Gahyun, reads as follows: "Hello, this is Greater Sound Entertainment's Lim Gahyun. LOOPiN member Haruki, who had been set to appear at Milan Fashion Week on the 26th as a guest of Vianfino, taking active duty as one of the ficitonal brand's declared muses and first global ambassador, took fans and media by surprise by not appearing in Italy.

Hours after the Vianfino runway started with Haruki's front row seat left empty, New Wave Music released a statment on the commotion, declaring that from now on, "all upcoming activities which will not involve or enrich 'Internet War' promotions directly, that taking in consideration not only Haruki's current public schedule, but of all the members of the group, have been indeterminantly cancelled' - which as far as we know of includes a Hanjae photoshoot for Esquire Korea alongside the cast of his newest drama series, J.J and Haegon's appearence on a late October episode of Return Of Superman, and a special fansign event for Gyujin's birthday on October 17th.

The Department of Justice announced the arrest of two serving U.S. Navy sailors on suspicion of espionage for China. Both sailors are based in California. Both appear to be of Chinese descent or origin. This is the customary intelligence recruitment model employed by Beijing. The first sailor taken into custody, 22-year-old Jinchao (Patrick) Wei, was arrested on Wednesday. Machinist Mate 3rd Class Wei joined the Navy in July 2021. He is assigned to the USS Essex, an amphibious assault ship homeported in San Diego. According to the Justice Department's statement , Wei held a security clearance (presumably at the "secret" level given his job), and in February 2022, he began communicating with a Chinese intelligence officer using clandestine methods. That Chinese spy tasked Wei with handing over a significant amount of sensitive Navy and Department of Defense information in exchange for several thousand dollars. The information Wei passed to Beijing included photos and videos including technical information about the Essex and other Navy ships, almost 60 technical manuals on the operation of Navy vessels, detailed systems manuals about Navy ships, and nonpublic information about Marine Corps exercises.

Retrospective 2022 (3)

Honestly, I've been looking forward to doing this all year! I'm a sucker for numbers and graphs. I had done a similar one in June, so here's the update!

For anyone interested, I recap what I did for each project during the year (or did not) and discuss the stats for each under the cut. Unless indicated, all stats are compared to June.

Forewarning, those stats are not a good representation of IF/Tumblr popularity. The numbers should not be taken as a baseline for comparison. There are many different factors that resulted in those, most of them being out of everyone's control. I am only comparing myself to Past-Me. Also because numbers can be fun.

2021 Projects

Status: Complete for realsies

On top of the UI update in late January (which was re-coded again after), Meeting the Parents was re-edited, re-translated and fixed, got some QOL updates (accessibility) and CSS addition in December. It took me about 2 months to get through this second update but I wanted to polish the game one last time. A few thousands words were added for both the English and the French versions.

I know I said I had shelved it last February, but this time is the truth, really (until someone tells me there's a bug/typo).

CRWL did not get one, two, or three updates this year. It got four. Two story and one UI updates at the start of the year, and a huge one late June (story re-writes + additional content). The total word count passed 100k with that last update (excluding Codex). QoL settings have been added (though this is not yet completed), which includes a Quest Tracker, Codex Pages, and MC Editor.

An extra update was planned for the last quarter of the year, but it did not happen. I've been struggling to write anything substantial for that next scene ever since the end of the IFComp. I really want to continue writing it, but honestly, I've been staring more at then page than writing. Hopefully, this year will be easier...

Through and through, CRWL is my most popular game. I only passed 10k plays last March, and now it's already doubled! I'm just... flabbergasted.... It's honestly insane how many people kept playing even after the lack of new content since this summer... Honestly, completely speechless here. Boost of traction in February and March for the releases of Scene 2 and 3, mega boost in June/July for the release of Scene 4.

On the IFDB side, CRWL has now 3 ratings (+2).

Status: Ongoing/Hiatus-ish

I had mentioned this in that mid-year check in June how unhappy I had been with the state of EC and how I had been working on drafts for a story re-writes. The following month, I released an update which included a Prologue and 9/30 planned rounds, a new Endless Mode, QoL settings, and some semblance of Achievements. The UI was also updated then (which had become a template too!).

After this, I continued to write more rounds (or draft more than a line). This worked for about 2/3rd of them. But, having planned an ending or two for each round kind of became what blocked the progress. I wanted to have distinct endings, but, unlike the rounds, I didn't really know what would be in them. So progress for the re-write write stopped and the project was halted like CRWL was.

Still not surprised to the little attention EC gets overall. As much as I find the gameplay interesting, it requires a bit more from players than just clicking on a link. It's a bit polarising (and that lowered the rating average). But most players still seem to like it, and that's why it slowly keeps getting views and plays. The game got a bit of traction after I announced the update or posted about my progress (especially in the UI). At the end of September, someone just downloaded the old version 70 times on itch. That was wild.

On IFDB, EC received 2 ratings for an average of 3 1/2 stars, as well as a long review (rating pending completion).

2022 Projects

Status: Completed/Hiatus

Released at the end of January for the Interact-IF comp, where I ranked 6th, I have not touched the game file since it was released. I have a whole plan for expansion, but still did not have time to get to it. The new version included some ship exploration, an inventory, and a mystery. And yes, the Robot had a part in it.

So nothing new on the front, or what not.

Now... onto the completely new releases.

Welp, it's out there. Past-me wasn't sure whether I could manage an 2022IFComp release or have to delay it until the SpringThing2023. I did upload it for the IFComp, for better or for worse (reached the 37th spot). It was a lot, sometimes even too much. I made a whole Post-Mortem/feeling post about it in November.

I had a plan on giving it an After-Comp Update, but what I want to include is a lot more than I thought when I first submitted it. And that requires time and effort that I did not have. That is not to say I won't update it, because I will. There are many more stories I want to add. I'm still glad I managed to add some Accessibility and QoL settings for that version rather than an update... and this project is the first one that included keybindings!

But the stats are a bit... weird. While it was available on the IFComp website on the 1st of October, there were no analytics available until I uploaded the game on itch. Which was only 1.5 month later.

Otherwise, strong start, as always, and dwindle in interest pretty shortly (within a week or so). I really wish we could have access to analytics for the IFComp.... If I take part in the IFComp this year, I think I'll just upload it on itch directly...

On IFDB, TTTT is the most rated/reviews work I have. This is due to it being part of the IF Comp, where a lot of player leave review on the Forum (before transferring them on the IFDB). We are standing at 15 ratings for an average of 3 1/2 stars, and 7 reviews.

This was a project I teased already last year (under the name Project M) but didn't see proper progress until essentially this spring. It's a neat tandem projects with MelS, who wrote everything. I just do some editing and the coding. It's been pretty fun to have something completely different and to collaborate with someone else. MelS has a really good horror voice and a clear view of what his story should look like (really envious of him in that sense). And he's just... do whatever with the coding/visual. I think we have a good balance between the two of us.

Just before Halloween (and for the EctoComp), TTATEH was released with a Prologue and 2 chapters. I It managed to reached 3rd place for the competition too. And we got some really nice feedback to help us finish the project (Chapter 3 is still in editing). The pace is when MelS has time...

Not yet in terms of daily numbers, but I wouldn't be shocked to see it happen in a few updates. And I am not too surprised by the amount of interest looking at the notes on the intro post and other teasing posts. And the Lovecraft/Mystery is pretty popular too... But I am really excited about seeing those numbers, because I really think MelS's writing and project is awesome and should get all the views.

Created in less than 4h (total, spread over a week), La Petite Mort was a short entry to the French EctoComp. It reached 1st place :D

This was a fun project, that not only helped me get back into writing in French (ahead of translating the re-writes of Meeting the Parents), I got to put into action another template I had created and try out a more "standard"/old school form of IF with more of a room/puzzle base. And writing a younger PC was something new too! I had planned on having more room/puzzles and have and English translation ready, but time got the best of me (there was a 4h limit).

Since it was part of the EctoComp, LPM snatched a rating of 3 stars with a review on the IFDB (and the French IF Community streamed it on Twitch!).

Like LPM, Goncharov Escapes! was a short created game (in 4 days!), of which the premise was created for the Goncharov Game Jam and the gameplay for the One-Button Jam. I really wanted to participate once in a meme, so when Autumn created the Jam, I just went for it. On the other hand, one member of the French IF is the organiser of the yearly One-Button Jam, which is a bit of a casse-tête for IF games (you are so limited with just one link!).

So two birds, one stone. Goncharov Escapes! was born... I got to test some mechanics I had been thinking of including in other projects (the QTE/labyrinth-like path). I was really happy it not only worked, but people enjoyed it as much as I did creating it!

I know Goncharov Escapes! was not the most popular entry of the Gonchie Jam, and I'd love to see how my entry compared to the others... But then if I do get my answer, I don't think that'd make me happier... Ignorance is bliss and all...

The game still received 3 ratings on IFDB for an average of 4, and one lovely review!

My latest baby, another sci-fi project created last minute for the Twine Sci-Fi Jam and the Two-Button Jam (same organiser as the One-Button one). After reading some more sci-fi this year (both in long and short form) and watching some fun sci-fi series, I'd been wanting to create a slice-of-life set in space just for the lolz. Something as serious as Goncharov Escapes! but pushed a bit further in terms of content.

This game was still limited to 2 buttons/links (from the Two-Button Jam), which created some challenge (though less than with Goncharov Escapes!). This was more or less created in a week (with 85% of what is currently online having been done during that timeframe, the rest being a small added updated). There was still more that I had partly coded/written but not playable enough to be open to the player (it is coming tho!). A bit miffed I was the only one who actually rated all entries of the Twine Sci-Fi Jam, making my entry unranked...

Since last summer, I've been messing around with CSS/HTML. This little side thing turned into a more serious project: the 100% Good Twine SugarCube Templates. On top of two templates (the Simple Book and One-Page), I have also introduced a Ready-to-Use Tweego Folder and Guide (so people wouldn't struggle as much as I did with it) and the ChoiceScript to SugarCube Transition Guide (as more CScript creators looked into transitioning to Sugarcube that summer.

The Simple Book Template was released at the end of June, the Ready-to-Use Tweego was late August, the CScript to Sugarcube Guide was early September, and the One-Page Template was mid-October. Both templates were released in both a ZIP folder and HTML-only file.

Pine Manor

One of the sustainable development goals recognized by the United Nations is eliminating hunger. Not only should we work towards feeding all people around the world, but we should do so in a sustainably sound way. Sustainable agriculture practices include growing plants that require less water, planting a variety of crops, limiting the use of pesticides, and reducing food waste. The book “Sustainability Principles and Practice” explains the problem of hunger around the world, “Hunger or food scarcity is a problem worldwide. The FAO reports that more than 820 million people in the world are hungry, and 2 billion experience moderate to severe food insecurity (ibid., ix). In absolute terms, the problem is one of distribution rather than quantity (Heinberg 2011, 218)” (Robertson, 2021, p. 313). In the United States, there is more than enough food to go around to feed all of the people living in this country. However, millions of households still experience food insecurity because they cannot afford to purchase enough food. In Fort Myers, Florida, the Pine Manor Community Center strives to eliminate food insecurity for its residents in a sustainable way.

Pine Manor is known as a transient neighborhood - 80% of the households in this area are rented duplexes, and most residents only stay there for a short time before moving away. Despite this fact, the Pine Manor Community Center does its best to make sure that its residents' needs are met. The community food pantry is stocked with all sorts of food items, including canned foods, peanut butter, meat, fruits, vegetables, and bread. The pantry also offers residents other necessary items like baby formula, diapers, and menstrual products. Sometimes, the food pantry even gets dog and cat food donations from the Gulf Coast Humane Society.

Alongside the food pantry, Pine Manor residents also have access to a community garden and food forest. I was shocked to see the vast quantity of crops that grow in the small space allotted for the garden. Fresh fruits and vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, kale, tomatoes, cherries, bananas, and mangoes all grow in the garden. Herbs like oregano, milkweed, bay leaf, and basil in the garden are used by residents to season food, make tea, and for their medicinal properties. A compost pile in the middle of the garden repurposes organic waste into fertilizer for the plants. Meanwhile, inside the food forest, tropical fruits like papayas and guavas grow.

Pine Manor is doing a great job of solving food insecurity in the community in a sustainable way. Food pantries give people access to food without the need to increase food production, which takes up resources like land and water and produces waste. Community gardens and food forests are examples of sustainable agriculture because they do not contribute to food transportation costs nor do they require the vigorous use of pesticides. We should all strive to be more like Pine Manor.

My Legal Battle with my Family and their Co-horts / Co-conspirators (165):

Over the course of a year (during the COVID lockdown/shutdown) I filed nineteen (19) Arrest Warrant Applications and was granted nineteen (19) Arrest Warrant Hearings for those nineteen (19) applications I filed. Doctors told me they didn't understand why I was having any "breakthrough" seizures and I'd like to add that in the twenty-five (25) years of being epileptic had never taken seizure medication prior to the seizure I had on February 21st, 2020 and only had five (5) seizures in my entire life.

Attached to this post are four (4) images. The first is an email exchange between my mother, Gloria Sumter, and me. Well, due to me having a seizure and not being present for those nineteen (19) arrerst warrant hearings, all the charges against all those defendants were dismissed. What my mother admits during this email exchange, which is her statement to me at the very top of this email exchange, is how NONE of the other defendants even came to court that day. She was the only one that even showed up. So obviously everyone else knew for some reason that I WOULD have a seizure and therefore they didn't even show up. If I hadn't had a seizure and made it to court, an arrest warrant would have been issued for all of the defendants that didn't show up. And no one knew I had had the seizure until after court had already taken place. My mother even emailed me to ask me if I "was okay" because I didn't show up.

The other three (3) images are pictures of / evidencing my injuries from the seizure I had that morning when I was supposed to be in court. How did everyone know I was going to have a seizure? This evidences, not only that all the defendants knew I would have a seizure and miss court but also evidences their guilt for all the arrest warrants I had filed against them.

My name is Jessica York. I have a daughter, Haylee, who was diagnosed with PH at three-and-a-half years old on, that and a heart defect. She passed away at seven and a half from PH. We are continuing to work with Team Phenomenal Hope and PH to bring awareness and keep Haylee's memory alive through that. Today, I just want to talk about what has happened with me and my family since the loss of Haylee three years ago in February.

Everything is just clouded by sadness now because there should always be Haylee there. I think a lot of people don't talk about the ripple effects of loss. Everybody's ripple effects are different depending on who you lost or what age they were. But for us, Haylee was only seven. Her sister, Jordayn's nine years older than her, but her and Jordayn were super close. We missed all those little kid things. Jordayn graduated I guess the year after Haylee passed, so it's like we miss out on the field trips, the parties at school, the trick-or-treats, Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, all those things. I wasn't really prepared for that I guess, because we only have two kids and Haylee was the youngest. I definitely feel robbed of that part of life.

The thing that has really kept us going is keeping Haylee present in our todays. We've really made it a priority. We say that Haylee wrote a legacy of love, so we've made it a priority to continue her legacy by honoring her, just making sure to keep her present in our days because we couldn't go on if Haylee wasn't in our life. It's not an option just to put her to the side, stop thinking about her and just move on with life. We're just going to continue to carry her through with us. That's what's really helped in making new traditions and just make sure every day she's included.

We go to visit her quite often, once a month we'll go visit her. We call her resting plays her fairyland. We really try to make it a fun place to go, rather than a place to mourn her, a place to love her. We've had Santa Claus come there to visit. We do Easter egg hunts with her cousins there. For her birthday, we had a snowball fight last year. Her birthday's in July, but we got snowballs from the snow shop and we did a snowball fight. That's really helped. The place where she passed away, on the street, I make a cross every month with a different theme and we put that out there every month.

Last year we did, and we're going to do it again this year, Seven Runs for Hay. We chose to do seven different charities that touched our lives personally and we do those runs to bring awareness to those charities as well as bring awareness and raise funds for Team Phenomenal Hope. We've been doing that.

We have a cutout of Haylee, a life size cutout, and we've taken that everywhere with us, even to the beach, and we get pictures with her with that. We've really enjoyed doing that. We've had people write her name in the sand across the world. Every time someone sends a picture that just brightens our day because we know that Haylee's being remembered and not forgotten, and that's huge for us.

February 11th, we're coming up on her third angel anniversary. On that day, we've done it the past couple years, but we'll do a balloon release at her fairyland, as we call it. Then everybody goes to one of her favorite places, which is Chuck E. Cheese. We eat pizza and play games. Then at the time that she passed away, the initial time that my husband Joe made the 911 call, which was 7:00, we walk to her cross, which is right up the street from our parents' house. We do a glow walk, where we have glow sticks and different flashing lights and stuff like that. We just like to put a little bit of Haylee's spunk to everything.

For me, every day is horrible, but I have noticed that these last couple weeks and the weeks leading up to the day she passed away, I feel more anxious. I can feel it because I will start falling asleep, I can't stay awake. I can feel the anxiety building to that day. Of course, we think about that day all the time and we talk about it all the time, even when it's not nearing, but in the weeks coming, it definitely is a buildup of reliving the anxiety that I felt those weeks too. Back when this was happening, when she was going to have her heart catheterization, I just didn't feel right that time. I felt so much more scared and anxious. I just felt like something bad was going to happen. You have those thoughts even though logically you know there's nothing you could have done, but you still feel like you let them down and maybe I should have done something different and maybe she would still be here. Those thoughts come up too, I think, more than throughout the year, but it's definitely always there.

I know for Joe, he actually was set to start a new job the week after she passed, so they pushed back his start date for him. His job was a fresh start in a way because he hadn't worked there previously from Haylee passing. For him now, he pretty much just works himself to death. He works there, he works on the weekends, he's just constantly working because it helps him keep his mind off of it.

For me, going back to work, I worked at a pediatrician office, it was very hard for me because I was seeing kids all day. I was seeing her date of birth all day at work. I initially went back, and she passed away February of 2020, so right after pretty much the pandemic hit, which really intensified a lot of things for us. I actually ended up taking a couple more weeks off and just my mom came over and we did some painting and stuff in the house. But for us, I think COVID happening right after was fairly difficult because you couldn't have the same outlets you normally have. Hockey, watching Blues games and going to Blues games was a huge outlet for us, but that got taken away for a period of time because of COVID. That what made it very difficult as well.

I think for us it's just been making those traditions, but keeping her in those traditions. If we go to the beach, that was Haylee's favorite place. Ironically, that's where we feel most at peace, I know I say that for myself, Joe and Jordayn. It's just something about being there puts us at such peace and makes us feel more connected with her. We can write her name in the sand and we can take the cutout and we can get family pictures so she can still be a part of it.

But for me too, and I think Jordayn as well, it's having my niece and nephew. They're nine and 12 and they were really close to Haylee and we did a lot of things, having them for me has been a huge help. I don't know how I would have honestly been able to do it without still having them to do things with, because we did craft days with Haylee. Once a month they would stay the night and we would do our craft days. The first few times we did that, it was really hard on especially Jordayn and Leo, who was her youngest cousin. They would have outbursts and cry, but each time we've done it's gotten better and better. We usually make something for Haylee while we're doing the crafts and just still try to incorporate her. She always comes up, of course, the whole time we're doing it.

For myself, and I think for our family, we were stuck with hearing the prognosis that the doctor gave us when she was first diagnosed. I kept having it stuck in my head, a decade, a decade, a decade, she's going to live a decade. She would've been 10 this past birthday, so I really thought we wouldn't lose her until at least 10. I could feel more anxious and more anxiety coming up the closer she got to 10. But also, with the encouragement of our doctor, we really tried to make the most of her life because we always knew and felt like she was not going to have a full life. He was pretty honest with telling us that. We tried to make the best of every day and just do as much with her as possible.

She was so joyful. Haylee was just the sweetest, kindest person. She always wanted everybody to be happy. Haylee was always trying to make sure you weren't sad, so it was hard to be sad around her because she was just so joyful. But I definitely always had fear, fear of losing her, when it was going to happen, how it was going to happen, but I definitely wasn't expecting it to happen as soon as it did because I was stuck on just feeling like those 10 years, well, we have to figure out something that's going to help her before that 10 years gets up. That was constantly the timeline, I guess, was the most fearful for me, the closer we got to that point.

For me, it was like when she first was diagnosed the losses happened from afar. It was like somebody that you were friends with on Facebook, but they were friends with them so you didn't even know them. Then it just kept moving closer and closer in. Then we lost Candy when she was here for the PH walk, that we were really close to. Then when Madison passed away it was devastating to me. That's when my fear really grew, because Haylee's heart death was just a few weeks after hers. I just had a horrible feeling. Then after Haylee passed, Hazel passed and she was only two-and-a-half years old, I think. It's just continuing to watch all these people that you've come to build a friendship with, even if it's been over Facebook. It's just like you have to watch them one by one just pass away from this horrible disease. You can keep trying to find a cure, but you just know that that's going to be the end result.

My advice is just keep them present. That's the biggest advice I can give. Make traditions, those help so much for us. Any way you can include them in current traditions or make new traditions. You don't want them to be forgotten. There's ways to carry them forward each and every day and years to come. You just have to find what will work best for your family. We've done a lot of them, we have a lot of them, we're continuing to grow new ones, but I just think that that's personally what's helped us best, is making sure she's not forgotten and left in our past so we can keep continuing forward with her.
