"How are you so calm?" Mingyu asks holding your hand as he's kneeling before you on the sofa.
"What do you want me to do, Gyu? Throw a tantrum, cry my heart out? Will any of that stop you from getting married to her?" You ask and your lips start quivering.
He thinks you're calm and collected right now but any moment now, you think you'll burst. Because the love of your life is set to get married to another woman. The voice in the back of your head tells you, that you should've known before falling for him.
"Will we not fight? For love?" Mingyu is breaking now because it didn't seem real before he told you. He figured he'd tell you and that you guys would come up with a plan. But you both know it's going to be futile now.
"Gyu..." You start crying now and Mingyu jumps up to embrace you.
It takes you back to the first day you met. The Kim estate owners were well known but nobody had seen the new hire yet. Mr. Kim had not passed away, simply retired as his son was ready to take over. You were standing with all the other employees to witness the debut of Kim Mingyu.
And there he comes, with a smile on his face and polite manners. Everybody in the room can see, he's handsome. The day feels quite long but it's over and all you can hear is how enamored everybody is with their new boss. You knew better than to dote on him, because that would be very risky as you were his new secretary. You were old Mr. Kim's assistant secretary and handled all foreign clients and as Mingyu was bound to work with them, Mr. Kim trusted you to be alongside him.
"I'm sure dad won't mind baby, he likes you." Mingyu says from the top of your head and gives it a loving kiss.
"He likes the employee I am, not my tax bracket babe." You say trying to make the both of you smile.
"It doesn't matter, love. You're the only person I'll marry, I can't have it any other way."
"Gyu, you're the sole hire to all of your estates, you need to think about the company."
"Fuck the company, it's only going bring a few couple billions in and I feel like we'd still be fine without it."
"You rich fucking people." You say as you both start to chuckle.
"Marry me before they marry me off to some other girl, Y/n."
"Want me to buy you a ring?" You smile with tears in your eyes.
And you're lucky again to see his smile that blinds you every time. Kim Mingyu is a star, he shines the brightest. But all he wants to do is shine with you. He shines for you. And he'd be damned if he let's his father get in the way of his love.

“What do you think?” Supervillain asked, turning on the light from the start of the stairs “I try to be well read in all subjects, but I have to be honest with you, this is not at all my area of expertise, I asked some of my employees for advice and I think it should be good for immediate use, if you're up to it.”
Civilian stood still at the start of the set of stairs leading down to the basement. From there they managed to see the interior, the bright lights and the white walls allowed for a good sight of what awaited them. A sterile room, it smelled not of spilled chemicals -yet-, and even when smaller and size and, most probably, in tech than the one they had foolishly expected from the heroes in their quarters, it was useful enough, nice enough, well-equipped and, most importantly, made for them specially.
They couldn’t help but utter a small smile as they stared at Supervillian extending their hand at them from the middle of the stairs. 
Supervillain answered with one just as shy, just as uncertain. 
And Civilian accepted it. 
A week had already passed since the incident with Hero, and even as their gaze still lingered in the open doors and the unlocked windows, something within them kept them inside. It was no longer Supervillain, no, of course they had not yet mentioned the wish to let them go, to let them roam freely even, and it was understood that they didn't want such a thing yet, but the fear rooting in the scientist’s stomach was in way of fading, and the uncertainty to the outside was what really had them on edge.
They had been scared for a while, that the promised laboratory was to be in the Villain’s quarters, and that the assurances they were given were nothing more than one more contract they were to fulfil. And they were willing, somewhat, it felt like they owed Supevillain from saving them from something they shouldn't have needed saving from, it felt like they had nowhere else to go. 
The relief that washed over Civilian when they were told the lav was to be in the manor made them feel so light they could float. 
Light was their touch as they stroked over the tables, at the doors of the cabinets. Curious eyes travelled up and down the walls, even the light switches looked fancy, and the handles for the doors, the refrigerators. Everything was neat and organised. 
Everything was for them. 
Supervillain looked at them from one of the stools at the corner of the room, and the sight amused them greatly. They looked so rough for a place with such delicate things laying around. 
Civilian laughed. 
“Do you like it? Like I said, this is not really my field, but if you’re in need of anything just tell me, I can supply it from the things back at the labs at the base, Villain knows a lot more.” 
“I do like it.” They answered “I’ll have to check, but it seems way better equipped than anywhere I’ve been in, honestly.”
 “Investing in great minds is always wise.” 
“Thank you, for the trust.” 
“That’s certainly my line,” Supervillain answered, leaning back in their seat “Oh! I have one more gift for you.”
A glass vial filled with a dark red liquid was taken from their jacket’s front pocket, and extended as an offer.
Civilian’s eyes lit up “Yours?” the other nodded.

“A vial of your blood?” Villain asked incredulously, lifting a brow as they rolled in their chair closer to Supervillain “How romantic.” 
“Silence, Villain, it’s of use for them.”
“It was of use for me a while ago, and here we are, I never had it.” 
“But now you have three whole entire heroes all for yourself, enjoy the gifts of life.” 
Supervillain stood up, walking slowly towards the door. 
“You leaving so early?” Villain asked from their seat “Can’t leave your pet dining alone?” 
“Careful Villain.” 
“Sure. See ya.”

MY NOTES: oh this fic!!! the fic of all time!! the conversations had in this fic really dig right into your heart and hit where it hurts, but i just loved every bit of it. stephanie is the balance to a lot of the grief that clouds around bruce, dick and babs and it was just handled marvelously in this. must read!

We heard the word ‘Emotional Intelligence’ a lot this recent year. It is also used in businesses now.
But how does it affect businesses?
What does it mean?
When it comes to the intelligence we always think of IQ- Intelligence Quotient. But now businesses are valuing emotional intelligence as it is a better indicator of a person's success in a career. We already know IQ is a score of a person’s reasoning ability derived from some set of tests. Whereas, emotional intelligence is the ability to understand, manage, identify and use emotions positively. An emotionally intelligent person knows how to handle stress, communicate effectively, overcome challenges, defuse conflict and emphasize with others.
With changing times organizations are focusing more on being agile. But while doing so they are more concentrated on making their processes agile but neglect to make their employees agile. But smart organizations know to make both agile. Emotional Intelligence is an important aspect of developing an agile workforce. With EQ training organizations can train employees to be more resilient, keen listeners, lifelong learners, clear and good communicators, proactive and collaborative.

Why Emotional Intelligence is Important in Agile?
Agile heavily depends on teamwork and more honest, transparent communication both within and outside the team with stakeholders and clients. Hence leaders and employees need to have better control over their emotions to handle any situation and provide the agile required qualities. It is difficult for leaders with less EQ to control their own emotions which will affect their everyday work creating issues in their leadership.
EQ is a skill and it can be developed. Emotional intelligence can be practiced and set in the person with the help of training and in many agile organizations training to boost the EQ of employees are a regular part of the work system. Let’s see ways to boost Emotional Intelligence in agile organizations or any other organizations.
Avoid Conflicts
Conflicts will never bring any positive solution to the discussion. Be aware of your trigger points and try to avoid them this will help in avoiding conflict and can save lots of effort later to normalize that situation. In some cases you will observe others causing conflict even after you are avoiding it then it is wise to leave the location for some time or calm them.
Learn to Cope with Failure
Many times failures cause us to lose our confidence in ourselves. But instead of thinking that we are permanently deficient we can identify the reason for our failure and learn to overcome them and do better. This will give us an ability to digest failure and improve ourselves for further situations making us better EQ people.
Be Responsible for Your Actions
An honest attempt to make things right is more welcomed by people than avoiding responsibility for your actions. It also creates a good image of yours. If you have hurt anyone’s feelings apologize directly without ignoring what you did. Before taking any action put yourself in other's shoes and see how it will affect them. Always examine your actions before taking them and be sure what you are doing is needed or not.
Manage Emotional Health
Good emotional health brings good spirit to our work and daily life boosting our confidence and energy to be active. When genuine interest is shown in others and pays attention to their words, actions, and responses you will observe a boost in your social life. Be alert to your emotional health and try to maintain it.

Be Aware of your Words as well as Body Language
We are not aware of words and our expressions and how they impact others. Even not aware of what our body language is telling us. Impactful positive body language can be learned, ask any trusted team member to provide you immediate feedback after any event. This will help you soften your delivery and be aware of what your body language indicates to others.
Pre-Framing and Reviewing
To obtain exciting and meaningful learning pre-framing and reviewing are commonly used teaching techniques. In pre-framing teams discuss what needs to be done before starting the work. Doing so while working brain is already engaged. This method helps in understanding the difficulties that can be faced and hence gives chance to brainstorm solutions.
After completion of the product, reviewing is done by the team with a twist of explaining two things they learned about users. This helps in closing the gap between the user and the team.
Provide Meaningful and Worthwhile Feedback

Perfect Paradise Ch.16: Can We Work it Out? Can We Be a Family?
Summary: A dream fulfilled.

A sigh left Marinette as she leaned back, the last outfit of the main line passing inspection. Her team was experienced and capable. She should really trust them more but Marinette preferred to double check. Needed to double check. To make sure anything that could conceivably go wrong wouldn't.
She took a breath.
Marinette had gotten a better handle on her anxiety as she got older. But the whole divorce really drained her. So here she was triple checking dresses that didn't need it.
Turning her catastrophizing into an asset was a skill that served Marinette well as Ladybug.
Like with the akuma victim earlier that day. Ladybug always had a backup plan... Except, it was Viperion's plan. Viperion's successful plan.
For years Marinette told herself that was different! Viperion didn't just see the future he experienced it. Several versions of it. Luka had more information than her that's why she let him take point sometimes. That was all.
...
Marinette's eyes ran along the contours of the dress. Black, sleek, with lines of green accentuating it's form.
"Ma'am?" Marinette's assistant spoke up. "If that's done we still have the-"
"Actually... I think we're done for the day. I'll leave it in the team's capable hands." Marinette stood and began heading for the door.
Her assistant stared for a second before hurrying to catch up. "Oh-kay? Um, the models are ready for practice runs."
"Tell their supervisor to contact me if there are any problems."
"... Jen and Dina are fighting again."
"I will fire them if they can't act like adults."
Marinette saw the surprise flicker across her assistant's face. "What? I mean, I am the boss. I can delegate."
Apparently it was a day for uncharacteristic boldness because her assistant replied: "Yes, we know that ma'am but we were wondering if you did."
Marinette's eyes narrowed. "Who's this 'we'?"
"... No one!"
"Uh-huh." Marinette smirked.
After almost twenty years her employees were painfully aware of Marinette's micromanaging habits. They were saints about it but more permanent progress on Marinette's part was overdue.
They passed the traditionally inspired lines of clothing. Accepting that Marinette wasn't as up to date on Chinese fashion as she hoped had been a bitter pill to swallow. But she had quickly rectified that. Hiring talented designers from her mother's country and powering through the embarrassment of the foux pas.
Her assistant stopped walking as a notification pinged her tablet.
"C'mon, we'll finally have you home at a decent hour," Marinette teased, walking towards the front doors of her building.
"Ma'am!" Her assistant held out her tablet. It was the gossip section of the evening news. A muted video of Nino sprinting into a cab to escape the paparazzi played. With the headline: "Adrien Dupain-Cheng's New Husband Refuses to Deny Cheating Allegations".
Marinette felt her jaw drop as she stared at it... What the fuck? She turned her head back to the exit. Now that she was looking there were at least two news vans visible past the glass doors. Probably more.
"Fuck that." Marinette marched to the elevator. "Call the hovercar."
Her assistant's fingers blurred over the tablet as she sent instructions. "But you said that was only for-"
"This definitely counts!" Marinette hit the button for the roof. Pulling out her phone and holding it to her ear.
There was a click as her best friend answered.
"Alya!"
"I'm guessing you saw," Alya replied distractedly. Voices and movement audible on the other side.
"Did you know they-"
"Nino mentioned it. Fucking gossip channels are eating into our viewership! I'm gonna need interviews from Adrien and Nino to get ahead of this bullshit... God I hate that."
"You didn't tell me?"
"Marinette, girl, I love you. But it wasn't really my place to say. Was it?"
"... I guess not."
Alya seemed to pause what she was doing. "Where are you?"
The elevator dinged open just as the hovercar pilot was starting the engine.
"On my way home."

The way I thought “sir, this is a Radio Shed” seconds before this kid not being paid enough to listen to Chuck’s monologue said it
Ok I still hate Chuck but from a writer pov this…this is how I hear a lot of writers talk about their characters so at least it’s funny AND accurate
Oh lord…”it’s time to start canceling shows” and boy howdy have shows been canceled left and right
It’s weird having Sam be the one who’s skeptical of Jack. Cas still has every faith in him, Dean trusts Billie, but Sam? Nah
Ohhhhhhhh ok so other Kaia has Jody. If it were literally anyone or anything else she’d either have it handled or she’d be dead already
Kaia’s ALIVE. We’re really sewing in so many loose threads.
Cas, you are disappointing me with how bad you are at connect four
Cas and Jody have never met til now???? In season 15 episode 12?????? Wtf
I know they meant for Jody’s line about what to do with other Kaia in the meantime was supposed to sound badass or something but considering she’s a cop, it was actually just disturbing
No because literally how have they not met before??? Cas who still looks like Jimmy Novak and Jody who’s been Claire Novak’s caretaker for YEARS now

Of COURSE there’s magically some kind of warding they can now do against Chuck and other cosmic entities so Jack can use his powers so the Kaias can trade places or something. I can’t imagine why other Kaia would want to STAY in her dying world, but I understand why she’d want to see it one last time. I hope she doesn’t stay but I fear she will
Why did Sam pronounce her name like KAY-uh. No one’s ever done that before. Had to rewind to make sure Dean didn’t do it too
I knew other Kaia would stay but it seems really stupid
Awwww Kaia is excited to see Claire again
Ah damn. But also, of COURSE Billie is pissed off you’re fucking around with her plans
The one critique I have of Billie’s plan (and really this is more about the spn writers than her) is that the boys want out of Chuck’s prescribed story, they JUST had another god tell them “don’t play his game, make him play your game,” but now it’s sounding like there’s one book in Death’s library for Chuck and the boys have their role in it…like, they’re constantly trying to break out of predetermined stories but this?? This is ok?? For some reason??
This poor Radio Shed employee’s been sleeping on the floor of his place of work, doing everything to serve Chuck for a whole month, just to have Chuck send a whole asteroid right onto the Radio Shed after being assured he’d be just fine.

Plot Description: the Doctor and friends face a brutal battle, across the farthest reaches of space, to protect the human race against the deadly Cybermen
We’re back to where we belong in the timeline. It got a little…wibbly wobbly for a day there you might say
For an abandoned baby in the middle of the road, it’s strangely well taken care of…nice basket, warm blanket, etc
Why do I have the feeling this kid is gonna be the lone cyberman from the previous episode?
There are SEVEN people left on earth??
I’m annoyed that 13 is annoyed that these suffering humans are not better prepared to fight the cybermen when she’s already been told they’ve been running from them
The amount you can do with the cybermen is so funny. You can just take the heads, make those fly around and call them cyberdrones
Why did Ryan get separated in their run from the cybermen?? Y’all better not be turning another companion into a cyberman
I can’t believe they just hotwired the cyberman ship
I now have no doubt that this dude in the past is absolutely the main cybermen they’ve been fighting. Was he chosen by fate or whatever to be the being to bring back the cybermen??
This would be a stupid plan if they had literally any other options

Just Wait In The Truck
So thankfully, the vehicle is working again. What an adventure THAT was.
Debbie, the wise and all knowing, was CONVINCED that it was my solonoid because it clicked when I turned the key. You know, like it does with a mostly dead battery. It had enough to turn my headlights on, but not enough to turn on.
She put water in my battery, which somehow killed it even MORE. I know jack shit about a car’s engine so I have no idea why. Not even being sarcastic there. So, Debbie and I called every single person we could think of and between the two of us, we could not find a SINGLE person able or willing to drive my stupid ass to Walmart to buy another battery. How my same stupid ass was going to install it once I got it was a bridge I hadn’t reached yet. I probably would have used some old pliers I have.
I spent most of the day as a bundle of frayed nerves trying to figure out some other option. Uber won’t even bother to come OUT This far.
Well, enter Jay. By sheer chance, Debbie managed to call him in a rare moment when he had his phone with him, and he agreed to come by after work. He does mostly tree work but he’s vague about whatever else he gets up to, so it’s none of my business.
Jay is one of dad’s friends and used to be one of his drinking buddies before he moved. He also helps Debbie with the occasional odd job. Nice guy, heavy drinker, mouth worse than mine and somehow both a better AND worse driver than I am. (Speeds, drifts all over the lanes, looks away form the road, and yet never hit so much as a pothole. It was terrifying)
He takes a glance at my engine and goes “Your battery’s burnt out. Let me get my tools.” I could have kissed him. He gets everything unhooked and even lifts the damn thing out and puts it in the back of his truck for me.
So we get to the local Walmart, and go to autocenter. It took three damn employees, not a one of them a manager, to work the damn register in order to let someone else buy a can of Fix-A-Flat. I was about to make a lightbulb joke. So, it’s finally our turn in line. The cashier brings out the book to look up the battery I need. The website says there’s a $70 option in stock at THIS store. Never trust the website.
So anyway, cashier looks, even peeks in the back, and says they don’t have ANYTHING in stock that would fit my Pathfinder. Well shit. So she looks it up and the Walmart the next town over has some in stock. I ask Jay if he’s willing to go all the way over there and he says may as well. One way or another, though, I’m walking out of there with a battery even if he has to jury-rig something.
Thankfully it didn’t come to that. This Walmart not only had what we needed, the ONE SINGLE GUY working the register was actually competent!! We were in and out of there in less time than it took the other three amigos to even check out the Fix-A-Flat.
Jay carried my old battery into (and out of) both Walmarts, carried my new one back out, put it in, attached everything back up, and even made sure there were NO other issues before he went home again. At one point along the way home we stopped at a gas station and I got a fountain drink. I don’t drink soda very often any more, but I was like “Fuck it, I’m going to kill myself just a little less slowly tonight.” And grabbed a large Pepsi. He was even about to pay for it on my behalf until I told him not too. He never asked for a thing from me.
Honestly, by the time he was done, I was so relieved that if he’d asked me to marry him I would have given it serious consideration LMAO
I need to call and reschedule my interview now that my vehicle’s working again. The guy at the place is REALLY anxious for me to show up, so hopefully I don’t get any MORE problems in my way. I’m not a drinker, so I’m not sure I could handle it. LMAO
