Introduction/Rules

Howdy howdy! Welcome to the official account for Starr's Avatar World! A VRChat avatar hub for anyone to yoink my models and use them as they please.

I currently only create Splatoon and Undertale/Deltarune models, and personal more gifty type ones for my friends and family. This account is going to showcase update logs, and has asks open for requests! You can ask for an avatar, or ask for your art to be displayed in a future update! You an also let me know if theres an issue with the avatars this way as well!

My main account, on the other hand, is where you'll find all the renders and WIP screenshots. Only go there if you'd like updates on specific avatars. Now that stuffs outta the way, I think its best I establish rules for if you DO plan on requesting models, or for your art to be shown. Any asks breaking these rules will be ignored or deleted immediately, with no exceptions. • Obviously, no NSFW or violent suggestions. I think this is pretty clear. • Don't spam my asks, please. You will be blocked lol. • I'm only going to strive to make my models as canon as possible to the original source. Anything headcanony is a personalized gift for people close to me or for myself. Please only ask for the character themself because I wont do your headcanons. • Do not force me to make avatars, this applies to the spamming rule as well. I'm still in school and I have other things to focus on outside of my models. Making one avatar can take me up to a week or two but trust me, planned avatars will be made eventually. It just takes a lot of patience.

I wanted to give a quick shout out to my partner's recently created blog @rbxl-wanderer in case any of you also find game exploration and surreal spaces interesting!

It's about Roblox games and maps. Even if you don't play yourself, if you're the type to enjoy exploring the worlds people make in Gmod and VRChat and similar games, you might find it cool to see some of the things people have created.

I feel like the platform gets a bad reputation because the stuff that gets boosted the most is often more along the lines of typical mobile games and people seem to think that's all it is. But the reality is that if you're willing to dig a little, it's a treasure trove of people making things they thought would look cool, or making the worlds their OC's live in real in some way, or telling stories, or practicing their game development skills, or any number of possibilities really.

There are also places with a lot of gameplay that are really good and genuinely fun as well, and his blog showcases a bit of everything. Many of the places being shown are experiences we explored together, as we have spent many many hours going through all sorts of things.

Consider checking it out! And if you do play or decide to start, I definitely recommend looking at the games for yourself sometime!

Today I will introduce you to the game in the VR Category which is VRChat!

VRChat is a Virtual World social game created by Graham Gaylor and Jesse Joudrey developed and published by VRChat Inc. It was first released on January 16, 2014 as an app for the Oculus Rift then released on Steam on February 1, 2017. It’s a place to meet all kinds of people from around the globe in a virtual environment. VRChat’s content are created by its amazing community creating avatars, worlds, games and more. It’s a game with thousands of games inside it. From scenic worlds to game worlds that will blow your mind. And the best part? It’s free to play!You can play the game even without a VR, with just your PC on desktop mode. You can also play it without a PC using a standalone VR like the Quest 2 or Pico 4.

First up, in VRChat you can be who you want to be! Be your popular anime, game, or movie character. You can choose your own gender from being a girl, boy, and other genders. You can join different types of fandoms and groups from Warhammer, Undertale, FNAF, roleplayers, ravers, hobbyist or tech enthusiasts, no matter your taste you’ll find a place for you. I've been catching myself losing self awareness yesterday and today. However I have been good about expressing myself like I've meant to. I consciously make sure my thoughts are being voiced and that I'm exploring my surroundings/situation in my own way.

This morning mom took me to the store so I could pick up some water and rice. It went well and I got to ride in the new car. The guy mom works with is very nice and tried to make small talk at the register but I was having a hard time understanding what he was saying and I should have spoke up but instead I just nodded and agreed. It was a very short trip to the store. When I got back I made beef stew with macaroni noodles, a large breakfast since I did treadmill later.

I was a little late to stream but the warmup went well and I worked on commissions like usual. I ended a little bit early to do my treadmill on time after spending some of the commission time working on a personal thing. My bestie has been making it to more streams even while she is working and I am happy about that.

I did my full treadmill workout while watching the gamescom showcase. I haven't been interested in anything I saw. I took my shower, did my dishes, and made lunch. Lunch was fish sticks, macaroni and cheese, doritos, and an applesauce.

While doing afternoon work I was trying to find someone to talk to but my friend's server was empty and VRchat was dead so I ended up in TDS for a little bit before painting in VR while hanging out with random furry in a group instance. The painting went well, it's a birthday gift for my bestie. I really messed up the proportions while studying so I had to touch them up big time in photoshop and do a little patchwork in SAI. I think it's looking real good though and I hope she likes it. I know she will.

After work I hopped in VR early to hang out with a new friend I made who is pretty cool. It was very chill at first, even when one of my potentially inflammatory friends joined. We all had good conversation but after taking them to my room scan world where her friends took the piss out of me, I started having a bad time. Things got rowdy, then got even rowdier and the only reason I stayed on is because I still wanted to play with my bestie. So that happened and I had a little more fun towards the end. I felt like I should have kept myself cool through all of it but the reality is I am tired of hanging out in situations where I have to put up with it. It's supposed to be fun, not something to sit through. I want to make more friends that build me up, people I truly want to be around and explore. Not bozos that annoy me more often than not.

I think that linking a world just allows you to view details but there's the link nonetheless. There are a few videos on YouTube too just showcasing the place. It's not much to look at graphically as it's a bit bare in some spots like around the train platform, but it's still very nice to explore. You can toggle rain too but I wouldn't recommend turning it on if playing in VR as it messes up your eyes. Some of my favourite spots in the world are the hotel on top of the train station where you spawn in, the tiny bar with extremely steep steps and the Ryokan building on the far end of the map.

I may be walking around later, you'd know me if you see me. Look out for the giant cockatoo hair.

And I will warn you, when entering any place with a bed or futon, there will be a bump in the bedding as if someone is there. It's okay. It scared me too. But there's nothing there. I checked.

VRChat is free on Steam and doesn't take a computer as strong as All Might to run it either. If you haven't already tried it, give it a go. I also recommend the world Test Pilots.
