Hey @hael987 @liyazaki and @ommited-miscellaneously I'm finally doing the tag game of watch rewatch list
Watching
Cafe minamdang - korean: it gives me lawlwaa lawyer vibes + Seo In Guk and I am loving it
Why her-korean: Seo Hyun Jin is an amazing and our heroine is revenge driven and morally grey.
Eve-korean: Again, the actress, Seo Yea Ji is an amazing actress and the character is revenge driven and morally grey.
(2 shows with morally grey badass women who stomp over trashy men is airing together? Yes, I am indeed in heaven)
Extraordinary Attorney Woo-korean: I was skeptic to begin it because cleaning with passion pissed me off with how it portrayed mental health disorder and how someone lives with them but then I remembered it's okay to not be okay, you are my spring and our blues also exist and I gave it a try and I am glad I did because it seems they have done their research and that's all I ask from all shows. I get it yall can't show all facts but don't spread misinformation (I am looking at you clean with a passion) or romanticise it.
Veep-English: i know its a fictional presentation of vice president of usa but I wouldn't be surprised if this is how the actual day of politicians around the world went
What We Do In Shadows-English: it's ridiculous, over the top, hilarious and I love it.
Community- English: Let's just say it's me reliving my childhood nostalgia. I watched this show on and off when it aired on TV in my college years and that made me start the show.
Rewatch
Kinnporsche- Thai: so usually, I don't rewatch. Hell, KinnPorsche will be the second show I rewatch, first being Bad Buddy. Why am I rewatching? Because KinnPorsche is a show that deserves to be appreciated with the truckload of feels I get hit with when binge watching.
What I am looking forward to:
Vice Versa - Thai: The AU of all AU's. I can feel it.
The Son Of Chaebol: It's Song Joong Ki, of course I am going to watch it. And I quite like the trope of second life.
What I Plan to Watch:
She doesn't need to know: Korean-it just dropped on netflix and what can I say I am basic bitch who is a sucker for office romances.
I tag @snimeat @morathicain @machikeita @petevegas @aponatawin @surajmukhis @negrowhat and any one who wants to play this.

What kind of stuff do you like to write?
This is a good question and I have a lot of answers, depending on how you mean. UNFORTUNATELY this is going to be a long response, so I apologize in advance.
On the broader scale, my goal as a writer has been to write (at least) one work for each genre and medium.
So my last book (my fifth one finished) was a collection of fantasy short stories that all take place in a fictional city on Halloween night with a different fantasy creature for each story.
The short stories went something like this:
A play about a girl trying to rescue her sister from fairies and falling through a fairy circle to the fantasy world linked to their city,
A dialogue between two skeleton sisters buried in the same coffin,
A Second Person POV about a werewolf transforming and trying to tell some really lousy cops that she just killed her friend,
A Third Person POV about two witch cousins and a stranger to the town (also a witch) trying to commune with their (cursed) dead parents,
A vampire love story because I really wanted to write a supernatural YA romance 😭😭😭,
And then the worst of the bunch,
A micro story about a fucking tree person (who's also the mayor) trying to stick his dick in some dirt because he's in love with the personification of the city they all live in. Also he dies 😐😐😐 (which was probably for the best)
Basically, for that project I wanted to do something small scale for what I plan to accomplish big scale.
My last few books have been an array of things though. But USUALLY I find myself drawn to writing LGBTQIA+ characters, usually women and/or genderfluid characters, who go batshit fucking crazy and do the absolute most. I personally love writing strong female characters who are unhinged, whether it be through anger or depression or any other expression of emotions, and also mega gay.
I'm a HUGE fan of character studies.
I do try to include things that kinda interest me/things I know about. For example one book that I've been writing for awhile is a fictional autobiography by a gender-fluid ballerina who suffers with eating disorders, trying to understand their gender-fluidity and sexuality, and FAME.
Another was a multi-POV about a punk rock girlband getting abused by their management and all going through their own things (asexuality, psychosis, bisexuality, pregnancy 💀, fake dating).
And after that, I wrote a trashy boarding school series for rich kids with disabilities and/or disorders. Because I wanted to do something Pretty Little Liars/Gossip Girl/anything CW vibes. Like something that 13 year olds would EAT UP even though it's the most ridiculous thing ever.
Also, lately I been writing a lot of poetry and short stories, some that have been noir for my boyfriend because he loves the 1930s private detective era and Philip Marlowe. I've also been writing a PROSTITUTE story based in the 90s in the Southern USA about sexual abuse and MURDER. So that's been wild. Also, a mermaid/siren soulmates spin-off story in the same world as my fantasy anthology.
But when I first started writing at like 11 years old, it was mostly fanfiction. And stupid teenage pregnancy stories. *cringe*
So to sum up this wildly and cruelly long answer, I plan on writing LOTS of things. And I LOVE writing lots of things.
My writing has been a fucking roller coaster of literally everything, mostly trash. And I've been trying to widen my comfort zone and dip my toe into things I've never tried. I hope to write a little bit of everything one day.
And the one thing they ALL seem to have in common is they're gay as shit and slay as fuck. And there's usually some wild fucking ladies in them.
Anyway, thank you so much for the ask! I haven't really had a chance to talk about my writing on here, so that means a lot. I truly hope from the bottom of my heart that this answer didn't kill you wasn't the worst thing you've ever read.
Xoxo,

what i know, anon, from public wisdom is a fling of Meghan Markle with Dell Zotto. She was 30 and he was 23. I'd take it as good fitness session and a boost of self confidence. I don't bother about something outside of NHL and ice hockey topic. I think she has made herself a total unkempt home fool in her badly staged whining reality trashy series and had exposed her huge ego, delusion all gained by her 3rd husband and her real non photoshopped face and huge nose that she edits. So she has hurt only herself if she ordered to film Marketa in her privacy and I believe so based on Markle's hoke videos. Her little helper UK fashion editor is mad with her horrible fashion clash for crash with belly. There are serious criminal charges for it to film anybody dressing up in own privacy and distribute it.
Tumblr media
Markle will be found as a sex pervert in proximity of her famous neighbours in any home search. I'd finish it here. It is not for my blog and a topic. I think all these ruling Windsors Mountbattens and their add ons are weird bunch of lazy posers.media seekers., Manipulation, victim players, corrupted idiots and fools taken for rides with charlatans. Car presenter rattled the cage with something what old mistress told him about Markle and naker body being paraded through the streets. Markle is nasty manipulator hold digga but it's about treatment of the women. Does it come from Camilla as old mistress trying to set up Marketa for a trap with her darling climber equarry with similar name Jonathan who can't keep to stay outside of the press? He has hired social media and buzzes to UK press and had JT. Lol. I don't go into their melee. I think old mistress can't get out of mags covers and cheap publicity but lacks any charity work. She is full of intrigue like Markle and she did it for Diana but they are all lazy, weird odd bunch of stupid tone deaf old farts naming themselves as generals or below average looking women gold diggas ruling to those weak men. We have two mad old farts trying to be our presidents again but i am glad to be USA with government full of experts in their fields than corrupted bunch of PR executives and a tour operator who has damaged their health and financial and police.,army system. They all sold to contractors and run cocaine parties bigger than Hunter. Markle is just plain US citizen Markle for me and us and no favour made to see her and her Prince whinge in the dishevelled look and different face than button nose on edited photos with heavy make up. We know she was unknown prior of her big trophy and athletes are smarter because they are natural hunters chasing the most prized trophy and medal but not other way round lol. The main ruling bunch are a bunch of weirdos, trashy like Meghan and so desperate to appear next to celebs and stars from. Oston to that London party that they are at the same trashy yet lazy let them eat cake level. Nothing to do with ice hockey. Sure Prince Harry copied Andrew Shaw's Spiderman's costume and he looks like an idiot so he copied her stay at UK aircraft carrier in NYC for his spying at our carrier in Hawaii but there is zero with ice hockey. So out of topic. Markle was not Wag and she is not a journo In this sport. Any bad things by MM have to be issued by M bLW and her team, UK has demanded tha that Sussexes are without any titles. If the king does it listen to his country he will face his own music as we are different country bit both use precedents in law and there was Edward vIII and there are human rights and rights of UK taxpayers . I don't pay them and I don't care. They are losers attracting losers thinking they are cover stars and above the law and us.rkld
Markle sponged $50 millions plus from UK tax payers money and she spat on them. Her children showed for monetary reasons in cheaply made dicy series with unkempt d list show girl. Aged Camilla poses with celebs and for mags bythe storm but lacks anything from brain cells of a gambler with messy life Evander Kane who is actually with claim to fame and hot look on his own, also smart PR to run hands on charity and his own biz..old Camilla thinks that she dishonours a young brainy beauty stating out of the press with certain Thompson or her nonsense like with Diana. M is calm and Meghan M perhaps to similar treatment like Kane's ex-wife after her multiple admission about suicide so Californian law triggered because Markle admitted she is unstable and a treat to her own life. I would stay away. They are a mix of Delusion bunch mixed with drugs apparently smuggled in party paraphernalia import by Kate Middleton's mother and an uncle from Netherlands, monitored over a year...I am glad I don't pay this check circus of not good lookers and no way Netflix cancelling good series for broadcasting this badly made home tapes of dishevelled deluded devils.
B) I plan numerous posts one about brown shoes of Tazer, female journos and wags but I am busy and lazy now. Also Blackhawks play terribly.

Regarding the question about discrimination based on physical appearance, as a foreigner, I would love to hear your insights on as to why the USA has so much fatphobia when a large percentage of its population is actually overweight. I could see it happening in places like Korea or Japan where nearly everyone is thin (unless you fight Sumo), but I never understood why it happens so much in America.
Many many factors led America to where it is now with fatphobia and beauty culture, but this article does a fantastic jobs of summarizing key points in history that pushed us towards our present day fixations/misconceptions.
Not mentioned in the article but still important factors:
-Way back in the day, being able to afford enough food to put on some extra weight was a sign of wealth and privilege and was therefore desirable. Now that we’re surrounded with food (especially the cheap, trashy kind) now more than any other point in history, it’s the opposite--having enough money to buy healthy food is a sign of wealth and privilege and is therefore desirable.
-We were fixated on thinness before fatness was the majority, but now that thinness is even more ‘rare’ it’s considered even more desirable and sought after. The fast food boom in the 80s and 90s was great for the beauty and diet industry--even more fat and “fat” people to shame into buying their products. The dwindling population of “thin” people has only put them on an even higher pedestal.
-Our public health education sucks. Even if you’re lucky enough to have a health class requirement, you typically come out of that class knowing “veggies good, sugar bad” and “thin good, fat bad,” instead of, say, actual nutrition and health information. As a result, most Americans believe that almost any degree of “extra” weight is literally unhealthy. (And how most Americans define extra weight, btw, is through an outdated and debunked system called BMI that is utter bullshit.)
-We’ve deeply tied thinness to morality. If you’re thin you’re automatically assumed to be healthy, responsible, and generally taking care of yourself. You ‘put the effort’ into being fuckable your health. If you’re fat or even just have an inconsequential bit of padding, you must be lazy, lacking discipline, sloppy, and physically ill. (This is how the beauty and diet industry can capitalize on our feelings of shame.)
-We’re given the message dozens (if not hundreds) of times a day that thin = beautiful. All day, every day we’re shown thin bodies as examples of top tier beauty. Men get this messaging too, but it’s particularly heinous for women. The subtext we receive as a result is that if you’re fat, or even have a perfectly harmless extra bit of weight, you’re ugly, disgusting, and will never be desired.
-Alternate voices in beauty like the Body Positivity movement are constantly being ripped apart for any reason the public can think of in order to quash more realistic thinking (because realism often discards shame, and shame sells). It’s extremely difficult to put better ideas into the mainstream’s eye and be listened to before the person saying those ideas are hyper-scrutinized and “cancelled.” (In a couple of cases the criticism of a person has been warranted, but that’s used as an excuse to throw out their entire message even if the criticism had nothing to do with it.) So far I think Lizzo is the only body positive person to not get ousted or “discredited,” though she still gets plenty of fatphobia aimed at her.
Basically, it’s complicated. Anyone who tries to handwave the issue with “oh Americans are just shallow” is too ignorant to be listened to.

The National Enquirer is as trashy as a magazine can get, yet they broke the news story that former VP candidate John Edwards was expecting a child with his mistress. They also broke that Civil Rights leader Jesse Jackson had cheated on his wife and had a love child, also they broke several stories about Bill Cosby raping women and paying them off. And this was years and years before he was arrested. The source doesn't matter, if it's true.
YES. The CNNs and BBCs of the world have no qualms about reporting on exposes that originated from tabloids. I know Americans have been trained to dismiss The Sun and The Daily Mail as tabloids but who really cares when they are the two biggest selling NEWSPAPERS in the UK. It’d be like calling USA Today a tabloid.

Tumblr media
Let’s talk about the B in LGBTQ. A recent CDC poll found that 5.5 percent of women and 2 percent of men aged 18-44 identify as bisexual, which is significantly higher than the percentage of women and men who identify as lesbian/gay (1.3 percent and 1.9 percent, respectively). Even many people who don’t identify as bi have swung both ways at least once: 17.4 percent of women and 6.3 percent of men age 18-44 surveyed have had some same-sex contact.
Yet we don’t hear all that much about bi rights. But bisexual people still face discrimination, often from unexpected sources. Here are just a few of them.
Mental Health Professionals
YouTube vlogger Connor Manning recounted an awful encounter with a therapist who told him that he isn’t really bisexual. Instead of offering him proper treatment, the therapist spent a half hour trying to convince him not to call himself bi.
About the incident, Connor says,
What if I was someone who was freshly questioning their sexuality? …For a lot of people, especially those seeking help for their mental health, these things are an issue and they’re confusing and scary. To have someone who’s supposed to be a resource I can trust, someone I can open up to, try and invalidate my identity was really deeply sad to me. I also talked to a few people about it after the fact and they told me that this is something that happens all the time, unfortunately.
Research confirms this. A 2007 study published by Columbia University Press found that more than a quarter of therapists assumed their bisexual clients needed therapy for their sexuality. About a sixth saw bisexuality as a symptom of mental illness. Seven percent of therapists in the study tried to convert their bisexual clients to heterosexuality; 4 percent tried to turn their bisexual clients gay or lesbian.
Unfortunately, the misconception that bisexuality isn’t a real, unique sexual identity is very common. It’s so common that bi rights activists have an expression for it: bi erasure. Bi erasure is pretty much what it sounds like: Insisting that bisexuality isn’t real and that bisexuals are “really” just confused straight or gay people.
Faith Cheltenham of BiNet USA says that bisexuality is often subsumed under ‘gay’, but in reality “being gay is as different from being straight as being bi is. It’s not being half straight, half gay… you’re going to have a completely different life cycle experience from your gay peers.”
A young bisexual person going through that unique life cycle might feel lonely and confused and seek a therapist for help. If that therapist just turns around and tries to suppress their sexuality, it’s devastating.
What’s especially alarming about this is the fact that bisexuals (especially bisexual women) suffer from mental health problems at a higher rate than the rest of the population. They need help more often, but they’re less likely to get it if they have to fight uphill just to have their sexuality acknowledged as real.
Immigration Officials
Since 1994, United States immigration policies have recognized persecution for LGBTQ status as grounds for asylum. However, it’s not always easy for bisexual people to gain asylum. In correspondence with Unicorn Booty, Apphia Kumar, a bi rights activist, wrote that Immigration officers aren’t properly trained to handle bisexual asylum seekers, and often don’t understand it. “They have the incorrect perception that bisexuality is a choice or can be hidden in the face of persecution or that our identities depend on the gender of our partners.”
Recently, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit denied a bisexual Jamaican man asylum on the grounds that the man wasn’t “really” bisexual. Why not? Because he was married to a woman, even though he had dated men before and had been repeatedly assaulted for having sex with men.
Claiming that someone isn’t “really” bisexual because they’re currently an opposite-sex relationship is like claiming that someone isn’t really bilingual because they only speak one language at a time. It’s a ridiculous attitude based on broken logic. But immigration officials, even well-meaning ones, reinforce this misconception. Via email, Kumar noted that immigration lawyers often don’t understand bisexuality or they don’t consider it strong enough for an asylum claim, so “to increase the chances of someone getting asylum, they advise the asylum seeker to apply as gay or lesbian. This in fact increases the trauma of invisibility and doesn’t allow us to be our true selves in the long run.”
Their Partners
Bisexual people face a higher rate of intimate partner violence than straight or gay people. According to a 2010 survey by the CDC, a staggering 61 percent of bisexual women are raped, physically abused and/or stalked by an intimate partner during their lifetimes, compared to 44 percent of lesbians and 35 percent of heterosexual women.
Bisexual men face unusually high rates of domestic violence as well: The number is 37 percent of bisexual men, compared to 26 percent of gay men and 29 percent of heterosexual men. Interestingly, the majority of this violence is coming from an opposite-sex partner. Ninety percent of bisexual women report being abused only by a male partner, and 79 percent of bisexual men report being abused by female partners.
Why is the rate so high? LGBTQ-rights activists say it comes from cultural stereotypes that paint bisexual people as immoral and undependable. Queer activist Lola Davidson writes, “A big factor of violence towards bisexuals comes from the oversexualization of bisexuality in the media and pornography. Bisexuals are often portrayed as very promiscuous and morally-ambiguous, often cheating on their partners or threatening their identity in some way.”
Stephanie Farnsworth also believes that anti-bisexual domestic violence comes from insecurity and fear of infidelity. She writes, “Checking through messages, demanding that no alone time is spent with a person of any gender and isolating one from friends suddenly becomes the norm because bisexuality is still read as wanting to have sex with anyone and everyone even though this disregards the logic that no one would ever expect a heterosexual person to fancy everyone of a different gender to them.”
We can find an example in this in the allegedly abusive relationship between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard and the media’s trashy response to it. Gossip rags suggested that Depp’s violence stemmed from Heard’s bisexuality, that he was afraid she would cheat on him with a woman.
Sadly, when bisexuals are abused, they might not have anywhere to go for help. At a Bisexual Community Issues Roundtable at the White House, one bi survivor of intimate partner violence told a heartbreaking story about being rejected by a battered women’s shelter:
The shelter staff told me I didn’t belong there, that they only served women abused by male partners. They referred me to a new gay community anti-battering project. That group also turned me away, saying that I was bisexual, not gay, so they couldn’t help me. What I felt too angry and defeated to say back then was, “Why can’t services be designed with bisexuals in mind? If we design services sensitive to bisexuals, they end up being responsive to both heterosexual and gay people, too, don’t they?”
The Media
Unfortunately, the media does a lot to reinforce negative stereotypes about bisexuality.
On television and in film, bisexual characters are usually portrayed as schemers, manipulators, and hedonists. Depraved bisexuals are so common in fiction that they even have their own TV Tropes entry. Here are just a few well-known examples from the list of evil, unhinged, monstrous bisexual characters:
Obviously, it’s not inherently wrong to portray a bisexual character as a bad person. But it’s a problem when an overwhelming number of dramas associate bisexuality with evil.
That Depraved Bisexual trope mostly applies to male characters. Female bisexuality is often presented as a performance meant to titillate men, or a way for a woman to sow her wild oats before settling down and having a “real” relationship with a man. The Daily Beast writes:
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to unpack the appeal of this falsified narrative of bisexuality. The concept of a bisexual or lesbian woman who needs to be “saved” from her own sexuality is essentially a revamping of the classic damsel in distress narrative, with the male character’s conquering masculinity cast in the role of hero. The character of the bisexual woman offers the potential for a killer combination of girl-on-girl action paired with the possibility of heterosexual redemption.
But it’s not all bad. We’ll always have Darryl, the goofy, paté-loving boss on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
Non-fiction isn’t much better than entertainment media. Bi erasure abounds here, as news publications and biographers have a hard time acknowledging that bisexuality even exists. Many real-life bisexuals, past and present, end up referred to as either straight or gay. When actress Amber Heard announced that she had a girlfriend at a GLAAD event in 2010, the press called her a lesbian.
When actress Anna Paquin discussed her marriage to actor Stephen Moyer, Larry King asked her some really clueless questions:
King: “Are you a non-practicing bisexual?”
Paquin: “Well, I am married to my husband and we are happily monogamously married.”
King: “But you were bisexual?”
Paquin: “Well, I don’t think it’s a past-tense thing.”
Larry King: “No?”
Larry King, syndicated talk show host, holds a weirdly common misconception that bisexuality means constantly having sex with men and women simultaneously.
The LGBTQ Community
The queer community treats bisexuals like a redheaded stepchild. Gays and lesbians often have the same negative attitude toward bisexuality that straight people do. A survey published in the The Journal of Bisexuality found that bisexual people receive only a little less discrimination from gays than they do from straights.
Bisexuals make up about half of the queer community and have always played a significant role in the LGBTQ rights movement, but they receive disproportionately little support in return. In Forty Years of LGBTQ Philanthropy: 1970-2010, Funders for LGBTQ Issues reports that bisexuals receive the least amount of funding out of all targeted LGBTQ sub-groups, less than 0.1 percent. Gay men received the most funding.
Tumblr media
Back in 1999, Dan Savage told gay men not to get into relationships with bisexual men. Savage has softened toward bisexuals since then and insists he’s not biphobic, but in a more recent thinkpiece, he totally dismissed the concept of biphobia and suggested that bisexuals were to blame for discrimination against them because they weren’t out enough. Savage also wrote that it is “difficult for me to accept a bisexual teenage boy’s professed sexual identity at face value.” That’s not very different from clueless straight people who think that gay teens are just going through a phase. Coming out as bi is hard enough without getting shade from the people who are supposed to be your allies.
Bi people have to fight to make their voices heard in the queer rights movement. When they express their sexuality, they are often met with hostility. Bi activist RJ Aguiar says that when he wore his #StillBisexual shirt to the 2016 LA Pride Parade, he was “met with a lot of silent, sideways looks, and even the occasional remark like, ‘What are you doing here? This isn’t for you. Go home.’ “
Telling a bisexual person that they’re not welcome at an LGBTQ Pride Event is appalling. The queer community has to do better, and stop trying to chase the B out of LGBTQ.

5 People Guaranteed To Bring The Drama On ‘Bachelor In Paradise’
I’ve been watching a lot of “Love Island USA” recently and it’s just isn’t doing it for me. These people are picky and have actual morals. It makes for terrible television.
The cast members don’t make out with each other constantly and there’s barely any drama or crying. I need to see lower standards, crabs and more trashy decisions being made. Thank goodness it’s almost Paradise!
Every year I choose which contestants I believe are the ones to watch. Whether intentional or not, these people are filled with drama. Unless you’re Blake, then you’re just filling people up with something else.

I’m really proud of Blake. After getting dumped by Becca, he went on a tour to bang every girl in the nation, including Bachelor Nation, and somehow came out STD free. It’s an impressive feat.
If you want to know the names of all the girls Blake banged, it’s listed out in the chorus of Petey Pablo’s “Freek-A-Leek.” If you listen closely enough, you can hear the names of Hannah G., Caelynn, Kristina and Tayshia. I know, I know. It’s hard to keep count of them all.
Luckily enough for Blake, they will all be easily accessible in Paradise! And as we all know, “every dog has its day,” and I’m thinking that day will happen for Blake very, very soon. Karma’s a beach, and he’s gonna get his in Paradise. :sunglasses emoji:
John Paul Jones
Tumblr media
Here’s a pic of JPJ entering Paradise in a speedo. We don’t deserve him.
Remember when I called him a serial killer? JPJ, I am so sorry.
My favorite thing about JPJ is that he isn’t putting on a show for the cameras. I recently declared him the king of the normie-passing weirdos. We love our fearless leader.
My biggest fear is that JPJ won’t find a connection in Paradise and we’ll have to say goodbye to him prematurely. For the sake of America, SOMEBODY LOVE HIM!
Shakah brah.
Demi
Tumblr media
Honestly Big Brother needs to get a new tagline because Demi is the poster child for “Expect the Unexpected.” Call me naive, but I really do believe change is coming in Bachelor Nation. Rachel Lindsay was our first black Bachelorette, and some fans (including myself) are campaigning hard for Mike to become the first black Bachelor. But silly little me never thought I’d see same sex couples on the show.
But then I see queer queen Demi in the “Bachelor in Paradise” trailer getting ready to propose to a woman. It’s everything I didn’t know I needed. But also, who is this mystery woman that Demi is in love with? Is she part of Bachelor Nation? I must know.
Chris Bukowski
Tumblr media
This guy is a Bachelor Nation legend who may be a bit unknown to the franchise’s newer fans. Chris was on Emily Maynard’s season, “Bachelor Pad 3,” attempted to crash Andi Dorfman’s season (LOL I forgot about that), then went on Bachelor in Paradise seasons 1 and 2 before formally retiring from reality tv.
After attending “Reality TV addicts anonymous” seminars for the last few years, Chris broke his sober streak for our tv viewing pleasure. How selfless of him. Also, he’s like 20 years older than some of the cast, hence why he’s using a walker.
Tumblr media
Dean’s mustache
The facial hair that rocked Bachelor Nation. With the phrase “dress to impress” in mind, Dean grew a mustache, forgot to bathe, and put on a dirty shirt he wore two years ago. He also lives in a van now.
Tumblr media
Respect women, fellas. This could be you one day.
Even with that mustache, he’s STILL going to play someone. I just know it. Kristina will also be making an appearance, so maybe he will be able to do some moral inventory with her.
Oh, and here’s a pic of Dean combing his mustache to hold you over until tonight. I apologize in advance if you’re squeamish.

The unfortunate consequences of Youtube family channels.
Many family channels have managed to garner success on YouTube. Despite this success there are many(including me) worry about the consequences of children essentially growing up online and being exposed to millions of strangers on the internet. I don't think that children can give consent to hvimg their every waking moment being documented. There is a difference between occasionally showing your children to your audience and exploiting your children to get famous.
The decisive moment that made me want to look more into this issue was when Austin from the ACE family, a YouTube channel with 17.7 million subscribers,  said with pride that he taught his 3 year-old daughter, Elle, to act on cue. Now people would argue that this is no different for children acting in films or for TV, but it isn't. There is a separation between normal life and being on set, but there isn't that distinction for children growing up on YouTube. As controversial as the ACE family are, this post is going to focus on a different family channel. The Prince family is a channel that is run by Biannca Raines and Damien Prince, they also run a channel called D&B Nation a prank channel with 3.6 million subscribers. In their prank video,"Picked My Husband In An Uber Under Disguise" Biannca dresses up as a dark skinned black women. She fully transforms herself into what she believes best represents a black women.Adopting a persona ,altering her voice and calling herself 'Bebe Shaquita'. In the video she says that she wants to look 'rachett, ghetto and ugly'. This statement alone shows that Biannca has no respect for dark skinned black women, if she did then she would not have said this. They have a team and an editor, who deemed this idea acceptable.
To me this is reminiscent of Blackface. Blackface is a form of theatrical make-up used by non-black performers to represent a caricature of a black person. A practice that gained popularity during the 19th century and contributed to the spread of racial stereotypes, such as black people being lazy and idiotic. This representation was a contributing factor to the oppression of black people in the USA because it could be used as a justification for why black people were considered inferior. Some people tried to suggest that it was not black face because Biannca is a mixed race woman. Biannca's race does not excuse this type of behaviour. Furthermore, Bianca applied dark makeup and mimicked what she believed to be a typical black woman. She intentionally mocked black women made them seem trashy, ignorant and uneducated. This is exactly what was done by performers in the 19th c. So to suggest this isn't what she did would be unwise and ignorant.
Although I'm sure this video was created in some part to be as outrageous as possible in order to draw attention to their channel, their previous actions suggest they are colourist. For example, shorty after giving birth to their second child, Biannca complained about how dark her newly born child was. She also added how disappointed because her daughter did not have light eyes like her's. It would be easy to dismiss this video as a unique case of one mixed race women being disappointed about her child's skin colour. Unfortunately, it just highlights the value placed on lighter skinned black people and how they are preferable. These views are however deeply engrained in society as a result of slavery. It is a known fact that lighter slaves, often the children of slave owners, were given privileges not extended to their darker skinned counter parts. So naturally lighter skin and more European features have subsequently been as a good thing.
The video is sad because it reinforces the deeply embedded societal view that is a legacy of slavery that, dark skinned women, like me, are ugly and worthless that are only good to be laughed at. Damien called her the ugliest uber driver he'd ever seen. He seems to be complicit, in fact he seems to encourage this kind of behaviour. This is sad because he is a dark skinned man so it would be expected for him to explain to her how detrimental her behaviour is especially with such a large audience--many of them being children.
Maybe talking about them is just giving them the attention and publicity they want, but that doesn' mean they should not be held accountable. The best way to deal with this situation is to not give them the views they so desperately crave. I also think that YouTube should be held accountable. They allow channels like these to profit from ignorance but demonitise educational channels.

I look at you. I look right in your eyes... and all I see are a bunch of trashy daydreams.
