Welp, the doppelganger fic has earned a mood board, or I guess a collage of sorts. Enjoy you shameless encouragers. (I love you all!) Previous snippet and original idea can be found here.

Who is who? Hen: Attorney with a husband (there will be a joke about her bagging hot spouses), Buck: British traveling photographer, Eddie: Street dancer (his name will be Sean!), Ravi: Ivy league college student. Chimney: Supreme court judge, Maddie: Masseuse who gives 'extra' and apparently see's ghost, Bobby: alcoholic announcer for an NHL team, Athena: African royalty in LA to escort the body of her deceased husband home

And I'm even including a very very short snippet:

Chimney and Hen watch the judge that carries Chim's face pick up his brief case, dust if off, and give a still wide eyed Buck a short nod, "Thank you for the concern, but I'm sure the first aide kit in my office will suffice. Besides I'm due in court very soon." He starts to walk away, then pauses and looks back, meeting each of the teams stares. When his eyes reach Chimney, there's the slightest tilt of his head and an almost wonder-like expression flashes across his face, "Hm." The doppelganger murmers, his eyes lingering on the paramedic. A quick moment passes before the judge is shaking his head with the smallest of smiles, "Father would sorely disapprove." He murmurs then strides away. Chimney catches his otherworldly twin's statement and scoffs, "You have no idea man."

Theory : Is Wally Darling with a Doppelgänger?__________

I saw that there would be an update, in Welcome Home, which will be released in March, and I had a little theory that I thought of!

My little theory is this? And if Wally Darling has a problem with his Doppelgänger, we have only seen that Wally is not doing well, there is a split personality problem and where would there be two Wallys, if it was Wally's Doppelgänger problem! ?

For those who don't know what a Doppelgänger is, the Doppelgänger is a "sosie" or "double of a living person". It is present in fiction, folklore, or even in Germanic mythology and Nordic mythology. It designates the ghostly double of a living person, most often an evil twin. The appearance of a double is a bad omen, announcing misfortune or the death of the individual meeting his double.

Doppelgänger are ultra dangerous, they try to replace you and kill you, they always have an ultra strong smiling face and dark eyes!

The problem too, and perhaps impossible, is that all of Wally's friends and himself are puppets, puppets do not have a Doppelgänger, they are not alive, but for Wally apparently, it is he who really has a conscience and who may be alive, so he may be a doppelganger and who has a problem with his doppelganger!

This is just my little theory, I don't think so, but we'll see in the next Welcome Home update!

i need to get less ashamed of talking about my interests on my 0 follower tumblr blog because if i don't point out that despite having one of the most interesting concepts ever presented in a genshin event, shadows amidst snowstorms was not actually well written, and was in fact pretty Poorly written, then who else will. Who else will.

#seashell resonance #Anyway amber hasn't shown up in any content since 1.0 where she wasn't optional or thrown out entirely in favor of standing as an #advertisement for euIa. case in point in the scene in shadows amidst snowstorms where you're waiting outside the cave for albedo the last #person joel was left with was amber. when euIa confronts albedo about the fake trying to lead joel away...there's no mention ever of the #fact that amber...was With Joel. Amber who is an Outrider trained to Notice Danger. Either left joel with fakebedo without noticing anythin #or the actual explanation: hoyo didn't care enough to write her because. well. Amber Bad #the next time we see her is when she shows up with bennett #amber used to have a lot of fire to her and this sort of unique not quite cockiness but like. easy way to tell she used to be the difficult #kid we hear about in her character stories and teapot dialogue #she serves no purpose in shadows amidst snowstorms #an event that easily could've capitalized on the Horror aspect of being trapped with a doppelganger of one of your coworkers and shown off #ALL the characters (because get this. You can make people wanna spend on characters who aren't meta by making them Like Them.)#but amber? no value in any event she's ever been in. she talks about good hunter and sticky honey roast. she gets flustered. euIa pays for #her meal. Remember how she was in Almost All of razor's story quest and then when they needed a knight to give him a gift in weinlessefest #they chose...SUCROSE AND NOELLE?#remember how collei has had more on screen interactions with fucking euIa and sucrose than AMBER #how amber and collei's reunion was what people wanted to see and instead it happens off screen and amber simply isn't relevant during #windblume? how amber didn't get a skin with lisa and kaeya? how amber has no appearance in kaeya's hangout event despite their dynamic in #the webtoon and her being suspicious of him presenting so much room to work with?#her tcg dialogue has a meta joke in it. Because amber bad and amber doesn't exist outside of euIa and connecting collei to euIa #and i could go on. about the writing for cyno. about collei. about the way they write kokomi or any genius character. about albedo even.#about all my Other gripes with euIa because they go to about every single aspect of her character except her Basic personality #which is to say the personality we see in most of her voicelines. she could've literally been a saving grace for the cast if she weren't on #of the like top 3 worst written characters #i could talk about like almost any character's decay but that's not the point. Not the point. Nobody look atme.#i tried to replace the L in euIa's name with a capital i to make this post not show up in front of her enjoyers somehow but if it does #sorry about that! no problems with you it's hoyoverse who has my ire #i have so much more to say even just about amber specifically since she is. Yesterday my brain threw up this idea for a possible bottle episode and then at last minute dropped the random thought of it being a wip I should write. Then you all shamelessly encouraged me...sigh. Notes were made, words were written, and a new wip was born. So I give to you, my doppelganger fic.

Doppelgänger. A German word that literally means double-walker. A phenomenon often regaled in science fiction or supernatural tales. Seen as otherworldly beings that represent bad luck or outright evil. Because each person that comes into the world is supposed to be unique in their own way physically (outside of identical twins). The face you see in the mirror is yours and yours only, so seeing it on another, well it must mean something? Right? It’s a contemplation that a group of firefighters from the 118 face just after the annular California solar eclipse, a time when strange phenomena truly occur. October 14th, 2023, the day after the solar eclipse and the beginning of a truly unique 48-hour shift. The team hears about the shift from the 13th from the previous crew. How the solar eclipse brought out the conspiracist, doom sayers, and extra wackos. Chimney thanks his lucky stars that he was not stuck on that shift and can’t help but chuckle when Buck goes on a tangent about the ‘effects’ of the eclipse sun. His chuckle deepens when he spots Eddie rolling his eyes behind his best friend’s back, keeping his opinions and disbelief to himself, for now. “You know, there’s a theory that the eclipse is actually a portal to another dimension or world.” Buck states as he pulls on a standard LAFD shirt, finally covering his bare chest. Chimney clocks the mild disappointment that flashes across Eddie’s face and Chimney internally gags. Next to him, Ravi snorts and shakes his head, “They are so blind and stupid.” He mutters under his breath and Chim gives a slight nod of agreement. Too bad the eclipse didn’t use its supernatural prowess to finally end the sexually charged and love sickening dance that has been going on between those two firefighters for way too long. Eddie’s disappointment last only seconds and by the time Buck turns around, a cheeky smile has replaced the frown, “A portal huh? Does it take anyone then? Or just dump another Mothman into the hills?”

LOOK WHAT YA'LL MADE ME DO! I have so many other wips, including NFL Buck and 4+1 Cockblock that I am trying to get done, but nooooo my random thought is now being shamelessly encouraged. Happy?!?!?! (Seriously, actually giddy about this! Its a fun fic with some serious undertones.) Forshame!
